My hope is that current skill points in excess of the 79+world completion points will be turned into Mystic Coins and that instead of skill point scrolls we’ll get mystic coins. Those coins then will be used as currency to purchase items from Myani as well as their current uses.

Q: Will the mystic forge material we get be an existing item or something completely new that you don’t know what to call it yet?

Q: Can you tell us exactly how many skill points each character will retain? And what happens if that character doesn’t have enough skill points to cover what they’ve earned?

If they want it that badly they can try one of the solo friendly tournaments. I know I am. Will I get one? Probably not, but I am going to work my tail off trying to do it. I did it to get the Liadri mini, I can suck it up and face this challenge too.

Okay… probably a stupid question. The instructions now say “Free agents will register as a team, only enter their own account name into the field and leave the rest of the form blank”

I did that, but then the confirmation said it would send me an email confirmation (but I didn’t put in an email address as it said leave other fields blank). Is that fine that my submitted form doesn’t have an email address?

Under the Free Agents rules it states..

You no longer register if you’re a free agent. We will register for you so long as you show up at the designated time.

And yes, skullmount, we changed websites for registration because digitalprosports.com allows for more versatility on our end and much simple signups.

You missed the first like where it says:

But then it doesn’t say how to sign up or explain what those rules are. Yes I understand that once you sign up you need to get there on time and follow the strict ruleset. There’s no FAQ, no Contact Us or information besides that small paragraph.

I’m guessing tichorum is one of the folks who help set up these events so if showing up is all you need to do in order to sign up, then it needs to clearly state that. Stating that you sign up for something implies that you register beforehand and that’s where the OP and I both are confused.

What is this strict ruleset? Doesn’t mention that either. Are the only rules regarding getting to teamspeak in time? That doesn’t seem like a rule*set* just a rule. Am I being nitpicky? Maybe. But I really hate it when you’re trying to sign up for something and it is extremely unclear about the process and in no way explains everything.

Thief and warrior feel the fastest.
Speedy kits on engie help lots
Ranger, necro and d/d ele are also really good.
Mesmer/guardian feel so slow. Guardian less so with staff/retreat shout….Mesmer so very slow.

What I’ve done to combat Mesmer speed issues is I have a sigil of speed in my offhand weapon and when I’m doing a heart or clearing mobs I wind up with 2+ minutes of speed and that helps SO very much.

It was a question of managing resources. If they had made all town clothes into outfits, we probably wouldn’t have seen the wardrobe for another 5-6 months. Much as I like some of the town clothes (and little as I use the tonics), I am happy to have gotten the wardrobe sooner, in exchange for losing out on some cool sets.

I think this is about the “basic” town clothes, the ones that looked different for each race.

Those, at least, should be outfits. Consider them a “gateway outfit” to let people try the idea, and maybe get more new players to buy some from the gemstore.

Exactly this completely. I want my sylvari hot pants back! I still have 14+ of my casual town clothes we used to get upon creation. I want these to be come an outfit. One free outfit for everyone so they can try outfits. It wouldn’t be the only outfit that is different for everyone based on their race (chef outfit is like that too).

I guess I can understand why they didn’t convert the single pieces into outfits and the head pieces became universal helms (I still want those bunny ears to come back), but they really should turn those into outfits too…or if nothing else just make the single pieces fit with one of the weight classes. tonics were silly for that.

Hey, all good. Regardless, it’s good to have that pointed out that the first two iterations of the precursor in hunt will be based on the current skin and the actual current skin. It’s only the third (tradeable) version that will be a new precursor skin.

And the first tier precursor could be quite interesting too if you like the current precursor skin but it’s too shiny or whatever. I’m looking forward to seeing what the new skins will look like (tier 1 & 3).

Anything that gets me more options for planty armor, I’m all for. Sounds like a neat idea too.

The old skins will not cease to exist. The old skins are assigned to the two pre-precursor weapons you receive while doing the new collections. This was in the information on the new precursor crafting method.

The mini might be unlocked when you use it in the forge like skins are which means you would maybe lose any you already dropped in your wardrobe BUT if you just save the rest of them you can unlock them when you create the next level.

Sadly no, when you craft one new version of the mini llama, you unlock only the new mini pet in your inventory but if you want to unlock the skin you need to store it on your wardrobe (consequently you’ll lose it and you won’t able to use it in the mystic forge.)

In this video, he crafts the fancy version but he doesn’t unlock the skin, he only receives the new version.

The old skins will still exists with the exception of The Hunter and Rodgort’s Flame as they all have look-a-like weapons. Naegling – Dusk, Khrysaor, the Golden Sword – Dawn, Illya/Lyss – Chaos Gun…etc.

I plan on getting a second account for me and my husband next time it goes on sale for the laurels and the mystic coins. I hate how few mystic coins we get now!

This happened to me yesterday…and every other time I’ve brought my mesmer to Teq. I participated in, got kill credit during EVERY single battery phase. I was at the same battery for the entire time from start to end and still only got credit for one of the three battery phases. I wound up with the fine & exotic dragon chests but not the masterwork or rare ones because I didn’t get event credit. I was there, in the event circle, getting kill credit for mobs at the event and still no credit for the event. I bug reported it and will never do Teq on my mesmer again, which is a shame I do love playing him. My only theory is that because he’s mostly condi set up I don’t do enough physical damage to get credit. The one event I did get credit for was only a bronze medal. I bring my full zerk ranger and I can do enough damage to tag two battery events during each battery phase (tag megalazer on the way to East). That’s my only guess. I shouldn’t have to bring a full damage build to get full event credit. That’s not right.

I liked them all except for the female charr ones.

Still want some funny/odd sylvari ones like the pineapple hair below or perhaps some literal corn rows…with actual ears of corn. >.>

Ranger pets STILL attack when you use their ability, even when Passive. So again, you have to micro-manage the pet.

Personally, I never send my pet in to fight because they are absolutely USELESS and die instantly. It’s there to buff me with Might (Junglestalker) and heal me (Fern Hound) that’s all! I do not want my pet dying, it needs to remain at my side.

I am fed up of using it’s “F2” skill to gain a boon, and then having to spam “F3” over and over to recall it back to me so it doesn’t die instantly!

Why wasn’t this fixed?

Also, why can we still not hide pets in combat?

the pet isn’t just meant to be your personal boon dispenser, if that’s how you use it you’re going to have to get used to spamming f3. if you have a logitech or razr mouse use a macro.

Yeah, the F2 thing you describe isn’t a bug. It’s always been that way and is intended. It’s the same as you hitting one of your weapon skills and your auto attack continuing after.

and those 3 hits only give you 2 mithril ore. Also, in that zone in particular if you mine all of the ore there once, it’s gone until reset. It doesn’t respawn. I can chop trees and harvest cactus all day and they respawn as they should. Mithril doesn’t.

The same camera way high above your head issue you get with the moredrem husk tonic happens with the endless mordrem troll tonic too.

I don’t see making them easier to get being a bad thing. I’d like to finish treasure hunter but I’m not going to pay the exorbitant prices on the trading post.

Yeah that would be nice I agree. If nothing else a “don’t target yellow creatures/objects” would be useful.

I did that once with an armor box that dropped from fractals, I picked the wrong weight class. They had me destroy the armor piece then they verified that it was deleted and sent me the piece I really meant to get. Just be careful in the future because once or twice and they’ll fix your mistake, but if you keep doing it they likely won’t fix it again in the future. I now double and triple check what I want out of boxes before I say yes I want that.

That seems like it’s working. I don’t like it when it selects a WvW Tower Wall or a non-hostile creature, but it targeting a ranger pet or another hostile mob does seem to be as it should be.

When you buy one, you will right click on it and select “Add to account wardrobe”. Once you do that in your hero panel (H) you will then find the tab for Miniatures and there you can equip that mini (or any other you’ve unlocked) for any and all characters on your account. Always and forever.

They’ve said they want to put season 1 into the format season 2 is in, but as it wasn’t designed that way it’s going to take time to reformat it. I hope it does come back….it’ll help make season 1 feel way less disjointed too.
