Buy dragon coffer, molten core, low volumn thing like aetherized weapon and monocle. Those will go up!
And all those items OP listed definately worth investing. Just wait a few more weeks before buying them, since the event will go on for a month. Buy them at the rock button price. Good luck!

Following that same line of logic we don’t even need to play the game at all. Saying you don’t need to do something in a game because it’s optional is stupid because playing the game to begin with is optional.

Not every content is designed for everyone. There are other people who may enjoy the content beside of you.

The truth is you actually need to be good to make money from dungeon.
But anyone can follow a zerg train to farm mobs or champion regardless of skill.
I think the problem is in the reward. The whole ticket, gambit, economy, farming, Risk vs reward thing.
If the event isn’t so closely tied up to the economy and reward, they’ll probably remove the punishing(investing) factor.
I’m trying to do it on my guardian now with 3 gambit. Usually got it to like 10-20% and he teleport and I didn’t even use fraity.
What I do now with my lack of dps, is I just aegis after he teleport, since I don’t have dodge roll with gambit. And renewd focus and another aegis etc etc.
But like Broadicea said, you can do it with other class too. Guardian actually take longer if you use class which use shorter cooldown.

If you thoroughly read my post, you’d see that I have no problem with something that “hard”, “difficult”, or “challenging”. I merely dislike punishing aspects, and I’ve listed out all of the ones I could think of in the OP. These are things like glitches, punishments, and bad designs that should/need to be remedied.

The dungeon reward is actually really good, if everyone run at strife speedrun speed.
But the truth is most pug take like 10 minutes just to form a group and get everyone into the dungeon. And takes like 2+ times longer than speed run time.

You might as well complain to every living soul logging in why they arn’t doing the CS event.
In berserker gear, it take monster 1-2 second to kill me.
In full toughness gear, it take monster 1.3-2.6 second to kill me.
Now people’ll start complaining well, give toughness more mitigation….
But the game is desgined that you have to move and dodge to avoid damage.
So I’m not sure where everything is heading.
You need to say if you are US or EU.
I saw a few people asking around just like you are doing. But in the end, nothing turn out. I think they are too busy farming champions and crown pavillion.

Make defense gear do more dps.
The truth is, I don’t really know. If berserker people don’t have a problem surviving, Im’ not sure what’s the point on making tank build more durable and healing build heal more.
My suggestion is make certain skill as unlock so you can only use it if you have a certain number of toughness or healing power.

I just realized I only take 30% less damage in full toughness compare to berserker.
The problem I believe is berserker and tank have the same ablility(beside the limited different in trait).
Maybe if tank have better ability and more ability(for example only tank guardian can use reflect etc), that’ll promote different build.
Aka remove the whole skill system, and use skill tree like every other mmorpg out there, so if you want defense ability you have to spec for it.

It only took me a few hours to get to Lupi solo, and I never run arah before. But I’m not pro like those people on youtube to solo Lupi. So I’m stuck there.

Dungeon path rewards were said to have been decided with consideration of “length” and “difficulty” which was confirmed on the live stream on 5th August. However their changes reflected neither. Lets say length: Cof p1 is not the same length as HoTw p3. Lets say difficulty: AC p3 is not the same difficulty as Arah p3.
My question to you all is, is there any form of thinking that could have allowed them to decide these rewards? Are they planning on changing it?
The thing is everyone are expecting a buff.
“All” the dungeon path are already given “more gold than before”.
Your expectation is to buff HOTW p3 and Arah p3.
Maybe the developer don’t want to give us more gold at all (for economy and gem shop reason).
If you really think those dungeon are of different length, do you mind they nerf cof1 and ac3 to 50 silver to balance things out?
The real question is if the developer actually want to give us more gold. That I’m not sure of.
And giving cof and ac some gold give those “casual players” who have limited time some bone.
Obviously the fastest way to level is crafting with gold.
If you have a level80 you can farm gold and level alt.
If you don’t have a level80 you can buy gem with real money sell that for gold and level up.
If you are too poor to spend real money, I suggest farm the mobs in the crown pavillion in the human starting city. I just test it and get 2 level per hour. On top of that you can make decent money. And the money can help you level faster too through crafting. Which is much better than just doing map completion and personal story which only give roughly 1 level per hour.
Anet did everything I guessed, giving most dungeon 1 gold, and the hardest path 3 gold.
Only thing I guess wrong is I thought they’ll only give cof path1 50 silver.
The truth is Anet buffed the reward for every dungeon. There might be less complaint if Anet did what I original guessed and put cof path 1 at 50 silver.
Oh yah, SE2, HOTW23, COF3 I think obviously deserver 1.50 or 2 gold.
Beside that, All my guess is right.
I think the whole point is to nerf cof farmers. Beside that everyone else really is getting more gold for any of the dungeon path.

I do agree with the OP. I think the gap between offense and defense gear is too great. So it is hard to design pve content when group can consist of 5 tank to 5 glasscannon.
That being said, a 30% difference in effecitive health also mean the difference between being able to stay full health or die.
I really think Anet should consider “for pve” lessen the gap between offense and defense gear.
But on the other hand, player should realize they should get a berserker set. Having a bunch of gear and build don’t mean every build is viable in every situation. It mean you should learn to adapt and use different gear and build in different situation.

The problem is this game is made for millions of player to play. Not just you. Some other people may enjoy it.
That’s the beauty of the game. Even if you don’t enjoy certain part of the game, you may enjoy other part of it. There’s something for everyone.
So if you find “this specific” content unenjoyable to play, just dont’ do it.
Nothing set to stone so far. I think leader is still setting up.
Probably most important is the schedule and “how many dungeon” people intend to do.
Anyway hook me up, I’m interested too. It also seemed most people are just farming the new event, so not many people is interested in dungeon atm.

quite honestly, learn to run through trash mobs is one of the most challenging content for dungeon.
if people only learn to use stability and sigil of energy and some of their running/dashing/dodging ability, people’ll learn how to skip trash.
No, cof runners used to use omnom bars not because of the MF but because of the coin increase and because cof p1 is so ridiculously easy that no one needed consumables that actually contributed more to the group. Now bosses no longer drop coin so the value of the omnom bar decreased significantly.
That’s why I put parenthess (mostly for silver drop). I understand it’s not MF, but the idea is similar. You actually “gain” something that’s worth while to sacrifice dps.
It’s just not worthwhile to use MF in dungeon, unless that dungeon have alot of trash mob.
The reason omnom bars are acceptable in cof p1 is 1) farmers wore berserker gear anyway 2) p1 is so easy, dps consumables weren’t even needed.
That doesn’t mean +MF stat isn’t still a leecher stat.
The answer can be summerized as in (they are trying to min/max their profit), omnon bars are acceptable because they maximize their profit.
It have nothing to do with p1 being too easy or they already have enough dps. Else they wont’ kick anyone on the spot just because they have the wrong rune.
That’s what make the fight interesting. If you could just face tank autoattack, what’s the point.
I won’t make inscription just because I dont’ felt it is safe. Then again, I don’t have problem with bank space.
You never know what’s Anet going to do, the next legendary might be a trinket, and you might have precursor hunt for all item so you dont’ need to worry about precursor.

If you can “make money” on your lvl33 character somehow, just grind money and craft.
I’m not sure what item are droping for you on your lvl33 in queens’ pavillion. But if gives decent money, you can use it for crafting.
well I dont’ have a problem with magic find. If magic find gives you more reward, everyone should be wearing magic find.
Infact people already do, for example cof runners use omnomberry bar(mostly for more silver drop). They don’t use dps food.
The problem is most of the dungeon don’t have many trash, and most of the loot come from chest and silver drop which isn’t affected by magic find.
So “group wise” it is better to not use MF. But personally wise you do gain more assuming everyone else is wearing zerker. So it really comes down to being selfish.
If it is really worth to wear MF in dungeon, everyone should be wearing MF and we wont’ have this discussion already.
No, range and damage are higher in a list that has no relevant ordering. You assumption is completely wrong. Zerkers never take aggro away from my guardian tank. The people who do are the mixed-builds who still deal decent damage but have pretty high toughness/armor.

Or a knight ranger who dont’ melee?

So if you look at the original topic, the guy is wearing MF gear. So I obviously have more agro than him, so what’s wrong with me saying I have all the agro, of course I die easier.
And infact I always have agro in almost all the pug. Maybe just maybe if all the pug know what weapon to choose to max dps, and use apporpriate potion, and sigil, and dps rotation. They’ll grab agro in knight gear, but anything less zerker still have all the agro, just because they are typical min/maxer.

It has nothing to do with rushing. I play with zerker gear because it’s better, but I still “sit back and enjoy it”.
There’s a large difference between people who want to “sit back and enjoy it”, and people who want to pick weak stats. I know, I know: people enjoy build diversity. So do I, especially as a big GW1 fan. But this game’s design does not treats all builds equally. So don’t blame the players for “rushing in”, blame the systems. It’s the systems and the mechanics in place that discriminate most non-zerker builds.
But the system isn’t flawed, the player’s logic is. I never run with zerker parties and I’ve done every dungeon just fine. Nothing in PvE requires zerker gear(or any other stat combo for that matter), the players do. I just hope that when they release the LFG tool that they make it as easy to see who I don’t want to play with as it is now.
The difference is you probably complete the dungeon in an hour while another group can do it in 10 minutes.

When the rock button is I dont’ know. There is still a month for the event. If you bought the material now, instead of week down the line, you might regret you can pay better price.
In my opinion the real problem is that most people just want to rush through the content as fast as possible rather than sit back and enjoy it. I like that so many groups advertise that they only want people in zerker gear, it tells me who I don’t want to play with.
Although I don’t use MF gear I do agree it doesn’t need to be removed. If that’s how people want to play then by all means they should be able to.

And the only joy of doing the same dungon over and over again(which I have done so many times) is find ways to do it more efficiently.
There is only 2 challenge for me for dungeon. One is to actually complete the dungeon, the other is do it as fast as possible.
People need to stop with the I had to rez zerker comment.
First of all, they have all the agro, so of course they die easier. Second of all, if you are in zerker too most trash and easier boss will die fast enough that the zerker won’t die.
I kind of wear zerker 100% of the time now. The thing is I can always range if I’m in trouble.
And you are probably better of wearing full zerker and use consumable, or sigil of bloodlust, or restoration etc things like that for defense.
And people need to stop with the “try those harder dungeon in zerker and you’ll see”. There are already numerous solo zerker video for dungeons. And only few dungeon which can’t be soloed are only due to mechanic.
Beside people forget the main point. The reason for numerous build/armor is so you can adapt. You are suppose to change armor and build, weapon and sigil in different situation.
Over in LOD we’ve been running dungeon marathons for a while now (they’re a really nice break from running CoE triplets over and over and over and over).

Extra slots mean extra storage, more classes. Although I can’t decide which gives better value, bank slots or char’ slots. (You can have 11 slots on one account?).
i have 22 character. someone have 40. I don’t think there’s limit.
As a person with 2893 hours played. 11 level 80. 8 of them with map completion and all personal story….
You do realize you have to do double the amount of work? Aka daily twice a day, guild mission 2 times a week etc etc.
I actually just bought another account. And as a person who play 10+ hours a day, I barely have enough time to do everything.
So if that is really what you want. Give it a rest, and buy another account already.
Everytime after the match is over, there is a screen for the next fight(I can join blue team red team etc etc).

Multi accounts is superior in every way.
Untill you realize you need to buy another set of perma bank license, perma merchant license, perma trading post license, and more bank tab. 4x 5 slot bags and nothing else would do the trick.
Seriously, there are 25 dungeon exp path. If you can complete all of them in a day all prop to you.

Perm TP / Bank / merchant all accounts have at starts. It’s called que wvw walk a few steps then log out and in.
I’m spoiled. I have 9 permanent bank license. Once you start using it, you wont’ go back.

No. I’m not, I never got to do the Aetherblade Retreat because Rangers’ pets were too much of a liability. (Exact words.) I don’t do Fractals because I got tired of arguing about why I needed to roll a Warrior instead. Seven out of ten of the other attempts to get into a group weren’t interested as they wanted experienced people only.
I also got kicked because I have one piece of MF gear and that was just because I liked the item (Vekk’s Solidified Aether Circuit).
So I mostly do dungeons with the guild, which is roughly once every couple weeks But PUGs just aren’t interested in me for dozens of reasons. Being a Ranger just is the one which is said the most to me.
I’m purely guessing. But you got kick out of a group once and you get over sensitive and stop doing dungeon.
I get there are people anti ranger. But if you meant to tell me you see them all the time I’m quite skeptical.
Not to mention I think ranger is one of the better class for atherblade retreat.
