ithink if you make champs drop zone level loot only it will be fixed
People are not farming loot. They are actually low level farming level. With very few of them farming karma.

your comparing a guardian with pow/prec gear to some trash stat armor, try comparing full dps spec guardians
That’s the best I can do under the circumstance I have at that time. I just happened to get a full set of berserker gear now. See post above. But I think the difference is larger if you include the trait, for example some trait give 15% dmg or 15% more crit chance etc.
Either way in most pug, a lower level group tend to be slower. Because they have a higher tendency to be new players or player that are new to their class.

The stats different is probably not that big. Biggest different is probably from trait.
I’m pretty sure there are enough low level that they can form their own group. Problem is everyone want to group with optimzed group for easier run.
Aka, most of the low level people don’t even want to group with themself. And most people with high level just join 80 only group and switch to alt in the end.
The truth is if I make a post which says non80 new player only, I’m sure many people will try to avoid it even for those people who are non 80 or new. That is how people are.

I always see people melee dieing. I don’t know why.
Whenever people just precharge the trap and range and max dps is usually went better.

Why should you get reward for doing unchallenge content? You beat it already right?
Well not everyone likes to play a game for the challenge. some ppl just like to have fun with their buddies, some ppl like the lore, some ppl like the cosmetics. gw2 already caters to most of what ppl r interested in a game for except the difficult content which should be rewarding like everything else.
You mean you want to turn deadeye farm into liadri farm? Nothing is difficult once you beat it 100 times.
What I’m saying is content is only hard the first few time you do it.
Even if they added a bunch of hard dungeon/raid every few month. I’m not sure if it is the best thing. That just mean no pug can do it. And it just turn into another mmorpg you have to play like a second job.

Even with a guide it took me at least an hour each to level crafting to 400. No way half hour. If you hav to buy things add another hour. By the time i finished leveling each to max i wanted to not turn on the game for a week. I agree with the OP …hate crafting. So i know i will never have ascended weapons and it burns me that this stuff is account bound. It’s like rubbing salt in a wound.
I can totally understand some people just don’t like crafting and they felt forced to do something they don’t like to do.
It’s definately possible to level crafting quite fast. Just google and see how fast people level to 80. But I suppose if it’s your first time leveling a craft, there’s some learning phase.
What I’m suprised is people complain about crafting and not the “getting material which take forever” part.
But I suppose people can just play and get the material. So they dont’ felt forced.
It takes 30 minutes to level a craft to 500.
Getting the material to level to 500 however take forever.
Crafting isn’t even the focus. The focus is getting money and doing dungeon/jp/world event/wvw.

Basically you salvage soldier weapon for a chance of the inscription to drop. Or you can just buy it from the trading post.

If I understand correctly. It is not time gated. It is just very expensive. Unless vision crystal have a timer you can just buy all the material from the auction house.
If you play 15 hours a day, you won’t have a problem getting all the dragonite/empyreal crystal and 100 gold to craft your ascended weapon in 2 days.
The problem is you can save 50 gold per ascended gear if you do it slowly in 9 days.
And if you powerlevel your crafting it’ll take 200 gold just getting from level400-500. But if you don’t powerlevel and do it slowly it’s much cheaper since you can just craft ascended material and even make money everyday.
It is much cheaper to do it slowly. And probably wait for the material price to drop and settle down.

The time gate is not in the crafting it is in the Vision Crystal that is account bound.
Can you elaborate that? Is there a timer on Vision crystal? Meaning you can only craft 1 per amount of time?
I already have 363 dragonite ore, and 224 empyereal crystal.
I dont’ think the probelm is with the time gate, the problem is it is too expensive. You can just buy all the material and powerlevel your crafting. But it is much cheaper if you do it slowly.

It take 20 minutes to level crafting to 400.
Really, it’s not a big deal.
There’s hardly any crafting involve.
The painful(or fun) part is getting the money and material to level crafting and assembly your ascended gear.

Almost all the time will be spend gathering material from dungeon, wvw, champ farming, jp, harvesting.
^ If you hate crafting, dont’ worry, there is hardly any crafting involve.
The real work is gathering material, which can be found in dungeon, wvw, champ, jp etc.
you don’t actually craft your ascended weapon.
Since 99.9% of the time is spent gathering material.
you can’t even get the mini helmed moa racer and the price still keep going down.
I think people just give up on collecting special mini. Since collecting all of them seemed impossible.
The set 1 and set2 mini seemed in popular demand though. Since it is actually possible to collect all of them.

Tybalt didn’t actually die.
Starting level81, you’ll be sent to trace down Scarlet and Nightmare court’s connection to the invasion. Along the way a mysterious figure will help and leave trace.
You’ll be sent all over the map to trace down Scarlet, from the Magus fall to the west(where the nightmare tree recide), crystal desert to the south and far shilverpeak to the north.
Finally you’ll discover the nightmare tree’s plan to awaken the elder dragons and you’ll have to stop it. At level88 you’ll have to confront the nightmare tree(and be defeated by the nightmare tree), but at this time Tybalt will reappear and save you out of danger.
The level89-90 personal story talks about the awakening of the elder dragon. There will be 2 new elder dragon being awakened, One south from the sea, and another from the human area. Along with Jormag and Kralkatorrik having an unite attack on Tyria.
Eh, Logan just needs to loosen up a bit (which is why I like Anise constantly mocking him).

I would have felt more for losing Tybalt if he hadn’t finished an arc with me pretty much pretending to be this experienced field agent on his own first mission.

when people want to enter queen’s gauntlet there is a queue. And people have to wait in a queue to get in arena fight.
There are overflow which is basically empty so people don’t need to wait in queue. When I get in this instance, everyone is so mad at me since everyone want a solo arena for themself. Eventhough most of the time arena are empty, there are times there are more than 6 people in the overflow, and people get so mad.
So there was this overflow, where it’s basically empty.
I somehow get in through connection(well acutally accident, since some people think the instance disappear if no one is inside). And people have been so hostile toward me.
And I’m talking about people from my own guild, who want me out of the overflow.
And they would purposely just go in queue and afk 2 minutes to get me out of the instance.
Please, this sort of things don’t help the community. Having players fight over resource just make everyone hostile toward each other.
Ascended gear won’t “likely” use quartz. Because when it is released, the people don’t prepare for it will be outraged.
So most likely Anet won’t let that happen. It is possible ascended gear will use quartz, but that is most likely when the zepphaline comes back around the second time.
And we don’t even know if we can craft ascended celestial gear. Or at least when ascended armor is released. It’ll probably be added later.
you might as well just dodge in the beginning for fail safe. He have a really high chance to cast his killshot anyway.
from what i noticed is that the bags from tier 2 gives more silver then the bags from tier 3(but have not done alot of testing tho only did a few tryes because i where bored)
Subject 7 (tier 3) was heavily nerfed, so he gives less than tier 2. The other tier 3 fights give more.
many people are farming the charr fighter. So I suppose it should be somewhat decent. And tier 2 don’t give more silver than tier 3. WIth the exception of subject 7, because it was nerfed.
The only thing gold can buy are skins, convenient item which save a few minute, or make you feel good you are a millionaire eventhough you never spend any money.
I spend hours everyday farming cof before the patch. People always ask me what I’m farming for. I always tell them nothing. And they asked me if I’m enjoying farming cof. Which I dont’ understand. They are farming as much as me, if they don’t enjoy it, why are they doing it.
Obviously I understand what they are saying. They spend hundred of hours farming a legendary eventhough they don’t enjoy farming. And I just farm because I like to see my gold and asset go up, eventhough I dont’ need any gold.
You can still farm tier2. You dont’ have to farm tier3.
This video’s are old so not easy to pull it off after the patch. But you don’t need to 4 gambit it, still quite profitable if you 3 gambit it. Or just do tier2.
If all that fails, and you can’t farm ember. Farm frostgauge sound. You have no excuse for that.
And basically you are upset because other people spend hundred of hours farming for a piece of skin, convenient item to save a few minutes, or hoarding gold for the sack of hoarding gold and never spend them.

there is no way that ascended gear will use quartz crystal.
anet wont’ do things like that just to kitten people.
Even if they going to use it, by the time it come out, the zaphire is already back for second round. So there won’t be a problem with quartz supply.
And you don’t need Colin’s post. Unless you think their marketing is lieing. They already said ascended armor is coming out in the looking ahead 2013.
Truth is thread like this do have impact on the buy order. I was actually buying quartz. But gradually have harder and harder time buying when more people see the post within the 2 day spam.
But overall, there is potential. If it don’t have potential, no one will buy it even with thread like this.

I find it funny… If you’re a zerker staff guardian why not buy a sword and focus and farm Deadeye for 25g+ an hour before the event is over.
Its just as easy/boring and makes loads more money.

I’m not defending time gate. I’m saying I rather have time gate than “insane grind” to get a single piece of gear.
Just buy the ascended gear from the trading post. The developer did say ascended gear will come as rare drop. So you dont’ like the time gate, there’s your other option.
you can actually move around the camera. Those red circle on the floor are so hard to distinguish even if you see it.
The whole berserker vs toughness gear is a weird topic.
People think berserker gear is dumb, but on the other hand you are suppose to avoid damage. So why are you standing still not avoiding hit or dodging.
Isn’t using movement or dodge or resource mechanic to avoid damage a better assesment of skill?

if it would be per char, I’d be fine, but accountbound? The more chars you want to equip, the longer you need to wait.
per char wouldn’t be that bad, considering that you need to max at least one crafting discipline (and why max several chars if you can just buy the mats cheaper? that means it would mostly be used by people who already have some maxed alts)
Fill free to buy those super expensive ascended gear from the trading post. Developer says you can also get ascended gear as a drop right?
Quite honestly, ascended gear might be super expensive to craft. SO unless you are super rich, you probably won’t have enough money to make them for that many alt anyway.

you can wear berserker on any class. So it’s not the class.
I’m pretty sure any class can do any boss easily “except liadri”.
I have 8 level80. I’m sure I can do every boss easily on any class except the last boss.

I sometime check AH every 30 second to make sure no one outbid me. But if it is instance like 1 second. It’s something weird.
