I don’t post here at all, but this comment really pushed my buttons. You and others have done nothing more than laugh and lol at Tempest’s thoughts, yet I haven’t seen a single point that was as genuinely argued as some of his own.

As we know, rangers and necromancers are getting staves and greatswords respectively. This gives them both 5 new weapon skills. meanwhile, mesmers are getting a shield in their off hand, this gives them 2 new skills, and the recently datamined ele sword skills only showed main hand sword, which leaves 3 skills. This hardly seems fair for classes that are getting single handed weapons tbh.
ele gets 1 mainhand but gets 12 new skills. cuz attunements.

For example, ‘challenging group content’ could mean anything from Fractals and open world events to dungeons and raids
you over think too much, when anet say something, they mean it, when they say challenging group content, it will just be open world event like Wyvern
Thief is easy in a way that it’s mechanical skill is less important unlike DD ele, engi, warrior
It relies more on rotation skill, positioning and target focusing to be effective, so if you have these, thief will be easy to pick up and play.
btw it’s also harder to rotate, to position and focus target on most other zerker classes, so thief is easier in that sense as well.
Staff is their parent class weapon for Melee DPS.

so warrior is either pistol or dagger

Warriors are by far the easiest class to pick up.
I’m wondering why everyone is saying thief is the easiest class to start out in….they have one of the highest learning curves.
I would say, thief is hard for people who have no idea what they are doing, extreme noobs. but easy to pick up as some one who have a little idea about what they are doing. because initiative system is very forgiving as a zerker and auto pilot skill is a no brainner
after being playing zerker warrior (when warrior was dead, so only option) for a long time, the first time i pick up thief i already know how to decap, burst, target, disengage. it was insanely easy to play and easy to pick up. especially during the SP time.

Pressing 111111111111111 on Lich without it being able to be countered with boon rip is silly.
Elites shouldn’t be autowins like the above 3 posters think.
Except Elites are not auto win, you should learn to deal with them without having a single insta one button push skill that hard counters them.

it’s bugged, i updated and logged in and played, but i wanted to switch account like 1 min ago and now im stuck with connection error.
Yes rom was playing condi ranger before tarcis played shoutheal in tourney, then he went back to warrior and played shoutheal instead.
they indeed have a tons of stuff to fix

And their OPness is why the thief/mesmer combo has been pushed out of the meta by the celestial meta right…?
Celestial have never pushed zerker out of the meta, if anything it’s thief who pushed mesmer out of the meta

the new map look so much more fun and has interesting levels, mechanics, new tactics.

Strength traitline is not joke.
it’s pretty good high skill ceiling offensive trait line.
except the fact that power warrior is not viable
but there are variation of meta builds that goes to strength for some nice utilities.
some hambow goes to 20606 instead of 00626
and tarcis shoutheal is 10263.
and fully defensive traited zerker build is always easier to pull off like 20606 axe/shield, w/e build
i loved the under water guild race…
it was so much fun….they should really make a map that is entirely under water with dry top mechanics and huge bosses and all that.
when i make sylvari i like to make some weird color that is not human like lol…

Thief have always needed and still need huge nerfs.
Highest mobility class must never be the hardcounter of anything.

S/D damage is meh at best anyway … should all thieves switch to condi so you would feel less whiny, lol o.O
A good hambow will completely negate S/D thief.
Do you realize that a power ranger does more damage with bow than a thief with 2 pistols and has more defensive cleave than one.
S/D is going lengths to keep you dazed and immobilized, its not for everyone, thus the D/P is the meta at the moment. Which is extremely glassy
sorry but, hambow doesnt kill s/d, hambow kill d/p at best with berserker stance off CD, any s/d that knows how to dodge properly can completely avoid any hambow damage other then fire field.
also, DP doesnt really have upper hand against SD, 52 combo can be easily interrupted using steal, and evade spam highly increase the chance of avoiding DP’s steal.

You’re totally missing my point here. When I mentioned mesmer and engi, I was simply using those as examples. Yes, they’re not the best examples but they were all I could think of in the moment. Furthermore, it is up to you to prove why the trait should be buffed, not up to me to prove why it shouldn’t. Lets give thieves 30k hp and increase their dps by 200% because I feel that they need it ( extreme exaggeration but my point has been made).
i’ve already made my argument in which you failed to counterargue with your poorly thought examples of OP situations. you are just going in to an endless loop. you are not arguing.
i can give perfect examples of why giving thief 200% damage would make them OP, but you failed to list examples of why making this trait apply to all CCs would make it OP.

removing some of the spots is not lowering skill ceiling, in fact it demands you to actually play well instead of being bads who getting carried by these spots constantly, you have no idea how many times, i just click a button and im completely out of the danger zone while on other classes i would have already dead. that’s just like a “oh kitten” button for bads.
memorizing these spots are not skills…they are not skills…anything but skills…please…stop lying to yourself…

It’s kinda pathetic that people think Vertical Range is fair game. It’s just as pathetic when people think Guardian is anywhere near hard to play just because it has “instant cast skills” which you can “time.” Couple that with a vertical range teleport, it’s just flat out cancer. Guardian’s don’t need that crap. So do Ele’s. It’s for a greater cause even though Thief and Mesmer will get hit by it.
In-fact if “Guardians” are gonna get worked up over this change then that’s just fail.
i play every class, it doesn’t matter to me if they nerf any one in particular.
but every time they remove something that makes this game more interesting, in this case the use of blink cooldowns to disengage, existing pvpers should complain.
also whatever this guard rant is about, it’ll barely effect guard.
I don’t think its fair to consider exploits ‘interesting’. Secondly, they still can be disengages. You just don’t get to magically end up on a cliff free of harm, the interesting part is out pacing and out positioning your enemy, not taking advantage of poor pathing knowing your enemy can’t.
Lastly, I don’t really find it ‘interesting’ to have a certain few classes who can just disengage whenever they feel like it. People are supposed to die. People complain that bruiser builds don’t die faster enough and that its boring, there’s honestly nothing more eye-roll-provoking than getting a guy to 10% and then him teleporting on a cliff and being completely gone. It might be fun for the guy who just gets a free walk all the time, of course, but its really not interesting. If you want to play glass, take the risk involved. Cop-out mechanics are actually boring for everyone but the user.

Like, why even bother being a berserker of any class but warrior or thief, the rest of the classes don’t have enough mobility and immunities to not die miserably compared to a thief who just needs to spam stealth and port up a ledge while his burst comes back up in less than 10 seconds unlike the scepter ele who needs to wait 30 seconds for arcane utilities, fire grab, and his lightning skills to align.
i don’t really know when exactly are you talking about, because from my experience, thief has always been part of the top teams, and thieves have never been subpar and mediocre.
Oh sure, but all it takes is reading some thread from prominent thief players a month back defending their precious class as just average while all the attention went to spirit rangers and elementalists and necros.

They RNG box every thing that was taken out before chinese gw2 release…almost..
every SAB weapon, ghastly shield, etc
well not RNG all, some would be like spend 80k gem at once during a period of time, you get ghastly shield for free etc.
or like spend 20k gem, you get a a chance to participate in a RNG wheel, which can give you this, this and this.
and they have a VIP system, which has level in it, the longer you sub to their VIP, higher level you get, so each level they give you rewards, some level even give you precursor for example. basically pay real money get precursor, it really mess the economy up.

the real problem mesmer face is really thief (which every team has one), other then that, mesmser is pretty amazing…
Why can’t you rely on stealth, stealth is a perfect offensive and defensive mechanics, completely get rid of focus, shadow rejuged team spike, stealthed backcap, mind games are all big part of winning the match imo..
In a team fight, a stripped transformation = death..
which is why no one use it, except the extremely tanky plague
Coordinating = land a CC spike to get the first CC land then use steal or shatter to remove the next stack.

If you got lich in normal ranked/unranked games, it’s much harder to coordinate. Ofc more people will use it after the buff. And they didn’t make it harder, they just made it impossible to keep the stab stripped.

Can someone explain to me why they just made all stab elites basically unccable?
They didn’t felt like “worthy elites” so it takes more a group effort than solo play to set up a good offense #teamplay. I’m not going to hide that when I see a stab transformation I see it as come kill me sign…got to be honest. Also boon hate might be getting a buff…in other places.
It was already a team play. Not every class can strip or corrupt boons. Now they can do it as long as they have those skills off cooldown. This literally makes no sense. You strip the stab but he gets a new stack after three seconds. The only class that can somewhat continually strip boons is mesmer and he’ll run off cooldowns soon, too.
The concept here is, a long CD elite skills (which are all unviable in tPvP except plague) can no longer be hard countered by an ability that has 10-20 seconds cooldown depends on class.
but instead, now, even without boon strip, people can coordinate CC spikes to CC these skills, each CC remove one stack of stab, remember?
and you can still steal or shatter to apply simply CC after as well. also stability isnt stunbreak, so you don’t automatically stunbreak when you regain stab, just prevent following CC.
tbh i think it affect less thief compare to mesmer.
thief has a tons of ways to avoid being focused other then abusing blink spots.
but it’s not the same for mesmer.
longbow ranger, press 2 to win.
not even joking, i can demonstrate to you how you can press 2 to win against any class out there except thief.
sure warrior is more of a group fighter.
i main warrior, but i can also play ham guard or thief or engi.

Please do explain to me how a non-grandmaster trait that would give 50% crit chance for ANY disable is not overpowered. I would love to see why.

first of all, engi pulling, except the action is pull and ends with pull, you don’t get any effect after the pull is done, or maybe you are just incredibly skillfull that you can land your hundred blade while enemy is mid air flying.
mesmer dazing, sure they can chain some daze, but they are all incredibly short duration daze chain together and you can still dodge and walk, so which exact skill do you wish to land other then evis, hammer and AS which can already reach 100% crit simply through sigil intelligence. not to mention lockdown mes is not tpvp viable, the meta mesmer build only has f3 for daze(pretty long CD), or maybe a staff.
see, non of your arguments make actual sense nor realistic

Obviously the answer is guardian.
WTS final, 3 ele, 2 engi, 2 thief, 1 warrior 1 guardian (and one necro)
let’s just say the warrior and the guardian have equal impact on the match.
but, warrior is full on tank support build with celestial, while guardian is zerker.
a zerker warrior would not have even survived against all the pressure, necro alone can pretty much reckt it.
= guardian is more tanky overall then warrior.

Rampage, pulses 3 stability stacks (3sec duration) every three second, also 3 seconds of swiftness every 3 seconds.
Blanaced stance : 5 stacks of stab, no farther description

first of all, how many good disable warrior actually has?
Hammer? they already have sigil of intelligence that crit 100% to land it’s most high hitting skills. and you actually have to give up either burst mastery or hammer mastery to get 4 points in precision.
what else, mace? it already works with mace, what else, off hand mace? it sucks, what else.
exactly, nothing, the only thing would benefit from this change is physics utility and rampage. and it doesnt work with bolas because bolas is condition immob..not disable statues.
and how many actual long duration CC will let warrior land it’s slow casting skill (like what kind of skill you plaining to land exaclt?)? non, except mace which already works, lets look at the meta, hammer med guard, launch, does not work, updraft of dd ele, also does not work, because it’s launch, maybe earth 4, ok, how many skill you will be able to land on that? what else? fear of necro? not going to work, because they walk away. exactly nothing can make this trait broken.
how often do you see physical and rampage used in tournament? like infinitely close to zero, and the only guy who uses rampage doesn’t even have any point in precision(precision line is also lacking overall), use some brain guys…
