You want them to add more weapons, in order to validate adding more weapons there should be an actual use for said weapon, that is not already filled. And as such you should supply suggestions as to what these uses could be, since you are the one that are demanding more weapons.

You can’t just take a spear and give it to someone and be done with it.
You have to come up with skills. Balancing those skills, animating those skills, making sure those skills don’t break stuff and so on. It is a rather massive effort. Why else do you think we have gotten so few skills since release?

And EVEN if they werent, who said that an expansion must only bring new game-play, and not also new skins, and things that just look cool too ? They do this all the time bringing in those new skin packs and whatnot. As you said, “Adding stuff just for the saeke of being added”

I dont know how much of a fan you are of this game. I can tell you that you can trust that I’m the HUGEST fan of gw2 out there. But that doesnt make me blind, there is a HOLE that is the lack of those weapons in the game. Or at least one of them.

But what niche would it will? What would it add to a Warrior that he/she/it can’t do right now? If it doesn’t add something to that there is basically no point to spend the time and resources to add a new weapon.

I am not saying it must only bring new game-play, I am just questioning if adding something that is in no way needed or will not increase the playability of the game is really needed. Especially in a situation when said addition will require massive amounts of time and resources to get done, for very little gain.

Adding new skins does not require any balancing, it does not require any new programming and so on. It basically requires an artist.

But what would they add, gameplay-wise that is not there now?
What would a land spear add that the Warrior needs that he/she/it currently can’t do?

It is still adding stuff for the sake of adding them. A spear would not fill a niche that is not already filled.

Adding stuff just for the sake of adding it is usually not such a good idea.

And then something unexpected happens and the group fails due to that (such as the wurm running away due to someone being too slow to ball up on the tag and so on).

Reading about/watching something doesn’t make you automatically know exactly what the commander is saying or what is being planned, especially when something unexpected happens.

Not to mention the whole issue with syncing the health of the bosses in order to make sure everyone goes down at once. People are usually rather bad at looking at the event information after all.

You can’t exactly expect people to work for you for free. You have to build the testing process around the idea of people wanting to play, not work. Therefore, you have small focus tests where people stress test small parts of the game, while you observe them.

I would assume that most people would see the fact that they are able to help test and provide feedback for a product they like as more than enough payment. At least people that wants to actual beta-test as compared to people that just want to play it early.

It is possible, but just following someone will not give you the information about when to do what and so on, especially considering that things could change rather quickly during the course of the battle, and people won’t have time to type explanations for that in chat.

Doing TTW without using TS will be more or less impossible. Every organized run requires it (you do not have to speak, but you need to be able to listen), simply because it takes time to organize and people don’t want to fail because someone don’t know what is going on.

The discount time will always be too short for someone.

Seems like we simply have very different views on crippled computer then.
In my eyes something is crippled when it makes it impossible to do certain tasks. Having a bit lower FPS doesn’t really do that.

Isn’t 30 FPS basically standard on console-games? And yet people don’t have any real issues with that.

If that tiny bit of difference is such a big thing I am starting to think that it is more a matter of complaining for the sake of complaining rather than having actual issues with it, seeing as it in no way or form makes the game even slightly unplayable.

If we look historically on ArenaNets (none-original) releases there have usually been about 3 months from announcement to release.

Public Beta is always the best way to test your game.

You mean those kind of modern betas where 90% of the people have no actual interest in testing, but just play it in order to play it before everyone else, and thus the actual amounts of testing becomes very limited which makes the product suffer in the long term?

I read it more along the lines of: When the real life year is over, so is the in-game year. Not that “every single day in the game correspond to the exact same day in real life”.

Even then its still a stretch as most things are really unnecessary.
5 Ticket scraps is really a massive insult considering how many weapon skins there are.

You are aware that the permanent pass itself costed 1000 gems, right?

With the Home Portal Stone costing 900 gems. Which would mean those two on their own would be worth more than the whole price of your proposed package.

5 BLC Keys also costs 450 (if you buy them in a bunch) and the 2 Revive Orbs costs 500.

Keep in mind that the game is balanced around 5v5 which would make sense that it would be 5v5.

Just like GW1 was balanced around 8v8.

When did they say that though? I hear people refer to those statements all the time, but I have yet to actually see the actual statements.

To be fair there have been race specific dialogue options during most of the Living Story, so not really something new and thus doesn’t seem to be any point “hyping” it up.

Yes, you can do different dungeons, so what is the issue?

Most open world stuff is actually limited to big rewards once per day. Just like dungeons.

Repeating dungeons is different. Seeing as a good 5-man team can run certain dungeons in 10 minutes, being able to repeat it over and over and over again and get 1+ gold each every time would very quickly destabilize the economy.

Ah, so you are basically one of those speed-runners that only ever run it for the reward? I suppose that explains why you would want to be able to get unlimited amount of rewards for little to no work.

It would be more of a problem if you could get the big rewards over and over and over again.

Also keep in mind that the LFG is quite active and it is usually rather easy to find a group there (or create your own).

It will be released WITH HoT.
So we know exactly when it will happen. At launch of HoT.

True, we do not know when HoT is released, but we now know that it will happen.

The fact that February 24th will be the last day to unlock Point of No Return for free would suggest that we are getting something then at least.

Some time ago they added a bunch of more names to the filter I believe. It is possible that someone simply reported you last time you played and you CS decided that it was against the policy and thus require that you change the name.

I would say the “ongoing issue” is simply the massive amounts of tickets they get overall. They just get even more right now.

It is also rather unusual for it to take more than 3 days to get the response (at least in my experience, have taken a day or two every time I have been in contact with support).

Keep in mind that the prices were on those level when the first ones were added as well, and yet they have decreased quite a bit now.

Keep in mind that there are very many new people right now and many people seems to have issues, which can increase response time.

I would say that it looks way more like GvG than the BvB we currently have in-game.

You have no proof whatsoever that said person (posting names is against the rules btw) is the one responsible for the “hacking”.

In order to get stuff back you have to contact support and request a roll-back. Keep in mind however that this is a one-time only process.

The game is balanced around 5v5, and as such they will not spend time on balancing 2v2 or 3v3 since that is not the focused size.

The problem is that they don’t seem able to adapt to climate very well. Secrecy would have been brilliant, if they had customer trust. But they made some pretty big missteps, and trust gradually eroded. There was a point mid to late last year where this hit an absolute boiling point, and they only marginally did anything about it (we STILL don’t know when traits are being fixed, or what’s happening with SAB).

The reveal was awesome, and the secrecy added hugely to that. But so much damage was done in what must have been 9+ months worth of angering the community that I don’t think it was worth it.

What does size have to do with if it is a new game mode or not?

Why not? Every other company seems to have no problems whatsoever not releasing anything for half a year.

There are however rather many things that can be turned on in order to give us something to do:

SAB, Dragonbash, Queens Pavilion, WvW tournaments and so on.

Not to mention the fact that they will have betas for HoT.

GvG in GW2 needs at least 10 players to make viable splits and to overcome bunkers, and personally I’d prefer a larger map with 15 or 20 (but minimum 10) so that you can play various splits and have much more tactics involved, and designed so zerging as a full 15 fails every time.

I would say that bunkers would be rather useless in a mode that will only end when a specific NPC is killed tbh, seeing as the bunkers lack the damage needed to stop people from killing said NPC.

Bunkers works well in order to hold cap points. You will not hold cap points in Stronghold.
