I suppose Rytlock technically could have emerged from the Mists years before he went into the Mists and as such the profession existed before it was created. ^^

I am assuming the HoT is basically a direct continuation to the ending of Season 2. Which also seems to be the case based on what Colin told us (something along the lines of HoT starting more or less directly after Episode 8.

It looks very much like the Mesmer will be able to specialize and become a Chronomancer and use a shield ^^

I am guessing release around the 10th anniversary of the series (April 26th).

As for Living Story it is very unlikely that we will get anymore before HoT seeing as HoT seems to start more or less immediately after Episode 8.

There are other things that could keep us busy though, such as Dragonbash, SAB, WvW Seasons and such.

To be fair the new mode seems much closer to the “real” GvG than what you are talking about.
The “real” GvG from GW1 only had 8 people per team after all.

According to the FAQ it will be available both as Boxed and as Digital.

What was promised 2 years ago? As far as I am aware they have never really said anything at all about new maps.

You are also ignoring the fact that they said there would be some major changes overall to WvW and more importance being put into defending, something that have been requested for a long time.

As for your second post it is rather unlikely that they would lock people out of WvW if they did not buy the expansion.

Which is most likely due to someone forgetting to change out the link from when they used the same panel for the PvP event during the Christmas holidays.

They just added a Special Announcement tab to the UI (over dailies) that says:

Prepare for a special announcement that will permanently alter the future of Tyria.

So it is indeed quite possible that something might happen in-game to coincide with the announcement.

Multiple new open world dungeons.
Several new (and in some cases updated) world bosses.

Those are things I can think of in just 30 seconds that you didn’t include on the list.

Playing games on preview versions is usually never a good idea, considering that gaming compatibility is probably not a very high focus that “early” in development.

You also seems to include stuff for the WoW count while ignoring stuff for the GW2 count.

Point is, they have claimed stuff before that have turned out to be incorrect.

Keep in mind that a summoning build in the magnitude of Guild Wars 1 or Diablo 2 would never work. It already strains the computer (and the servers) quite a bit with the largest zerg-events. Now imagine possibly adding 500 extra entities to that.

Do people really run dungeons for APs?

People clearly ran dungeons before the collections were implemented, so I doubt the collections have anything at all to do with it.

You are aware that they have most likely already worked a full year on a potential expansion if it is going to be released soon, right? And most (if not all) of the race requests have been here since release.

It is not like they started developing it the moment they released the trailer.

Well since it basically is a modified version of the GW1 engine it is indeed rather old.

They also started creating the game (and thus fixing the engine) 2007 or something like that, so even if it would have been a completely new engine by then it would still be about 8 years old by now.

Keep in mind that LS is basically the end-game. And as such it makes sense for it to be catered towards people that does have a good knowledge about the game and their class.

The achievements are also supposed to be rather hard (although most of them aren’t), with the story itself being quite easy.

I have seen that thread and if you read it you will see that there are posts that suggests exactly what I said. That the issues was with their provider rather than the servers themselves.

It is also a very tiny part of the forums that is writing there and even the part using the forums at all is minuscule.

And yet if the issue were on server-side everyone would be effected, which doesn’t seem to be the issues.

In many cases the issues seems to be localized to specific ISP with faulty lines and such.

There will always be people that have issues.
That is just the nature of online-games.

The real widespread issues started quite recently and was fixed rather fast. I have had a couple of days (now and then) with basically unplayable lag, but other than that it has been fully playable.

So, someone that is basically writing the lore is not a credible source for said lore, because you don’t think she is a good writer?
How does that even make any sort of sense?

But if the ability got added not everyone would just transfer between their own accounts. Which would mean that they would need rather many people just looking through information like that in order to decide who could and who couldn’t transfer.

Nope. Moving characters between accounts would most likely never happen. Simply due to the fact that it would make it very easy to sell characters, something that I doubt ArenaNet would want.

As for new modes: We already have Deathmatch, and we know that they are working on more modes.

In most cases changing your story based on reactions/thoughts/theories from the readers/watchers/community ends up making the story worst.

And if they DID change it, we would have the issues with hints being dropped and then suddenly those hints would mean a grand total of nothing at all, simply because they decided to change the part of the story that it led up to. And then we would most likely have just as many people (and probably a couple of the same people) complain about them adding in stuff that is completely irrelevant.

The fact that people have been very rather abusive to people that have stood by the theory would actually suggest that it was not as predictable as you want to claim. Why else would people tell those that suggested it that they were wrong all those times?

I find it highly unlikely that we have seen all kinds of Dragon Minions. In fact we have probably seen rather few of them all in all.

That doesn’t make it inconsistent.

So it basically comes down to people not being able to pay attention to their health and thus uses abilities at a time where they would hurt the stealth given by the Trait? Or am I missing something?

One could of course also question if we needed yet another thread if there are so many thread already discussing it.

Unless the wiki is wrong about what it does I see nothing at all in its description that would in any way or form kill you.
