Ah yes, lets ignore the fact that the vast majority of the content added require quite a bit more than that, and is repeatedly getting loads of people downed and ends up with event failure.
If it was as easy as people claim there would never be an event failure. All camps would always be held, all dollies would always survive all way to the camps and all camps would always be at highest level of defense with no walls broken.

For some reason that have never been the case on any instance of the map for me.

But would your friend rather be completely unable to even have a chance to do the content, as was the case in S1?

What about games with standard expansions? You have to buy the expansion pack as well in order to access the expansion content, even if you bought the original game.

Oh, I know about the orange swords, but I also seems to remember people avoiding to actually hitting the gates at all (even with small numbers) due to white swords (sometimes) not popping up unless someone actually attacked it directly.

To be fair it is most likely very easy to remove the white swords. Much easier than fixing bugs and such, since bugs are stuff not working as intended and as such they need to find the cause and so on.

So they shut down that server and the exact same thing will happen with the new number 1 server.

It is however fully possible for you and your group to move to a lower ranked server if you want more even matches.

To be fair it is rather unlikely that the Mursaat would turn up with Mordy still alive, seeing as they ran away during the last Rise.

To be fair earlier in WvW people made sure to avoid directly hitting gates and such in order to avoid swords (I seem to recall white swords not appearing if you only hit with rams) as that would give away their position. So clearly people did want to avoid being found-out due to the swords.

They are going to test it out. Lets see how the testing goes before we decide that it is the worst idea ever, shall we?

Of course it’s unique. The Dragons have a champion for a special task. Just like the Zhaitan’s Eye(Seeing through mind and Eye beams), Mouth(Devour Magic), Risen Captain(Control Dead Ship) all have unique abilities compare to other minions, but these were granted by Zhaitan, not their own.

So, what is Tequatl’s special ability as granted by Zhaitan then? Because it is quite clearly one of its most powerful champions.

Except that that is not really how it works. People get to know each other while playing WvW. If you have spent months or even years playing with the same group of people on the same server and then suddenly you are forced to start playing with a completely other group of people on a completely different server, people will not just “go and play and fight”.

It would indeed break apart stacking (for a while, unless they also removed the ability to transfer to other servers), but it might also end up basically destroying WvW completely.

Why would people bother fighting for and working together with a server if ArenaNet could just suddenly decide to force you into another server instead?

Balance and variety aren’t mutually exclusive. Sadly, the current WvW system gives us one at the expense of the other. The ideal system would give us different matchups each week without any huge blowouts.

The fragile debuff stays forever on the crystal thingies. So simply wait until you have “infected” all of them and destroy them.

Basically force people to servers they do not want to join. Especially bad for those that have actually spent gems to transfer to a specific server in the first place.

They are not really similar at all to humans, other than their body-forms.
The whole culture and their personalities is very different from that of humans in the game.

But what can they do?
Force active servers to become less active?
Force people to transfer to other servers?

Actually the Gods does not seem to be in the Mists at the moment but rather somewhere else.

And no, it still doesn’t even hint at an expansion. It shows Rytlock, after falling into the Mist, encountering something/one that potentially blinded him.
We don’t after all know if he is actually blind.

Kormir was also blinded. Kormir came from Elona.

Being blinded != Being a ritualist.

I am also quite certain that ritualists aren’t blind, they simply cover their eyes in order to be able to focus better (or something like that).

We have had teaser images for quite a few Living Story chapters. Don’t really see how that means an expansion is coming.

Well to be fair in that case you would probably have been under the impression that stuff you had missed would have remained undoable for you, correct?

Keep in mind that before season 2 if you missed something you wouldn’t even have a chance to do it, seeing as it went away as soon as the episode was over.
Sure it can be a bit annoying to have to pay a bit for access to it if you missed it. But at least you have the ability to do so.

You can also join someone that have in unlocked if you want to do the story for free.

1) Living Story is only for lvl 80.

2) Depends on if you want the full story or not. You can also read up on the story until now on the wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Living_World_season_1 and http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Living_World_season_2 )

3) If you have access to gem-cards in your country you can buy a couple of those. Otherwise you could also send gold to your wife and have her use the gold to gem trading in order to get gems that way.

4) The new maps and such unlocks for everyone, regardless if you have the story part or not. The story missions themselves are usually in instances, which can be done solo or in group.

As far as we see at this time (although might not actually be the case) the Living World and Living Story seems to get the most resources. We have had two complete new maps, a bunch of new mobs and mechanics and quite a bit of new items.

Personally, I’d rather they have people always pay for the new chapter, regardless if they were on at the time or not, and cool it with spending all their resources on making new skins for the BLTC and figuring out how to get people in to the BLTC. If new chapters were their primary source of income, I imagine they’d put a whole lot of resources in to their primary source of income.

Why do people still keep thinking about these kinds of things as earning/saving money?
They were never supposed to be that. They are simply there for convenience. I for one love having a easy daily gatherer in one (small) place.

People are doing it because:

1: We find it fun and interesting.
2: Holding fortresses unlocks the boss-fight.
3: We find it fun and interesting.

Why do you do anything at all in a game?

You need one of each for the Collection to get the Luminescent shoulders, but other than that they are basically just a bunch of free Crests yes.

Indeed, you only need to mine them, as it says in the achievement.

Haven’t it already been unlocked in the Collection? Because if it have you have no more use for it.

The achievements only activate after completing the whole Episode.

Because the server system is completely different?
You also left out the fact that it was only possible to do that in cities/outposts and the fact that you could only change district if there were enough people to fill one so another one was created.

Mordremoth have been planned since before the game was released (seeing as the name was available in the skill at launch).

I would assume they simply wanted to actually have us witness a Dragon (possibly) waking up in-game and not just hear about it in books/interviews.

Apparently, there are people who will start watching a tv serial in the middle, start reading a book in the middle, and start playing games in the middle. I guess you are one of them. As for Anet, now not only do they not get the unlock fees, they don’t get to skim his AH transactions (he was a major AH mogul in GW2 and WoW) at least some of which involved gold from gems purchased with cash.

But the two options here are: Pay a very small sum to play it or not play it at all. And thus I would assume that he prefers option two, since paying that small sum is too much?

As for your tv-series analogue you are a bit incorrect about that. Usually if I want to watch a series I have missed parts of I have to pay in order to get the earlier episodes or wait for years to see them when they repeat.

Zhaitan knew what its champions saw (and got all knowledge from everyone it corrupted). Since the Eyes were all directly connected to Zhaitan, it is not really that far-fetched to fill in the blanks and figure out that it was fully aware about what had happened to the mentor.

Either directly from the champion there. Or from corrupting one of the soldiers in the area (or potentially the Mentor itself in the case of Tybalt and Forgal).

The mad prisoner was just that. Mad. And even if it would appear to have had access to its mind it can be explained by simply having corrupted close relatives or friends of the prisoner and thus having gained access to that information.

All the Eyes (and other champions) are connected directly to Zhaitan. Everything one of them experience is known by Zhaitan and by extension the other champions.

Which can easily be explained simply by the fact that it knows that we have lost said person and might not have anything at all to do with mind-reading.

Kuunavang was a saltspray dragon. Don’t really see why it matters that she was not from Tyria though. You imply that there were no other dragons than Glint and Drakkar, and that the Elder Dragons created the rest.
That is quite clearly not true (unless the Elder Dragon created all the other dragons that don’t show any actual connection to the Elder Dragons.

I think you might not be as good as you think you are.

Most of the mobs takes just as little time to kill as others of the same level.
They do however use tactics and works together, which makes them last longer and/or seem harder.

I don’t think that is the sort of timing he talks about. But rather the fact that the sandstorm always happened after X minutes and always ended after X minutes.

In the new map the events are a bit more random but most of the events does have a timer (they would more or less be impossible/too easy without one after all.
