Balance play by -removing- these insanely OP buffs to stats, including guard stacks in my opinion.
One of the very last attractive thing about the lower tiers is the roaming scene. Now all of the roaming servers will be handicapped versus the zerg servers and unable to compete in small scale battles or large scale battles due to these player buffs.
After one day of playing against CD with their three orb buffs, the very competent roamers of CD became pretty obviously overpowered compared to the NSP roamers with 0 orb bonuses.
Seeing as NSP looks like the only server down here with a large zerg guild left, I suggest you transfer there to minimize the stacking issue and imbalance created by large zerg guilds transferring to the same server. The stomp or be stomped matchups of late should be incentive. It’s not fun to be on either side and since Anet has no plans to mitigate that issue it is up to large guilds such as yourself to do so by not stacking onto the same servers.
Speaking of stacking, I recall a thread recently where Dragonbrand was asking people -not- to transfer to their server because of queue times and imbalanced matchups…

While the coverage disparity in terms of PPT is a bit annoying for some (discourages some NSP players etc), I honestly love that this matchup provides a constant source of fights. Lots of good throng surfing to be had.

Funny, I’ve never seen PD in anything smaller than 5, do you guys have any solo roamers? In fact, out of all of DH the most even fight I’ve found that you guys will actually engage in is 1v3 and have even seen several commanders turn their entire zerg of 15-20 around to chase me and only me. The only 1v1 I’ve had so far this match is with Mr. Camp-Hugger Pro here. Funny how he refuses to fight a 1v1 until you tell him he’s bad. Not sure where you are gathering that I was referring to solo roaming…. I was thinking of the times we were rallied 10ish. But yes, we have several roamers, myself included when I’m on my mes, but I’ve haven’t rolled my roamer in this matchup yet due to needing to defend more. But scroll up in this thread and find torridstoic he’s usually roaming every night.

This I get a chuckle out of. Yesterday a group of about 8 DH decided to attack our northern camp. While 7 decided to stay behind and fight it out (they were obliterated) one ele, level 80 not an uplevel, ran as soon as she got hit out the east gate with just myself in pursuit. (I was on my mesmer). No concern over her teammates who were dying, just total self preservation. Now we all know that a mesmer cannot keep up to an ele running so suffice it to say she got away.
I wonder what her mates told her?
If you’re going to pat yourself on the back for defending your northern camp, do please frap it and upload it. So few of those fights are worth /flexing over due to the fact that anyone who is killed can immediately rez and return to the fight.

Once upon I time I recall Anet talking about bringing the ability to craft precursors, acknowledging that an RNG system wasn’t optimal for creating your legendary.
Well, now that we have ascended crafting seems to me like it wouldn’t be difficult to implement.
Personally, I’ve been working on my Bifrost for 8 months now, been sitting on all three gifts since April, thrown about 300 gold into the mystic forge for The Legend and then started saving up only to see the price climb from 550g to a whopping 900g now. That is a staggering amount to someone like me who spends almost all of their time in this game in WvW instead of CoF farming.
tl;dr, Anet please implement a non-RNG way to obtain precursors before we grow old and die. <3

This would be really kitten fun, tbh. Make it a monthly event- four weeks of server mashups. Forced to ally with the enemy for your own good, and then depending on results, have alliances remain and grow stronger (bountiful world buffs or something) or have them betray each other for new servers.

My dear girl, morale is not crushed. Morale is not tied to PPT, that is a zerglings myth. When you get a chance, take a look at the rest of the postings in the WvW threads (outside of matchup ones), more and more people everyday care less about PPT.
Morale might be bad on a server like AR where they are spawn camped during matches, morale on SF is fine because our aim is to have fun and find some good fights. The things that contribute to PPT (Towers, keeps, etc), are more incidental to the task.
Did I get it right
Remember DH has been there too, dearest boy Amadaeus. Same with every server south of Ebay. Kudos for the fights though.

I’m running 0/0/20/30/20 right now and not having that last 10 in arcane is too painful. I run the 20 into earth though for granting stability on switching to earth attunement for my allies which is one of the most valuable things I can offer to my group in WvW. I would like to see a buff to attunement recharge rates and our health pool to create build diversity in the elementalist. Perhaps combining some of the condition removal traits in water to allow for that without having to commit 30 into water would be helpful so we don’t get locked into one cookie-cutter support build, as all support staff eles I know are married to 30 in water as well.

I am under the impression that those in your camp cannot be satisfied. You want something unattainable or something already past. Sure you’ll say you only what x,y, and z, but if you are ever given them suddenly the terms change. A lot of people in this anti-Devon crowd are in the business of complaining.
The most fundamental thing I want is a real commander system. I don’t know about the rest of the people in “my camp” but I am sure most of them have a long standing issue or two that they would have liked to see addressed months ago.
Some possible issues that come to mind!
(in no real order)
1) Commander System
2) Party UI
3) Updated Maps?
4) The majority of exploiters going unpunished
5) Too much focus on siege
6) Skill lag
7) WxP soulbound
8) Lack of WvW specific rewards
9) Population disparity leading to lopsided matches
10) Zerging causing one dimensional fights
Pick one? I don’t know, if you look at it there is a whole lot there for people to be upset about. Again, my number one problem is the commander system. I am sure other people have their own “number one” problems.
Fix like 3 of those 10 things and I have a feeling the vast majority of angry people here would change into “Well, they are working on it at least…” If that seems to be unattainable, or somehow relegated to ~the past~ I don’t know what to say. I certainly wouldn’t be as involved if I felt that way. But for better or worse, I feel that WvW as a mode can change.
WxP is too tied to vertical progression so it isn’t a huge success with the PvP/WvW crowd. And that is all we’ve really seen from Devon’s involvement beyond lip service. “Soon” only works so many times.

The groups I’m in ask for specific classes if possible. They don’t ask “oh, bring your character that has xxxx mastery.” That’s an afterthought – normally all the way down to when siege is build and we need someone to man it. “Hey guys, does anyone have catapult mastery?” By then, it’s already too late to switch characters and you probably wouldn’t want to anyway as that might make the group dynamic unbalanced. This partially depends on the size of your group etc. but this experience is echoed by other players in this thread.
This 10000 times. For instance if we don’t have our typical frontline online I’m on my warrior who has piddly squat in wxp since I leveled her specifically to cover for that absence in our group makeup. I would be rank 240+ if ranks were account bound but my warrior is 18 and can’t hop on a ram with 5 points in seige might or sport guard stacks or contribute any of the rank progression rewards to our squad because of this character-bound mechanic. Arena net does not seem to understand the needs of the players who exclusively WvW and play this aspect of the game at a higher level. We have alts to contribute to our squad. Character bound wxp means we have to sacrifice the beneficial skills for our squad like siege might and vitality stacks and catapult mastery. This is how organized groups play WvW. And character-bound wxp contradicts being beneficial to your squad.

Dear Assassin X, I run with 1 other Mes and its not hard to get wxp when u just hit these ridiculous zergs with 2 feedbacks and 2 Null Fields, boom wxp galore, sry will start ss just for you. By your name I assume you are a thief, well since your just about the only class that runs and hides just to reset a fight, you, of all people should know how to get wxp with out the zergs.
Put a signature on. Maybe people will take you seriously. But I doubt it, because you’re claiming you got your Bronze Squire rank from… roaming? But by using null field and feedback. So, tell me, how did that zergball die and give you the wxp. Something tells me you were sitting in a keep at the time, on an arrow cart most likely, and by sitting in that keep you are gathering the wxp from the defend event. Or you were in your own zergball, with your buddies doing all the damage since mesmers can really only tag in zerg fights and provide veils and feedbacks. So that’s getting your rank by zerging. Again, put guild tag in your signature and my guildies will give you a fight away from the zergball.

Anyways thanks for the good reset all. PPT kept flipping all night and right now dat pie chart is nice and even. And now coverage will kick in but I’m pretty proud of DH tonight. Also, I take it glass cannon zergs must be the meta up in the higher tiers, as every SoS group we faced tonight hit like a truck and melted faster than an ice cream cone in hell. I’ll take it though, glass cannons make me happy inside.

All you have to do is look at the charts to see that the only reason SBI is as close in score as they are is because of “coverage”. You get the most points out of the early morning hours, before and around 8 am server time. DH on the other hand is garnering its PPT spikes during reset and NA primetime. That’s not us having “coverage”, unless you’re going to pull an IOJ and show me your Australian birth certificates.

Having the living world content involve something like upgrading their home borderlands keeps and towers would mean the PvEers taking an active role in benefiting their server, a role which usually falls to a handful of people who would be grateful for the relief in expense (speaking as one of those people).
Down in the lower tiers the home borderlands are pretty empty except when a big guild is called in to defend. Putting some of the Living World content into the home borderlands would make it feel like more of a community effort to protect the homelands.

I didn’t mind so much until they added guard stacks. 150 vitality, and some more power is not an insignificant buff to your build when roaming. If I didn’t have alts I would be rank 237 and sporting those guard stacks. Alas I don’t have enough points on any of my characters to reach them yet, and it will be awhile before I do.
