That Anet keeps doing basic slipsoffs, time and time again? That they didnt forsee that people would abuse queing up amber with dia/leg for easy queue/wins? Many worked hard for the title Primordial Legend the legit way as its one of the few titles ingame that could show potential “skill” or a form of individual progression. I dont usually bother with trolls, but just to showcase a funny example, I was waiting for tequatl with my new title and some sapphire started claiming that I was an exploiter. The title is in reality basically the same as Legendary Champion status which is being farmed in HoT join.

This was Anets one chance of actually doing something right, giving us something that showed some work other than being purchaseable, but they once again didnt test stuff cuz “#%¤”! we’ll do it live!"

I would love to see air 1 able to hit 3 target within 180 radius, and ull see the arc spreading out to its targets from the center beam (like wow shaman chain ligthning)

Expect to see this addition added in the third next major content depth patch comming in Q4 2016, and a blog post about it two weeks before release!

Yeah you’ve heared it before, I soloed my way up to legendary. Im not normally the loud one, but %"#@! that was horrible and at times a fun experience.

For those who are still going at it solo, dont give up, you will get there if you just set yourself goals. Heres a few I havent seen highlighted before:

- Duo queue isnt nec better if you have a partner that isnt up to par, you just have to accept it.
- Play a carry build that can fill a few roles during match. For me that was druid as Ive always played ranger quite ok, and cele druids actually pack’s a punch 1v1.
- Playing 4 5 6+ hours daily isnt nec the way due to 50/50 win loss, for me it ended up playing some games after work and then later in the evening. I dont know why, but I had a better win rate, maybe the system resets itself a bit somehow. Always stop at 2 or 3 losses, dont keep going, come back after 1 2 hrs. Once you get win streaks you keep playing, dont stop, however the times when I stopped they often continued the next time day after.
- If stuff goes hogwash during game, dont spend valuable seconds flaming in chat, it leads to nothing. Use shift left click instead on mini map. Being positive always is a morale boost and prevents other teammates spending seconds typing back. Make sure to know what roles the other fill, and adapt your own based on what enemy has – very important!

No I didnt record any cuz I really didnt enjoy this meta, stuff is usually so tanky and combat feels slow, often all about pressing the right buttons in order. Best of luck to you!

Ive been being up with friends who are legit emeralds and sapphires and we are facing full diamond and legendary division players. We are losing 500-100 or 200 like every match. As anet would say

Agreed, I ONLY play my Ranger Ochit in PVP and am somewhat proficient on it. I am only missing the Achievement for winning 5 matches on second class and I REFUSE to drag down my Team with my sub par play on another class…result is practicing in Hot Join and unranked on a class I have no desire to play in order to not drag down my team.

Last 3 days painful and ZERO progress as I practice on a Guard I have never played…

Worst is people talking trash when practicing in Hot Join when your on a class other than your main and you know full well you would decimate that individual if you were playing on your Main…

That achievement is problematic

3days without any wins on a guard, and one of the easiest classes to pick up? This sounds like hogwash or u found the division ur meant to be in

Considering there was much more “negative” feedback regarding the Herald ground graphic effect without a single dev response on the subject, says a lot regarding what you can expect. I wish you the best in your quest though!

I can’t play this game anymore (pvp). It’s just friggin nuts. Everytime they “fix” matchmaking, things get worse. Matches have been at their worst for both sides, when winning and losing. When I win, it’s clear that some guys on the other team shouldn’t be playing in the match-up, it’s out of their league. When I’m on the losing side, there’s at least 2, sometimes 3 guys that are either numbnuts or they also just don’t belong in the match-up. What the hell is going on?

After doing more games its still the same in terms of 50 50 win loss ratio, tho now theres more often two dias n three lower ones n the skill differences within one team can be quite large, making soloq a pain, as it already was.

well guys we are at a point that it becomes ridicoulous: i’ve not been accepted in raids cuz i had full zerker warrior ascended but with hoelbrack runes instead of strenght.
Rlly are these pvers so dumby? Does they really think that 5% more damage (aka 0,5% dps in a team of 10 people) will do any difference? You know that a miss dodge can alone delete the advantage of strenght on hoelbrack? Come on this pvers are even more meta tunnel vision than pvp players!!
Actualy it requires more time to find a raid team than killing those 3 boss in a row.

think is tho, a warrior is so easy to find, and any pug dont want warrs that arnt optimized. This shouldnt be hard to understand. People expect the best when pugging, and not having right runes is a big no no. I get it that hoelbrak are good for WvW, and sadly anet doesnt have a system making us have two or more runes to swap easily.

because anet most likely done have the resources to pump out content at a AAA mmo phase. its easier to finetune existing content, which they do quite often. This is why raids will take a year at least till all wings are out in total, why pvp still is all about conquest and hotm stays the same, this is why we cant have nice things. People are staying tho cuz its a pretty game with systems encouraging u to play timegates.

Dh is easy cuz u fight them as cele/bunkery/sustainy. Yes Dh r predictable, but if tanky meta shifts Dhs will have it easier, and they already shut down good thieves

based on past experiences with anet my guess is that whoever made the wording just looked at the scoreboard n counted 6 divisions, so they made it like that. Hopefully it isnt a bug then and they need to fine tune the achi text once more.

Either they step up, split or go unranked the solution is easy. Lemme ask you this, if you play with a group of friends mainly, how is it possible 4 are Amber and the other is legendary? Clearly you did not play that much with them. As such I would suggest to the legendary to do what he did most of the season, group up with different people or soloq.

Besides the personal interest of the players who are queueing. The matchamking itself makes no sense if you match a full legendary team with a mixed group of players.

AND at times its not up to you.

2 games ago i had a duoq team in my team while soloqing myself. One of the duoq was legend, other was sapphire. Sapphire guy probs died 20 times during a single game. While its bad for them its also bad for the guys who didnt make the decision to queueu up with a beginner….the rest of us.

A good MMR system should match u with and vs ppl of similar skilllevel and experience. This isnt the case with this new fix.

but the lesser evil is that ppl in generall will queue less frequent with “lowbies” as the gain is gone. Now only those who for example are close friends may queue. This should result in less cases where u lose cuz of big gaphs between players.

i just went from losing n winning 50/50 all day till getting winstreaks up to 10, so yeah def a much better improvement. Still to early to tell tho. Only downside is when facing premades, but we know the drill.

Was this title’s achi text just redone, so we have to get to tier 2 in legendary? There was a dev that said we only had to get to legendary, and now that thread is deleted?

I really hope it only needs legendary once reached, otherwise many r wasting their time here :P

When the new raid wing comes out, according to the new blog post, itll be around 5 months from releasing the first wing. 5 months. And the next after 2 more major releases, 5 months after that again? This should surely give every casual out there plenty of time to finish its collections. At the same time it’s with mixed feelings, that it will take most likely 12+ months till we have the possibilty to craft our armor, which is a hefty timegate, and are we meant to sit in the dark not knowing how many legendary insigths needed? Id love to stop raiding now since ive pugged for its collections, but what if we need 250+ and come revelation day ur stuck doing a 100 more kills.

Whats your take on all of this?

match making is not working as intended. just had one game where my team once again were far behind skill wise, we were losing, n then they had 2 disc that didnt come bk in 3 4 mins. Then my team decides to go lord when pts r near 500, they all wipe but i managed to recap pts onmy own, winning by 2 lol and gaining 3 pips in the process

But yeah, dont queue anymore tonight, its messed up atm

Does A-net budget utility allocation? There are a bunch of new utilities, even without traits to enhance them, that are clearly over budget. Here’s an example:

Riposting Shadows:
-Cures: Immobilize, Cripple, Chill
-Returns 50 endurance
-Evades
-Stun Break

All of the above for 30 energy. Who comes up with this stuff and thinks, at any level, it is some how balanced?

There’s a laundry list of utilities that need to be chopped up, not just shaved, but chopped up. It’s actually pathetic when you look at some of the older utilities and compare them to the newer ones.

..and yes, it is a goal to find 9 people to play with regularly. I think that’s harder than anything else I’ve done in the game.

It seemed easier to organize a Tequatl size party than 10 specialists.

Being able to make 17 legendaries means ur packed with gold or know the ways of how to get around. Save up gold n buy runs, buy a package run from serious sellers at discount n ull have ur leg collection!

There isnt enough q’ing at this hour so the system has to compensate. This is also why there is no teamq. Instead anet should add a system making u lose none to less pips as solo vs premade, should solo lose. Anet should take care of soloq players as they enhance the experience premades get, such as faster q’s and easy pips.

Ever since i hit diamond solo i was a bit bummed n thought i wouldnt attempt legendary. But with some occasional games im 25 pips away from leg with 15 days left till seaon stops. So if i at least progress 2 or 3 pips daily i can make it with ok margin (with room for error), considering i can play a few hours during after work hrs to evening. Those of you who did it before or r doing it now, got any tips on how to work around the system as solo?

Feels like more of the games i get now can b more random due to the benchwarmers catching up. I might try to avoid late night play as i more often face premades, games during early hrs in weekends r very odd n mixed skillwise. I usually swap between 3 classes with builds that can carry, this recently more druid as its a good hybrid bruiser or onpoint holder, making me able to easier adapt to fellow teammates classes and skill.

Guess what, guardian have sword, hammer, scepter that have worse problems than your shortbow…

Usually im the last person to “complain” but there is a reason why scrappers on marauder amu is top tier and will remain so, while theres no top tier thief builds at all (or with emphasis on backstab).
The scrapper can do so much with its sustain and getaways that it isnt forced to bunker up through amulet. In the end, the elite specs on classes are just overly superior compared to core builds, which is a 180 turn from what Anet said they were going for. Due to this the more balanced state around june 2015 have now been stirred up on all classes. They would have to do some major elite spec overhaul to make core builds be more in line, which I honestly dont see happening but I really hope they prove me wrong.

The concern I have regards losing pips to pre-made teams that you have chance no chance of beating if you solo queue. 80% of these matches end up being predetermined as they have a sound strategy, understanding of proper rotations, etc. Leading many on the team to afk as they know a pip loss is incoming.

As a person who has done majority of the matches solo queue , I can be the first to tell you I have no problem facing these teams with 4 other individuals as long as the system you have in place has lower expectations for a solo queue group.

I lost two pips this season to a pro league team and our team was entirely composed to solo queue players. ;-;

The ranger has quite a few ways to get out, though often depending on the build u play, while some may be a little lackluster. Lightning reflexes and quickening zephyr (troll unguent for sustain and preventing o shiet moments) if ur into wilderness survival, guard or rampage elite if ur shouts, glyphs like tides for pushback, druid has nice evade leap on staff, CA form can break stuns/condis/stun/heal/debuff, sword has two leaps, GS has leap, skirmishing gm traits can drastically lower cd on leap, taunt from pets.

It is also an own perk being able to predict incomming dmg and avoid it, not positioning urself in harms way.

Mechanics aside, the druid is a powerful healer, like the tempest, in its own ways. The healing makes us a top-of-the-foodchain hybrid bruiser in leagues, and the top healer spot in spirit vale in competent groups. Every other 9 players brings something of their own to keep them topped like their own heal and the know how/dont stand in red. Our buffs to raid damage surpasses tempests personal dps. With raw healing and stats in mind, i dont see us needing or getting any tweaks to that.

Having seen the recent teaser in guild chat, do you think this will solve our core issues? I know a few spots in hotm it would be great to reach from air.

Throughout GW2’s lifespan we’ve had various content given to us at different phases/rates. At some point Anet kept going for two week updates, more specifically towards living world/pve players. Fastforward before the expansion we had like no content for nearly a year in anticipation of its release. We all play the game for different reasons, and one could argue certain type of content (be it pve, pvp, wvw, etc) have been nurtured over the other.

But what is your take on the rate we’ve gotten content if you compare it, in general, with other AAA mmorpgs, without mentioning names. And do you feel we have been fed well during these 3 and a half years?

The thing that is crazy frustrating is that they dodge our question for so long, even in the new ‘transparent’ pvp plans ahead thread. Secondly, why the kitten dont they implement a system that makes it more forgiving being a solo queue against a premade. Why? Because leagues need soloq players to play in the current format otherwise queues would be longer. We should have a system giving 50% less pip loss on loss and maybe some bonus for beating a premade as solo.

Any eles who has nevermore? I wonder if it removes the default sound ele has on attunement swapping, like the lightning sound. Does the unsheath animation also play when attunement swapping, like the ravens flock around u? Any other preferences u like with it? Im also a bit afraid it wont match my inc pvp backitem, as nevermore feels like a weapon u want to add skins to match (for those who play skin wars)

Im on the fence if i should make one or not, surely in the distant future theyll add a slider for better AA fireball, but nevermore could do.

You complain about DS giving u issues during set circumstances. What of thief who is hardcountered by DH, no way to work around there, but they adapt by avoiding the DH in 1v1.

I had same issue but got resolved after updating to the latest nvidia drivers on my gfx.

My main gripe with HoT open world pve is how everything is on rails, we must follow the timestamps or dont enjoy the content. It forced me to literarly plan parts of my daily schedule based on these sites that shows timers for meta events so I could partake and progress in game. Even the gift of craftsmanship requires you to be there at specific times during the day, meanwhile getting to the right map is mainly done through taxis/lfg, which is a bad system.

hmm when i get home i need to calculate how long it could take me to get from dia to leg With 55 60% win rate as solo q. maybe ill try it just for the title

does anyone know if nevermore removes the default sound effects on elementalist attunement swapping, like the Lightning sound? Id love to see some ingame combat footage of ele nevermore play, but dont look there is any on youtube

I wanna duel in open world too, a guild is to closed vs the randoms u can meet in open world. And those who claim that mmos with dueling has the worst communities r deluded. Nothing is ever black and white, and toxity u also find among pve elitists.
