Actually aurashare is the easier bunker to shut down with cc and condi pressure. Even a good viper rev or condi reaper can take it out alone. Unlike Chronobunker, u can cc the tempest and force him out of rotations. I kno the bunker meta is a meh, but the complaints reminds me of DH qq.

As above, go marauder on a tempest fresh air s/d version. One of ur main high bursts now comes from air overload. Personally i go 5 shouts to get the full traits benefit, like getting heals, 40% prot on self and weakness on enemies. This works in league play and duels (im closing on diamond), however if u want to be more beneficial in leagues u go cele aurashare which will win u games for your team.

This just proves our speculation, pvp as with much else in this game is downprioritized. Heck idk maybe they even just dont have the resources and poor management.The fact that base stuff like this make it live n stay live for so long speaks truth.

I would Justin love to know anets standing on this, are they aware or aware and not able to do anything about it. But then again its been over three years.

Now..you can listen to my advice get out there, study the meta builds that every Tom is running and use builds that counter them…or you can listen to all the inc yapping.

Ill second this as metas shifts as the wind breezes, but the most powerful build is knowing all traits weapon skills playstyles on all classes so that u can stay ahead and adapt. In the end u wanna play a few classes so u can swap around, as ur one class wont be that almighty 1v1 all the time, at least not with the same build. Again, metas change, but knowledge never dies.

Aurashare celes usually lack stability so with enough cc with a teammate ull break through. Also breaking diamond into condis also makes him drop over prolonged pressure. Make him burn his auras, but once condi bombed with some cc, auras wont save him (if hes alone). 1v1 is a waste of time imo, unless ur a good condi something.

Yes they should totally add a huttball version in gw2 lol, that was such a huge success in swtor. Have some story behind it, like dragon ball

Its anets way of promoting pvp, they want as many ppl as possible to be aware of leagues existence and to play it. Hence why we have the yellow text indicators at our top right corner like a filthy f2p game, and u also get lots of transmutation charges by gaining tiers which is huge do many players.

Same way they nerfed ele auto staff atks like fireball so that ppl want to make the new legendary staff that has much more visual clutter. Im just waiting for the new scepter legendary as then theyll finally buff ele scepter :-)

Actually you just explained it all in your opening sentence. Time. Time is all one needs on the ladderboards, paired with slightly above average game knowledge of classes and PvP systems. Congrats though! Sadly Im stuck with a gf and a little child so no legendary for me just yet, diamond soon though.

the reason why gw2 is popular is cuz of the great fluid combat. if any other mmo can catch a flow like that in their unique way then go for it i say. but till then, gw2 is where its at.

its possible for the druid to play both tank and healer in raids during the same encounter, like gorseval, which is usually what ppl do

If u take the classic df cele aurshare from metabattle u can make it work into a marauder amu version, whereas u could go with scepter instead. Swap out water for fresh air, make overall adjustments more egocentric while u still have sustain durations from the 5 buffed shouts.

Edit: only downside with it is that the classic cele df aurashare provides more onpoint to the team, often resulting in a node win vs competent teams, making that build superior in terms of team synergy.

Having been rolling with the fotm df cele aurashare playstyle the last month, I was hoping someone could post any newer staff support plays in leagues that showcases the weapons “full” potential. My take is that being a great staff wielder requires more than being great at df.

this should motive ppl into getting bifrost or nevermore

both are great, dd for the closeup cleave dmg vs packs, while staff also is nice for large scale events tagging. scepter is a middle ground but its more for single target, which may not be ideal for lvling. In the end any weapon can work for anything, but if u go for efficiency then u already hit it

They can add all the crap they want as long as it doesnt affect gameplay power wise. For instance, even tho they add good looking gliders i wont buy em cuz the next week they might add another awesome glider. In stead ill in time make awesome rare ones through ingame progression like pvp and raids

Its cuz anet sees the 3 raid wings as thee one and only raid as legendary armor is the be all end all gear, where unlike other mmos u have new tiers comming with new raids. Expect it to take at least 3 months per raid wing release at best, and roughly 9 to 12 months in total till we get a shot at legendary armor crafting. This is hard gated content so that anet dont have to deal with ‘too few updates too little to do’ crowd. Its cheap, but at least we got some snack.

Except it’s not even close to being overpowered. It serves 0 purpose against power based players, and only slightly counters condi based players. If you can’t do 1800 direct damage or can’t get help from a teammate to break through it because your too bad to do it yourself you don’t deserve to beat the ele.

40% damage reduction, 3 auras, a healing skill, 10% damage reduction from frost aura, elite to give me another aura.

Effective health is a lot more than 1.8k, on top of that I have over 9k of healing in a matter of seconds. You cant see things in a vacuum, truth is; even with 2 people, it can be tough to break through my health.

Except u dont have all that all the time, u will wear out of cds. Two good can take u down. Yes u could probl hold ur own till help arrives, but thats fine as u played ur role.

You also dont get score by doing great tactical teamdecisions, either by action or map chat, which turns the tide.

With current bunkers being a thing, something that came from elite specs, do you think the removal of celestial amulet would solve most of its popularity? Would that make more room for existing stronk DD like viper revs/marauder scrappers? At least onpoint fights could be faster and more entertaining.

If u dont know why or what the engi is doing that u struggle with, then i suggest making an engi and check everything out in hotm, so that u know what this and that do, and how to deal with it. On metabattle u can also see some popular engi builds, like the marauder scrapper, where u also can read playstyle tips and compare it to ele mechanics.

They’re doing so because of player demand.

So the players demanded harder content that they can zerk in? The joy, especially considering zerker is so braindead easy to do to begin with. Though I do give credit for figuring out how to hold aggro on the bosses, I thought that would be pretty hard to figure out without an actual aggro meter.

I do apologize btw for sounding irritated by the forced setup for raids, I do raiding in FFXIV and expected Anet to try something out of the box for it, not stick with the same old same old you expect from standard trinity MMO raids.

But we have diversity tho.. there r different setups to overcome a boss. And the sabetha boss doesnt even need a tank. Like some chose to go double DH to keep light fields on sabetha, while others just relay on other like pure druid. I heal in raids on mine, but i dont consider myself a healer, more like a support. If someone dies, then often it is due to them making a mistake, which is part of the mechanic that they should master. Druids also provide damage to the raid, thats a support aspect. I like to think that we all provide something to overcome the boss, while the “roles” may be there.

In the end, since we have so many individual ways to avoid damage, the better the raid group is the less dependant u are on hard heals. Take the last sentence with a grain of salt, but gw2 raiding certainly isnt black and white when comparing it to other traditional raiding mmos.

I really want to play Marauder (or even Zerker!) Tempest, but I find things in PvP just hit way too hard to make it viable. Have you found a way to make it viable in Conquest?

In Sapphire/Ruby im having ok results, im not playing as much i would like to get a better overview due to focus on raids and IRL. Of course the current meta holds it a bit back, but the build can hold its own in 1v1 with good burst to cover on point. U could play it as a node 1v1/careful in teamfights (u kinda wanna avoid heavy team fights tho, at least prolonged ones).

The reason it works for me is cuz we have many possible benefits via traits when going full shouts on zerk/marauder amu with soldier runes (other runes could work as well, i just prefer em for the condi removal and extra vit, tho u may want to consider how much hp u get as too much isnt really needed as we are dmg focused). If u manage shout/aura rotation thatll be ur sustain, while often u can swap between fire and air while keeping air overload up as often if possible. If scepter got some love it would be more viable, but at least tooth can cover most of the node. The downside is mobility, not being able to quickly assist sidenode, most of it relies on u having good map awareness and see inc enemy so that u can start walking and connect at the same time.

Still warrs would have to relay on one ability to make a difference. It would be better if all weapon skills and traits were looked at and tweaked, and with enough change to keep up with sustain/kiting

Even though the achievement does not explicitly say so, it most definitely has to be done in one raid lock-out period. Weekly reset resets everything, including progress for your current raid instance.

Back in my WoW days, many raid achievements worked exactly like this. Each week when you enter an instance, you are assigned an raidID, and even though you do not have to complete an achievement in one session, you do have to complete it in that raidID. As the ID resets weekly, so does your progress.

There are multiple sources that say that there is a bug with this achi, and many have experienced what I have. Many got it by doing them seperately, not in the same week.

I dont see why thief cant get rifle when i can hammer smash CoR on rev, which hurts in pvewvwland with potential twoshots. It is also a ground attack so it cant be reflected, has 1200 range on 5 targets, on 2 sec cd. Often such builds relay on the fury trait, giving the rev over 90% crit rate. I am fine with how that ability works, also considering different class mechanics.

I dont see why any implementation of rifle would be wrong, it doesnt have to be a sniper-one hit KO.

On the plusside, as u pick up pugs u can just add them, and eventually u have ppl to ask

Last week I killed Sabetha with all 10 party members being alive. This gave me a green checklist indicator in the undefeated achi section for the eternal title, under Sabetha the Sabo.
Yesterday I cleared all 3 bosses after week reset, and both VG and Gorse was killed with all 10 party members being alive. This resulted in these bosses being checklisted, however, the indicator on Sabetha from last week was gone – I am still missing Sabetha kill even though I did it last week and should’ve had The Eternal title now. Normally I wouldnt make much of a fuss about it and try again later, but since I’m going away on vacation for a while I thought I’d try my luck here. Is any dev able to check this up and possibly fix it? Should I send in a support ticket, any other player around here had similiar experience and what was the result of the ticket? It was all done on this account.

so there is indeed a bug. I was 100% sure I had her done on the checklist, i saw the green indicator last week. And then yesterday I lost it, while VG and Gorse has it. I wonder if i should send a support ticket and hope for a fix? Since im going on vac soon and wont be playing for a while :/

+1 gmt and im on piken square. My comment was more of a food for thought. Raids are fine and dandy, theres always a supply of people wanting to join a raid. The quality of exisiting raid groups and raiders wanting to join vary, many good puggers are hesistant in joining as well since they want good groups to join. Call it luck or careful planning which affects outcome. Of course we all have different standards, my point of view is to be able to clear all 3 bosses in one evening run, as raid mechanics have been shared to the commonwealth by now. But this wasnt the OP question, I just wanted to elaborate.

It matters that there’s an ad for the raid, an ad for the ESL and other pvp stuff – and at one point it was also showing my pvp rank up there. I have no interest in these things, yet I have no option to hide them.

Do you use any ad blockers when you browse the net? Or doesn’t it matter?

I don’t, and it doesn’t. Sounds like a whole lot of salty QQ. But maybe it’s only me who doesn’t actually notice them while I’m playing.

Hardy Conduit’s Protection Effectiveness Increase is only supposed to work on Protection which is applied to the Tempest themselves (but any source of Protection is affected). However, I haven’t done the testing myself to see if that’s true or not.

That’s what I thought! Groupwide 40% increased Protection effectiveness is kinda OP, and I do not think that is how it currently works. It should (and actually does) affect only the Tempest IMO. I’ll try to test it out (kinda difficult to do without two other people, might try Svanir in the PvP lobby.) If I can get to it, I’ll post results. I’d appreciate any testing someone else can do in the meantime though.

Regardless if its OP or not, its not really needed. Sure prot in general is nice to have, when people are doing mistakes and take large chunks of damage. But put aside this, and as time goes on, more and more will be better at knowing mechanics and avoiding damage. In that case, which is the ideal progression for any team, druid will come superior in Spirit Vale wing due to providing raid damage that outshines tempest’s personal dps.

I could’ve sweared that I had sabetha checked for the Eternal achi last week, only missing VG and gorse. Yesterday the group killed VG and Gorse without any dying, but after getting them on the checklist I see to my surprise that I’m missing Sabetha! What trickery! Is there any unknown mechanic I dont know of, making me lose the third boss, is it weekly reset?
