From what I’ve read there:
Teleports that require a target will no longer activate when the target is out of range.
This means inflitrator’s signet, and #2 with sword wont move you when out of range (reducing their ability to chase and play with range on sword) also steal wont go on cooldown when used out of range (I think)
No changes for elementalist or mesmer, not sure of necro as I’ve never rly played.
Guardian are getting hit with this, 2 in sword and their teleport meditation wont allow them to move as easily.
OK change… Not sure if they felt thieves were too mobile, and medi guards. I don’t see many other classes being heavily affected.

I see this as good for everybody except thieves and mesmers but mesmers are already in kitten, so it wont make them less kitten.

No, people have been asking for these things before Oculus rift was just a concept.
You have to build your game around VR for it to work. It could be retrofitted but it wont be as good. Guidl wars 2 is ultimate a third person combat game, it will not work well with the rift.
Also the rift is a 200-400 piece of equipment with a niche fanbase what makes you think ARenanet will support it?
This game has no healer, so NO. It will only benefit classes with more regen.
The cost of which will not add any of the benefits you seem to think it will have. All the listed benefits are already a part of the fight. You should already be thinking on when to use your healing skill. all you will end with is a slower match because people will wait until either their healing skill is back or people will just go into bunker.
So terrible idea, that adds nothing to the game.
if u upload some gameplay, im sure ppl would be willing to give u pointers on wat u should’ve done in x-situation. the reason why everyone’s giving u a hard time is because all they see is you complaining in a post. Which, most posts of that nature tend to be from less than average players(skill wise). Everyone here isn’t having the same one-sided experiences that you have listed. They could probably help you. There are a number of players that wouldn’t mind having some practice duels with you and give you some tips to be better with your guardian.
besides, how the kitten did this thread change into me having trouble with playing guardians.
All i did was point out the major flaws of the class and added that a few hours into ranger offered me more strategical insight than 4k hours did on my guard. Its as simple as that.

Down state is dumb period. I have played close to 1000 matches and I have learned to deal with it. I exploit it in both pvp and wvw doing things like rally off wild life in WvW. I do portal stump, immue stomp, leave ppl downed in a match to keep them out of the fight and all that jazz and I STILL think is just plain stupid .
You cannot exploit something that is working as intended. Everything you just said is part of the strategy of the downstate, I am not exactly sure what you were intending to say.
Hey guys today for my open book physics test I exploited the test by using my text book. I am so clever and brilliant.
I’m not saying it’s not allowed , I’m saying it’s dumb. If you get killed you die, there shouldn’t be another mini game of downed state that frankly adds nothing to the enjoyment of the game. All it does is screw over new players who doesn’t know how downed state works and make the game more complicated than it needs to be.
edit: I have introduced 4 friends to GW2 and had to explain downed state to everyone and everytime I go through what it is and how it works you can just see their eyes roll.

I kept reading, and apparently, china has been getting updates before we do, and apparently they get HOT the same time we do..which doesn’t make any sense. We have had the game for 2yrs, almost 3. they barely had it for 1.

For China, ArenaNet has strived for normal patches to come out at or near the same time in China. They will strive to do the same for HoT, but shipping a boxed expansion has a lot more to consider over normal patches.

Let’s assume what you are saying is true, IT ISN’T. Arenanet is going to do what is best for their company not us.
1. Dragon ranks has no corelation to MMR, neither those achievement points. Ranks and Achievement points nothing but functions of how much time you wasted playing this game.
2. The MM tries to achieve a balance team by using MMR. So if you have
HHHHLLLLLL, teams end up with HHLLL, HHLLL. (H high mmr, L low mmr).
3. The quality of the MMR depends on when you play. During offspeak, MMR pretty much says kitten it and groups up people as stated in 2.
4. It is probably a conspiracy by the farmer’s union, PETA and Arenanet trying to ruin guild wars 2 PvP.
In my opinion I think the revenant’s story should start with a tutorial inside of the mists.

I have 1 level 20 scroll , 60 tomes , 360 skill points and 46 gold exclusively reserved for my Revenant. Insta lvl 80 with all skill and traits. All future toons will receive the same treatment.

You could always just build full celestial. You’ll at least deal decent damage and be able to survive everything anyway. Especially with the legend swapping changing your playstyle, it would give you a broader reach with your skills (changing from condition focuses to power focuses, for example, or maybe support when needed).
celestial set are rarely good. you don’t know anything about the class to be able to suggest building a set that takes up to 60 days to make.

-5v5 failed in WoW. Fact.
-Nearly every other MMO on the market (WOW, FF14,SWTOR,Wildstar) has gone with 3v3/4v4 deathmatch as the main PVP gamemode. Fact.
-GW2 5v5 consists of 20 abilities x 10 (200) that need to be kept track of, which is overwhelming. Fact.
-Most players ignore objectives in Hotjoin. Fact.
-Finding 4 players on the same timezone/skill level/commitment/schedule is very hard, especially with gw2 small pvp playerbase. Fact.These are all undeniable ‘Facts’. I know people don’t want to hear it, but Guardian is in a good spot. Yes, there are small tweaks and QoL changes I feel that are needed, nevertheless, Guardian has a number of viable builds and roles that can be used competitively.
You will see how many guardians will be going in wvw after stability update. Ppl will change classes.
Guardians due stability worked were over-represented in WvW, when only 4 classes are part of a Meta that is not a good sign.
Given the amount of stability in the new system, I really doubt stability will be less important, Guardians will actually be more important and because players will have to ensure someone always has stability to apply.

Wow expansion already came out several months ago…And Arenanet actually does already care about what a streamer does. They were in contact with that streamer sodapoppin when he started playing this game. They understand that good can come from publicity from these streamers. Sadly many of the players of this game dont.

Why would someone want to willing torture themselves through the worthless first 1-79 levels? You don’t learn your class fully into you hit 80.
IT is rather funny watching people act like the Revenant is a special class and not simply just a new class. Revenant isn’t special, the only thing different about it is the fact it was release 2-3 years after the first 8.
You cant possibly play enough to be rank 80 and then suck at the game as much as a brand new pvper such as myself

Consider:
Player A normally plays speed run dungeons/roaming a lot in WvW, and has a lot of experience in GW2, but he has not played PvP a lot, therefore his PvP Rank is very low, but he still might be a good player there.Player B has played a PvP, and has a high PvP rank, BUT that was 1 year ago, so this old experience does not help him a lot.
Player C has played a lot of Hot-Join or participated in rank farms. He has a high PvP rank, but has almost non experience.
Player D has a lot of PvP experience and a high PvP rank, but he is just bad…
most of the time i get matched with higher ranks and they do not suck, hence i get kitten d.
That is a problem. Please consider, that the MMR takes time to place you in the right position, as does it for everybody else.

This where you are wrong. It is only recently except for the occasional complaining from that Necromancer Lordwhocares, most of the rank discussion have died down because the people on this forum already know that rank doesn’t mean anything.
Anyways, before rank was taken away (and boost) a lot of people on this very forum would complain how they were a lot of noobs with rank 80. Some would go as far as to say that they would they had better luck playing with non-rank 80s than they did with some 80s. The point beingi you can play a lot of games and still be a terrible worthless player.

Yes anet are lazy, they spend 95% of their time on PvE garbage. They think it’s cool kitten, but it’s Guild wars; obviously linking to PvP or WvW, not NPC wars.
Capricorn is 1000x better than kittenhammer and spirit watch AND Zergyard. All their new PvP maps are the bottom 3 favourite of 90 percent of pvpers. Yes Capricorn was a bit unbalanced due to immortal rangers and engis, you could just simply nerf them instead of ruining our fun… STILL waiting for ranger downed 3 to be nerfed and just engis in general.

2. Any company that wants to stay in business is going to focus on their core audience wants, which is NOT PvP. I mean not even in Guild wars 1 was the PvP the focus after prophecies.
3. Capricorn was a terrible map because the core systems of the game did not support the map. It is just a slightly more popular version of the skyhammer.
4. PvPers are not a monolith block, people have difference preference. The people on the forum represents just one, so your 90% statistic is just hyperbole. Thus useless, similar to how the word “Joke” has become overused.
5. Generally, if you want convince the dev to take your opinion seriously don’t rely on anger and hyperbole.

TDM is not the purest form of PvP since due to the rock paper scissor games tend to have.

I like how MMR ties to the win loss rate which can be completely out of an individual player’s control ie teammates in deathmatch mentality playing GW2 PVP conquest.
They can be extremely skillful and can win majority of 1v1s (off-point) but dont understand capping nodes (in some matches the bonus objective) contributes more to the score and hence determines win/loss.
P.S I am not a PVP player. I am only grinding out wins for the Champion title. If people want to be casual about win/loss is fine by me, I am not a hardcore player. I only ask that the teammates that I am paired up with knows the mechanics of conquest. Don’t think MMR helps in that regard whatsover.
True about MMR being less about individual skill, but since it applies to everyone and randomly, it suck less.
I don’t remember anyone being excited about skyhammer, it featured all the things that the spvp community at the time did not want- ie a greater focus on standing on points, more cheese.
Stronghold is a non-conquest map and has some interesting moba like features, so yeah looking forward to it.
Of course you don’t remember, also the PvP “community” is big and varied, soooooooooo. Why would you know?

Few questions about this:
- How often do you swap from your main class to the class daily to get the AP?
- Do you enjoy the encouragement to try another class?
- If you were to change this daily, what would you want it to be changed to instead?

There shouldn’t be any SPVP dailies except “Kill X players” and “win X games as any class”, basically things you do by just playing the game. The ones where you need to capture a base are awful too, 2-3 people capping home at the start of the game is lol. The profession win ones are by far the worst designed ones, though.
Take out the “kill X players” it encourages bad behavior for inexperienced players. “Play X # of games” is better.
But why do people even bother queing in ranked when they just gonna afk anyway?
There a lot of reasons. Some queue due to the easiness of getting their dailies done. Some queue to troll or give their friends an easy win.
Ultimately, the only conclusion is that HUMANs are jerks, there is no reason to try and rationalize why people do X.
Assuming they are not there to troll. Players go afk if they realize they are going to lose anyways. I mean why bother, rarely do unorganized teams EVER make a comeback. I mean why waste your time doing Z if the outcome is already predetermine and there is no severe punishment for inaction.
With the brain-dead NPC AI from the demo videos last week, it shouldn’t be hard to just focus down the lord.

Reading your post, I see no suggestions on how you think it should be fixed. You cannot force a horse to drink. A player that doesn’t want to PvP is simply going to leave spawn to avoid any system in place.
Yes the boss is too easy because it was weaken to allow the press to be able to beat the content.

I kept reading “We’re looking into this, we have this in mind” and so on forever…build templates for example, i remember devs were looking into that ONE freaking YEAR ago…and still nothing….and this is only one thing on the countless list of things someone promised and noone did…they all just got lost into the “When it’s ready” oblivion
It seems you are trying to change the game to suit your taste when it is far more likely for you to change by simply not playing the game. Arenanet isn’t going to change their M.O, just to make you happy, so you will either have to accept it or make a thread complaining about it just like the other hundreds of it.
Also build templates for example is not the thing that will keep you here, it wont suddenly make the game more fun. It will simply make the game less cumbersome. It will act like a temporary stopgate and after a while, you will proceed to be complaining about something else.
tl;dr
It is significantly easier to change yourself by quitting a game you are not having fun in, than the game making you happy. I mean if after 900+ days you are not having fun, nothing is going to make you have more fun.
