If they buffed it any higher than 2% it would be pretty op for reflect damage like WoR + save yourselves on lupi. If they do buff it they should buff necro target the weak from 2% per condi to 3-4% per condi.
Thats why I said if you really care that much
You just need to learn to evade key attacks, position yourself correctly and use blinds when fighting trash. Good thieves dont compromise dps for survivability, they stick with the 25/30/0/0/15 build. If you cant play with it then you may aswell just play a warrior and let someone whos better at thief play it or practise more.
p3 is the most pug friendly. P2 is easy if you can skip deadeyes.
Yeah the floors disappeared. Was quite confused yesterday when we did p3. Ended up doing the jump to the right on to the pipe to get over to the boss. Not sure how this got broken but well its pretty worrying seeing as more and more bugs are showing up in dungeons and with no dungeon team they arent getting fixed. Same issue with all the exploits.
I havent checked but I believe spiders in TA and arah are still bugged and prespawned compared to when they use to drop down from the ceiling when you got close.
Of the ones I didnt miss.
Best
1. Molten Facility
2. Twilight Assault
3. Aetherblade Retreat
4. Tequatl (despite my dislike for open world content, it was quite fun the first time and large amounts of new content are always good)
5. Fractals (i missed the opening of fractals but they are a big part of endgame, just want the rewards to be fixed soon)
Worst
1. Flame and frost prelude
2. Canachs lair
I cant really say anymore. There were parts of most releases that I enjoyed despite them being temporary. I guess thats the problem though, temporary content feels like it needs to be rushed and when its gone its gone.
Condition damage isnt completely terrible in pve. It just has too many problems and takes too much time to build up to respectable damage. If condition damage scaling is buffed in pve, I could definately see rampager necros becoming a solid pick for organised groups in some dungeons.
I can confirm you can do it in your inventory. It becomes account bind despite it saying “will become soulbound” when transmuting.
Not to mention many people would rather not take them into dungeons like arah where the sword makes it more awkward to dodge lupi’s attacks.
Check my sig for the most efficient/useful build you can take for dungeons, especially in organised groups where dps is important.
If you find you get serious about dungeons you will most likely level some alts and move away from the necro. I do however go back to mine occasionaly for a bit of fun.

You can have both if you really care that much about +5 extra power.

Repost this if you are a strong mace/axe warrior who dont need no stacking

You can full melee slick and sparki without kiting the ooze btw. Blind spam op.
It is in select situations. :P
Thank you!
Saw a dagger warhorn necro in coe today. :O
They should just remove jump so its just like gw1. Problem solved.
I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you retract this idea now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you – in wvw.
Good luck.
The boss mechanics are better. But it doesnt rectify the problems with why classes are picked. Mesmer focus is more than enough for pulling the strikers into the clockheart. Until conditions are made better you wont see necros and engis as a popular pick for organised groups.
Well ive tried it on multiple fields and it hasnt worked on any of them. Ill test smoke field when i log on.
They should just remove jump so its just like gw1. Problem solved.
I find scepter better than GS. :P
Worst part about alts is grinding ascended gear. Especially the backpiece and now weapons.
I guess but then i wouldnt be able to take close to death. Which I dont like. If it gets made a master trait then sure. The only reason dhummfire is a grandmaster is because burning is so much more effective on a necro than it is on other classes because of all the cover conditions.
Erm i havent found any non group events that I cant complete solo. Openworld mobs die so fast not really sure what you are finding difficult. The only challenge in open world is soloing group events or the odd champion.
Yes a vuln on crit should be a grandmaster….. Other classes get the same trait as an adept trait.
Pretty sure krait-witch is doable. I might try that.
But bare in mind group events are usually tailored for more than 5 players, so people can rally each other indefinately, wp rush and the boss wont focus one or even 5 targets permanently. Its only recently that they made it so you can fail meta events in open world. Dungeons are tailored for 5 players.
That skull splitter trait. That should be readded and it should work for all weapons.
Stacking for spider queen is pretty risky when you are carrying 2 people lvling their engis in white lvl 1 gear. ;D
Theres no dungeon team.
They are the only hard pve content. Theres nothing hard about open world.
Some of them still provide a challenge in certain places. Everything becomes easier when rehearsed and when in a decent group. Doesnt mean it becomes a cake walk. Although the difficulty of most dungeons is a bit low for my taste. This is the reason weve been setting challenges and solo challenges recently.
What the hell is shade?
Ah c’mon. I have been doing dungeon content in groups back in the days, when you still had to dial in and pay for the minute.
I have progression raided AQ40 up to C’thun and Naxx40 (as feral druid mind you…) and long before WoW was announced, I raided in other games. The key in every group content is, get the calls, get the transitions, know when to dps, know when to get out of the way.
If the group knows what to do, it is essentially free loot. It is absolutely no different in the dungeons in GW2. It is 100% the same. Can things go wrong? They can do so everywhere. Random players bring in some randomness which might cause turbulances, but in an experienced group,
dungeons
are
a
cakewalk.
I dont find it fun when a pug is pulling mobs and getting us killed just by being stupid and not LoSing properly. I can however have a laugh when people know what they are supposed to do but fail to execute anyway. And ofcourse dungeons are easier in organized groups, they are supposed to be. Not sure what you are trying to prove.
Yeah obviously you have to include the stats on scholars. And yeah for simplicity I would suggest including all buffs. But with sigils im pretty sure most people take 1 force/night/slaying sigil and then something like accuracy/battle or energy on the offhand. It depends and I think thats why we should include them. The only time most people stack 2 dmg modifier sigils is in record attempts as far as I can tell.
(edited by spoj.9672)
Yep ok I see what ive done wrong haha. It does seem to cancel when using the actual numbers. But that means you can only ignore potions, vuln and possibly scholar runes. Some builds wont use the same sigils (2H vs 1H) and some might benefit more from different runes.
Discussion helped me so thanks for that. xD
I still think you should include all though, just to give an accurate value to optimum conditions. Doesnt take much extra effort to factor in 3 extra modifiers to each build. :P
(edited by spoj.9672)
That doesnt give you the effect though. Read up ^
Being in an organized group means that your not held back by people doing stupid things due to lack of knowledge and frustrating you. In an organized group everyone is on the same page (most of the time) and the things that go wrong are usually silly mistakes or people messing around. Which is often a good laugh.
[(new – original)/original]*100
so [(27.05-15.5)/15.5]*100 = 74.51%
Ok lets compare two build with different modifiers and then factor in the modifier from scholar runes.
1.1*1.05 = 1.155
1.1*1.05*1.1 = 1.2705
Which means scholar provides a percentage increase of 74.5161% between the end modifiers.
Now for a build with more modifiers.
1.1*1.1*1.15 = 1.3915
1.1*1.1*1.15*1.1 = 1.53065
Which makes scholar provide a percentage increase of 35.5429%
Please tell me what im missing? Because the way I see it you cant ignore any common factors unless all builds have the exact same damage modifiers in traits.
Edit: I sort of see what your saying but I dont think its that simple. The gap is widened on certain builds when you include more or less buffs for a comparison. So build A could be providng quite a bit less dps than build B in X conditions but in Y conditions the values are actually closer? Agh my brain hurts, I should probably just do some actual full calculations to check if what im saying is true haha.
(edited by spoj.9672)
If you want to go condi necro, go rampager hybrid. The single target dps doesnt drop off too much and you get better sustained aoe.
We are talking about ignoring modifiers that are not build-dependent: potions, sigils etc
But you cant because of what Nike just said. Those extra modifiers provide a larger dps increase than they do on other builds so ignoring them creates an unrealistic difference in optimum conditions. Its simple maths :P
Theres always ways to clear a dungeon faster. New strategies, different team compositions and mistakes happen and make for a good laugh.
@Dolan
Just because two builds have the same buffs doesnt mean they can be ignored because they cancel out. Due to the way the buffs interact with calculations they skale differently depending on the class/build.
Allow us to skip the trash and reduce slick and sparki’s hp and its a good path.
Why the hell did they move it to a dead subforum. :/
So unfair. It doesnt even fit this forum. Dungeon challenges =/= events.
11k is where its at!
20 in honour is fine for when you are starting out. The extra hp helps a lot. Just be ready to move on to a better build when you feel more comfortable.
“This channel does not exist.”
The trash can all be los’d and burst down in melee. They stopped us from skipping most of it which tbh I dont like. Its forcing us to play a certain way. But atleast all the trash is faceroll and dies really fast.
