Welcome. guardian is an awesome class to play.
When you say ‘Pve’ are we talking dungeons here?
Because for dungeons you will probably wanna change that weapon set up a bit.
You can divide your trait points to your choosing and can spend up to 30 points total in one trait line. Each advance in a trait line is 5 points.

The ArenaNet dungeon team seems to think “improve” means “add HP, trash mobs, and more damage” to the dungeons, rather than rebuild the parts that people have issue with. I’ve been playing since the headstart, and have yet to see an improvement. Heck, it was the same way in GW1, with the dungeons only ever getting harder and harder, more impossible.
Not really. In GW1 (before the Shadow Form gimmicky teambuilds), you had to build your team around the mobs you’d encounter. You needed to take interrupts, knockdowns, AoE, tanks etc. The difficulty in GW1 was that your team needed to be able to counter a lot of things. In GW1, you couldn’t just build a full DPS team and expect to finish DoA, UW, FoW, Urgoz, Deep… On the contrary, you’d get your kitten handed to you probably.
And in GW1, the addition of HM was more than just “more HP, more damage”. They gave the foes extra skills and made their skills synergize as well, making them actually more challenging fights, not solely based on HP and damage. Whereas the artificial difficulty from GW2 with bloated HP bars and more raw damage is hardly creative. It’s just tedious.
People hailed the HM in GW1 because it was implemented pretty good. People hate the ‘hard mode’ Fractals gives because it’s unimaginative and boring.
I really miss hard mode from GW1. You’re right, fotm is just awful and boring even at higher lvls. -.-
Nothing wrong with guardians using scepter/focus and staff as their sets, its safer than melee, provides good group support and with the right build hits hard.
Be careful not to assume that your playstyle is the right way or the only way.
I want to quote OP here:
‘Hey folks, I was chatting with some friends in game and the idea came up to make a text or video guide to introduce newer players to the tactics and strategies that are used for optimizing dungeon runs’
What you are saying has no place here, as we are talking about optimization. You cannot optimize by running staff and scepter/focus as your weapon sets.
The truth in this post makes me sad
Just happened to my team, we needed a replacement but everyone had already loaded the new build. Not sure what can be done to fix this issue though tbh.
all of this^
+ Two sets I always make sure to have on fresh 80’s before I enter a dungeon:
Start with knights, once comfortable change to zerkers. Keep knights for kitten times or if that’s just what you’re comfortable in. Try to avoid using PVT sets, they are good training wheels but they aren’t the best for your team and you don’t want to build a reliance on that set. Don’t run magic find. Magic find is for open world content where the only person you are hindering is yourself.
Guardians
Make sure to use your virtues. And as said above, melee is where you belong. Remember that along with your boons and projectile nullification you are a controller. You have ample ways to control mobs and make the run smoother.
Defiance

I do many dungeons and this has never happened to me, however i have seen it happen to others, and every time it has happened, there was a very good reason for it. The person getting kicked was awful and intentionally not pulling their weight. Not using virtues, auto-attacking and slacking off in the back, or wearing full magic find or argueing and picking fights with other players.
Just earlier I was in fotm 48 with a godawful guardian, he didnt touch his virtues and his main wep that he camped was scepter. He failed to use projectile stoppers (SOA/WOR) when required and when we got the end of dredge, kept getting killed by the ice elemental boss and screwing the teammates over trying to res him. Multiple times I asked myself whether I should kick him, but I kept saying no, we can just carry him, im on my guardian, we can do it.. but the reality was, it was essentially a 4 man party with him, he was useless. I even tried to ask him to use his virtues (politely) etc, but was ignored. He had a friend in the group (from his guild) as well, and I suspected it would cause trouble if we kicked this guy. If as you propose, we needed 4 votes to kick, we would never have been able to get rid of this idiot. In this case, my hesitation was our demise in the end, as the new build hit, he decided to leave and we couldn’t replace him due to the separate versions of the game. We ended up 4 manning ice ele and surprise it was easy peasy without him. Unfortunately we could not finish the run.
TL:DR kick feature is important. Yes people can abuse it but most of the time there’s a good reason for getting kicked. I believe alot of the time, the person at fault is oblivious to the problems they are causing in the party and never see the kick coming, even if its happened to them multiple times before. My suggestion to you is to find out exactly what it is that’s going on for you to get singled out so many times and fix it.

If you are playing ranger just for dungeons, all i can say is, don’t invest too much time and money into it, you will regret it. It’s a fun class, but ultimately it’s subpar compared to the others. After dropping 200G and 600+ hours on my ranger, trying out all the builds, trying to be as efficient as possible I can honestly say I regret wasting my time and money. Fun to play, not so much when you need to max out efficiency vs other classes. Get ur 80 exotic sets + ur ascended accessories and call it a day, don’t bother with T3 or legendaries.
However, one place ranger is actually really shining atm is spvp and I recommend you have a go with it there, my ranger only spvps now, wish I had come to that realization sooner XD.
edit- longbow isn’t as bad as people say, (dungeon wise) running it in zerker with a Quickness build used to be acceptable just rapid fire+ barrage in quickness then switch out to another weapon… although with the quickness nerf now it’s questionable again. You also would want to run piercing arrows trait to get the most out of it, which is irritating because it requires 30 points in a trait line. I’ve always been on the opinion that all ranger arrows should pierce by default.
Your elite really shines in fotm- Entangle is a great asset in dredge fractal for the aoe immobilize, along with muddy terrain. This can also be utilized on lava fractal to hold lava eles together and to stop the vet shamans pushing villagers off the cliff. Your LB 4 knockback is also great here.
Always take healing spring. Consider running a drake pet for blast finisher along with your Greatsword skill 3, inside the heal spring for aoe heals.

Being new to dungeons, I didn’t like the idea, so I kicked him.
logged just to report
even more awesome.
I too, do not like new and scary things.
There’s a place for it. But I don’t think CM’s armor set was that place.
I’m having trouble coming up with a better design myself, but once I think the sketches feel “complete”, it’ll get fully Maya rendered and then hopefully Anet will one day follow Skyrim’s lead and let us “cotribute” such projects to their Art resources through Steam-Workshop…
That would be awesome.
<- This scumbag elitist is interested.
:o i never noticed. mhm I do like the clean one better personally XD
Y’know what would just be great? Separation of spvp, wvw and Pve skills.
Screw this kitten where everything’s gotta be the same cross-gameplay, people can read the skills, people can adapt. Get over it A-Net.
It’s not working.
You split Save Yourselves. If you can do that, you can split ranger skills + pet and actually make it kittening useful in dungeons.
’I hate dungeons, therefore, the entire living story should just cater to me, disregard what anyone else wants and make it all open world content/solo content. ’
Yeaaahhh…No.
90k isn’t a big hit for war on that thing.
I’m not sure what the record is but so far I’ve gotten up to 142k one hit with glass cannon war (Rifle), not sure how many might stacks I had at the time. The best I could do with glass cannon ranger was 102k in one hit so far
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
Arranging the words I quoted into better English, it would be “People like me like to help others when they’re smart enough to learn and ask about something. Nobody was born knowing.”
Aside from the “smart enough” phrase, I’m not seeing that as condescending in the least. . .
Aside from the “smart enough” phrase it isn’t. So we’re in agreement, yes? It’s condescending.
Geez people will argue about anything on forums -.-
I usually just hope that if someone’s new:
1.) Let me know
2.) Ask for an explanation if you are lost/and/or dont know what to do.
3.) Made sure you have put appropriate gear on your character before joining. Craft an exo set, or buy, or go through karma vendors. Not hard and you are ensuring that you will have an easier time of things and not drag your team down.
That’s it really. I think people are scared to admit they are new because they think they will get kicked. That’s a horrible mentality for some groups to have and it leads to people just not asking for help when it’s needed which just leads to more problems.
High level fractal rewards suck, although Robert did hint they were aware and possibly looking into it… which was like a month ago though.
You got a link to that?
A month ago.. mmh it may have been forgotten about T_T
I believe they originally nerfed the crap out of drops in fotm because when it first released, everyone rushed to fotm and abandoned the other dungeons and open world activities. This was their idea of forcing people to do what they wanted by modifying the rewards. So I’m not too optimistic about anything changing there, but one can hop e >_<
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
I run 0AR in L48 FotM all the time with my friends for the personal challenge. The only time I ever get downed against an agony-inflicting attack is against maw thanks to how much I play Fractals, but I certainly wouldn’t do that in pubs. The only reason I mention this is because AR doesn’t mean anything if you’re a good player, and as a result of that I don’t gear check other players ever.
How a player plays is more important than their AR. I’ve been in groups where a player with 45AR dies more than anyone else and cannot dodge to save their life, and I’ve been with players who have 0 AR and play perfectly. If a player I am with is particularly awful and is holding the team back from succeeding, I will kick them and replace them mid-run, but I always give players the benefit of the doubt before we get in and actually see how they play.
That’s great and all, but seriously, I have seen way too much stupid T_T. Even at the higher levels, for me to waste time. You can say you’ve been in teams with people with 0 ar and been fine, that’s great… but I’ve been in teams with people with 0 AR and it’s been absolutely atrocious. It’s all random on what kind of player you are going to get and I feel I minimize the risk with a geared one somewhat more than if I took a non- geared. I myself ran with no AR for ages back when fotm first started up, so yeh I know it’s do-able.
But Imo it’s better safe than sorry, especially when it’s people who you don’t know and have never played with and so cannot make a judgement on skill. I’m one of those people, that once in, if someone is really bad, I hesitate and cant bring myself to kick them, then my bf gets kitten off at me because I’m being too nice and we get into an argument -.-
It takes a couple mins to gear check and it can save hours of screw ups. Plus finding a replacement at 48 can take a while and it’s annoying. Usually I am just checking for magic finders (and god I’ve seen alot), but every so often you see a guy with little to no AR, and when asked about it, they admit they are new or just want to see what happens.. which isn’t really my cup of tea to bring into a lvl 48.
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
On a side note- shield 5 is good fun for knocking those Molten protectors out of the ring in the new dungeon. It’d be great if there were more dungeons with fight mechanics like this to make shield more useful. Atm I am coming up with crafty ways to run behind mobs and bump them into aoes when my GS aoe pull is on cooldown, timing it for projectile stopping between SOA and WOR and bursting it for a heal when im far enough away to not knock mobs out of aoe.
We cannot possibly know the skill of the pug who joins our team, that is why we make sure they have the AR, so when/if they kitten up (they pretty much always do) they are covered.
Gear checking is really all you can do.
/scumbag swiftpaw at it again with her gear checking shenanigans.
A friend told me there’s rumours of new armour skins with this new living story content.
Any sources anyone? :o
Lets just forget about these /meh dungeons and make new ones!
Actually I figured you would know this, but it’s the jade maw that is the issue. You cannot go past 50 because res orbs no longer work, 99% doesn’t work etc etc. I never said I don’t believe you have 80. I have friends who got it before patch.
Of course you can get in a group with someone who’s gotten to 80 before the patch, open it up and do it, that’s simple. But anyone claiming to physically get past 50 after the patch is full of kitten. it’s a matter of pics or it didnt happen. Show me a video of you beating maw at fotm 50 post-patch.
We all know the dungeon is faceroll easy, but nice to see you got all that nonsense off your chest.
And I would think that you would know that you can advance just fine in levels (faster, even) by only ever doing odd levels. You don’t get the daily Maw rewards, but your reward level increases nonetheless. As such, yes, you can proceed past level 50 personal reward even after the patch. No, you can’t complete an even number past 48, but I haven’t seen anyone claiming to do so outside of your misunderstanding. >_>
Sure if you have a friend who can open the instance for you. But I think Anet’s made it pretty clear they don’t want people advancing past 50 so I would consider it an exploit given that not everyone has a friend with access to instances past 50.
I should clarify, when I said physically I simply meant actually doing maw. Nobody can get past 50 by doing maw these days which is what I initially figured he was talking about the first time. When he said he’s been getting higher lvls now by grouping with someone higher to bypass the 50 maw insta kill I disregarded it because as I said, not everyone has a friend above 50 and it’s obviously not intended to be accessed at this point in time by A-net.

this still alive? im lvl 80 in fracs and im not saying i dont glitch but i can do it without glitching a single fractal
if you cant do lvl 16 or higher it just means you need more practice in doing it, or get a better teamfor example you complain about arm seals not being doable if you kill first 4 chanters,
thats actually part of the design, it means you need to be careful
and if i have a good team, i can still kill all 4 chanters and complete it at lvl 50hell, at lvl 16 i could duo most fracs with a friend of mine.
Cool….
well i don t even believe you, but i really don t care…..
That is an issue for 99,9% players if you are the 0,01 and can solo arah expl gratz to you…..its not a good reason to not fix issues for MOST players.Expecially because even if you are perfect a single PUG can throw out of the Windows 1,5 hours play…..
P.S. i didn t say wich lvl i play nor what i find difficult….i can say this.
I’ve run more fractals that most players…..and 80% of my playtime is fotm since it was released.P.P.S: where are all those uber skilled players in game?
Everyone plays lvl 79 with pugs and never fails ON THE FORUM…..but gw2lfg is Always empty past 40….and when you find people .____________. well …..better have guardians and warriors….
SOmething is wrong….on a forum nobody knows you are a kitten.Likely he got to fotm 80 by using exploits back before the patch that now stops you from going past 50. So really even mentioning that is irrelevant and probably just a ‘omg look at me I’m all the way up here’ thing.
Getting up to the current cap however, is not impossible without exploits. The OP is just making a mountain out of a molehill because he’s struggling with poor teams at 16, which is no surprise to me really.. There are some utterly dreadful players down at the lower levels, and they stay down there for good reason.
When I advertise for a 48 group in gw2lfg it takes ages to find people, and then even longer to weed out the idiots before starting. I’m not sure if this is because there’s a lack of decent players, or because nobody really wants to do 40+ as it’s a waste of time, money wise. I think the real issue with fotm is the time vs. reward. There really is no reason to do it unless you want skins or bags, and the skins are a real awful gamble.
you dont believe i have 80? if you want to see i’ll show in game, and i even got it after the patch that made it impossible going past lvl 50,
infact the people i did it with are still doing 70+ after the recent patch that fixed dredge & ice
how?? because you dont need to do lvl 78 to open lvl 79 you just need some1 in your party who is lvl 79
you also dont need exploits to get to lvl 80,
=======
Ascalon, all you need is good luring crowd controll and having the npcs do the work for you, both on the captain and the big mobsice, if you cant do this you really need to think about switching proff as this frac dousnt reset
swamp, just needs some practice, if you have trouble with mossman RESS ON WOLVES and when he goes stealth, watch the mini map you’ll see who he goes for and you can even dodge his first attack
asura, i admit raving asura can be challanging there but all it requires is some1 that knows how to kyte the asura and the other 4 need a tactic on the 4 golems(this is a tactic NOT a glitch
water, the groups can be hard but if you manage to lure em and seperate em you can slowly take out their numbers
colossus, the boss can be challanging but if you take out the chanters before killing him it can be done
also the chanters on the seals are tactics, not glitches to leave 1 alive..i admit that shaman can be very hard, but with the right group and right tactics you can easely do it, how? as soon as his shield goes up, have an Ele/nech/ranger chill him, while the rest of the group takes out the elementals
Actually I figured you would know this, but it’s the jade maw that is the issue. You cannot go past 50 because res orbs no longer work, 99% doesn’t work etc etc. I never said I don’t believe you have 80. I have friends who got it before patch.

Well, now we have gotten the predictably pessimistic posts out of the way… -_-
Anyone?
(Props to the guy who made the super original warrior reference which I haven’t already seen a million times before on the ranger forums.)
Hey guys, I am new to thief, just got mine to 80 today, and wondering what the best/ most effective build would be for fractals? Preferably for high lvls, (40+)
Thanks
Eventually, it will be fixed. But Anet is more concerned with pumping out New Content than fixing their broken content at the moment. This will probably be a continuing trend. Unless the bug/issue is exploitable by the player or is otherwise rewarding, then they are not quick to stop it. (Oh but you better beleive they’ll get a 4 hour hotfix out if if you could make some money with this issue.)
Oh, well I’m not in a rush or anything, I just really want a definitive answer as to whether it will be fixed at some point in time, or if this is intentional on their part.
This has probably been asked before, but I couldnt find any info…
The Legendary Eternity- Is this ever getting any cosmetic upgrades in the future? I have heard that the footprints and body glow are currently non-existent on Eternity, although Twilight and Sunrise have them separately. I am wanting to create twilight and combine it with my Sunrise, but I’m sure what the point would be.
ATM it seems better to keep the two weapons separate for these cosmetic reasons which is a pity.
I really want to buy one of these, will even spend real lifes moneys, but that gap is a big turn off T_T. Really would love a response, even if they could just say they plan on fixing it at some point, I would buy it straight up!
I prefer to run Shortbow over longbow for spirits simply because the auto attack is alot faster which should mean more burning procs, it seems to go well with a condi build.
I’m really looking for a way to make Longbow effective in sPvP.
Honestly, you come off as someone who doesn’t know what support even is.
You seem to have a pretty big generalization on how a particular Guardian is traited. For instance, using Scepter / Focus has the potential to provide Might on crits through EM (and if the fight calls for ranged), Chains of Light adds 3 stacks of Vulnerability, and Focus provides Blind, Regeneration, and Condition removal.
Stop worrying on how someone else is playing their character and you’ll be better off. If you’re that concerned about optimal play (a la Berserker Warrior COF 1), then join a guild, or find four others to run high level Fractals.
Actually, I made no reference to berserker warriors or anything >_>
And you can get just as many, if not more crits, by using a hammer, Greatsword or mace, and actually be doing alot more for your team, and have the benefits of EM.
And I’m sorry but I am referring to people who sit on their sceptre the entire fight, be it trash mobs or bosses. I do not believe this to be very constructive at all.
Honestly you come off as someone who probably does this and thinks it’s acceptable.
-Guardian who constantly pushes things out of aoe with shield or hammer.
This one really kitten es me off… Even more when the mob has defiant on it…
When I go GS, run in front, pull all mobs toguether and when Im about to go on WW for huge AoE and group might stacks, the other guard (Sw/Sh, because it looks cool) spread them around… now we are sitting in the center of a big crossed fire…
Facepalm, fall back, wait for the guardian to die and start complaining…
yeh when I’m on my guardian, I wait for them to do it, and then pull, because I can’t trust them to be logical about how they use their push after I’ve pulled em in .
.
It’s more difficult when I’m on my warrior and halfway through a hundred blades though >_<
I always find these improvement posts depressing because they’re great but I know they’ll never be taken heed of by A-net. T_T
What exactly is there to glitch in there these days anyway >_>
I’m at 48 and do this legit afaik?
Call me silly but here are some things I have seen from guardians in dungeons that do not make sense to me.
- Guardian claims to be a ‘support guardian’, his main weapon set is sceptre/focus.. every now and again he uses staff empower and calls it a day.
-Guardian who doesn’t use virtues at all. Does not touch them. Now when I (politely) ask why, I am usually either
 a.) Ignored
b.)Told ’I’m not traited to use them.’
c.)Told they are better off for the party if they don’t use them.
d.)Asked ‘What are virtues?’
e.) Told ‘I only use them at the very last minute when everyone’s dieing or dead.’
f.) Told ‘I don’t see the point to using them.’
-Guardian who constantly pushes things out of aoe with shield or hammer.
- The sceptre 1 spamming, sit in the back and do nothing Guardian.
-The conditions guardian running torch and sceptre as main set. Sure looks fun, but at fotm 48 I think it’s a bad idea >_>
Why? I don’t understand why people choose these options. Is there something I am missing? I mean, I see people doing these things who have up to 6k achieves.. it just baffles me.
I’m not sure how to explain alot of the time, to people that what they are doing isn’t really the best for the dungeon party. Maybe this is just my opinion, but I don’t see any of the above behaviour as very constructive and I want to be able to explain to people in a way that will change what they are doing. I feel like I’m just treading on people’s toes if I say anything to them while in the dungeon, but it just frustrates the hell out of me to watch, especially when you know the run is taking longer because of them.
This horse is dead and despite what we all are screaming for all of it is falling on deaf ears. Fractal skins being a random drop is a joke. Most people don’t have time to run fractals like a job. Put it on a vendor and make them pricey. At least then people would know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Quoting this 1 month later because it’s still true.
Whoah O_O
Looking forward to it :o
Wall of text so I spoilered:
The only problem is the bugs. Bugs in dungeons are awful and my honest opinion is that they should remove reliance on NPC’s, they always screw kitten up.
Other than that, the amount of time you spent in there is a testament to lack of organisation and experience. There’s no ‘superduper’ players, just the new players, and the ones who have done it enough to know how the dungeon works. When I say enough to know, it really takes like 1 or 2 runs for most people to understand how everything works.
I have taken, on countless occasions, people who have never run a dungeon before, and the one thing that makes them get through it is organisation and an explanation of how each fight works before hand. You do not have to be hardcore to do a dungeon, you just need to enter with a plan.
As dev’s have said before.
‘People complain it’s too hard now, give it a few months and they will complain it’s too easy, we can never win that.’
Dungeons as they are now, are their attempt at somewhere in the middle. You really cannot please everyone I am afraid. Imo I think they failed for most of the dungeons simply because they are either a pain for the inexperienced and boring for the organised. There’s not fun on either side of the spectrum.
When this game first came out, this forum was a SEA of complaints about everything being waaaay too hard.
Inexperienced people going into AC with their lvl 35’s or their 80’s in crap gear and no build setups wondering why they were getting smashed. Now those same people months later come on and complain about it all being way too easy, right down to lupicus and simin from Arah P4, which was supposedly hard.
Every now and then, you see a random guy who’s never set foot in the forums (or arah) before pipe up about Lupicus being obscenely hard, and how he wishes an eternity of hell and torture for the sadistic dev who created him, only to be laughed at by everyone else who knows the fight mechanics and trampled over by the e—peen-ers who will jump on any opportunity to gloat about how they can solo it or how fast their guild team can speedclear it. Some people have really made it into a competition and I think this is mostly because the game lacks really challenging content for the hardcore player, and also because people just love attention and self esteem boosting crap. For me personally I just want to make the run as optimised and quick as possible so I can get the kitten out of there and move onto the next one.
TL:DR
Take a step back and analyse what went wrong. If these people in your team are your friends, check what they are running gear and trait wise. Have them change it up to suit the dungeon and group play. Have those who haven’t done it, watch a quick video on how each fight is to be done.
If you really hate it then by all means don’t do it, there’s plenty of other stuff to do in the game, and other ways to get the same gear stats. So don’t feel forced to. In the future I have hope that new dungeons will be more exciting and fun to new players, while still providing something real and challenging for the experienced. I think that the Molten dungeon added recently is a step in the right direction, the end bosses are great and there’s no NPC bullkitten.. oh and the trash mobs don’t have a bazillion HP to widdle away at.. (hard for new players and boring as hell for experienced.) Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
Ruby orbs will give you the best and most affordable set of zerker stats if you are after all out damage. If you are after some group play, some like to use soldiers for shouts removing conditions and adding a little survivability.
If you want to be a unique snowflake in dungeons, then I suggest rolling a ranger.
Not many can stomach taking more than one in any dungeon, so as long as you’re in the group first, you’ll be the only one!
Thanks for all this guys, I will certainly give the new build a try, my only qualm being that my sacred AH is missing! It’s been quite a while since I ran without it, but perhaps the mace will make up for this :o
To those who are talking pvp, this build I’m after is only for pve, and in particular high lvl fractals :P

Mace is best used with 30 in Radiance for Right-Hand Strength. With the higher crit rate, your auto-attack actually deals more in aggregate than the greatsword’s, so you can run something like 10/30/0/30/0 with Writ of Persistence and Empowering Might. This allows you to “burst” damage with the greatsword (WW > Symbol of Wrath > Binding Blade) then swap to Mace for ten seconds for the stronger auto-attack (with a free extra two Symbols of Faith), then swap back right as your WW and SoW recharge for another burst of damage. So your rotation should look like:
(Battle starts):
Symbol of Wrath > Whirling Wrath > Binding BladeSwap to mace
Symbol of Faith > Auto-attack > Symbol of Faith
Swap to GS
Whirling Wrath > Symbol of Wrath > Binding Blade (if available) > Auto-attack > Whirling Wrath
RepeatThis rotation actually does more damage than just being in GS all the time, and you get all the benefits of Mace/Shield to boot.
This sounds promising, are you running this with a certain set of gear? atm I alternate between knight’s(soldier rune) and zerkers (ruby orb), but I have every stat set available so I do mind switching to whatever is going to be most optimal.
Oh and my biggest hesitation with shield is it’s use in pve. It’s quite situational, and most of the time I really don’t want to push mobs apart in fractals as its better they stick together for aoe. It’s going to be hard for me to switch out my focus for it but I really want to give this a go XD, although there’s some spots I can think of this would be good, eg. on bloomhunger if there’s a gap between SoA and WoR, the shield bubble can fill in for a moment.

… But with the new Braham’s skins, I really want to make a build that works extremely well with this weapon combo. I am talking for fotm 48 runs as the only guard in the team.
I’ve been thinking on it and I’m not sure how I can do this. I’m really looking for synergy between the weapon set, a gear set and a trait set that makes me contribute the best possible to the group through support.
Atm of course I’m running a variation of AH/EM and alternating weapons dependant on the situation. GS for aoe pull, Hammer for ring /prot spam, staff for line/empower, Sceptre/focus for ranged and the 3 blocks blast finisher.
I suppose I’m looking for a way to fit the mace shield set in somehow, while still being just as useful or even more so if possible.
Anyone got any builds for fotm 48 with that wep set? ;O
*P.S. Thanks dungeon team for not fixing CoF 1 so I can continue to never run any of your other unrewarding dungeons and just spam this boring and mindless path all night straight if I feel like making money! You’re doing a real good job here!
Amen to that
You forgot one:
“Search and Rescue” skill:
- Increased cooldown from 85 seconds to 180 seconds in PvP.
- No longer revives defeated allies.
Pet res no longer works in L48 FotM. You now have to 99% it or have 45 AR.
Rangers becoming even less useful in dungeons?
I’m shocked.
longbow next month?
