Swear I’ve spent like 5-10 minutes just waiting for him to stop pacing back and forth.
I’d like to introduce you to Agent Spire…
I feel like after the SS update, they gave her a lobotomy or something. She was pants-on-head-kittened from the start of the game, but it’s like they started hitting her AI with a bat, just to make sure she will never graduate from kindergarten…
’Don’t let the enemy see me bleed.’ I figured she would only say this once a month, but it seems her cycle is 24/7. Poor girl, can you really blame her for being so crazy?
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Sorry to burst your bubble, but 5:42 is no where near the fastest, its actually considered a mediocre group for that time. I regularly run under 5 mins from gate being blown, while playing on my guardian. I have a video posted a few months ago(post quickness nerf), recorded with a 5 min 17s(still slow).
Something weird about your video is that you got a better time despite having much slower kills. I saw it, you didn’t even kill the slave driver in one time warp, OP’s group is much stronger DPS wise.
edit : actually, OP’s video not from gate like yours. They did have better times too if you count from gate.
Listen to Nikaido, he knows what he’s talking about.

-Drops from every mob in the world.
-Given from every mini-game in the event.
-Drops multiple times from holograms in every zone.
-Can purchase additional chests from gem store. And people STILL complain. What a bunch of crybaby whiners, seriously. If it’s not a handout to every casual tryhard then all of a sudden it’s the worst thing ever invented.. give me a break.
Let me know how 6000 or so just appeared in your inventory with little to no effort, because some people are around that many and still no ticket. That’s alot of time and money on their part.
Listen to what you’re saying. People have opened 6000 coffers… THREE DAYS INTO THE EVENT. You have an entire MONTH.
“Waaaaaah I farmed all day and didn’t get what I wanted immediately!” Or is it something like “I was stupid enough to buy coffers in bulk at their peak price and was not rewarded for my stupidity!”
I love that assumption, unfortunately, not all of us have the luxury of a month. We have real lives to go to, I for one start work on Tuesday which is full time 5 days a week, and on my weekends I attend another job for those two days.

‘that’s when I went to get my zerker gear ready so I wouldn’t be inefficient and didn’t get kicked from farming parties, instead of complaining about it on the forums’
THANKYOU I have been kittening waiting to see this. Someone actually getting up off their kitten and instead of complaining and crying about how it’s not fair, actually getting their kitten together and becoming efficient.

That’s the thing with gambling. The more you do it does not increase your odds at winning. The odds are the same every time you open a box, not better.

I got a ticket at the same time as I killed my 254th holo-critter. I haven’t been aggressively farming other critters for boxes, but obviously I’ve gotten some that way.
I have no idea what I’m going to do with it. There are a couple of skins that are nice, but I assumed I’d never get one and went on about my business.
Might get the focus. I thought that one was clever.

- In real life, spirits of the wild don’t exist.
- I’m not beating around the bush, i’m choosing to be offended!
- How can I be offended of something about Asia if I’m not Asian? What? Didn’t you state earlier that even you were offended? Are you Asian? Do I need to be asian to get angry about asian things? I’m not Chinese and I’m offended by it.
- And yes, if someone was doing something in public, I could choose whether or not to be offended. Easy. The Chaser’s War on Everything is an excellent show btw. They do crazy stunts in public all the time, and some people decide to go on the warpath about it while others dont care, or get mad about it.
-Where is this petition? I read the thread with the dev response and I don’t recall seeing a ‘petition’ with ‘many’ people. I specifically remember them saying that someone higher up made the decision, of their own volition. Where’s this petition?
- Oh and I can easily interpret the norn as a barbaric and uncivilized race, because my idea of what that is could be considerably different to what yours is. Same as what your idea of negative representation is in regards to cantha could be very different to other’s ideas.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
Cantha was a horrible representation of the Asian culture, more specifically, the Ancient Chinese culture.
I’m not Chinese and I’m offended by it. Ancient Chinese culture is not just about over-crowding, oppressions, gangs, and other bad stuff that the Canthan expansion portrait, which 1/3 of the expansion is centered around these negative stuff. And it took a group of foreigners to liberate the country — oh my.
Yeah Anet’s creative team really did harm with that expansion and you cannot rationalize it. You can see it for yourself.
The rule of a Chinese Dynasty would not be for so long if the culture is all about the negatives like that from the Canthan expansion.
Except it doesn’t ACTUALLY have anything to do with the Chinese because it’s not China, the Chinese Dynasty, nor Asia in any way. It is Cantha with their own history and problems whose developement culturally mimics the chinese, cosmetically.
This is the problem, people get bent out of shape about stuff that isn’t actually a representation of anything, nor meant to be. It’s just a way of adding another human culture into the game world and lore, in such a way that makes sense.
Regardless. Even if it is “based” on the true story and not the “actual” story, it still presents some connection that no one can deny.
Besides, you cannot prevent anyone from being offended. What’s important is, what do you do when you offended someone. Anet’s solution is to sink the whole quarter of Divinity’s Reach.
Sure we lose out on whatever content that it would have given us, but it’s better than having problems along the way.
By that same token I can say that the Norn are the representation of European/celtic culture and should not be included because they could offend someone. The human race.. is representing humanity IRL.. The asuran are the typical nerd stereotype, which I’m sure could offend someone there.. etc etc. God forbid they add Elona because we might end up offending middle eastern cultures along the way as well.
It’s all gotten quite silly, NC Soft are a bunch of looneys.. I thought they were bad back in the Aion days.. I hope A-Net gets their way with Cantha in the future.
You missed the whole point. Not because it is depicted from those cultures but what aspect of that culture did they used. This is not about stereotypes. It’s the misrepresentation of a real life culture.
Even during the time of the Warring States in China, it’s not all about tyranny and oppression and power. Each State wanted peace, but in their own term.
If you watch any of the cultural movies made by those countries — not by Americans — you’ll see that the Western perspective or Asia is corrupted and short-sighted.
All I’m saying is — there was an opportunity where Anet could’ve used the good qualities from the cultures but instead they chose to use the bad qualities.
Everything in Cantha is doom and gloom, so depressing.
I added stereotypes because those tend to offend people as well. However, Celtic culture is pretty obvious in the Norn, and that is/was a real life culture and to me, I see that as a bit mocking, everytime I walk past the lady that says ‘I pray to the spirits of the wild but they rarely answer.’ I chuckle to myself because, well duh, you idiotic norn, it’s because they probably don’t exist..They are all brawn and not particularly smart in comparison to the other races, I could easily see that as a negative representation of Celtic/Paganistic culture. The way I see it, it’s not that content is offensive, it’s that people choose to be offended. Which is why some people are offended and other people are not. My boyfriend for example, is Chinese, and he enjoyed the Canthan campaign the most out of all the GW1 campaigns and thinks it’s ridiculous that it is to be left out of GW2. He does not share other people’s sensitives, even though he is a very politically aware individual.

Well, they did have to remove the canthan quarter from Divinity’s Reach before launch because someone up in higher management at NCsoft decided that Cantha and its oriental themes were too offensive/political or some crap. However, I believe a dev stated at a later date, when everyone found out about it, that it was not out of the question for cantha to return, if the higher up’s changed thier minds, or the individual(s?) who dictated the cutting of Cantha was no longer around. Cantha will not be part of the upcoming expansion though.

I would just like there to be a token that you get after opening 1000 or 2000 chests that you can exchange for the weapons ticket. A light at the end of the tunnel for people with extremely bad luck. -.-
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Having one of these skins gives no prestige at all. Everyone knows its pure luck so it shouldn’t matter how many are out there. The fact that they look pretty cool is why a lot of players want them.
This ^ I just want it cuz it’s pretty, don’t care what anyone thinks. In fact all my friends think they are ugly and dislike them. Screw them though, I like it.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
And the person who opened 1000 and got nothing cares to disagree.
And that person still has a month to go.
But the sad part is not that they make you pay for certain items, but make you gamble for it.
They don’t “make” you do a thing. Every skin is available without paying a dime. The drop rate is lower for the regular coffers, but not by any dramatic percentage by what I’ve seen. If over the course of a month from regular play, with coffers dropping from every mob in the game and the TP price of the coffers steadily dropping, you have yet to get a ticket, that’s the point where I would say that you are incredibly unlucky.
Yeh I cant wait to be grinding this for a full month and possibly still get nothing
2000 down, another 28,000 to go right?
I very seriously doubt that if you open 30,000 coffers that you won’t get a single ticket.
Yeh, grinding out 30,000 chests sounds fair too.

Every so often I see a guildie log in, open up anywhere between 5 and 30 chests and get a ticket, I’ve been farming since the event started with about 4 hours sleep here and there.. not healthy I know, and still no ticket for me.. I see these people log off, go to sleep and then come back on again while I’m still farming and I envy them and their ticket they got in 5 mins lol. I’m at almost 2000 now, I’m hoping eventually I break this no chance bubble I seem to have atm. I think that the chests should also give an account bound token, once you have accumulated 1000 of them you should be able to trade for weapon claim ticket. Just my opinion meh.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I’m here after farming for over 12 hours, I opened in that time, over 1400 coffers and have yet to see 1 ticket. I get this strange feeling that they are exclusive.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
That could just as well have been 328 pristines. Alt click a stack twice “omg, he has 2 stacks!”…
Not saying 328 isn’t ‘impressive’ either, just saying it’s not necessarily 578.
haha that is true XD
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Just form a party and co-operate instead of complaining. It worked fine for me to do that and nicely asking ppl to wait a couple of seconds before interacting with the holograms…
That doesn’t work with warriors camped on each one. The knockback might work who knows the mobs die to one spin/100b.
The way they implemented it doesn’t make much sense. The only good thing is that it’s inefficient to farm the dragon coffers that way, so it’s for the achievement only. I’m pretty sure throughout the month there will be an event where we have to kill those, and if not it’s a month to do it. Plenty of time.
Just curious, if this is ‘inefficient’ way to farm D-coffers, then what alternative is there at the moment? Been farming these things for hours, got around 1000 then took a break.. still no wep ticket XD I feel bad because I am running a zerker war with speed buffs up the kitten and run through all the icons on the map before other people get to them, I see people come, try and then leave because they cannot compete. I hate that I have to resort to that, but it’s what’s working atm.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
75 Rich Dragon Coffers. Not a single ticket. Never again. I feel cheated after they went on about a “much higher chance” to get the tickets with these…
Would be nice to know how much of a ‘higher chance’ those chests provide, especially when people are spending real money on them. I was tempted to buy some till I heard they were just as barren as the regulars for many people.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
please stop this
NOBODY did 1000 fractal dailies….
and nobody did 300 runs while not having at least 10 skins….
Do not spread disinformations/urban legends…..
Do your math and you will see that doing 1000 dailies means farming fotm something like 3-4 times a day since release
Its more than a work.
And 5-8 rares are nothing worthy you can do the same by farming open pve and stuff.
About a month or so ago, I did see a guy in my party who pinged 578 pristines, I didn’t know whether to be impressed or severely depressed. Some people are srsly crazy o-o
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I was under the impression that endgame was about the aesthetics of you character since there isn’t much else to achieve. The biggest investments (time/money/effort) in the game are the legendaries and high-end mystic forge weapons which are purely aesthetic endgame goals. As the living story rolls on, there is hardly any new gameplay content being added and yet the weapons skins are always a big deal to a lot of the community since they stick around and enhance players’ level 80 toons. It just sucks that you can’t have any set, realistic expectations about getting any of the new aesthetic endgame content when it’s acquisition revolves around gambling or an indefinitely long grind without any guarantee of progress or success.
I am of this opinion as well. Also, I imagine that if there were more skins (alot more) in the game for people to work towards, the skins offered at these events would not be so highly sought after. Everyone wants to customize and be unique, but it’s hard when you have such limited options atm.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
You do know that you can get the skins from Dragon Coffers that drops from every single thing in the whole world right?
And rather frequently as well.frequently?
have been reading the forums. I’ve not been keeping count but I’ve opened hundreds, and no ticket.People have opened thousands and no ticket….
I just hit the 1000 mark for opened coffers, been farming like crazy since event kicked off. still not 1 claim ticket, and from the countless holo’s I’ve smashed, no wings either. Meanwhile, someone in my guild logs in, opens 5 coffers and gets two tickets.. fml.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Oh and just the other day I had a coe run, u know, the 3 war, 1 mes, 1 guard type. I went on my war. The guardian that came was running scepter shield and never swapped sets, he didn’t touch his virtues, and he provided no condi removal, no aegises. In his case, I would have preferred another warrior.
This doesn’t really make any sense outside of CoF because I’ve seen warriors that would make your skin crawl just about as much as that scepter guardian when it comes to pugging dungeons like CoE. That’s why I almost never pug something like that now and will almost only do guild runs.
Look at this screenshot :
http://i.imgur.com/MtbsNZi.jpgThis was my last pugged CoE (names censored). I don’t think I need to put it in words for you to understand exactly what went wrong. I had never seen a group with such a low level of dps. I was cursing myself for choosing to pug on my mesmer, because even with the right build and in full berserker I could barely make a worthwhile contribution compared to my zerk warrior or zerk guardian. It took forever to kill the destroyer in path 3, and not because anyone missed a jump but because the dps was that bad, despite the group having 3 warriors, but all three warriors were of the worst kind.
Needless to say, after the first trash fight I didn’t even bother switching feedback to nullfield. This group had so much “support” that you could kill mob from boredom. The most obvious one is the guy with sword axe. Did he use Axe 5 ? Yes, yes he did. And he was condition built.
Do I prefer another warrior ? I prefer not pugging altogether. I want at least one person I know in the group, that gives me the assurance that I can, and will, kick anyone who doesn’t even remotely perform decently. I didn’t say perfectly, but decently.
Warriors with guardian envy syndrome are much worse than guardians.
yeh Ive seen bad warriors too… thing is, when pugging, warriors have one job, dps, and most pugs can achieve that to an acceptable degree. Which I think is why COF P1 farm is so popular, it’s easy and brainless. With guardian.. for some.. reason.. so many of them are just not playing the class correctly, and in that case I’d prefer they just got on their warrior and do the mindless dps role. I prefer not pugging, but when I do, I’d rather just take my guard than let someone else do it. Like I said, you are correct, a good guardian is more important than a good mesmer or good warrior, however, I feel that a bad guardian is not worth taking at all.
And good god.. That screenshot is ghastly.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
Of course Nikaido, it def makes my life easier with a second guardian that knows what to do, but when they don’t, when they are complete idiots that don’t even know what a bloody aegis is, I’d rather not have them at all. Biggest problem for me atm is I’m comming across more and more of these clueless guardians who don’t cooperate and if you suggest to them (politely) to use their virtues or use SOA/WOR in time, they either get kitten ed off at me or they ignore me -.- and at 48.. it’s frustrating as hell.

Don’t get me wrong, I love when I get a good guardian in the group, I just hate with a passion when I get a really bad one, and I’m tired of people thinking just because they have any old guardian, it’s gonna be an easy run, when in fact alot of these guards are awful -.-

no no no it’s totally ok everyone they haven’t abandoned dungeons
(Q:) Will we be getting more dungeons?
(A:) We will be continuing to work on our dungeons.
(Q:) (Follow-up) Old ones…or new ones?
(A:) Both!
I’m more concerned about when, but I suppose they cant tell us, because as they have stated in the past, they don’t want to disappoint if they cant make the date they give us. But with all this living story focus it feels like it’s gonna be a long time T_T
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Then i don’t know what to tell you a ranger in full berserk is going to do a good enough amount of damage i don’t mind rangers in my group. still warrior is best its what i use.
Of course, I too, run my ranger in full zerker in dungeons and it’s just about acceptable. It passes. But you see, when it comes to maxxing out, to do runs the fastest and most efficiently, you simply cannot do it with ranger. This then has resulted in a stigma in the community, because let’s face it, the class is subpar, and as a result requires a skilled player just to make it reach an acceptable level. Most pugs are pretty horrible in this area. it doesn’t take a particularly smart person to roll a warrior with high base health, put a zerker set on it and press hundred blades every time it’s up and still be effective. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen an idiot ranger sitting in the back with his shortbow auto attack and his bear pet, drives me insane and certainly makes me anxious when I see a ranger join party.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I feel you. And the worst thing is everyone is relying on the guards, honestly I dont understand those groups with 2 guards mandatory, one of my smoothest runs lately was 1 warr / 2 rangers / 1 nec / 1guard (after plenty guards left when they saw our composition lol). I just want to cry when I see people getting hit by every second arrow by shaman on 48. Actually this game is all about dodging and every class can do that.
I find it easier when it’s just me guarding too, it means I don’t have to rely on some idiot who cant play his class and is a dead weight. When it’s a bad guardian it feels like a 4 man team, so I’d prefer just me + 4 high deeps. By the time i’ve run through all my cool downs the kitten is dead and we are moving on, vs hoping the guy uses his after mine in a fight that takes longer due to his lesser damage. This is pretty much the case in all dungeons outide of fotm, and in most of them guard not even needed at all with a decent team, so when there’re more than one I get irksome.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
To the “omg ranger sucks” guys. This is my ranger spirit guidance in tournament. The team i was in was a pug group we had no strategy at all. The ones we were fighting was a organized team all from the same guild. And guess what we won i didn’t even die. we had 2 so called underpowered rangers and dominated them. Now this is something to think about. All classes can do well when played right.
Posts a screenshot about pvp in Dungeons thread.
Because pvp takes more skill. you could do any dungeon with 5 rangers or 5 necros it wont go as fast kitten war but bringing a ranger wont hurt thats the point.
This has nothing to do with ranger’s viability in dungeons. nothing
I destroy people with my ranger spvp, but it drags down the team in dungeons vs me playing any other class. It’s that simple. spvp and dungeons are two entirely different things.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Tip my immaterial hat to you kind sir / m’am. Read most of it. Agree with most of it too.
And though, i have no really better idea… i would not go with equipment in order to progress in those dungeons. Or add a special slot to the hero tab to equip such a piece. Said piece can get better and better with “resistance” as further you go in the dungeon and kill bosses. If it were the full equipment… it’s gonna end up like wow (vanilla) where you’ll have normal set, fire resistant set, cold resistant set, nature resistant set… just gonna be a pain in our proverbial backside to have those items on us all the time ^^
Regarding the Lupi fight, going random would not impact the fight in the least bit for those of us who melee him the whole way. But the added skills to the AGL would be really fun
I’d hope any dev being from this game or other could take some ideas out of this.
Thanks again
Any time.
In regards to Resistances, I do remember the olden days of carrying assorted elemental resistance sets. Having to bring a hybrid nature/water resist set to tank that one elemental boss in Serpentshrine Caverns back in the day was a pain in the butt, but I managed. If anything, I would say that instead of an equipment slot that eats up bag space, it could be activated with the use of a Title, similar to the stat-based titles in GW1.
I suppose another alternative would be to craft assorted “keys” to progress deeper into the dungeon. These may be permanent keys or one time keys. The materials required to build these keys would drop off the trash monsters in that dungeon and found as random items on the floor. For convenience sake, crafting stations would be available near a particular gate to “hint” people in wondering why a crafting station is found in the middle of a raid dungeon. With a large enough raid group, you’re bound to have at least one person in the party to have Level 400 skill in that particular crafting discipline.
love love love this idea
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Why would you forward this thread of all threads… This thread doesn’t talk about the dungeons or any problems that need changing. All it talks about is how the devs clearly don’t care about the dungeons anymore which is proven by their lack of communication and lack of dungeon improvement patches.
I can see it now..
CC:
‘Attention developers, it has come to my knowledge that there is a thread on the forums where the dungeon peasants have gained somewhat awareness of our lack of care. Given time, these lowly cretins could gain intelligence and we could have a riot on our hands. Q_Q’s could be thrown left right and centerfold, the rangers will threaten to leave the game, The ‘giganticus lupicus is too hard’ threads will implode, the ‘Everybody is a leetist who doesn’t agree with me!’ champions will be up in arms. People will be in their droves kicking up a mighty fuss for the current state of fractal weapon skin drops and every so often, a lone soldier dies, smashing his head on the keyboard in angst trying to get COF P1 farm nerfed. Something has to be done. Someone must address the unwashed masses.’
Dev: ‘Living story is important. But we care. We do.’
CC: ‘Thanks man, I’ll let them know.’

Did another 48 run last night, didn’t get anything, no ring of skin. That’s my SEVENTEENTH TIME IN A ROW that I didn’t get anything, from fractals 48. Yes, RNG is absolute bollocks.
Thank god I still have the blues/greenies from the chests!
Perhaps that’s what really needs doing. Instead of upping skin drop rate, the dungeon itself should be actually worth doing, even if you don’t get a skin/ring. They nerfed the loot tables in there WAY too hard. If you’re not after a skin/got ur fotm bags, or already have the skin you want, there’s no reason to go in there. If the skin RNG doesnt favor you, you stand to lose a really big portion of your time for poor rewards.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-

People who attain things through luck, ruin the prestigious nature of the skins, which is why when people see someone with a fotm skin they dont say ‘oh wow they must have done alot of fotm..’ no, they say ‘welp, that guy got lucky.’ and the same can be said of legendarily too, people assume you got lucky.
This is the message I’ve been trying to get across as well.
There is nothing prestigious about grinding for a Fractal skin. Having the skin you want means you were either really lucky or you have a lot of patience.
The fact that weapons drop at lvl 20’s (even if it’s so rare) means they have little prestige to begin with tbh…
I’d personally remove weapons from <30’s all together.
I agree with this, fotm skins should be at least 30’s I would even go do far as to say 38+

thus 4 weapons in forge is perfect.
Its impossible for lucky players
Its easy in a small amount of time for experienced fotm runners……But i ll tell you last thing…
Nowaday 48 is full of players that got there brought by strong teams….
They wipe every single shaman and stuff….They should not be at 48 and for sure they don t drop many skins…..
But if you give tickets any player will manage to be brought to 48 and get easy skins….And today if you see a player with 1 skin you think “may be luck”….
But if you see one with Whole set?
A whole set could just be more luck. I’d just like it be completely hard work and no rng at all. I have a full set of fotm weps on my ele, and they were easy to get, I literally got all her weps in the span of about 15 runs thanks to RNG. And yet the real weapon that I want, the greatsword, has never dropped. I feel that giving someone the choice of the skin they want should be enough, they should not have to go through RNG 4 times over to get a skin that someone else may have gotten on their first fotm 20 run.

I think Anet once said that they do not want any targeted heals (why? I don’t know)
But apart from that, it would be a nice change, since nobody uses Water #1 to damage things anyway, and it might as well do something useful.
Why? Unique snowflake syndrome.

Obviously the precursor. But why not have both methods? The precursor attainability atm is ridiculous, and so is the fotm skin issue.
finally!!!
now read gw2 manifesto and we are done…..
In few words they told if a players wants to invest thousands hours in a SKIN or aesthetic item IS FINE.But higher tiers should ve been easily available.
So don t ask the opposite… they ruined this game enough already.
(and fotm weapons won t never officially be anything but a skin)
I’m not saying take out the thousands of hours of work.. I’m saying take out the RNG factor… Everyone should have to work the same amount of time.

What I don’t understand is people who argue that it should stay because they did it in an unreasonable situation. Having done an unreasonable thing doesn’t mean you should petition that it stays unreasonable. There’s prestige and then there’s bad mechanics. I believe this is just a bad mechanic.
For reference, I was just using Speargun/Mace as examples that fewer weapons people want. Underwater weapons are less wanted, and Maces are only able to be used by 2/8 professions.
as i said tell this to legendary owners….
A fotm skin drop is something like 23% at 48
Its reasonable. While precursors are mostly obtained by luck and market abuse.
Same for exotic minis like chicken zombie and mini jack a loopIF you really thougt there is an issue with fotm skins you would be talking of precursors and LEGENDARY TIER (see november announcement) and not of rare SKINS that requires a little amount of dedication (23%) rather than brainless farming* and TP abuse…..
- referring to cof, and stuff like those….
Give a 4 weapons for 1 ticket recipe in MF and i m fine….
I have 2 legendaries. I find the fotm skin rate to be unreasonable. I actually finished one of my legendaries in less time than it took to get the fotm skin that I wanted.. (which I still don’t have).
Oh.. and I didn’t abuse the trading post, nor was I ‘lucky’.. I just grinded it out in dungeons 12 hours p/day. I know alotta people in the same boat. To them I say, don’t waste your time, just make another legendary.I like the ticket idea, I’ve gotten quite a few skins, just not the ones I want. To me, if you are going to make the kind of weapon drop completely random, then the drop rate should be higher so people actually have a chance of getting the skin they really want. I don’t like this idea much, because fotm weapons are supposed to be prestigious, so i think that tickets with the current rate would be better. This is why I prefer to make a legendary, because I can decide on the weapon type I am getting.
exactly what i was saying <.<
You grinded for legendaries i grinded for fotm skins..
I can’t pay for even half a precursor…….because i’ve chosen to go for a worthless skin…
While your weapon will be BiS forever….And you want to take away even that….
I ll try again:
what about an easy method that gives you a ticketto get a fotm skin OR a precursor of your choice?
I bet you wouldn t like it….
Yet it would be fair because fotm is a skin and legendary is a TIER.
Obviously the precursor. But why not have both methods? The precursor attainability atm is ridiculous, and so is the fotm skin issue. A ticket for a fotm skin ( after x amount of runs), a scavenger hunt for a precursor. I’m not asking for an easy method to attain fotm skins or precursors, I am asking for a fair method. After doing countless 48’s with nothing that I wanted to show for it, I do not call that fair, while someone else gets the skin they wanted on their first fotm 20 daily. Nor is it fair that someone who’s got rng lucky in the MF or plays TP and has money up the ears can get their precursor in 2 minutes when I have to slog it for weeks or months. There has to be something implemented that removes the RNG factor for those who have worked their kitten off.

Why nerf rangers when they can be PWNed 9 out of 10 times ?
People don’t know how to kite pets and then they cry about it. Me’thinks they are all hotfix players.

It was super effective.

I think the real issue w/ hard contents is there is no definitive prestigious rewards in GW2 at all. Everyone who played GW2 could get carried by others and get the same or better rewards than those who grind through it daily. The only way to fix this problem is creating a new title or rewards by just modifying the old requirements a bit like:
1) Super Grinder Dungeon Master: Require 25 runs per each explored path per dungeon. Every Dungeon Master starts afresh.
2) Super Grinder Fractal Skins: Pulsating Crimson Color Skins: 1 ticket per 25 fractal level 48 completed. The ticket can be redeemed for random Super Grinder Fractal Skin or along with 25 pristines + 750 fractal relics + 50 ectos for a Super Grinder Fractal Skin of your choice.I just propose the ideas. The required quantity could be changed to fit. Now everybody can get what they wanted. To get a prestigious reward, you just have to grind the kittenes a bit more.
Go one step further, have ranks, like 25 runs, then 50, 100, 500, 1000 so on..
Each rank has unique skin set and etc.
