Path 2: Belka does not turn hostile.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
The real reason is that many (not all) people exploit for the simple reason that this dungeon is long, and not worth the reward. The Hp’s of the bosses make the fights long and boring, with not much thought processing required. Remove the exploits by all means, but in the same stroke, reduce the HP’s of the bosses and trash and add more interesting/harder fight mechanics.
Every time you fix an exploit, people will go out of their way to find another, and many of them are motivated simply because they feel they are not rewarded enough for the time they put in.

This boss is less about damage and more about strategy.
Actually thats wrong, the boss is all about damage and nearly no strategy, at least for now.
When we did Simin we simply took as offensive builds as possible, we had mesmer, condition necro, condition thief, me(ranger) and a full berserker warrior. We dps’ed Simin down before she could disappear (after the first disapear at 50%).
There was definitely little strategy involved, we just had to bring the highest dps possible.
well I can tell you that every time I have done it, we had a set strategy and didn’t care for DPS. We coordinated everything in Vent and had the necro poison when necessary. We usually run tanky setups. Yes, the sparks are a little glitchy, but there is a way to counter this. We have two people with specific jobs, and have the boss taken away from the sparks. Anyone who takes spark agro leads them back to the statue/thing in the middle and runs around it in a clockwise rotation until all sparks are in place. even if the spark misses, if everyone who has a spark on them runs in the same direction, they go in fast. Another thing we do is to put in only 4 sparks first and leave the last one. So that for the next time, only one spark is needed to be kited in.

A: No.
It’s pretty much once a day for each tier:
Example:
The ‘10 to 20’ tier- Only one even number in that tier awards the chest per day.
The ‘20 to 30’ tier- Only one even number in that tier awards the chest per day.
So what you commonly see is people doing this:
10 then 20 then 30 in one day.

kholer takes like 5 mins to kill, even with pugs. His attack is telegraphed for ages. He holds his sword above his head and charges it up, giving people plenty of time to hit dodge. Not only this, but many classes have extra skills to counter it. Feedback, shield of the avenger, aegis, any form of block skill. Even when I take people who have no idea what’s going on, takes me like 30 seconds to explain to them and they are fine.
This fight is not hard.
People who want to skip it because it’s ‘too hard.’:
You are basically telling me right then and there, that the rest of this dungeon is going to feel like pulling teeth. I honestly think colossus is harder simply because there are less skills to counter his special if you (once again) fail to avoid it.
People who want to skip it to save time-
How much time are you really saving?
You also get a shot at a rare.. yes, that chest has rares in it.. rares that can be turned into ectos..I’d happily take that gamble for 5 mins worth of work… in fact it can be done in even less. and it spawns a waypoint which you can then use to save yourself running back up through the fire on the Hodgins path.
People who want to Troll vs. Kholer: I don’t need to explain why that’s just stupid.
The way I see it: At least give it a try, just go in and see. if your team for whatever reason cant take it.. just WP and skip.. but at least give it a go, you may be surprised by how quick and easy it is.
By all means if people want to skip it go ahead..but what I tire of is forming up a dungeon group, taking the time to get people and going in.. and then getting yelled at for wanting to do kholer. I never tell people I’m skipping, but they just assume I am and get mad when I dont. I now have to tell people before going in that I’m not skipping him.. and half of them leave which I think is a real pity considering my runs are always very fast.
I feel like alot of people I take in there who want to skip have bad memories from the launch days when they were on thier 35’s in trash gear and had no idea what the attacks did. That’s perfectly fine, but I advise you give it another go now, it’s much easier.

There’s a reason people exploit- it’s because the dungeon has bugs that halt progression.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I think it’d be nice if new paths were made in each dungeon that let you transform any associated dungeon exotics into ascended gear.
Since ascended gear is planned to be made more accessible outside of flavor of the month, you can make some kind of weird story about how the essence of the fractals or whatever are spilling out of the gate and taking affect all around Tyria (and hence the dungeon changes). This would let you bridge the gap that people are worried about when it comes to fotm rendering other dungeons useless and old hard earned armors pointless.
I agree with this. I would also love to see new gear versions for each dungeon.
As an example:
Twilight arbor:
Exotic set – awesome skin, costs like 1k+tokens
Ascended Set- Super amazing wtf!?! skin, costs like 5k tokens.
OR
Add Hard Mode options to each dungeon:
Hard mode rewards a set of unique tokens used to trade for ascended grade gear with their omgwtfamazing skins.
Some dungeons I feel have some pretty boring skins, for example Ascalon Catacombs.. and this dungeon is widely considered the easiest.
Why not add a hard mode option and have some amazing skins offered for completing it?
You can do so much with this dungeon, and the higher tier skins.. Imagine making them glowy at night like the weapons?! :O
As it stands, alot of people who would usually do dungeons, now don’t because they already have their exotic sets, and all the skins they want.. They need a new tier to strive for, and with their exotic set already out of the way, they are all set up and ready to go for hard mode.

Try posting an ad there as well.
It is also easier to get people in LA than outside the dungeon. You tend to get better quality players this way also.
-Tokens are account bound, so feel free to do on another character.
-Guardian is an excellent class for all dungeons.
-You don’t need a cleric’s set for guardian. I run toughness/vita/power set with soldier’s runes and all shouts build.
-This Armor set is very easy to obtain, just do a bunch of AC runs. Pop your soldiers runes over the top. If you cant afford soldiers.. the monk’s runes that the gear comes with will also suffice.
- Something extra:
Precision accessories + empowering might trait. Run a Greatsword. Pull mobs together, Aoe for many crits. Use crits to buff team with stacks of might. Switch sceptre/focus pop your shield that has 3 blocks if your in the kitten, and back out. Your sceptre is then important for ranged DPS and immobilizing stray targets for your next pull.

I have done up to level 31 with no agony resist. Once at that level it can be annoying. You cannot go an entire run at that level and not get hit by agony at least once. There’s always that wtf just happened moment… and that becomes annoying. So I’ve decided to just sit on level 30 and do the daily till I get something good, haven’t had any luck so far.
I would much prefer that the rings be made available with tokens also, some people just have rotten RNG, I know someone who’s been at it since it came out and still has no rings to show for it. They do however have stacks of tokens just sitting there… It must be mighty depressing.
Harp on about L2play all you want, but learning to play has no affect on Random Number Generation. Even if you feel you don’t need them, I’m sure you still want them, I’m sure you would be pretty annoyed if you had done 15 dailies and still had no rings to show for it. Hell if everyone just learned to play, they may as well just delete their rings when they receive them.
just a note: Make sure you do fractal level10, 20 and 30 per day. This will give you 3 chances of the ring every day. It’s still a poopy system, but hopefully it’ll cut down on the time before you get a ring.
Oh yes I have been, I’ve just not been very lucky >_<

What kind of lodestones are you chasing?
I’m not sure if you know about this but the Fractals of the mist (FotM) dungeon drops a reasonable amount of random cores (and I’ve even gotten 2 lodestones from there now too).
Using the Mystic Forge in LA – you can upgrade cores to lodestones with this simple recipe:
- 2 x Cores (The core type must be of the same lodestone type that you want. Example of this is 2 x Molten Cores for 1 x Molten Lodestone, 2 x Glacial Cores for 1 Glacial Lodestone etc.)
- 1 x Pile of Crystalline Dust
- 1 x Crystal (from Miyani next to the Mystic Forge)
- 1 x Bottle of Elonian wine (also from Miyani in a seperate tab)
Place those items into the mystic forge and forge it. You can get your lodestones this way too. Good luck.
^ If you are after charged lodestones, this technique will save you alotta money right now.

Where’s your NPC?
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Having ranged capability is a matter of versatility, and imo it’s a pretty basic one that can be achieved by all classes. You should invest in one for the future. Lesson learnt.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I will not give out any secrets as you know, it WILL affect my profit margins directly if I was to blurt something out about how I make money. It is not flipping, I can tell you that.
The way Anet ‘fixed’ the godskull ‘exploit’ was to nerf the overall drop rate of ALL methods of getting a precursor. They only reacted to the out cry of the masses. Most got their info from ‘word of mouth’ which is basically like a rumor mill and things get mixed up and misunderstood.
From the information I gathered, people used to get 8 precursors per 1000 rare weapons into the mystic forge. After the godskull ‘fix’ it went to 2 precursors per 1200 rare weapons into the mystic forge. These were tests before/after this fix withOUT the use of godskull rares. This was pointed out in various threads thru out this forum yet people still misunderstand the information in front of their faces.
Also, just because they say level 80 exotics gives the highest chance for precursors, does not mean that it has a more higher chance than using 4 level 78 exotics or 2 level 65 exotics + 2 level 80 exotics. They only say it has a higher chance because the outcome is always level 80 exotics. The percentage is always the same with any combination of exotics, as long as it produces a level 80 exotic.
According to Linsey on this very thread they did NOT make any across the board changes and there WERE recipes that granted a higher chance of obtaining a precursor. No offense but I think I preffer to believe an Anet dev.
Now, you say you’re making 30g per 2 hours. That’s quite an accomplishment, but of course you can’t reveal your secret or it wouldn’t work anymore. This makes me think it’s still somehow TP related and you don’t want to increase supply. It’s all well and good but I don’t see why you’re using this fact as some kind of anecdote as to why gold is easy to make.
You are NOT the standard and legendaries should NOT be adjusted to you. Any dev with good sense will look at how much a normal dedicated person can earn instead of someone using a gimmick. Anet will always look at standard play to base their decisions off and nobody imo can make 30g every hour through standard play.
Even if you say legendaries need to remain exclusive this is a dumb way to promote it. Money making gimmicks are a stupid way to judge who’s worthy of being legendary.
I agree with this.
I have 1074 hours logged as of now and I can tell you the most I make (really pushing it) is around 2-3 gold an hour.

The real issue here:
Orr farming = more profit than dungeons.
Fix?: Put dungeons on par with the kinds of profits people make from Orr farming.
This way: Get people out of grinding the same event over and over and this gives them another option. I don’t want to farm Orr, I would much rather be in a dungeon, but because Orr makes me more money for my time, I’m unfortunately stuck there.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Well, as it is, I was in the same boat. I kept telling myself as I was leveling my ranger that things would only get better. Then they nerf the shortbow. Then they reassure us a fix is coming. It doesn’t. Then they reassure us another fix is coming, it doesn’t again. I don’t want to be the debby downer here but I want to save you the disappointment I went through – Quit while you’re ahead, make a warrior or guardian or thief.. or well, anything, just make anything else.
I know retraining isn’t appealing, but you are gonna save yourself alot of stress later on, and be a much more productive member of the team on another class in dungeons.
If there’s one thing we have learnt today it’s that A-net cannot be taken up on their promises, there are more changes coming, but who’s to say they will be any better than what we just saw today?
They have no intentions, I might add, to fix the attack speed nerf of the shortbow, so if you’re a fan of that you may as well toss it out the window… depressing I know, I invested 30G into a corrupted shortbow for my ranger which is now a joke.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
(edited by swiftpaw.6397)
Short term fix for shortbow would make me willing to at least play my ranger again until there’s a fix. At this point I’m not even touching it.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
If I hadn’t wasted my time and money on decking out the ranger in full TA set and a corrupted shortbow, I would delete it for an extra character space.
It’s depressing logging onto my ranger, taking her for a spin in a dungeon or PvP and being severely disappointed every time, then running off to my guardian which is way more productive in both situations.
Whenever I want to do a dungeon on the ranger people ask if I can please take one of my alts instead, anything but the dreaded ranger -_-. It’s understandable too, normally I’d be like no, wtf, I’m playing this class. But now I’m like yeh, I really should.. it’s not fair on you guys. The ranger really doesn’t put much on the table for group situations in dungeons at all. healing spring ( big deal, really..) and some protection grant on successful dodge doesn’t really cut it, especially when you are single target DPS in most situations unless you can edge around and line things up for piercing arrows.. even then, you know if the warrior in the party saw your numbers they would laugh… hell even a necro would.
Omg heys guys I have fear from my pet! Crowd control! … My pet that refuses to stay stowed half the time and pulls everything even when set to avoid combat.. It’s a crowd pleaser for sure. Wait wait, ‘Search and rescue!’ guys! I’ll save you!‘.. said no one.. ever.
Spirit of nature’s Renewal! wait, nvm, you forgot to get downed right on top of it.. and nvm now it’s dead from getting 2 hit. I could really go on forever here..
If this is your main character, this class right here, I am so sorry for you, I’m glad I didn’t invest any more time in my ranger than what I have, and I can imagine if I had treated it as my main, I would have quit the game by now.
These changes are taking way too long, it’s been months and when they nerfed the shortbow ( one of the only avenues for decent damage) they should been prepared to compensate for that, but they didn’t, they dragged it out with reassurances and promises that still haven’t been fulfilled.
How long can they expect people to play a broken class? They must really expect people to have made alts by now and not bother with ranger until the real fixes are addressed.
Really, the short term solution would be to un-nerf the shortbow Skill 1 until you get your kitten together and can fix the class.. But we all know that’s not going to happen.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
For being pressed on time, they sure spent alot of time buffing up other classes. Guess they needed changes more than the rangers did. Those poor warriors and elementalists, they were having a much tougher time guys, have a heart.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Right now I am having to spam 1 over and over to have it to stay on target…it will stop firing altogether at times and i have to spam 1 especially when i pop Quickening Zephyr
And how are we not suppose to spam 1 when all the other skills are on their overly long recharges?
I get this problem on my ranger, especially when I am at max range because I have the trait that allows me to shot further. It’s as if the bow doesn’t recognize that the target is in range so the auto attack stops firing and I have to manually shoot, arrow after painful arrow. This class… I wish I never wasted my time.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
Trolled again, guess my lvl 80 ranger will never get played on.. back to the guardian it is.. wish I hadn’t wasted my time.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I love Tengu. That city is decked out already but they have it locked off.
My speculation- An expansion with Tengu as playable race sometime in the future!
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
If you cared about what a player does relative to their maximum, you wouldn’t care about their MF, because it doesn’t contribute, you would care about everything else because that is what you need to find out if their build actually works or is just a mess. The only conclusion is you don’t actually care, you just have a crusade to wage.
No crusade to wage here, just letting people know that 3 stats are better than 2.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
As I said, you have a case in the ideal world. Lets look at some real world exampels and how they fit into your mold. (italicized terms are anonymized-but-accurate)
I used to play a MMO with a ranger that would always get high right before a dungeon. This impaired his reflexes, severely enough that everyone noticed. He wore top-shelf gear. Clearly his attitude was off but he flies under your proposed radar. the onyl way to catch this type of person is to see them in action, which is exactly when you would catch somebody offering sub-par performance in MF gear, if they were in fact performing sub-par.
A relative of mine plays GW2 and, despite being 80, wears, at best, low-70s blues. His chestpiece is a mid-70s white, transmuted to match his other armor, with a rare rune in it—the only rune of any rarity he has. Just putting him in a group drops their effectiveness considerably. He tries hard to do well, but is so used to failure because he adamantly refuses to change his gear to something better, and he can’t farm level-appropriate areas because he has let it go for too long. You won’t hear me say he doesn’t try, but MF gear would be an improvement for him. If I spotted him a set and he put it on (he needs the money for repairs just trying regular open-world content), you would exclude him not because he is borderline inept, but because he is wearing gear that is better than anything he had been wearing to-date that is no the best he could have.
There are people that have never done the content before, or have never done it on the class they are playing. They are willing to try hard, but you’re not willing to take them because they don’t meet your “experienced dungeoneer” threshold. Who is willing to try harder? You’re consciously putting completion time ahead of other people, and that is greedy.
Your test does not achieve your stated objectives, therefore it should be rejected. You have both false positives and false negatives with real-world examples.
It’s almost as if I’m talking in another language..

‘Ineptitude is far more of a liability than stats. You know this. I know you do, you’re too smart not to.’
Hey you stabbed someone.. but you know what would have been worse? If you killed them. So it’s ok.
No. That’s just not how it works for me. You have the capacity not to take the MF to begin with and be even better. You take magic find, likelihood of bad player increases. Not everyone who wears magic find is bad. We know this. But there sure is a higher chance they will be when you are taking someone you don’t know. The only argument here is this:
-Same player-
-same scenario-
-Two different gear sets-One set Magic Find
One set three stats that contribute towards performance. The played does better in the set with the thee stats. In many cases the set with the three stats compensates for the player’s ineptitude at playing the game.
This is not hard.
If I can contribute more in my magic find gear than you can in your 3-stat gear, I am not the one that is screwing the party over. Yes, I could make the run go better for everybody, but I can handicap my own performance and still outperform you and everybody else (in theory). Don’t I deserve a little something for working harder and getting more done?
I get that you hate people that wear MF gear. I understand that. I undertand you have a bone to pick because somebody did something that screwed you over once. You’re looking at the wrong group—you’kittengeting the wrong aspect of play. You should be looking for a way to effetively combat people that don’t contribute to groups, as opposed to people that are contributing less than their theoretical maximum but potentially more than anybody else. You cannot claim that these people, even hindered by sub-par stat choice, are necessarily worse than anyone else.
The fact that you akittengeting magic find, and magic find alone tells me you don’t actually care about creating objective assessments of your potential group mates, you just care about being holier-than-thou.
Omg it’s as if you don’t even read what I am saying.
*MY ONLY ARGUMENT IS THAT MAGIC FIND IS ONE STAT LESS WHICH = LESS PERFORMANCE ON THE SAME PLAYER. *
Oh the horror.
kitten that’s so hard to understand.
You then jump to assumptions.
You want to slack off in your teams, go ahead, but its not going to be my team, and dont spread all this crap around about Magic find sets being the same effectiveness as a set with 3 viable stats, because they aren’t. You cant argue around that, all you do is turn it into a personal attack on anyone who understands that. It’s a simple thing.
3 stats are better than 2. 3 stats are better than 2. 3 stats are better than 2. 3 stats are better than 2. 3 stats are better than 2. 3 stats are better than 2. 3 stats are better than 2. 3 stats are better than 2.
Not. Hard. To. Understand.
Had the 3 people in my CoE team decided to wear 3 stat sets, it would not have been anywhere near as painful. They would have had another stat to help keep them up.
These people in CoE, I’m sure they thought the same, they thought they deserved more for being ‘smart’ and wearing magic find. But who pays the price? The people who do the right thing, the people who do everything they can to make the dungeon run smoothly. They lose out.
You call this a one time event, I have done many many dungeons and trust me, I have yet to see a single person in a magic find set do equal or better than what they could be doing in a 3 stat set. I have however seen train wreck after train wreck of people who think they are so amazing that they don’t need a 3rd stat, who think they ‘deserve a little extra.’ At the expense of others.
You aren’t this amazing player that everyone aspires to be. You are a person who can survive in a magic find set and not drag the team down. wow. That must mean everyone can do that. No, they get the bad idea from you and then go and ruin my dungeon runs.
Yep I’m the horrible person. For telling people, that 2 stats are not as good as 3. I’m just a horrible elitist for telling people what common sense should have figured out, but is destroyed by people like you.

You can effectively leech and do nothing and get the exp, since at under the required level you cant really hit kitten. Don’t expect people to take you though, unless they’re overly affectionate guildies lol.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
I’d somewhat understand mf in some dungeons if chests were affected – getting potentially more lodestones and specific skin rares might be not that bad. But as it is now, it’s not only silly, but also shows greed – something inherently bad in any human culture out there. It becomes a matter of principle, too – others are bringing everything they can to the table, even if it means less experience and general skill than you, and you run mf gear which only – potentially! – benefits you, while dragging the party performance down. GW2’s greed in its worst.
Now, i don’t pug but mainly because of people who can’t dodge, use 10 levels too weak fine equipment or just refuse to cooperate. Running mf is really far on my why-not-to-pug list.
True. Ive seen alot worse in my pugging days, especially gear-wise.
My guild recently has stopped playing so I’ve had to start taking full pug groups and it can be very frustrating when they don’t cooperate.
-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-
See, magic find is a glass cannon setup – well, let’s say glass gun. If you can run a glassy build and not die, by not running a proper glass cannon you are making the run slower, essentially wasting your own time as well, as you could get those tokens faster.
With all your knowledge, experience and ability to coordinate with people and not die without those extra hp/armor bits, you could dish out much more damage than you do using mf in the major stat slot.
And this exactly means dragging the general performance down. Not wiping, dying all the time or whatever – but consciously and willingly making the run slower than it could be, even for yourself. It gets even more so silly now that we know that mf doesn’t work with chests. We don’t kill that many mobs in dungeons to make mf worth it even for the user, especially when compared to doing the run faster, aka making just a bit less money – or the same, as mf is still rng – but doing it considerably faster. This means more time for other dungeons, aka more cash and tokens in the long run.
It probably doesn’t affect you much if you run only one route per sitting – 10 extra minutes don’t make a difference then. However if you do all the routes, wasting extra 30+ minutes total because two people run mf instead of berserker (if they’re so super awesome with glassy builds indeed), is outright silly.
Doesn’t matter what we say, they will call us elitists and scum and get mad at us and etc.. these are the kind of people who come on here and complain about dungeons being too hard and so on. I am now just using this thread as a way to find out who go’s next on the block list so I don’t invite them by accident when I’m pugging and have to put up with it.
I advertise for people with a decent gear set and experience and yet they still apply so, best way to avoid it.. especially for Arah Path 4. They don’t understand it. ‘So it takes a little longer’, ‘so you have to res us every fight.. ’ blah blah blah. Guess what? I dont want to be in a dungeon for ages. Guess what? I dont want to have to res you every fight. Guess what? It’s none of your business who I choose to take in my group. If you want to run Magic find, it’s not going to be in my group, take it to another group or to your plinx farms.
Last night my CoE run that usually takes 25 mins took twice as long because 3 players thought it was a good idea to all run magic find. Needless to say they died about 5 times + each Alpha encounter, and me and the other player had to hold everything together till the magic finders ran back.

You sir, are welcome in my teams, and if you want me for anything, you let me know.
A gentleman here folks, a gentleman. He gives it his all, and so should you.

I think I saw a post from A-net about this a while back, they acknowledge the issue. No talk of a fix or when.

The addition of this requirement to the monthly achievement is absurd. Instead of forcing players into activities designed to drain the economy of gold, give them options!
Dungeons drains the economy of gold? That’s new to me. That’s where I make all of my gold from. So I fail to see how it suposedly drain gold.
I agree. I have made roughly about 150g from dungeons since launch. Not much, but it’s certainly not a loss of money.

Also give

a try. Just got a nice pug group for arah there.

I’m tired of the complaint posts, all dungeons can be done easily even with casual players.
You need 2 things really:
1.) A brain
2.) Proper gear setup
You cant figure that out, A-net isnt going to listen to you (thankfully).
You know what the real issues are?
-Bugs.
-Poor Loot.

I have a full set of dungeon gear. Actually I have multiple dungeon sets and enough tokens to buy alot more. Why do I still do dungeons?
-Money (yep, sad I know)
-Lodestones
-Friends
-Breaks up the monotony of grinding Cursed Shore.
-Fun (At least Arah is anyway)
-There will be updated loot tables to dungeons and rewards soon, according to A-net.
-I salvage shields and focuses for ecto.
-500 of ‘x’ Token for gift for legendary people still need.
I will still do dungeons even when I don’t need the gear from them, and I know others who are the same. Ascended set? ok, now I have that, back to Arah to party with lupicus.
Think of it this way:
It’s going to be hard to get the ascended set right? ( I hope)
Good!
So that dungeon set you already have will be put to good use working for it.
If you put the time and effort into working on a dungeon or crafted exotic set, surely they will pay off as you work for the ascended set.
When I had a lvl 35 character, I worked hard and put a rare set on it to make it easier to get the AC set, I then threw out my rare crafted set once I had my AC set. I don’t feel like I lost anything, it did a job making things easier and I worked my way up.
I’m not worried tbh, have good faith in A-net and we don’t know enough to make a judgement at this point.
My Guess at this point (shoot me down for it):
Think GW1.
Think Infused Armour.
Maybe we will have Mursaat content incomming.
Or in the case of ‘ascended’, something to do with the Forgotten, maybe you need this set to be recognized by the snake people with the elbow flaps.

Only thing that helps is syncing the lasers within like 1 second of each other (to get the most time down there ) and then all jumping down – this will give you the best chance, then run up the side quickly.. painful but yeh >_<

bban: What you said is false.
Roy: If you created the instance and switch characters the instance is deleted and all players currently in the instance are kicked. The post you cited is either incorrect or you interpreted it incorrectly.
Do not create an instance is you want to screw around with other characters in future.
Pretty much this. if you open the instance, it’s technically your instance, and when you leave it to go on another character, it will reset.
Had a guy today think it was a good idea to open the instance, not say anything, then when we get to final boss, switch characters to a lowbie alt to leech exp, only to kick the whole party and reset the instance. This person had a legendary weapon.. Guess money doesn’t = brains lol.

1. They said they’ll look into the prices. Nothing said it’ll be entirely shifted to skill-based.
2. I wish I knew that complaining in forums could change a game. All the time people have committed to posts in these complain-rums could have actually spent time working towards their precursor.
3. Make the precursors cost 1000 lodestones for these new peeps. Hey, at least you have better chances.
Totally agree with Arch TheFallen
I really doubt they will add any skill involving way of obtaining precursos so I can see how disspointed you guys are going to be. i think it will be something like 200 this, 200 that, 200 this and you have your precursor. But it will still cost about 200-300g in gold.
I dont see the difference between grinding 1000+ dungeon tokens and grinding golds. Still grind and people will complain anyways.
Grind is big part of MMORPG. And whoever really hates pve grind, should avoid mmorpgs.
My Guess-
They up the RNG for the drop off the Mystic forge by like 0.5% or something.
-They can say they did something
The people who already have them don’t have a seizure because other people now have a chance, but it’s still slim and hopeless.
-Other people feel like they have a better chance.
