I get quite a few drops in wvw, and make plenty of money. A guild event is usually worth a gold and a half or so. sometimes more if I get a lucky bag drop like destroyer core or the like. Tier 2 n/a is very competitive right now, so towers and keeps are getting flipped regularly. Makes for a lot of fun, and profit.

What makes the matchup interesting is the blatant hate each server has for each other, specifically for FA.

As time wears on, you will find it harder and harder to find low tier groups.

This becomes a problem with older content. There is absolutly no reason to play older content as opposed to the new dungeon, because it is better in every regard. By adding carrots players percieve as necessary to the the new dungeon the others become much less desireable. This spills over to the world map. There were reasons to go out into the world before. People needed mats for armor, mats for food, items to sell for gold. etc…now it is easy to just run one dungeon and buy the things you need.

Unless you WvW on a high tier server, your rise to 80 will more than likely be a lonely one. I am on a server that always has queues for LA during primetime. I can run mid tier zones and never run into another player, while i’m out trying to level my guardian. I have to pass up the majority of events because I can’t solo them. Ask for help in map chat…crickets. This will continue until there is a reason to go back out into the world other than leveling.

The OP was trying to express his enjoyment of the game (and was asking for some help), why do you need to come in here and spew the same tired old rhetoric we’ve been hearing for weeks? He wasn’t asking to hear about how bad the game is to you or hear you complain. Get a kitten grip.

Go to the actual area where the dungeon is and look. Standing around in LA LFG is quite pointless

Any single WvW players looking for a nice place to settle in should give us a look at The Republic (SPQR) SoR server. If you love Wvw we can offer you a very good experience.
1. We WvW 5 nights a week at N/A primetime as a guild.
2. We currently field 30+ players on WvW nights
3. You will not hap hazardly be flung into a group. Groups are designed to compliment each others strengths.
4. We have a web page and mumble voice server.
5. We have weekly guild dungeon events.
6. Maxed out guild with all the perks.

The week before the fractals opened , all the waypoints were open in orr. Now thay are all contested, and will more than likely stay that way.

The forums are a cesspool as it is. Adding names will just make it worse.

If you allow yourself to enjoy the game, it will pay for itself many times over. I don;t do anything but WvW, and I have a lot of fun. If you love pve, its here, small group pvp, it’s here, large scale war , it’s here. Do what you enjoy and everything else takes care of itself.

I do play less because I have leveled the character i want to play in wvw. The only way I would play more, is if my guild spent more time in WvW.

They seem to be very good at giving refunds if you have not hit the 6 month cap.

It is natural for people to make assumptions based on what they have already seen. We all do it hundreds of times a day. In my experience, people who are proactive tend to fare much better than those who are reactive.

If they made a list of things they were working on, they would still get the same type of response. A dev could post his every move from the time he arrived at work till the time he left, and it wouldn’t be enough for some people.

Champions are not dropping for me either. I’m not talking about them only dropping white or blue, i mean they are not dropping anything.

This early phase of ascended will just be normalized in the grand scheme of things in wvw. I don’t see it making a difference until more pieces are available. Hopefully by that time there will be an option to aquire them via WvW.

It would be nice if they gave us some heads up, not necessarily on cost, but on how they would allow them to be aquired so we could start saving up relevent currency or mats.

Exotics vs legendary was a time gap, so whats the mean of increasing stats, and the shift of legendary stats above in the near future?

The “Gap” is BS PR talk. They want to slow down the rate at which players get Legendaries, so they introduced a new, grindy tier gear that people can’t ignore(that’s why is has increased stats) to siphon off time/money.

If you have to split your farming time between legendaries and ascended gear + infusion tiers, it’s going to take you a lot longer to eventually get the skins you want.

That’s the reason behind the ascended gear.

Makes perfect sense, considering they dropped a bunch of precursers in the last event.

The actual stats of the items, how they are to be obtained, when they are to be introduced is all speculation. It is also not in the game yet, so is irrelevant as my post is about how this affects the game right now.

Folks looking into the future is affecting the game right now. Some people are thinking crap, i will eventually have to grind a full set of this stuff. Pffft…isn’t worth it…..i have a fully decked out toon in (insert mmo here), and the gameplay experience isn’t that much different.

We really are.. it’s been a super see-saw couple of days and it’s so close it could go any way.

Hope the upper tier is treating you guys to a tooth and nail tussle.

The funny thing I noticed about TC when we fought you guys was , you are like the opposite of what people would think. The further behind you get , the more tenacious you get.

We are in the fifth position , and that seems to be where we belong at this point in time. We are slowly getting better though.

We are trying to make a difference over here in SPQR. Learning not only from our opponants, but from our realmmates as well. Although I am still in my two week trial enlistment, I can say they do a lot of things I consider right. If you see us on the battlefield, take the time to run with us for a bit.

To IOJ and “beastgate” All I can say is , it’s been fun so far, and we will never make the mistake of underestimating your ability. Anytime our guild rolls up on one of your groups, I know I can just as easily become a bag as loot one.

it’s not required. if you don’t find it fun, don’t do it. i guarantee you will enjoy the game more.

If that’s the case, there was no reason for the stat increase.

the increase is to give those players a reward. they new gear isn’t easy to get. it requires dedication and skill. but it is also not necessary to complete other content.

Which could have just as easily been achieved with skins, and would have avoided the entire reason for this and many other threads. If it were just about fun, the stats wouldn’t matter. Most people realize this and are asking themselves….why the stats then?

I have my fun in wvw, I don’t need the stats at this time. As they add more and more pieces of the gear with additional stats, it is going to start to make a difference, and then I will need to get this gear to stay competitive. I can’t really see a reason for this other thier desire to start a cycle that intends to keep people playing and buying gems in order to stay competitive.

It’s going to be funny to start seeing these kinds of shouts in LA

Play the game for fun. have fun with the game. when you stop having fun take a break. you aren’t being forced to farm/grind or whatever else you want to call it. it’s not required to do anything in the game. so just remember it’s a game, have fun. if your not having fun, take a break. you already bought the game and it will be here when you’re ready to have fun again.

If the game ever became popular enough to add new servers, and they went with an oceanic/sea server group, you could then have tier based world cup matches at the end of the year
