Well… it’s the darnedest thing. When I logged in all my legendary weapons were missing from my inventory?!?!? ;-)
You too!? I thought it was just me. My Dreamer is just… missing!

Things seem to have settled now, after the second bug fix.
If you are not able to log into the game now (that is, after 1:05 PM Pacific; 4:05 Eastern; 22:05 CEST) please post to let us know.
Thanks.
Got this error code while trying to login from character screen after latest (small patch)
code=19:9:13:1446:101
Thank you for including the error code!
The team is working on this, but I like being able to share the exact code you’re getting.
We just did a live build. We fixed a bug that prevented progress from being displayed properly on certain characters. This correction will address issues related to a character’s training, collection items, living world progress, hero point totals, PvP reward track, mail carriers and a few other related issues as well.

Great work on letting the items from vendors (and elsewhere not before obtainable via API) begin to flow into the items API. My updater scripts have been pulling in new IDs all night.
Huh? I only had 2 new items in the last few days?
Yeah, uhh, I haven’t turned those bits on yet. They shouldn’t even be on live yet.
>____>
EDIT: Yeah, double-checked. They’re not on live yet. All’s right with the world.
There are still issues with the game, and the HoM, as a result of the build of 7/28. If you have come across bugs that have not been reported in our bug-tracking thread please add them. Otherwise, rest assured the issues will be resolved as soon as possible.
I think it’s best at this time to close this thread, because the issues to which it refers were addressed and any remaining or new issues can be handled in the bug thread linked above.
Thanks for your patience as we got to the HoM adjustments, and we’ll tidy up any remaining issues ASAP.
This is being addressed. Looks like the UI was flagged for internal only.

Edit: Since threads were merged this is a response to the Antialiasing

I think Anet is incompetent… to repair a minor mistake they made months ago. They created a 10 times, or 100 times worse bug. Now all the LS stories achievement are gone, I almost completely my luminous set, just one little ring and I can complete, now gone! Other achievements, collections are all gone…. if they will need another few months to repair the mistake, I think we should all just ask for refund for our hard earn achievements plus our efforts and time-wasted in the game.
I generally don’t reply to these, but I can say that the other bugs did not show up in any testing prior to this build going live, we have several environments that we test on during a several week process before the build goes live to everyone. Today’s problems are unrelated to the HOM fix.
If this was seen and went unreported it would be unforgivable, but that investigation has already been completed and isn’t the case. For now it looks to be display only and character specific. My live character is affected and I can’t change my traits, but they are still active. It is extremely wonky and counterintuitive to look at.
I don’t decide these kinds of things, but there is an ingame mail associated with the fix! It’s a great email too… I think all of the people with legitimate HOM achievements will really like it.
As a side note, I am sorry you guys had to wait so long. This isn’t a fix where you can bring someone in from outside of the company to fix or put multiple people on it to get it done faster.
First of all, I want to thank you for your continous efforts to resolve the issue even though you’re working kitten Heart of Thorns. My wardrobe is grateful, too
Secondly, did anyone receive the ingame mail, yet? When I stumbled upon that, I was excited (as people who are well-behaved generally get rewarded too rarely in my opinion, so I’m always overjoyed, when they get the acknowledgement they deserve
). So yeah, I want to thank Arena Net for that – can’t wait to see what that mail is
The only ingame mail is the one you get if you were a victim of the bug and had the achievements removed. Legitimate people don’t get a mail… you get access to HoM back and another sorry from me for your wait.
Can I ask how the form wants you to put in your phone number for the SMS? I’ve tried with and without -, with and without country code and it doesn’t seem to want to recognize my landline as a number.
Edit: Just set up authenticator since I dunno why it wont accept the number. I prefer the SMS calls, been using it on Gmail for a long time.
Sent you a PM.
Yeah we just pushed out a handful of bugfixes, including that one
If you don’t have a phone number you can still use the Google Authenticator option to secure your account with 2 Factor Authentication.
We have several threads on today’s issue, and this one doesn’t say anything different and seems filled with a lot of negativity. We have a thread to collect legitimate bug reports. If you have bugs not already reported, leave the side comments aside and post in the bug thread. Closing this one.
Note: When I went to HoM on my first character after the patch, I couldn’t access any rewards. However, when I tried on a second character, they appeared, and I was able to get back on the first character to get them again.
It’s a 2 part rollout, because we don’t take the servers down for an update we have 2 parts (basically, in layman’s terms): The game build, and a server config that allows access to HoM. Until we did the server part after the build was live it wasn’t “fully” enabled, which is why you ran into that.
Anyhow! I’m happy HoM is back, and if anyone has problems with HoM/GWAMM/etc, please submit a customer support ticket.
The one question I have, and hope someone might be around to answer it, can a single landline number be used for multiple accounts? I have two accounts and my partner has one., our mobile phones are used to make emergency phone calls only. I can’t text my eyesight is too bad to read the letters on the keys and even with a smart phone the text is too small for me to read anyway (at least until someone comes up with the 24" smartphone) or could there be an option for a mobile number with a ‘no text’ option so that it would call us the same as a landline.
You can select to have the SMS service call you instead of send text and it will read you the code.
Hope this helps
This should be working again.
We’re making more changes to our build/deploy procedure to hopefully this time maybe prevent this from happening in the future (though I’ve said this many times in the past). Distributed systems are hard.
Concerning the recap, that is great, but it would be better if other languages than English could get theirs too…
That’s coming in a future update. We have all the localized VO and subtitles ready to go but ran into a tech issue that was preventing them from triggering and displaying properly.
So, I just watched the cutscene, in german with german audio and subtitles. What’s up with that note?
Good to know!
Hey all,
Please post your bug reports in this thread. When we get things into a single thread, it greatly helps our team sort through the reports and work on fixing the issues as quickly as possible.
And speaking of sorting, please read the thread first before reporting, to keep redundant reports to a minimum. If someone else has detailed an issue, we’re good. Only post about it if you have additional, new, different information. Otherwise, consider it on the list!
Thanks so much.
Wow you guys are fast! Thanks for posting these, and of course if you have other observations not already in the thread, please do share them as well.
UPDATE The team has made progress on identifying the series of events that resulted in the issues you’ve described, and they will be developing fixes for each as quickly as they can.
Hi all,
Just to reiterate what was written in Mike’s blog post today -https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/a-new-way-to-protect-your-account/
We won’t spam you; we’ll use your phone number solely for the purpose of keeping your account secure.
You do have a choice of using SMS or the Authenticator and it is optional, but we encourage you to make your accounts more secure and to say thanks you get a free mini mystical dragon.
Win/win!!

A vendor API that displays the inventory, prices and location of vendors is definitely something discussed, but it’s a bit of a nightmare to implement. There’s a bunch of vendors that aren’t player-accessible and they’re not easily distinguished from normal vendors. Like that Skritt merchant in the Mad King’s Labyrinth whose inventory displayed the stocks of Halloween skins for the raffle.
It might be more feasible if we consider only heart vendors, but I’d have to look to see if they’re easily enumerated.
tl;dr it’s on the books but towards the back of the queue.
I wanted to repeat a post I made in the Guild Wars 2 Discussion Forum. Although I really think those threads should have been made here, in the Bugs Forum, the larger number appear to have been posted there, so that’s where I first posted. I’ll see if we can merge and coalesce to make things more helpful for devs tracking the issues.
A few issues have arisen after today’s build (which deployed about 9:00 AM Pacific time). The team is aware of these issues, and appreciates those of you who let us know about areas of concern.
We’ll be addressing the issues as soon as possible and will post an update if there is additional information to share or if we have questions to ask about a particular situation that someone has reported. As usual you will see bug fixes roll out as issues are addressed.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Population levels aren’t used to determine matchups – ratings are. Some randomization on the ratings is happening to introduce some variance in the matchups, but if there is a rather large gap in the ratings, that randomization might not be enough to create diverse matchups.
The goal of this change is to make the population spread out better, which will in turn make the ratings get closer, which will result in both more interesting matchups, and more variability as well. This will take some time to happen.
Yes, so sorry about this, and it’s a known issue that the devs will be addressing.
A brief comment on this can be found here. But rest assured this will be fixed as soon as possible.
This is a bug, thanks for letting us know.
As I said elsewhere, we’re sorry that issues have occurred. We’re taking care of things, as mentioned here.
This is practically tradition.
Notifying the appropriate parties now.
I was able to access HoM and get my skins from there but some guildies says the vendor is still locked.
Traits and skills have unlocked in the hero panel for what seems to be all my toons. Some guildies say it’s only the first character they logged in with. I can change skills but not traits without relearning those.
All Living story parts are gone and shows I have to pay 200 gold to unlock. The achievements are blanked out as well as achievements from SW and Dry Top. The Points haven’t been removed from my account though so probably just display bug?
I did the LS 1 recap on one toon. It shows on the achievement summary. When I log onto Another toon and look under achievments / hero it displays as still to be done.
That’s what I have seen so far…
Thanks, Nick, that’s a very helpful list!

A bit off topic, but I just watched the Season 1 recap on Youtube, and I noticed their wasn’t anything on what happened in Southsun. I know the two events that happened there have nothing to do with Scarlet, but perhaps you could add a recap of those two stories in the future? Maybe from Canach’s perspective since he’ll be playing a larger role in HoT?
Yeah, the current recap focuses exclusively on Scarlet’s main objective so a lot of the finer details of each release were left out. This was to keep the cinematic at a manageable (and watchable) length and also present the most relevant details that bridge the Personal Story to Season 2.
That stated, I agree that it’d be cool for people to be able to learn more about the other releases from Season 1, since there were bits of plot and character development in each one. We’ll keep this in mind for down the road. Thanks for sharing.
A “Full” server is a server with a number of Active WvW Players (as defined by the algorithm) above a certain threshold. It has nothing to do with hardware limitations, or PvE players.
The “Full” threshold is slightly different than the other ones because it doesn’t have an upper limit. So some servers can be just slightly above the threshold and marked “Full”, and some other servers might be well over it, and also marked “Full”, even though their populations aren’t really balanced.
The intent is that since you can’t join or transfer to a “Full” server, their populations are going to diminish over time, until eventually they reach “Very High” again. At this point, all “Full” servers are going to be balanced. This won’t be right away, though, since we’re not kicking anyone out of their servers.
Concerning the recap, that is great, but it would be better if other languages than English could get theirs too…
That’s coming in a future update. We have all the localized VO and subtitles ready to go but ran into a tech issue that was preventing them from triggering and displaying properly.
Items will have non-default skins if they’ve been transmuted (with the wardrobe) — such items will show up in some of the authenticated endpoints, e.g., character equipment. The skin field of those item stacks overrides the item’s default_skin.
Those sessions shouldn’t be appearing in the list on the security page; they’re internal OAuth2 sessions created for the API keys for internal use.
THANK YOU!!!!
Patch notes:
Magister Ela Makkay of the Durmand Priory has been busy chronicling Scarlet’s War (known outside of Tyria as Living World Season 1). She’d like to share her research with you when you’re ready. Simply activate “Season 1 History Lesson,” located under Scarlet’s War in your Story Journal, to learn more. (Note: You must use a level 80 character to access this recap.)I know it’s not replayable (yet) but at least there is now something in-game that we can use to get a recap of season 1. I know this is something that many people have been wanting for a long time. Can’t wait to check it out!!
Thanks again!
You’re welcome. Let us know what you think.
if this is a lazy way to throw in season 1 then i’m getting really moist and salty :c
Nope. It’s just something to fill in the story gap between the Personal Story and LW Season 2 for right now.
Those changes are now live.
We adjusted the Story Journal behavior and also implemented a season 1 recap with today’s build. Basic details are in the update notes. Check it out and let us know what you think. This changes what happens once you finish the restored Personal Story.

Personal Story
•Fixed a bug in the Story Journal that activated the most recently unlocked Living World episode upon Personal Story completion. The system will now check for the next available episode in release order. If that episode is already unlocked but not completed, it will be activated. If it is not unlocked, the user must manually select the desired Living World episode.
•The Living World Season 1 recap video has English voice-over only. VO and subtitles for additional supported languages will be implemented in a future release.

I put together a fix for a pretty nasty performance issue on our game servers. This should make it into our next release so I’d be curious to see if it makes a noticeable improvement. The bug looks like it was introduced around when this thread popped up.
I also got a couple client improvements that should help reduce framerate hitching with lower-mid range video cards and/or higher shader settings. Coming next release, too.
-Bill
Wvw improved for me after you did maintenance some days ago, PvE got worse, the mobs ported all over the place. That’s gone, I think since wvw reset last night but the wvw “lags” (it’s not really lags, I just can’t properly hit and my opponents seem to port from time to time) are back.
I hope that weren’t the changes you meant but the real ones are still to come
Nope. Changes to the game server almost always (aside from when we do things like disable content, etc) come from a new game build. The server maintenance the other day wasn’t part of the game server whatsoever.
-Bill
This should be rolled out tomorrow.
To answer a bunch of questions that I’ve seen on this thread:
Once this change has been deployed, I’d like to hear what you think about the population level your server now has. Specifically, I’m interested in hearing about feelings of mismatch (like “my server is marked as full, but feels really empty even at peak time”).
Thanks for the feedbacks so far! I’m glad most of you are liking this change.
— Samuel
Pending any further issues, this should be fixed tomorrow
By no means are weapons tied to a specific legend. Revenant weapons are usually themed in feel and playstyle with a legend to create a comprehensive package if you want to play a certain way, such as sword, shiro, and the devastation line for physical damage. But that doesn’t mean that they aren’t meant to be mixed and matched as well to create unique and interesting builds. There are a lot of really cool builds you can make by trying out different combinations.
You’ll have to wait to play with it
WHENNNNNNNNN?! :E
yeah, I know, when it's ready (tm)
Soon™
in general in GW2:
IF lifesteal scales: (it doesn’t always. it depends on the skill, food effect, rune, sigil)
~the damage from lifesteal / siphon scales from power
~the healing from lifesteal / siphon scales from healing powerExactly.
If the healing part of the siphon traits scales off healing power, it would make healing power a decent stat for Shiro/Ventari revenants, since you get benefit from both Legends. Since the damage portion scales from power, it would make Zealots a decent set for that build, having both damage and sustain with group support.
It scales like the necromancer’s life siphon traits; power increases the damage and healing power increasing the healing of the life siphon. You’ll have to wait to play with it to see how it scales.
