supply was hard to find with no icon on the map(in keeps), we will get used to it like all the other things like finding the exit. But when under siege and stresslevels are a bit higher, its nice to have a location on the map to aim towards when time is of the essence.
have been looking around for spots to use that was not intended but have not been good enough :p
I think we’re going to attach supply map markers to all the depots so they’re easier to find. We’ll also be updating the map/minimap to better show objective layout/walls/breakable walls. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey guys! We are tracking this. If you log back into an older character with the HOM achieves and back into your new character it should clear up. It does look scary!
I’m a bit sad to only have one slot. Now I have to choose whether to test one thing and advance its masteries enough to give feedback on higher tiers, or to smorgasbord the start of multiple things.
I think I’m leaning to testing Chronomancer in as much depth as I can.

I think another player had a similar problem and fixed it by renaming the file to end in .exe

A couple of highly-active Guardian Forum members mentioned that some of our stickies seem to be out of date. So I thought I’d ask you folks: Are there any stickies that we should UNsticky at this time? Or do any of the OPs of the stickies intend to update them?
Builds change things over time, and it would be good to limit our stickies to guides that are current right now, and not incomplete, out-dated, or inaccurate.
Please let us know — judging the content objectively — if you note a particular thread that should not longer be stickied. We’ll take a look at the collected input and make a decision in a couple of weeks.

To clarify on what the “Static Schedule” means:
Old System:
Every time you load in from Dessa’s Lab, a random fractal is chosen. If you want to play Swamp, you have to leave and re-enter, “rerolling” until you get that fractal.New System:
Upon loading in from Dessa’s Lab, you are placed in a particular fractal depending on which scale you are playing at. If you want to play Swamp, all you’ll have to do is enter at a scale associated with it.Hope this helps!
So these will change daily? Or will certain levels always be locked into certain fractals?
Had to delete my last post because of forum shenanigans. For Clarity:
Scales will now have a specific assigned Fractal associated with them. So certain fractal scales will have you play through the Swamp Fractal, others will be Mai Trin, etc. Each existing fractal has been associated with a number of scales, so you’ll see all of them multiple times on your ascent to fractal scale 100.
With this change, it will be easier for groups who want to practice strategy against a certain fractal to jump right in and play. Additionally, it paces out the rate at which you experience certain Fractals, so you don’t have to fight the same encounters over and over again!

Also the mumble wiki says not to update it that often — because it’s just raw shared memory there’s no explicit synchronization. I’m a bit worried about hammering it with writes (e.g., the consumer might read corrupted JSON).
I really really want to just have like … a local websocket or something that you can connect to to register for events, but that’s still a long way off.
I logged in last night but did not get an email from Arena Net about the new History Lesson of Living World Season 1. Not sure why, but it doesnt show up in my story tab either. I hope its a bug
The mail only gets delivered once Season 1 History Lesson is activated (located under Scarlet’s War in the Story Journal). This happens automatically after you complete Victory or Death, the final Personal Story step. You can also manually select and activate it, but you need to be level 80 in order to do this.

Oops – what I said earlier – that the world transfer populations are based on the total membership – was true yesterday. Today we shipped a feature that shows the membership based on activity. Though if it did happen, my question stands, if I decide I don’t want to log in badly enough to displace the cat and tromp downstairs, will anything worse than not logging in happen? Will my account get locked for suspicious activity?
If you don’t attempt to put in a code nothing will happen – you just won’t be logged in. Your account will not be locked for not logging in.
Watcha think? Any chance us rangers are gonna get more pets to choose from??

I had similar concerns, so to clarify this further…
For someone who lives outside one of NCSoft’s main areas, will the SMS be originating from the most suitable NCSoft office and therefor possibly be incurring international rates, or will it always be treated as a domestic SMS wherever you are?
(For instance, I’m in Australia, and I haven’t been able to find evidence that there’s an Australian office – I think I heard of one being potentially opened a few years ago, but I don’t think it happened in the end.)
We are working with a leading SMS message provider to send our verification codes. This way we ensure local service provider rates apply regardless of your location for any country listed when you sign up for SMS.
And I’ll be wearing one of my many many Guild Wars T-shirts.

The number of players allowed in per team all follow the same rules on all instances of each WvW map.
The numbers you see on the World Transfer screen are based on the number of players who have signed up for that world: what we call the membership count – which is not the same thing as the number of players active at any one time for that world.
We’ve been tracking WvW server perf and as a result we have increased the map capacities by 10 for each team. We’ll keep tracking and look at further increases over the next week.
This should be fixed on live.
We believe this is resolved, but by all means please do post if you are still not able to log in. Any messaging you get — especially an error code — would be extra helpful.

Hi!
We investigated and noticed there was an issue with the client that you could download on the account website. We now have fixed this issue, but you will have to re-download the executable from the account website, and replace the one you downloaded beforehand.
Please let me know if you’re getting normal speeds with the latest executable.
Before I attempt to fix anything and use string instances all over the place: is this an intended change? Is this supposed to be permanent or is this something that was overlooked? What about other API endpoints which used to have numbers/integers for ids?
This is a bug. I changed some backend pieces around and this somehow slipped through the cracks; I’ll try to get this fixed on live today.
Yep, this is a known issue. We’re working on it but I don’t have an ETA.
Another thing I found a little annoying was that if you ask about the NPCs, Makkay gives you the spiel by voice… in an open-world instance, and in great detail and length. That sort of information is possibly better given by text, so that one player isn’t interfering with another to have their questions answered. (Unless the voiceover only applies to the player who asked the question, of course.)
Makkay’s VO is played client side, so every player will hear the right lines regardless of how many people are interacting with her. Also, all her lines are logged to chat so you can read it afterward. It’s new tech that we plan on using more often in the future.
I’m having the same issue. If by chance I can log into a character before it crashes I’m able to play but having to wait for the download of each map. Just like the armoredvehicle I had no issues just prior to the patch.
In addition I did an uninstall of the game and a new install and had the same issue.
Ad-Aware or some other related product from LavaSoft is interfering with the connection. It may be a toolbar installed in your browser.
If it’s a dialog suggesting you send the report to us, please post the details found after clicking “show details” (preferably as an attachment.)
My changes are in, but I’m not claiming they are the cure to all lag. There was just a few issues that I fixed, but one in particular was really bad when a map had been open for a while. So I’m hoping that the map should remain consistent during its full lifetime, and not have its performance steadily degrade over time.
Still, I’d be curious of how your experience is compared to pre-patch over the next few days.

It is very likely that both of you have a program installed, knowingly or not, that is interfering with the internet connections the launcher initiates.
Correct, google voice is not supported.
It is asking for two consecutive codes from the app.
Have you tried using the -maploadinfo? It may shed some light on what is going on in the client while you’re waiting.
directip.dll is causing the crash. This is not from our software. It appears to be a program that you may have installed, possibly by accident. You may want to disable or uninstall it.
We have reviewed the “remember my location” check box and see that there is a problem. Thank you so much for reporting it. We will endeavor to get this fixed sometime soon.

I got a question.
Is there a shedule that you show things off?
I`ll be there on thrusday, the first public day and last year it was kinda barren, with only some PvP Players I presume around.
It felt a bit out of place and just shoved in, in the whole twitch booth.I really loved the experience just before release, where it was clearly designated and people were actually named.
Can we expect something like that this year around?
I don’t think this year will be the same as it was last year. I think you should stop by on Thursday and meet us. And watch the website, we have a blog post coming with info on the show.

I don’t decide these kinds of things, but there is an ingame mail associated with the fix! It’s a great email too… I think all of the people with legitimate HOM achievements will really like it.
As a side note, I am sorry you guys had to wait so long. This isn’t a fix where you can bring someone in from outside of the company to fix or put multiple people on it to get it done faster.

The only ingame mail is the one you get if you were a victim of the bug and had the achievements removed. Legitimate people don’t get a mail… you get access to HoM back and another sorry from me for your wait.
I’ve just had this in-game mail. The only thing is I legitimately had GWAMM. I’ve just checked again and my accounts are linked – 2 of my GW1 characters had achieved GWAMM.
I presume this isn’t working as intended?

FWIW, the encoding used by /v2/items is the bane of my existence, but the data coming off that endpoint is fairly complicated to begin with.
So, this has been asked, but not answered, and I’d really like to know…
Can I use one phone number for two accounts? I don’t give out my landline number on principle, so if I opt for the SMS option, can I use it for both accounts, or is that impossible for security reasons (or because it confuses the computer or whatever)?

And can I change the number associated with my account whenever, or is that going to be some complicated process and generally a pain in the rear? In case I lose my phone or ditch the number and get a new one? Because the blog post brags about how “keeping the same phone number for a long time” makes it secure, but what if, for whatever reason, I don’t have access to that number anymore?

Edit: Oh, and one more thing. Those SMS will be regular domestic SMS, right? Yeah, yeah, obvious, silly ‘n stuff, but it doesn’t hurt to ask and make sure^^
