For some reason then gems as purchases arent going through. I’ve checked to make sure it isn’t my card, but it is being authorised elsewhere so I’m guessing there might be issues on the GS then that might need looking into?
I wanted to say I passed this along directly, and the Customer Support team is working with our provider to investigate this issue. Thank you for the report.
We were aware of some sort of quirk with the in-game mail delivery system, but whether they are connected or not, we’ll get this sorted.
The issue has been sorted. Looks like when i tried to buy gems, something flagged back to the bank who blocked digital river purchases for me but not elsewhere.
Thanks for the update! I let CS know.

We are aware of an issue with those darned mail carriers. Who knew they’d stage a sit-in for higher wages the same day the TP is being worked on!?
Seriously, I’ll follow up. As a non-programmer I’d estimate the two things are connected, but they may be entirely separate. I do know both are being addressed.
Gem Store is functioning just fine. They are actually separate (but interconnected) systems, so while the TP is being worked on, the GS may remain available, as today. Just as sometimes the GS is in maintenance while the TP is fully functional.
The Trading Post is currently undergoing maintenance. We will re-enable it as soon as possible.
Hey folks,
We’re tracking this issue, and appreciate the details you’ve been sharing. More info as we have it!
Ever considered making a compressed bulk file available hourly for the most common endpoints?
Our stack makes it pretty difficult to do that; currently the APIs don’t have any sane way to trigger periodic events.
Here’s a thought: How about waiting until it’s actually in the game before deciding whether we like something or not?
I think I detect a bit of an ironic voice in that comment. However, I agree with the advice because it just makes sense. (Sort of like looking at the pictures in a photograph menu isn’t the same as tasting the food?)
We know from the blog post that a static screenshot doesn’t show us all the elements incorporated into the legendary armor. I’m looking forward to you guys seeing it fully, after which it’ll be great if you share those impressions as well.
What step in the matchmaking process were you? Were you waiting in queue? Ready up?
Sometimes when we merge, the thread gets a little wonky and it does not appear on the main index page. I’m posting here to “right that wrong” and get this back on the index.
Please note: We do not support polls or petitions on the forums, and ask that you not create threads about them. I have merged those threads into this main feedback thread, but it would be more productive for players to share their individual thoughts outside the parameters of any attempted poll or petition.
Thanks.
You totally can make it a get request with ids separated by commas. Also the results can be paginated if you don’t want to deal with ids.
To confirm, that’s limited to 200 ids per result?
Correct.
I also read somewhere that ids=all was valid, but doesn’t appear to work for items, recipes, commerce/prices, or commerce/listings?
Is there a better way to bulk download price/listing data (ie: prepared cache) somewhere?
Typically, ids=all is only available on endpoints that have <500 resources.
IMO, the best way to fetch them all is to paginate through the listings using ?page_size=200&page=N, with N starting at 0 and ending at the value of the X-Page-Total response header. This will require 121 requests/scrape.
Yeah sorry that you have to deal with the ping issues
As others have said, all you can really do is try to anticipate where the orbs are going to be and put yourself 300ms ahead in time, since the server position is going to be 300ms behind.
I thought there was some lag compensation thing that adjust for at least some of that? There was a blog post about it a while back.
Unfortunately in this particular case it isn’t much help, because of the way missiles work in our game.
Several threads have appeared on the subject of Legendary Armor. We have merged them into this single thread to best focus the discussion, for the benefit of forum participants and for the Dev Team, as well. We ask that you post any additional comments in this thread.
Thank you.

I’ll work on a fix for this bug, thanks guys
The ArenaNet Team recognizes that, as a forum member and a player, you may want to share your feedback about the game. We welcome your doing so! We cannot reply to every thread on the Guild Wars 2 forums, but rest assured that most are read.
The purpose of this post is to provide a little guidance about how to give thoughtful, well-presented, and constructive feedback. Keeping a feedback or suggestion thread on-topic and relevant increases the likelihood that members of the Development Team will read the feedback and share it with their team members, even engage in the thread, if time allows.
If you create a feedback thread, we would appreciate it if you monitor the thread and send reports to the moderators when things veer off-topic or when the content of the thread becomes disruptive. Moderators then can kitten post content to ensure the conversation is on the right track. Do keep in mind, though, that it’s not appropriate to report a post simply because it contains a different opinion than your own.
When posting feedback, please keep these considerations in mind:
As you can see, what you are saying is important, but how you are saying it is equally important. Your strongest points will be lost if they are delivered without details, if they’re presented in an aggressive or unpleasant tone, or if they are buried in a huge wall of meandering text.
By considering the points above, your feedback will be focused on providing solutions to problems rather than simply focusing on the problems. It will shine a light on content that you enjoy, so that we’re aware of that fact when making future updates and developing upcoming projects. These things are the heart of what we’re looking for from your feedback, and both will result in the best game possible!
Small characters is a boon in most cramped JP’s, and the Mini tonic is a blessing for us Norn players. Just wish it came a few years earlier, back when I completed all those JP’s on my big fat norn!
Aw yes, but you can look back with pride on that time, and in fact, someday you can drive your grandchildren crazy, with talk like, “Bah! Back in the day we did real JPs with real skills. None of that fancy tonic stuff for us!”
Back in the day, like 2002 in very early internal testing, the hit box was not standard, and one of our clever programmers made all sorts of tiny characters to enable him to avoid getting hit.
I do wonder if certain races actually do have greater agility for jumping puzzles. I’ve had people say “Make a norn, they have a better gait” where others have said, “My asura is way better at JPs than any of my other characters” and everything in between. Think there’s any truth in that?
After some investigation on the part of our server and network teams, we’ve learned that there was a regional issue that seems to have been the cause of the connectivity issues. Even with players all over the world, there are shared points of connection (such as the data center through which all of us log in) and that can result in issues for a variety of players.
As of about 1:00 AM Pacific this morning, the issue was seen to have been resolved.
If you continue to have issues, please submit a ticket to Customer Support so they can work with you directly.
I’m aware of Tyler’s posts, which if you read them don’t ever promise a 3rd borderlands map. I just wanted to clarify that nowhere in the polls did we say anything about creating a 3rd borderlands map, even though that is stated as a ‘fact’ over and over again on the forums.

I believe the thread of poll #1 has a red post that says that if DBL was not supported no other WvW maps would be done.
Could you please locate that post and provide a link? I’m not seeing it.
Guess I must be an exception, as I see people in dbl all the time when I am roaming. /shrug
So do I, so you’re not an exception.
Thanks for repeating it… it’s really a pity because once people decided they don’t like DBL, they kept at it, even though a lot got better.
If you don’t like liver, it doesn’t matter if a 5 star chef makes the best liver every done by human kind, you still don’t like liver.
The desert bl is that crappy. (though I do like liver)
Fair enough. I’d add that if you don’t like liver, you don’t demonstrate every week in front of that restaurant which serves the best liver in the world to ask it to be removed from the menu because you think liver is crap and nobody could possibly enjoy such a dish.
And yet, that’s what happens with DBL.
Lots of posters here also seem to have completely forgotten that DBL poll that was taken long ago by Anet. The playerbase decided on the current configuration of 2 abls and 1 dbl. And that poll was taken before most of the really nice changes to dbl.
If you hate DBL so much, then just don’t play it. Simple as that.
Nice alternative facts there.
Here’s the history in case you all forgot.
Players were tired of two WvW maps, complained that WvW was stagnant.
Anet brings out DBL, replacing ABL. Players hate map.
Poll #1 asks players if you want to keep DBL, or go back to three ABL maps players complained about. Voting to keep DBL would mean a third map would be done.
Players voted to keep DBL so new map would be done, which was better than three ABL maps that we’ve had since launch.Poll #2 asked what kind of rotation they would like with DBL.
The winner was two ABL and one DBL because that was the lowest number of DBL maps.Still no new map.
So the real facts of DBL is that players voted for DBL so that a third BL map would be done and the players voted for only one DBL map because it was the best choice available.
Actually, the polls you are referring to are different than what you’ve outlined.
Poll 1:
Today we’re here to ask about the future of the Desert Borderland map in WvW. Since its release, there has been significant community debate surrounding the Desert Borderlands and there’s been a vocal group of players demanding that the Desert Borderlands map be removed entirely. The question remains, is that opinion actually representative of the vast majority of the WvW community?
Since this is a change that has significant impact on WvW as a whole, 75% of the community vote must be in agreement to disable the Desert Borderlands map.
Do you believe that permanently removing the Desert Borderlands map from play would be a superior game experience compared to having both Alpine Borderlands and Desert Borderlands maps as options?
• Yes: The Desert Borderland map should be permanently disabled.
o Alpine Borderlands will forever be the only Borderlands map.
• No: The Desert Borderland map should continue to be supported.
o Both Alpine Borderlands and Desert Borderlands will remain as map options.
o We will hold a revised Simultaneous Borderlands poll again, to determine how the Desert Borderlands returns.
• Don’t count my vote, just show me the current results.
Poll 2:
Again we’re here to ask about the future of the borderlands maps in WvW. The current plan is to rotate the active borderlands map with each quarterly update. The alternative option is to have both Alpine and Desert Borderlands running simultaneously. The down side of both maps running simultaneously is the possibility of imbalance between the maps; the upside is more choice and variety of which map to play on.
How would you like to play both Desert and Alpine going forward?
• Simultaneous Borderlands is a superior option
o At all times there will be 2 Alpine Borderlands and 1 Desert Borderland
o This requires a 75% majority to win.
• Rotating borderlands is a superior option
o Quarterly rotation between 3 Alpine Borderlands and 3 Desert Borderlands.
o If Simultaneous does not win by 75% we will continue with this option.
• Don’t count my vote, just show me the current results.
Please see this thread for information about some technical issues that may be part of what you were experiencing over the last few days. As two members of the technical team reported, the issue specific to WvW was addressed on Friday night. Connectivity issues have been occuring since then, we know, and we are continuing to investigate them. You can provide some specific info in the linked thread that may help us resolve these intermittent issues more quickly.
This particular problem should now be fixed, if anyone else is seeing this.
I noticed that Shaui posted in another thread on this subject. He said the following:
We are looking into this issue. If you are still affected, please send us some info that will help us debugging.
So if you can share that, and do that, it’d help a bunch!
I am going to close this thread and ask that you post in the other thread to keep the conversation focused. Thanks!
Guys, I’m going to be sure that the team sees your reports. One thing you might do to help is to provide:
Thanks for your reports. This is being discussed internally, so you can be sure the details you provide will be very helpful in getting to a resolution.
Hi Kevin
can we get you to tell the other dev’s we have some connectivity issues going on also?
Thanks![]()
many of us can’t play right now!! because we just keep getting disconnected
Hey, Seth, as Slipping mentioned, that issue is important for us to discuss, but not in this thread. Kevin is great, but he would not be the person to deal with connectivity issues. If you see a thread on this topic, please join. Otherwise, do feel free to create one so that the topic gets the attention it deserves.
By the way, I have noticed internal e-mails discussing a few connection issues that arose over the weekend, so the team is aware. But specifics — location ISP, date, time and time zone — would be good to have.
Thanks!
Hey everyone, we are looking into this but I need something from all of you. While you’re in game when this is happening can you enter a /bug and tell us that it is the 1080 card shadow issue? That gives us more information that will help us track things down. I will search for ‘1080 card shadow’ in those reports and pull out the info for the Graphics team.
thanks!
Hi guys,
We are looking into this issue. If you are still affected, please send us some info that will help us debugging.
1. Your location and ISP
2. open a command prompt and run “tracert cligate-dfw.101.ncplatform.net” if you are on a NA server, run “tracert cligate-fra.101.ncplatform.net” if you are on an EU server. 3. 3. Include the output from step 2 in your reply.
Thank you!
Thanks for finding and reporting this. A fix is on the way.
Hmm, that actually might be feasible. There’s an existing issue for vendors in general, but for a handful of daily-rotating vendors (which will need to be hardcoded anyway) the whole whitelisting bits aren’t necessary. Will definitely look into it.
The link on the welcome page is outdated and was missed when we made some updates. (This will be fixed soon.)
In the meantime, you can go here instead: https://account.arena.net/content
Sorry, we disabled a few too many servers, and when the reset hit, most people had nowhere to go as we are hitting peak time in NA. Fixed by re-enabling some hardware.
This has been resolved.
The issue has been reported and we’re looking into it: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/WVW-BROKE/6560822
We’re aware of the issue and are working on fixing it.
So, the kill/death counts are cached in the exact same blob as the map state — however, they’re collected using a different mechanism than the map state. The way I implemented it, there’s actually an API-specific backend server that watches logs coming off of the map instances. Every skirmish (I think? it might be on an interval), each WvW map instance flushes some transient state to logs, including kill/death counts; those logs are picked up by the API backend server and aggregated.
I have some minor changes that might be ready for the next release that watch for individual on-kill notifications (in addition to the periodic aggregated one) — that should improve the latency a bit.
tl;dr architectural, but I’m working on it.
I was pretty sure it has been 15 games per week from the start. The above quote sounded like he was just throwing out 10 as an example since it is easy to calculate and comprehend multiples of 10.
Yes.
How often is data from the Trading Post updated such that it can be obtained via API?
/v2/commerce/listings is every 20 minutes.
/v2/commerce/prices is every 2 minutes.
/v2/commerce/transactions is every 1 minute.
These change on occasion, refer to the Cache-Control and Expires headers.

Thanks! We are investigating.
WvW in Europe will be down for maintenance for roughly 20-40 minutes on 2017-04-21 starting at 03:00 UTC/ 5:00am CEST. There will be in-game announcements before and after the maintenance.
This was my first time watching the show live. Josh was a great co-host. I really liked his feedback on the artwork so I appreciate the time he spent with you on the show.
Josh is great, and I am grateful he could be involved, too! Thanks for watching.
It’s great!!
Good day friends! We’re looking into this issue. While we do – if you are encountering this, could you answer the following:
Also, there may be an issue with some locations – so if you find a spot where you encounter it – could you include a screenshot with your minimap showing?
Thank you guys!
Join me and Josh Foreman for today’s show at Noon Pacific Time!
Tip: Placing one’s mouse over the legend for Points of Interest should highlight any which are still outstanding.
It’s showing Top 250 is now minimum 1349 rating. Is this because people are quitting PvP?
The games played requirement updated. Whenever this happens, you’ll see a big leaderboard shift as people who don’t have the minimum get knocked out. New people don’t get added to the board until they’ve played a game, so it takes a little while for things to normalize again.

Bug Fixes
This has not been reproducible internally. The details of the crash dialog could be especially helpful because without some kind of identifying information, there is no way to find the crash reports.
We have indicated by strikethrough in the notes above that the following change did not take place in the build that went live this morning: “The Active Guild Member achievement, which can no longer be earned after the retirement of Influence as a guild currency, has been moved from the General ? Community category into the Historical ? Retired Achievements category.”
This change will be made in an upcoming build and we will include a note in the appropriate set of update notes when this correction actually takes place.
