The Asura missing-neck bug, when it looks like the head would be directly tied to the body, should be a feature for respawning asura who were fired against a wall.

Hello, I submitted a ticket 3 days ago [#893674]about the commander tag refund and was told that all accounts had already received their refunds…. I got a response that they were ‘investigating’ the matter further..
Just received an in-game mail that a replacement item for a character on my account and to please log in with that character to accept.
I logged in with all 16 of my characters and couldn’t receive anything.
Any help would be appreciated

I’m not sure if this is the correct place to post as I cannot find anything similar for Guild Wars 1 and currently after three tickets the support staff are still unable to give an answer to my problem.
Ticket number #79263 Currently open, no reply received since last week and appears to have been closed without a reply since I received a satisfaction survey.
previously #78906 (CS Staff ignored my final reply for over a week, no satisfaction survey received).
and also #79228 CS Member only requested I submit the request using the web interface. Something I’d done already as the ticket number shows.
I currently have two Guild Wars 1 accounts that were banned by an automated system because I moved country and didn’t check my email for a year. If this is the wrong place to post, what should I do in order to get a reply in this matter?

http://youtu.be/W39TtF14i8IWould you say this is an accurate overview of MMO economics? I think I see a lot of concepts there that match elements of the economy in GW2.
Also, the video talks about how a treasury can influence inflation by controlling how much money is minted and that can be mirrored in an MMO by controlling how much gold is dropped by mobs. We’ve seen you do this with champ bags but do you also control the gold drops from regular mobs in a similar manner?
I’ve never noticed a change in coins from mobs but then it’s such a tiny amount that I typically ignore it. However, a tiny amount for me would be a huge amount on a global scale and any changes to that would have a not insignificant impact on the economy.
It’s an interesting video, but I agree with the comment made in the beginning, that was not enough time to explain the concepts involved.
For example, Printing money and not printing money isn’t really how inflation is controlled in real life, but if you only have 30 seconds to explain what inflation is you aren’t going to start talking about the government policies to change money supply.
I like the medium too, it’s a fun watch, but overall there’s so little content that it leaves me with an incomplete feeling.

Colin and I were having lunch a short while ago. During lunch we were sharing experiences from Adopt-a-Dev. He started talking about this amazing moment he had while on scouting duty where he spotted an attack on Stone Mist castle that was happening from the inside and was able to call in reinforcements in time to thwart it. Halfway through I stopped him and cursed his name. He was confused at my reaction until I told him that the attack he stopped was the one from my guild, DmD and I was part of that attack. He correctly guessed that we snuck a mesmer into the castle after IOJ took down one of their walls.
We would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for them darned kids scout!

To clarify, if you have the item that grants an account upgrade and have not consumed it, you may be eligible for a refund.
If the item has already been consumed to grant the benefit or if the upgrade did not have a consumable item in the first place, then it is not eligible for a refund.
Account upgrades (character slots, bag slots, bank slots, etc.) are not eligible for refunds at this time.

The /v2 api combines the /v1/items.json & /v1/item_details.json APIs into a single, simpler API. You can look a /v2/commerce/listings for an example of the behavior. Requesting the root of /v2/items returns a list of all item IDs, exactly like /v1/items.json. You can then request for /v2/items/<id> or use any of the other querying mechanisms like ?ids=<id>,<id>,<id> or pagination to get individual item details.
Loot isn’t assigned until the player interacts, so technically 0. I could estimate based on probabilities, but that would be some work.
Does the BL inside the game use either listings or prices? You just made me think that, if the results are cached, then the data we see in-game isn’t live? Or does it use other mechanism unavailable to the API to be live?
The TP uses the same backend APIs that both /v2/commerce/listings & /v2/commerce/prices uses. It doesn’t go through the public API layer though.
/v2/commerce/prices has a caching layer on the backend API, so the TP is getting identical values to the public API.
/v2/commerce/listings is cached on the Public API layer (currently for 1 minute) because the public API gets hammered much harder than the in-game TP. This is mostly due to folks spidering for the entire state of the market every few minutes, which no user would ever be able to do from within the game.
Oh right, I remember that now. So if it is Swiss style, then the next match up in Silver and Bronze leagues will be based on how everyone finished this week. So all first place finishers will matchup, all second place will matchup as well as all third place?

It is swiss style, that is correct. Certainly worlds might get matched up against one another more than once, but the nature of the matchmaking is going to minimize that, especially in conjunction with the 4 week timeframe.

Minis that were not guaranteed, such as minis obtained from the Minis 3-Pack (Set 1, Set 2, Set 3), are not eligible for a refund.
Could you explain why this is so? These seems contrary to EU 2012 code of rights that states:
“Consumers can request repair or replacement free of charge if goods they receive are faulty or do not correspond to what they have ordered. The trader has to repair or replace the good within a reasonable time and with limited inconvenience to the consumer. If the trader fails to repair or replace the good within a reasonable time, consumers may instead ask for a refund or a price reduction.”In this case it is not the players fault that there is a random element to what we get in packs-that is simply a byproduct of the service provided. Its up to the company , in this case Anet to have a system in place to recover the goods. This is not the problem of the customer.

I encourage you to pursue this matter fully. I recently had a similar issue with another NCSOFT game and was refused a refund. I took the matter to the ACCC ( the Australian Consumer Commission ) on principal and they contacted NCSOFT who promptly refunded my money. Any EULA does not override your countries statutory consumer rights.
The ACCC is currently suing Valve for breaches of consumer guidelines in Australia for digital game downloads and refusing refunds if the game was buggy, faulty or didn’t match the description of the original product. Clearly in your case, you didn’t get what you paid for.

No sure if it is inteded or is a bug, but in my home instance I no longer have my mining nodes (Candy Corn, Quartz Crystal and Sprocket Generator) if I enter the instance with a not-80 character (in ex an alt). If I enter the instance with my lvl 80 characters I can see my mining nodes. This problem started with 9/9 update.
We are aware of this particular issue and our Quality Assurance team is investigating it further.

As disappointing as it seems to be that they are all in one server, you shouldn’t really complain! 2 top notch GvG guilds and 1 small scale roaming guild! That’s pretty awesome if the devs feedback goes towards improving both scenes rather than buffing the blobs and zergs even more in the future patches.
As one of the Adoptees on Kodash I can assure you that my involvement has not helped to tip the scales in Kodash’s favor one bit.. Quite the contrary I expect

Any chance the WvW forums can get some ANet love? We’re having issues with a few players creating a toxic environment in WvW, and there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it besides beg on the forums for some divine intervention. This has been an issue since at least the Spring Tournament, yet there’s been no communication between ANet and WvW players regarding this behavior.

Lack of communication and inaction on this issue have only made it worse, now players flaunt this behavior and even get paid to do it, knowing that ANet won’t do anything about it. Tarnished Coast has at least one player who did this all during the Spring WvW Tourney, was reported in droves, and yet here they are in the Fall Tourney, doing it all over again on the same account, because nobody did anything. It’s extremely discouraging.
I sincerely hope somebody sees this and we can get some sort of official stance / dialogue going. A lot of players take WvW seriously, and this is becoming a significant problem.
