You are all recognizing the problem with PvP templates versus PvE templates:
PvP builds can be constructed regardless of what items you own. The templates can even save weapon type and give you a free level 1 item if you don’t have a weapon in your inventory already because PvP has normalized attributes.
PvE/WvW builds must include actual items. This mean sharing non-PvP builds becomes very complicated. Either you simply can’t do it, or templates save out exact items for reapplication AND save out item type/level/rarity/prefix/suffix/etc for sharing.
Another aspect you guys are hitting on is the need for template ‘chunks’. This means templates are not an all-or-nothing application, but can be pieced together from various parts. For instance, you could have an ‘appearance’ template that consists only of wardrobe skins, dyes, and a finisher that you can apply and save separately from a ‘functional’ template that may contain skills, traits, and amulet.
This is quite an intricate detail, but you may even want to leave individual skill/trait slot empty in a template you’re sharing like a wildcard.

The point I made a long time ago about precursor rates increasing price was speaking to an anomaly that can/did occur with a very specific set of market circumstances. It does not automatically applies to other markets or changes.
I just played it and the Risen come in one at a time, with the tanks firing on them the whole time. That plus the friendly soldiers makes it quite possible to avoid being overwhelmed. My best guess would be that some Risen snuck in while the player was occupied elsewhere.
If she’s in combat, you can’t speak to her. The player who started the story instance (it sounds like you were playing co-op) can speak to her once she’s not in a fight.
There is a feedback thread on this topic. Please comment in this thread:

One of the strengths of ArenaNet has been they’re ability to recognize holes or failings and take steps to fill them. People have been complaining about missing the past story lore and it’s cool to see them implementing a system to address that.
Heck, I might even try to finish those post-Claw Island missions on my PS now.
We’re also trying to put a little more info in the Story Journal once you’ve completed a Living World story instance, like a slightly more detailed recap that not only includes the plot and action details, but also touches upon the character moments.

We absolutely want to make build templates. They could work similar to GW1, but there are more components to a build now. Using the old string-code method may prove to be unwieldy.

How would you like to see any/all of these work?

(also, new cast member = new character
)
Not necessarily. You’ll have to wait and see (and hear).
:)
James Ackley, our Audio Director, sat in on our latest VO session. After a few minutes of a particularly awesome (and hilarious) performance from a new cast member he turned to me and said, “See if we can get some of these outtakes.”
:)
Howdy all!
We’re going to make this one the official feedback/questions thread. Please stay on-topic and respectful throughout. Thank you!
Looking over the LS season 2 blurb I spotted this “Past episodes will be available for purchase for 200 gems”
Does this mean if we want to reply any LS content we need to pay for it in gems? Is it an unlock a chapter forever fee for every account or is it character bound? If we pay for a chapter can we team with people who haven’t?
Personally, not sure how I feel about this move. To me it seems to step over the ‘morality line’ and move GW2 to a payment model I don’t really like..
Hmm
If you log in during the release window of an episode (e.g. two weeks) you unlock the episode for your account. You can replay it as many times as you want for free. If you miss the release window and you want to play an episode that you didn’t unlock, you can purchase it.
It’s a lot like watching television in that you can watch (and record) an episode for free when it airs. If you miss it, you can buy the episode off iTunes later. Does that make sense?
Hmm, so if LS is going to be using the green star like the PS, what happens to those of us who haven’t completed the PS? Do we just select that in the story panel and it basically hides the PS one/step?
Going from what Colin described, that seems to be the case.
Colin JohansonTo go along with this change, we’re modifying the story Journal in your character’s Hero Panel so it will track all of your character’s story steps. From that panel, characters who are level 80 will be able to select between playing their personal story and the Living World story. For the Living World story, you’ll be able to select which unlocked episode you’d like to play. Characters under level 80 will be able to see the available episodes, but will not be able to play them until they reach level 80. Think of the Living World story as the constantly expanding continuation of your character’s storyline once they reach level 80.
Once you hit level 80 you can switch between your Personal Story and your unlocked episodes of Season 2.
Greetings,
A thread already exists on this topic:

We have identified the issue and are working on a solution to distribute the proper tournament chests to all who should have earned them. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this.
Thank you.
Hi how do i find my support ticket i sent one but cant seem to find it
Check your e-mail. Spam, Junk, even Deleted mails. We send an auto-response which you should have received immediately. If you do not find it, then it’s safe to assume your ticket was never created and you should try again.
Click “Support” at the top of this page, and then “Submit a request” on the page to start a ticket. (Keep in mind that in-game reports are not tickets and will not receive a response.)
Hey all,
We’ve published a sparkly new article on Account Security on this link. It contains quite a bit of updated information and has links, as well, to a few resources for you.
Coming soon to your Guild Wars 2 Knowledge Base: “Choosing a Secure Password.” I think we’ll have that posted in about a week.
In the meantime, review the new article, please, and keep your account secure!
(edited by Gaile Gray.6029)
Im here because I also just got a password request just now. Not to worried cause I have an authenticator. But yea, looks like someones cycling an email list.
Yes. Sadly, every hour of every day, unscrupulous individuals use passwords gleaned from hacked sites — websites, fansites, stores, forums — or hackers sites, where to sahre credentials, to “ping” them against our system. If they get a match, they try to reset your password, but without your approval through e-mail or mobile authentication, they’re stopped at the door.
Do take on board, though, that if you get these genuine (not phishing) e-mails, someone does know your GW2 Account Name, that is, the e-mail address you use to log in to the game. That is not, in and of itself, that big a deal, but it does mean the address is “out there.” Now, would-be hackers may not know that they know your e-mail address because our system doesn’t give them a confirmation that the address is a legitimate e-mail address within our system. But I thought I’d mention it as something you should be aware of, nonetheless.
…the community here is rly great
Truer words were never spoken — this forum community rocks!
Yes, it’s not uncommon to see the sneaky tactic of “steal account/add mobile authenticator to the stolen account.” But Support can help you with this. Oftentimes, the hacker also has access to your e-mail account — in fact, that’s often how he/she gets onto your game account. So don’t be concerned if the agent asks you to submit a new ticket using a new, unique e-mail account; that’s just another security measure that is often helpful in adding an extra layer of security to previously-compromised accounts.

The team is still actively working on this, as you’ve seen in the various responses you have had from the team. I feel sure they can help you get this sorted.
I just wanted to ask if everyone was ok with this now. We occasionally have a momentary glitch with the store — as any business does — where items are a bit delayed in delivery. Did you all get your gems? Anyone else having problems with gem delivery?
As a general rule, if you ever have issues of this kind, please do submit a ticket by clicking “Support” at the top of this page and then clicking the “Submit a request” option. Provide as much information as possible in the web form and we’ll do our utmost to help you.
As suggested in this thread, the absolute worst thing you can do is do a charge-back. There’s no need to do it, we definitely do not want to charge you for goods you don’t receive! And with a charge-back, we are required for various reasons to close the game account when a charge-back is processed. (The person will get his/her money back, of course, but that would happen by contacting us, so it’s six of one, half-dozen of the other and contacting us keeps your account in good standing.)
I should be clear. It’s very unusual to be able to help with deleted items. And in the case of a refund request for a deleted item, I just don’t think it’s going to happen. That’s a case of “Months ago, I had XX item and now I want a refund.” If you think about it, that’s like saying to JC Penney, “I bought a pair of jeans and I no longer own them, but can you refund me the cost anyway?”
A Guild Wars 2 player is always welcome to submit a ticket to inquire about his or her individual situation, but I did want to point out that some cases are pretty clear as to what the outcome most likely would be.
Yes, please do encourage your friends to contact Support so that a team member can help analyze why this is happening. We will definitely do our best to help him!
I have had to go to my email account to authenticate my login for about 2 weeks. Most of the time the address and city are diffent. Cities that I remember the login has been from have been plymouth, london and kittenheroe. None of the cities are where I’m logging in from. My guild-mates say i should be worried.
I basically want to know why the address and city changes, why it isn’t the location I’m actually logging in from, if a hacker has access to my account and if one does what I need to do to my my account safe.
My email password is completely different to my game account password.
Nothing has been taken, changed or added to my game account that I have noticed nor have I been contacted by other players saying I’ve been spamming/scamming them or otheres they know.
This really is not uncommon but I admire your awareness that you may be seeing unauthorized access. I can tell you that some months ago, a player in England contacted us asking why he was showing log-ins from Northern England, Southern England, Scotland, and Wales! I did some mapping (<3 Britain) and found his alleged “log-in locations” were at least 400 miles apart! So we decided he should contact his ISP and sure enough, they told him that they had a whole range of IPs and that a legitimate log-in may come from anywhere on the island. He was greatly relieved and I had a nice story to tell people about dynamic IPs.
On my account, I see log-ins from my town, from the larger cities around me, and sometimes from a city that’s nearly 100 miles away. As long as I’m using a unique password, watching my log-ins, and making sure that I am receiving them only at the moment I am actively logging-in, then I have confidence the system is working. Were I to see one from too remote a location, I’d be changing my credentials, checking my e-mail account for a possible breach, and contacting my ISP to ask them about the new, alleged “log-in location.”
First, if you are posting, you were not banned. A “ban” is a permanent account termination. Secondly, while generally we’ll ask you to submit a ticket, in this case I looked into the case and there was an error and the name is uncensored. (We left a note on the account to prevent this happening again.) However, it’s only fair for me to point out there was decidedly not an error with another of your name choices — it truly was offensive. However, you renamed that char with something that’s acceptable, so it’s fine now.
In the future, if you have questions about a censored name, please submit a ticket by clicking “Support” at the top of this page and then clicking the “Submit a request” option.
(edited by Gaile Gray.6029)
Please note that we cannot help you with your sister’s account. She will need to submit a ticket and work with Support, although you are welcome to assist her. But for security’s sake, we work with the actual account owner. Thanks for understanding.
I find that a lot of times, players use the same character names in Guild Wars 2 that they used in Guild Wars. You could perhaps try using your GW2 names, to see if you did the game. Otherwise, please submit a ticket by clicking “Submit a request” at the top of this page. Provide as much information as possible in the web form, because that will create a ticket within the support system. You are not required to provide all the information but may leave fields blank when you cannot accurately complete them. The team should be able to help you.
I have two thoughts:

Important Note: You cannot link your Guild Wars 2 account to the NCSOFT Account Management (NCMA) system or link the two games through your NCMA. In addition, you do not need access to your existing NCMA to purchase Guild Wars 2 or to link it to your existing Guild Wars account.
https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/28147506-Guild-Wars-Accounts-Their-Effect-on-Guild-Wars-2
Correct, as posted.
Could definitely happen that way. Do you think that’s more of a problem stemming from players not being able to easily switch builds on a per-map basis? It goes both ways: If someone is built for one map, there is no guarantee they get the map. They may do poorly on a map they didn’t vote for, or need to switch builds to adapt.
You can think about whether a certain implementation of a map vote feature would be a good one if you imagine how it works given any subset of maps. What if we had 2 maps, 20 maps, or 20 game modes?
I would prefer a map vote feature to be an improvement over the total RNG we have now rather than a solution to an atypical conquest map.
There are 52 of the regular sky crystals in total, and the 10 new master sky crystals. :-)
I dunno I feel like this thread is more about putting in a new feature, which could as a secondary part of this thread disenfranchise quite a few players
(33% voted to keep skyhammer in Soloque, this is not a small amount)
It’s not really about forcing players to do one thing or the other..ALSO ::
IMHO Making the Vote a RNG system where each vote buys a roll for a certain map and the winning map is the one with the highest roll is fair. (I feel like this idea was ignored, or maybe I’m missing something)
Well said. I don’t think the weighted RNG is being ignored. It is an elegant solution that both caters to the masses and doesn’t ignore the minority.
Bug Fixes
This was an intended change, but was mistakenly left out of the release notes.
As the original problems reported by this thread—disconnects and rollbacks—appear to have been resolved, and given that people now seem to be reporting unrelated issues, I am going to close this thread.
If you have a problem with your individual account, please contact Customer Support.
Thank you, everyone, for your reports and any details you may have provided.
Thanks for your report. We are currently investigating this.
I’m still getting a 42:1000:7006:1324:101 error every now and then, although this wasn’t introduced in todays patch, but rather when Festival of the Four Winds was released. It usually DC’s me between 10-40 minutes of play, no matter what I do.
This doesn’t sound like the same issue. Please contact Tech Support for assistance.
Can you provide any more specific details? Any error codes your are receiving, where your character is, action you are taking when being disconnected, information of that nature?
Update: we have just pushed a fix for this issue live. We’re monitoring it, but please let us know if you’re continuing to experience problems or if you see anything out of the ordinary regarding this issue.

Hey all: The development team is currently investigating this issue and working to address it.
It would help if we had as much detail as possible regarding this bug so that we can relay that information to the team.
Thanks for your reports. We are looking into this issue now. If you have any additional details to contribute, please do so.

Well, he doesn’t play the game, so he doesn’t see what is obvious to many.
My three level 80’s and Tequatl Greatsword disagree with your statement.
While the World vs. World team investigates an issue with tournament reward chest distribution, we are temporarily delaying access to the rewards that would have otherwise been available on the Battle Historian on June 3rd. We hope this will help prevent further compounding the issue, and avoiding unnecessary confusion while we work to resolve the problem. Thank you for your patience.
Rigging the rotation is an interesting idea to avoid long queues with filters. I’m not actually sure if that would results in shorter queues than the matchmaking algorithm finding the best set of 10 people all with overlapping map filters. It would certainly still get slower the more maps you veto.
In either case, anything that increases queue times or effectively creates separate queues is probably not something we want to implement if it can be avoided.
