You should not submit duplicate tickets for the same issue, as it only slows down the process. Close out the duplicates and only update your original.

Yes. Duplicates are bad. I also agree that a full mailbox is a likely culprit for not receiving the unidentified dyes.

Close duplicates with a note that you do not need help on that ticket, but will wait for help in Ticket No. ######.

Combat Mode does much, much more than 1:1 keypress and is allowed to be used.

ArenaNet does not and has not ever reviewed or approved any third-party applications. Combat Mode, as are all other third-party tools, is very much “use at your own risk”.

And to further clarify my reply from earlier, from the Guild Wars 2 Rules of Conduct (emphasis mine):

20. You may not use any third-party program (such as a “bot”) in order to automate gameplay functions, including playing, chatting, interacting, or gathering gold or items within Guild Wars 2. You may not assist, relay, or store gold or items for other players who are using these processes.

Using AutoHotKey to map multiple key functions to a single keypress, regardless of the intended use or outcome, is a violation of the above rule.

An issue developed in May (2014) with FIOS and Verizon. Here’s a bit of information from our Server Team that may be helpful to those impacted by the problem:

We’ve investigated this and it appears to be a real issue with DNS lookup for some Verizon customers. While editing your host file will work in the short term, it is very risky, as any of those addresses you just hardwired into your OS could change at any time. Even worse, if you’re like me, you’ll forget about editing the hosts file and be really confused in the future when patching stops working.

A better workaround would be to set your DNS provider to Google (https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using) as that fixes this problem and will continue working into the future.

Thanks for reporting this! This looks like a scaling issue where the effect is scaling the character’s size but the skill itself is not scaling. A fix for this will require some design work so I can’t say a whole lot in regards to when it could be fixed.

While a respect this honest answer, I’m really concernd that we didn’t even get a "soon™ ".

I wish I could say soon™. But this is a pretty interesting issue to address.

Easy fix:
Just make that if you enter a pvp match, you automatically get transformed into a human character, so no issues anymore (for the time you are in this match). Like when you use a tonic or so.
And btw I want an option for myself to let everyone be shown in a pvp match as a human so I finally can see the animations of the Freaking asuras and norn mesmers stop destroying my view…

How would this idea handle things like cultural armors? Won’t turning everyone into humans cause a loss of uniqueness in the game? Every player has specific facial adjustments, body types, heights, armor colors, and weapons; what happens to these?

It seems like devs respond only to useless topics like this and doesn’t care about giving response to anything important. Never before I’ve seen such aproach to customers. Sad.

I reply to writing and VO threads when I can, including critical feedback posts, since that’s my area. Is there something story related that you’re concerned about, or is this comment more about other feedback (balance, gameplay, etc.) that isn’t being addressed? Remember that we read the forums often and reply when we’re able. A respectfully worded post gets a lot more attention than vague complaints.

Not sure if this is in your realm, but since it has to do with the voice overs, I’ll ask.
Any chance we’ll ever see compilation audio files on the ANet Soundcloud . Kind of like the one of rejected/not used ones (like the Logan one demanding the kids candy). I’d really love seeing one of those for each biconic (scruffy included. can’t remember if he’s ever said anything), with all their open world dialogues (not necessarily the cutscene VOs). Thanks.

I know that it is not in your authority to tell something about the development of the game. I can say that I don’t like the company’s aproach to responding on the forums, not the actual developers who can write only what they are told.

It is true that I don’t want to ask anything connected to the story. So far I love it, and I know you will give us a great Season 2 with Mordremoth and Maguuma maps and so on.

However, there are same basic things, which I expected to be in game a long time ago.

My advice is to put those ideas into an existing (or new thread) such that they can be digested in context. Devs are more likely to read and respond to feedback that’s clearly identified in the right channel or thread. It keeps things more organized.

I kind of feel like a dev word about the incredibly scarce chaos of lyssa recipe is extremely desired, with numerous threads being created about it. I know it was mentioned on stream that it’s droprate is fine, but seeing as it sold for 1k and 2.5k, that isn’t precedented and is disheartening.

This is the wrong thread to discuss that. My advice would be either to post in an existing thread on that topic, or if one doesn’t exist you can create a new one.

  • A Festival Rewards Vendor has been added to the center of the Crown Pavilion for the shopping convenience of players enjoying the festivities.
  • Festival Rewards Vendors now sell two additional items:
  • Obsidian Shards for 100 Festival Tokens each.
  • Heavy Crafting Bags containing 3 tier 6 crafting materials (e.g. Vicious Fang or Ancient Bone) for 300 Festival Tokens each.
  • The Crown Pavilion’s Boss Blitz event has had its rewards adjusted in the following ways:
  • Bronze Tier
    • Increased the number of champion loot bags from 2 to 6.
    • Increased the number of Festival Tokens from 15-21 to 40.

Would-be hackers obtain lists of valid e-mail addresses and “ping” them against Guild Wars 2 to see if they can steal an account. They hope that they can get you to react carelessly, to approve access for them by not paying attention to the mail, not reading the remote location they’re coming from, etc.

They also obtain huge lists of “known passwords” through hacks of sites, such as the recent PayPal and eBay incidents.

And finally, a lot — the majority — of hacked game accounts are tied to hacked e-mail accounts. If I got those e-mails, I’d be asking a lot of questions, like “Is my e-mail secure?” or “Does my computer have a key-logger?”

If you want to change your user name, contact Support and we’ll work with you on that. I strongly encourage you to use a new e-mail account that you use nowhere else and that you chose passwords that are used only one time, and are quite complex. Be aware that if you issue a request for a new Account Name we will be required to establish that you’re the owner of the account, go through a verification process. But really, for security’s sake, you wouldn’t want us to react any other way.

It’s not bad support when you get hacked twice and had already used your one time account restoration on your first hack. It’s not bad support when it takes time to prove your identity. Would you rather someone claim to be you contact support and they automatically get access or have support take the time needed to prove you are you who say you are?

As to the skins being “bugged”, they aren’t bugged if you didn’t have them at all before the wardrobe was released. If the hacker deleted them and you can’t be restored, then it’s not a bug, it’s how the system works. It sucks you were hacked, but if the hacker had access to your email, that’s beyond Anet’s control.

Once an account is “passed along” or shared, there’s little we can do about the matter, and little that we will do, since the process of getting involved in a given, resold, or traded account is against the UA.

If the cousin is nice, he’ll turn the account back over to you and that’ll be the end of it. If he chooses not to do that but is an honorable person, he will buy a new boxed copy or reimburse you for the on-line purchase of a new account for your girlfriend.

Bottom line: we can’t get involved in this, but I hope it works out for you.

You can pick up a Hall of Monuments Portal Stone from the Skritt Karma Vendor (I forget his name) in Hooligan’s Route in Lion’s Arch. Before the Patch, you could get it from Scornheart.

You get one in the Mail on each character you create after the link. Though, occasionally they do not arrive.

The reality of the virtual world we live in is that is extremely easy for someone tenacious to obtain your email address by simply knowing your character name. If you’ve ever registered on a fan site or let someone in the game know your real name, where you live, etc. for instance.

From there, if you refuse to use more advanced security measures like 2-step authentication, you are a fairly easy target. And, if they use keylogger software/hacks, they are going to see your new email information every time you try to recreate it on your computer. At that point, they might as well have hacked your fingers – and none of it had anything to do with Anet.

I learned this myself the hard way a couple of weeks ago. For what it’s worth, Anet was awesome about it – three days to get my account back with almost all of my stuff (lost my first and only precursor because it was still waiting to be picked up on the TP) – and I was happy with that – because I knew it was my fault, not theirs, that I was hacked.

We are basically at war with these hackers, and when you are at war, you dont do things half way. Protect yourselves in every way possible. Use commercially known and accepted antivirus software (and manually scan your computer often), set up 2-step authentication on your email account (then immediately change your email password), use a mobile authenticator, dont repeat passwords between programs/websites/etc, create elaborate and strong nonsense based passwords (and store your passwords somewhere other than on the computer you are using for the game), and dont share personal information with people you dont really know.

I learned to do these things the hard way.
