The date and time for the livestream was announced when the release page for the Queen’s Jubilee went live. A link to this information was also included in the game launcher.

People were not required to go to Twitter or Facebook for information about the livestream. Anyone who didn’t want to look on social media for information about the livestream just had to look at the official website.

I originally had the Mursaat/White Mantle as one of the factions. They’re certainly a stronger pick than something like bandits or pirates, but there’s a lot of factors that go into these sorts of things. Creating a new army never before seen is pretty complex and takes a lot of time and iteration. Not only is there a large design cost for it, but art has to create a brand new environment, new armor, new character models, new weapons, and those are not simple tasks either. I played a ton of GW1, so I know their significance. I also knew how much time I had to do this, what my asset request bank was, and knew that I couldn’t do the Mursaat justice… especially with such a small area.
If I’m gonna do Mursaat and White Mantle, I (as a hardcore GW1 player) would want it to be epic and grand. We haven’t ..forgotten.. about them, I just have higher expectations for them than what I was capable of putting out in this release.

…and yes I’m proud of that reference.

For this release we stuck to enemies that can actually be seen fighting humans throughout the game. Ironically enough, that logic makes Flame Legion the weakest association. Of course, we could have included Separatists or Charr Renegades, but Queen Jennah would probably avoid any sort current sensitive foreign relation issues.

Looking over your Game Advisor report, there’s just a couple of things you may also want to try should the previous suggestions not resolve the issue for you:

1 – You’ve got a number of apps running. Msconfig certainly wouldn’t hurt to rule out any conflicting apps.

2 – Your system seems to be lacking mobo drivers. The reason I say this is we’re seeing a generic driver name here (this can be found under "System Devices):

Name: PCI standard host CPU bridge
Device ID: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1605&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00\3&18D45AA6&0&C5

Driver: n/a

I’d recommend looking up your mobo model # and downloading the latest Chipset, LAN, and Audio drivers to start.

3 – Playing with a Crossfire configuration, I’d also recommend downloading the latest CAP drivers as well if you haven’t already.

There is a benchmarking tool we use to see your average frame rate and performance in a real world 3D environment called Heaven. This is more for your own personal reference, but it should give you some idea as to what kind of performance you can expect in Guild Wars 2. If your numbers are abysmally low (say, in the single digits) then more than likely this is a hardware based issue and not an issue with the client itself.

To run Heaven,

1, Download “Heaven” from this site here: http://unigine.com/products/heaven/download/ (Free download)
2. Once on this page, click “Mirrored by TechPowerUP” under the “Windows Version” field. This will take you to TechPowerUp.com where you can click “Download Now” and select a download mirror.
3. Once downloaded, double click the file to run it.
4. Use the following settings:

API: DirectX 9
Tessellation: Disabled
Shaders: High
Anisotropy: 4x
Stereo 3D: Disabled
Multi monitor: Unchecked
Anti-aliasing: Off
Full Screen: Check marked
Resolution: System

Once running, click the “Benchmark” button in the top left corner. This will start the test. Once completed, the results will be shown on the screen and you can click “Save” to save your results.

Voila!

Aside from this, there’s a few different things you can check off as far as troubleshooting goes to increase performance:

- Make sure all of your drivers are up to date
- Disable any start-up apps via Msconfig to make sure none of them are conflicting with the client
- Make sure your hardware isn’t underclocked or have any sort of odd memory timings

etc.

To get the Liadri mini you just have to defeat the final boss of Queen’s Gauntlet. You don’t have to have five gambits active.

Error 10 is typically caused when you click the Join or Invite button without putting a name in the character name field.

I suggest you try clicking on the party icon in the upper left of the screen. You should see a box that says character name with the buttons join and invite underneath.

In order to invite someone to your party their character name needs to be in the character name field. You can either type the characters name in or target them. Once their name is in the character name box, you can then click the invite button. Doing this will send them an invite which they can either approve or deny.

Hey folks,

I wanted to take a moment and address this, it’s a totally fair question and something as a player (removing my GD hat) I’d wonder the same thing as well. As I covered in my blog post last month, a major focus of our living world releases in the second half of the year will be on focusing our living world releases on content that has a larger sense of persistence, and more permanent effect on the world.

You’ll start seeing this strategy come into effect with the release 2 weeks from now, and grow as the year continues. The story of these living releases will occur long enough for it to play out reasonably and then update as the story moves forward, while the content and playable experiences (except specific story beats) will persist forever as a result of that story occurring.

We still want to have some content that can happen each year, our holiday festivals, Super Adventure Box, Zephyr Sanctum, and the new Queens Gauntlet are all intended to be content that will regularly return. The goal of having these in our portfolio of event content that can occur again each year is they allow us the opportunity to easily build on something we’ve already completed as themes for some of our releases for year 2.

We wanted to get to the end of the first year of Gw2 with a decent amount of these events that can happen each year in our pocket, to allow our second year a lot more opportunities to lean on these while we focus on much larger projects we’ve been working on in the background. You will not see another new recurring style event in 2014 once our core portfolio of returning events have been completed with the Queens Gauntlet. You’ll already see the benefits of this as the return of Halloween, SAB, and Wintersday has given some of our teams time to focus on other bigger projects during that time.

As to the point of this specific release, there are a ton of permanent features and content. From the update of mini-games becoming permanent on a rotation, champion loot, solo queue PvP and leaderboards, dungeon reward changes, currency wallet, PvP leaver penalties (dishonorable), the FX culling system and more! However, we do recognize one of the components is returning content rather than constant, we need one more core event in our portfolio to fill out our ability to pull off the ambitious plans we have for next year. We too want to have an even larger playable content impact as stated in our goals for the second half of 2014, you’ll be see seeing that play out shortly.

Soon, you won’t need to ask “is this permanent or temporary?”, you’ll simply be able to look at story specific parts and know the story goes away when it’s done, and the playable core content remains and changes based on the outcomes of the story. As a player, I’d rather login and experience an event knowing the outcome and the results of the story will create content I can see and experience for years, than have it all go away 2 weeks later, and have no impact.

We’re also looking into options that would allow players to experience the story sequences that will go away as the story moves forward for those who missed them, but this is still a ways off as we look at various options.

I received Guild Wars 2 as a gift the past holiday. I played it on my pc, then got a new one. There was an account recovery issue which was bull, because I wanted to play GW2 on a new pc, after weeks of hastle, someone from arena.net called and we got it resolved. Fast forward to today, I got a $1500 computer, and I decided to download GW2 onto that, I tried to log in to the client with my new disk copy because of the last pc, and it gives me the SAME ERROR! I submitted a question and they say, “change your password” There is not a problem with the site, ITS THE CLIENT. I submitted another question today (8/2/13), making some of the words in caps so i can get a new result. Shed some light on this issue, please.

Honestly, there is no problem with the client. Millions of people download, register, and play the game without problem. Please update your existing ticket and the team will assist you with this individual issue. Please close out the new ticket — this is a continuing issue and it seems more reasonable to discuss in the existing ticket.

Yesterday I sent up a ticket to have my account password reset due to being hacked months ago. That was resolved around an hour ago which is awesome. But, when I logged on my characters were on Elona Reach, an EU server. I’m supposed to be on Blackgate, a US server. Support has been awesome, but I really don’t want to have to wait another day for my account to be completely fixed. I sent up another ticket immediately and haven’t gotten a reply. If there’s any way the process can be sped up I would greatly appreciate it. My ticket is 130804-002134. Thank you.

Please update your first ticket and submit your request. Please close any other tickets that you have submitted. As long as the team is actively working on something, or if there is another question related to a particularly issue, you should update the first ticket.

First post here on the forums, normally work my way around stuff but im really stumped with this one and the ticket system didnt help at all, i just got 2 automated emails – basiclly my account got hacked before and i managed to have it restored and rolled back to the last time i played, when i first got gw 2 i chose an american world (cant remember which one specific) as it was a while back and i never took notice since , but since ive had my account restored im now in a french world, Jade Sea [FR], and its really getting under my skin as i cant communicate with anyone at all because im english!! im about to go uni and have been saving like hell, last thing i want to do is be shelling out for gems to buy myself back into a world which i never left myself in the first place – ticketing system has got me nowhere , any suggestions on what i could do?! cheers peeps

No, that generally is not acceptable, for obvious reasons. I can’t personally think of any reasons to use those letters — I’d strongly recommend that you choose other letters or another tag. The point here is that if the tag is found to be used to mask a reference to something offensive — and 99% of the time, the use of those letters is intended in an offensive way — the guild will be disbanded and then, as suggested above, you’ll lose all guild achievements.

Anyone who has been around this forum for any amount of time knows that we have detailed game records, and we’re not going to accept bogus claims like, “I only said something one time!”

I found a single chat string with three uses of the F-word. I can get more strings, but come on, let’s look at this clearly (and truthfully): You swore, extensively.

The Rules of Conduct makes our expectations clear, the User Agreement also outlines them, and both are accepted by players. The fact we have a filter that players may or may not elect to use does not furnish any player with “A license to swear.” Please feel free to search for more information about this, but those blocked for offensive language generally do serve the full three-day suspension. As will you.

Actually it’s two minutes. And the map capacity of Crown Pavilion is limited to 75 before it starts to create overflows.

75 people, 6 people at a time, 2 minute matches = 75/6 *2 = 25 minutes

Obviously some people will finish their matches faster, but even if they finish in 1 minute that is still a 12 minute wait, and I doubt everyone will finish that fast.

some will finish it faster, and some will lose before those 2 minutes are up… and if they manage to hold out for two minutes, then they lose… which isn’t something they’re going to repeat often.
Also while you wait there is a bunch of content below you. Not everyone is going there for the 1v1 gauntlet.

You can see how many people are waiting on the NPC who you’ll need to talk to in order to get into the arena. Most fights will not actually take two minutes. The arena will admit the next person whenever someone wins or loses as well. Also there’s a lot of other stuff going on in the map. You guys should check it out before you jump to too many conclusions.

You can upgrade you ticket to point out your error, but as mentioned above, submitting a duplicate ticket truly does slow the response process. I would assume by this point the second ticket has been closed and any new info has been merged into the first. If you have not yet received a response, I am sure you will get one very soon.
