Yes, you will be able to play the Queen’s Gauntlet after August 20th.
The WXP boost is to basically everything and should significantly increase the rate at which characters gain ranks.
Please post them in this thread if you come across any sort of bug that fits in the following categories:
- Armor/clothing art issues (textures, placement, clipping…)
- Weapon art issues (textures, placement, effects, clipping…)
- Character model issues (textures, effects…)
General Guidelines:
-Take a screenshot of the issue
-Take a screenshot of your equipment on the Hero Panel (H)
- List your Race, Sex and Class
- Be as descriptive as possible
-Take a screenshot
—If the issue relates to clothing/armor/weapons—
- List the names of every piece of armor/clothing/weapon equipped (this includes the level requirement) when you encountered the issue
- If you can, list where you acquired the item (which NPC, what map location, which dungeon, etc…)
Note on clipping issues: While we understand the desire to have all clipping issues resolved, the way our items are designed sometimes causes some small issues that cannot be fixed easily. We’re looking for severe clipping (like your shield is impaling you or your daggers are completely hidden by your coat.) Things like hair clipping or minor clipping of weapons into armor are sometimes unavoidable.
Please attach the screenshots to your forum post rather than hosting it elsewhere.
If you have a video of the issue, please upload those to YouTube (unlisted) and link that along with your other bug information here.
For more Bugging Best Practices, see this thread.
We appreciate everyone’s help with these issues. Thank you!

This is unfortunately a bug right now but what I can say is that we have a fix we will get in as soon as we are able. For the time being you will have to have everyone exit your server so it can reset if your server gets stuck. Try to avoid using /gameend but you can still use /setscore

You should have gotten some of the staff (possibly CMs/PR people) to do some of the voices. Martin might have made a good Charr.
Martin would make an awesome charr, but he’s not a SAG-AFTRA member.
The only issue I have with the Mac version is that the scroll button on the mouse does not zoom the view or the map (as it does in the Windows version). Has this been addressed? Is there some way that I can fix it myself?
Hey Kelkka,
For this issue have you tried the steps here?: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/Mouse-Wheel-and-Camera-Zoom/first#post241004
This should allow you to use the magic mouse in the same manner as regular mice.
Greetings all,
Since we do have a larger on-going thread regarding this topic, we’ve decided to close this one and direct you to that one.

We adjusted the frequency of when certain PC lines trigger in a previous release.
From the character select screen, it will show you the info on your home server in the character summary in the lower left corner. You can also click in “World Selection” and it will show you your current home server.
This is why it’s a bad idea to hire bigshot celebrities to voice an MMO.
Honestly, did the marketing team believe whether or not people like Nolan North voices the main character, would decide whether or not people buy the game?
Now because of decisions like that, our playable character has to be mute for most the upcoming updates! <_<
I mean, granted Nolan North is a great voice actor, does anyone actually care enough for it to be a deciding factor?
A couple of things here:
- Marketing had no involvement in casting the player character. This was a design-driven decision.
- The unfortunate side effect of having the player speak with 10 different voices is that it is cost prohibitive, and that the lines are shared. Dialog does not deviate, which means that a charr male PC says the same line as a sylvari female in cinematics in circumstances where any player can talk.
We’re glad you like it.
Hey Vakos,
if you’re interested in participating in WvW activities, I might recommend you to have a look at the World Recruitment sub-forum. Over there you’ll find many threads in which people from different servers gladly help you decide.
Whichever server you may choose, we wish you best of luck on your adventures in Tyria.
jroshq, can you check your bank and see if it has been unlocked?
Aenaos, we need some system info from you. What OS are you playing on? Is this behavior consistent? Can you give us some information on any firewalls you may be using? Finally, please provide us with the specs of your processor, graphics card, and internet speeds.
We’ll try to figure out what’s going on and help you through this.
I think the cause is cost-based. Any line spoken by the player character needs to be voice ten times (5 races x 2 genders). And it is unclear to me whether all ten of the voice actors are even available, since there has been NO addition of player voicing AT ALL since the launch date.
Having said that, I would love more player character voice work, as I am especially fond of the sound of my main character’s voice (male sylvari).
This is partially true. It’s very expensive to voice the player since it costs 10x (or more in some cases, since some actors are paid above scale depending on ability, availability, etc.) for each line recorded. We also have moved away from using cinematic conversations (the two-shot close ups) which were the primary delivery system of PC VO. Outside of the painterly cinematics and PC chatter (the stuff that’s automatically triggered when you’re low on health, suffering from conditions, leveling up, etc.) we don’t have proper control of triggering PC lines. It’s a technical issue that’s partly tied to having multiple PCs in a party.
So, while we can certainly solve these technical hurdles in the future we currently don’t have support for PC lines outside of the conditions listed above. And considering the fact that PC lines are shared across all races and genders, it doesn’t leave a lot of flexibility for making each PC talk differently. We are considering other ways to let players express themselves in the game through choice (actions, unspoken conversations, etc.), though those discussions are ongoing. Will the player speak in the future? Probably, but how and where are still under debate.
So I looked into this, and I thought it was fixed. Are you still seeing it? Where are you seeing it? What’s getting through? Keep in mind that condition damage will still tick, but NEW condies should not be able to go through.

I’m still in love with the guy who was the Subdirector Blingg. (CITIZENS!)
That’s Jon St. John. He’s really awesome to work with.
Queen’s Gauntlet will return, possibly as part of the activity rotation or even other events. In any case, you’ll be able to complete those achievements at a later date.
The roll is absolutely the same on each.
Devon can you please answer the question about why we aren’t able to kick people who are offline from a party still please?!? We would love to know this
That is totally out of my area. I realize it occurs in WvW, but it is related to the tech we use for parties, etc. While I’ll look into it, I can’t say as I have any ability to fix it.
Devon, we should say bye bye to you, cause in 11 months nothing has changed.
When I’ve been working on WvW for 11 months, then we’ll talk. I’ve been here for 5, so I still have 6 more before you boot me for someone else. Also, the orb mechanic is coming back.
Devon,
A few questions/suggestions hopefully you can chime in on.
1. Any news/updates on making winning the match up more rewarding? There is very little fanfare or even acknowledgement that your server won. The passives are ok I guess, but at the end of the day it just feels hollow.
2. WvW Abilities – All in all I have to admit, they are just boring. Passives blah, some of the siege abilities are ok. I know you have to be careful with balance… but I would really like to see more creativity here.
3. Any chance of getting WvW Rank locked unique skins? Maybe an Aura around you? Something/anything unique to WvW to show off??? ( Same for SPVP, but thats a different topic)
4. Guild Claiming really needs to mean more. Defending in general needs to mean more.
5. I honestly think with the modest size of your maps and how many people are crammed into them. The waypoints upgrades should be removed.
6. Commander System – That is all the needs to be said.
7. How about DAOC style killspam? Just throwing that out there. I know a lot of people that loved it. At the end of the day we all want to be the hero!
Ok this is turning into a wall of text so I’ll stop here.
1) There should be some movement on this in the very near future. And that version will not be the final version either, but we wanted to make some changes quickly.
2) We will continue to work on these abilities in the hopes of making them more fun and providing more variety. We are however quite set on not adding power creep, at least not much, which makes them fairly constrained. We have yet to unleash our craziest ideas.
3)That is not something I had thought of, but I think it’s a good idea and I’ll at least start the ball rolling. Skins take forever and a day to be made though, so it won’t be for months if we do it at all.
4) We will update guild claiming in the future, but there are other tasks we are focused on at the moment. It’s also something that we want to do a very serious overhaul to, so it isn’t something that can happen in bits an pieces.
5) I agree and we will likely remove them at some point in the future. However, to do so requires additional work because of the complexities of the upgrade system. It’s not as simple to do as it should be. But we have to work with the tools we have.
6) We are in the process of figuring out just what we’ll need to do to the commander system to make it what it should be. Much like guild claiming it is not a small overhaul though and it won’t be in place for quite some time.
7) It is on our list of things to do, but it is not going to happen until we’ve handled some other, more serious things. Like the commander system. While I certainly wish I had a legion of designers and programmers at my disposal, we have a finite amount of resources to be put to work and we have to prioritize them according to what is necessary for the game. Sometimes that means doing things that have seemingly little impact to y’all, but eventually pay dividends in other ways.
Hope that is informative.

We are continue to attempt to put more and more Living World content into WvW and while some releases do better than others, it should continue to be more integrated in the future.
The Crown Pavilion should be is in the game until September 3rd.
EDIT: Sorry for the choice of words. And yes there will be another Living World release on the 20th.

We’ve got thick skins, but I certainly appreciate constructive feedback. It’s also much more likely to receive a response both in the forums and in the game. So, as always, make good suggestions in a positive way and you’ll see changes. Cheers!
Are the orbs coming back? No. Are we bringing back the buff? Yes, although the way you get it and hold it is going to be drastically different. Are you going to see a major map change in concert with this? Yes. Is it coming soon? Most definitely.
If this orb replacement gives a stat bonus to the zergiest server, I feel like a lot of guilds will quit.
Here’s the thing to remember, it may buff the better servers for a time, but if it is relatively easy to take from a better server, it isn’t going to cause nearly the same problems that the original buff did. I will say that when this goes back into the game, we’ll continue to monitor the effects and make changes as necessary.
This guy has it right here. Someone that exclusively plays WvW should be able to get rewards just like those that exclusively play PVE. I’d dare say that there should be WvW legendaries.
We are continuing to make progress on these things. You can get ascended gear with badges now, the rank up chests have decent loot in them, including chances for precursors, all of the keep and tower lords drop the champion loot. The daily achievement is extremely easy to get in WvW, we’ve made a change (going live soon) to make many of the events group events to help with monthlies. Believe me, I am aware of the fact that the rewards in WvW don’t always keep pace with PvE, but we are moving to address that as much as we can. There will be an update on achievements in the not too distant future which will help to address the achievement point imbalance as well.
because people will be disappointed if they tell us about this cool feature which later gets taken out because it doesn’t work as intended.
This would be the main reason. Also, until things are actually completed, they are likely/liable to change. Rather than getting everyone up in a lather about things that aren’t ever going to be in the game, we keep a tight wrap on details until they are ready for release. With our release schedule, that actually tends to be pretty close to when you all see them in game, so we don’t talk about details until that point.
Devon’s a PR.
What the heck is a PR? I am a designer and the coordinator of the WvW team. I am in charge of making the decisions as to the implementation of and final versions of anything that gets put into WvW. While part of my job is to post on the forums to keep y’all informed, it’s also part of my job to not make promises that we can’t keep. So, my answers come off as vague, because that’s as much as I can say. If I’m saying anything, you should consider that to mean something, because if it is a topic I have absolutely no information on, I won’t talk about it at all.
I agree with kitten , take a break from commanding. Whether you roam around tagless, play some PvE, play some PvP, or just take a breather from the game, WvW will be there when you are ready to re-up. And it’ll probably be even better!

While we appreciate the feedback, and we are going to make changes soon that will at least partially address these types of concerns, it is absolutely 100% not the case that WvW is declining in people playing, play time, etc. We’ve seen steady improvement on all those counts since the start of the year and I’m hopeful that some of the changes coming soon will bring even more people into WvW.
As with everything, I’d love to give dates, but until everything is 100% ready to go, I can’t. Suffice to say they will be in as soon as humanly possible.
Are the orbs coming back? No. Are we bringing back the buff? Yes, although the way you get it and hold it is going to be drastically different. Are you going to see a major map change in concert with this? Yes. Is it coming soon? Most definitely.
There are some updates coming soon, quite soon even, that hopefully will dispel this. Say bye-bye to the Quaggan.
Sorry about the titles. This was kind of an oversight. I am nearly certain that the Gauntlet will return. Possibly as part of the activity rotation someday. Ideally we’ll extend it with more tiers of bosses, gambits, and achievements (and titles). I’m not sure if its possibly to retro-actively associate a new title with an old achievement but I will investigate. If so perhaps we can add some titles when the Gauntlet returns.
The Pavilion is basically a big venue. I believe it’s completely possible someday that it could be used for other types of events all together.
Keep watching the skies.
New maps take a long time to be built. And even once they are built it takes a long time to get them tested until they are ready to be released. Rest assured, as soon as we can release new maps, we will. And, while it isn’t an entirely new map, you can look forward to some changes to the borderlands soon. Let’s just say you should get your krait killing in now.
I do appreciate the helpful group here in the Account Issues Forum! <3

One of my associates just kindly forwarded me purchase logs, and our records show that everyone in this thread except Sartori received gems in relation to his or her purchases. I know that transactions may take a few hours, when the store is busy, but it appears that everyone is good to go… except poor Sartori, who thanks goodness has filed a ticket and will be helped as soon as possible. (Sartori, you’re not getting charged, but you’re also not getting your gems. Contacting your CC company was a good idea, as was submitting that ticket.)
We’re sorry for any confusion, and of course if some of you guys feel that things are not settled up properly, you’re welcome to submit a ticket and the team will carefully review the entire transaction history.

If you send the link directly to me that would be great, and a video would probably be a lot easier than trying to tell me where the area is by saying “That one wall, next to that broken thing, next to all those Risen.”
Thanks!
All sticky threads except the one about the Development Plans will eventually move to the wiki. Of course we’ll be listening to feedback from developers here and if this is something that developers think goes against their practice, we may change our plans.
Note that the wiki can notify you by email of change to each of these documents, which pretty improves on this thread being updated (except that you’ll have to look at 2 different sites).
Yeah people don’t really look at the suggestions section much. So it’s not a place that will show how popular a suggestion is with the players.
The Dev Team does. So does the Community Team. Whilst we don’t respond to each suggestion, we do review them.
Queen’s Jubilee
- Queen’s Gauntlet: Adjusted the rewards given for defeating Subject 7, the veteran ooze.
- Queen’s Gauntlet: Fixed issue where Subject 7’s Oozes would not despawn after a fight in certain circumstances.
WvW
- Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented loot from dropping off players in WvW.
General
- Fixed the “Daily Karma Spender” achievement.
- Fixed a crash bug.
Performance
- Fixed a bug that would cause some maps to take longer to load than was necessary.
You didn’t elect Evon, expect no sympathy from him.
Apologies, I didn’t realize it had gotten full, I’ve repaired the issue.
Could you please provide more details? Are you talking about the Pantheon Waypoint or the Rotten Armada Waypoint? What steps did you take to “get the waypoint behind him and continue?”
It seems like the only way to be able to reach the Mursaat Artifact in the Rotten Armada area would be to kill him to open the path leading there, but if there is another way to complete the chain I’m not thinking of, please let me know.
Thanks!
We’re closing this thread as we have an existing thread regarding this news. Please be sure to post here instead: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/events/Update-on-EU-PAX-Qualifier-Tournament
I am wondering whether CCs documentation has been put through the same level of scrutiny, since nobody at Anet could have foreseen TC getting disqualified until now.
Is it possible that they (Car Crash) will turn out to be ineligible as well?
While we were investigating the eligibility of TC, we did the same diligence for CC so that in case of an issue we had our backup plan in place. CC will be eligible and will be playing.
As a person who owns scorpions and a tarantula, I like Frostbite too
But yes, Scott did an amazing job. Our writers are all pretty awesome.
