The catmander tag will work as well. If you have either the catmander or commander tag you can buy the commander’s wings of war.
The 4% is correct for WvW and PvP. Unfortunately the patch note missed this information. Sorry for any confusion!
There is a 1 hour period at the end of each season where already running leagues matches are allowed to finish, but no new league matches are allowed to begin. It was done this way to ensure every league match was completed before finalizing the leaderboard and giving out rewards.
Before off-season ranked was introduced, the button was disabled for this final hour. The button should be more clear and the API could probably be updated to give the duration of the lockout period. If the button doesn’t say the season is active when you click it then you won’t be playing a league match.

The next season starts on 8/22. This does mean that the new elite specs will show up mid-season. Should be interesting.
Like map not over dense with annoying mobs like HoT, don’t have to feel like I’m in constant combat or running for my life. Mounts, didn’t want but neutral for now. First mastery point I find on the start map a timed mini game – do not like. Unidentified loot mechanic no thanks as I understand it now. 100 words or fewer.
Hearts felt grindy. No map meta left me without any focus on the map. Bounty events were okay but felt like any other champ event.

Now, I don’t want anyone to feel that we’ll toss out a comment that’s 102 words. The length is a suggestion more than a hard-and-fast rule. I do know that having that “view from 10,000 feet” can be very helpful, and other threads are great for getting into the nitty gritty details.

Would it still occur if people let the fragments move slightly from their spawns before perma stunning?
We haven’t had a chance to fully check all the edge cases, but right now it seems like once they start moving they can be safely locked down.
The initial 10 stacks don’t matter to the achievement. Also, only fragments matter for this achievement, coalescences (the orange bar) have no impact.
I wanted to give an update. Fix still hasn’t been found, in large part because we just figured out how to reproduce it (which I’ll explain in a moment). I do want to clarify some points about how the achievement is scripted.
- When the anomaly spawns into the map it sets a flag that says “I haven’t absorbed any fragments.”
- When the fragments spawn in, they path to the anomaly, if they get to it, they apply the Leyline Accumulation Buff, unset the flag, and destroy themselves. (this is the only thing that unsets the flag)
- If the event succeeds, and that flag is still set, everyone who participated in the event gets the achievement.
My suspicion had always been around the pathing of the fragments to the anomaly. As you may have seen in our game, sometimes when NPC can’t get where it is trying to go it just teleports there. It turns out this is sort of what is happening here (and thanks to our QA representative Brett for actually finding this).
The actual bug is: if the fragments get stunned immediately when they appear, and stay stun locked for too long, they will just teleport to the anomaly and finish up their scripting.
We’re still trying to figure out why they are doing that, or at the very least, how to prevent them from doing that. I’ll update again as soon as I have more info.
Have you tried this with the 64-bit client? (You can get it from your account page.)
While we don’t recommend using it long term… the command line arguments -email, -password and -nopatchui can be used to bypass the launcher.
We tracked down an error happening on a couple servers last night and we believe it’s responsible for demo character progress being wiped. Those servers have been taken down so we don’t believe the wipe will happen again and there is no risk to non-demo characters.
If your character is unable to progress you may have to create a new demo character to play through the story again, though both demo characters should have access to the raptor for the weekend once it is unlocked for either.

I’ve got a task to look in to what is going on with this. Haven’t dug in to it yet so I’m not sure if it is a problem on player skills side or Arkk’s side.
So Avengers CAN still stomp the wrong person, its just way less likely. Thanks to some new tech I could potentially rebuild them… again… so that they DEFINITELY can’t stomp the wrong person.
Low on my priority list but yeah just saying.

Just ASP. The way the spectate stuff works currently doesn’t make it feasible to open it up to everyone. It would be nice if we were able to change this someday, but it would be quite a ways down the road.

I’m someone that gets motion sickness incredibly easily from screen motion. And the raptor was no problem for me. I use the settings below. They keep me well zoomed out with a wide field of view. I also happen to have my Motion Blur (bottom of the Graphics Settings tab) fairly low, near the start of the first bit of thick white line.
Try those settings, those who are getting queasy. It means characters are tiny so you may miss out on clothing and face details on others nearby, but it’s so nice not to puke!

I’m sorry that you’re having this issue. I wonder, have you tried lowering your Visual Blur setting? That is a specific recommendation from the team, and they feel it may help with this problem.

The total number of pips per week did not change.
The Elonian faces do appear slightly lighter in the cheeks/forehead than our original faces when they have darker skin tones, and there may be something of a variance between the face and body of a specific character. This was intended because it helps call out/highlight the features of the face.

Is the HP and toughness of pets in WvW actually a bug or it’s the new mechanic? My fernhound died from the veteran harpy, which is quite a joke. If it’s how it is from now, then you just killed the core ranger and you assume we will all buy the new expansion. No matter what is the plans for the new expac, rangers didn’t deserve such a nerf bat in the nuts.

- Improved server performance in Siren’s Landing.
- Fixed an issue in which the Magic Carpet Glider did not appear on asura.
- Fixed an issue in which the items in the Dark Harvest collection would not progress the achievement and would cause client crashes.
- Fixed an issue in which reward tracks for Expansion 2 were showing up improperly for WvW and PvP.

Another way to check what territory you are in is by looking at the objective icon at the top of the screen next to the score UI. It will always show the objective of the territory you are in. It’s a quick way to check territory color.

Reiterating the need to look into the actual healing coming from the new minor trait ‘Rugged Growth’. It still heals for far less then what is on the tooltip.
Would be cool to fully benefit from a new minor trait that has replaced the beloved Bark Skin.
I am not aware of this one and cannot say what’s up, whether it’s a problem with the skill stats or with the description. Thanks for bringing it up.

The end of season rewards are normally handed out through bouncy chest. Do you have a lot of chests you haven’t opened?
Merged about half a dozen threads, and I’m hoping that this thread will give you all the info you need on two significant bugs for the Ranger.

Hey guys,
I met up with Irenio, who was heading into my area of the building to talk to me about this very bug. As it turns out, it’s quite a complicated issue and that’s why it took a while to address. But… it has been addressed, yaaay! The fix for this issue should be going out very soon, perhaps before the end of the week.
Naturally, for something this complicated, there are a lot of “layers to the onion” in getting it resolved, but it is very much in the devs’ minds, and help is on the way for our beloved, but lazy-seeming, pets!

The idea behind the new icons was that we weren’t pleased with the readability of the old ones. As others have noted, you had to already know what the rank art looked like to know whether someone had achieved a higher or lower rank.
That being said, considering the feedback, we’ll revert them.
