I am afraid there is no way we can reimburse those tokens. You indicate that you bought them “accidentally” so this was not provoked by an error or internal bug and therefore, although unfortunate, there is nothing we can really do with this.

Inquiring as to how or why i wasn’t getting fractal skins. Since then, i’ve run the dungeon still, EVERY. SINGLE.DAY. Trying to get a skin. That’s over 60 times(26 and 30). To compare to other dungeons, that would be over 3600 tokens, almost two sets of armor and weapons. Not a single skin. I’m a warrior, i can use almost anything in the kittening book. But i get nothing. This isn’t fun. Why were fractal skins not made to be traded for relics? Hell you even made Ascended rings tradeable for relics.
Anet, please, change this as well.

I’ll take a look at that step tomorrow. NPCs are capable of rezzing players, and we try to set any named NPC so they’ll rezz if they’re out of combat, but we have to set it on a story-by-story basis, so it’s quite possible that we missed that step.

Check your computer’s clock to make sure the date/time/time zone are correct. There’s a bug where the achievement list is based on your computer’s time, even though the “real” time is used by the server to track achievements.
So the guy tasked with tracing and fixing the bug doesn’t have a way to inspect the state of the bugged servers? Er… that doesn’t sound very efficient. Do they at least let you use metal cutlery, or are you stuck with a spork?
On the test server I have access to a lot more debug info—it’s not available on the Live servers because it slows things down too much, or it’s disabled to keep people from trying to cheat/hack to get it. (For example, I can’t insta-kill creatures on Live, but I can on Test.) So I will try to get repro steps so I can look at it on a test server, because I can only get limited information on Live.

I asked support about this a few months ago and they are unable to change display names.
They are unable to do it upon request because it takes too much time to do it frivolously. Plus, we have a policy of not changing randomly to avoid people “escaping their own history.” “I don’t like my name” or even “I used my first name” isn’t a valid reason to reverse policy.
In the case of the OP, there is a very valid reason to change the Display Name and I believe that the team will be able to help him.

Since you don’t have your serial code, they will work with other details. Don’t worry about that. You do not need to have your serial code most of the time. Of course in cases of disputed account ownership, the serial code is very important. Support can answer your specific questions, but they’re more on board to answer questions about situations, not hypothetical “What if I need help in the future” speculative questions.

Hang on….The OP said Character, not account. Your account can only be logged in once on 1 PC at a time. Now if you have more than one account then yes, you can do this, but no you cannot login multiple characters from the same account.

I took the “and more accounts” to mean that he wanted to access multiple accounts. It’s not possible to access a single account more than once, so playing two characters on the same account at the same time is not possible.
Hi again Taris – Have you tried repairing the client yet? I also noticed that it looks like you do not have a valid installation of Direct X. This could be due to corruption or you may just not have it installed. Either way we should update this.

We put in a fix for this issue with the 1/28 build, and I personally transmuted my flame eye onto another helm (and it worked fine), so it might just be specific armor pieces that are still causing problems.
The thing that’s fun about the orb, was that feeling of being chased and using all your skills to narrowly stay alive. The fights that break out when enemies are trying to bring down the orb runner, and allies trying to keep the carrier alive.
The thing that isn’t fun, is when the orb carrier is rarely in any real danger of being caught or stopped. When the other team doesn’t even bother trying to chase, because they know there is no chance to catch the carrier.
Yes, we fully expect that some specs are going to be better than others at running the orb. However, the goal was just to make sure that none of those specs felt unstoppable. Sword rangers actually make excellent orb runners.

Ride the Lightning does not drop the orb. Attempting to stealth or being combo’d into stealth does not drop the orb. The stealth just fails, with IMMUNE text.
While carrying the orb, the orb is considered a buff. You can indeed use invulnerability skills while carrying it (Mist Form, Endure Pain, Elixir S, ect.)
Shadowsteps are considered teleports. Infilitrator’s Arrow, Lightning Flash and the like will all cause you to drop the orb.

I want to help my friend with his crafting title and It will require me to send small amounts of materials to him via mail system. Will this get me banned? I am standing by the trading post so he does not have to run back and forth… ? We’re not buying big bulks just small amounts that we calculated exactly to get to the next lvl (i.e. 200->225).
You are welcome to help your friend. It would be very unusual for someone to be suspended for trading with a friend. Yes, it has happened, but in those cases — where we can see that the trade is not delivery of sold gold — the account is reinstated as quickly as possible.
This is a question to any representative; what is your policy on copyrighted character names? I had heard a long time ago that some people got banned for using these types of names but I’m not sure if that was because they were offensive or what.
I would like to use a character that has a popular band name. Is this acceptable in your policy so long as I don’t “pretend to be them or represent them in any way”?

No one would be banned for using an unacceptable name in this sort of situation. Bans are forever; suspensions are temporary. People involved in using disallowed names are required to rename the character(s). It’s remotely possible they will serve a brief time-out. But we almost never ban (terminate an account) for the first instance of a Naming Policy violation.
Since a band is not an individual person, it would be less risky a name than choosing, say, Taylor Swift. However, if the band name is copyright — and many are — I recommend you not use it. You could use a variation, like “REM Fan” or something.
But is there a way to link two GW2 accounts and if there is what will be kept from each account?
If I understand your question, the answer is no. One Guild Wars account can be tied to one Guild Wars 2 account. You cannot share attainments in Guild Wars across multiple Guild Wars 2 accounts.
If you are asking about merging two Guild Wars 2 accounts, again, the answer is no, that cannot be done.
I don’t know if it is the right topic to put my problem in. Had a blocked account, flagged as a fraudulent charge and so on blah blah. Long story short i have new code, and Suzanne from NCsoft Payment support wrote: “At this time, we have reviewed your account and have decided to release the account to you. The serial code has been permanently disabled as a result of the purchase using a fraudulent credit or debit card or stolen PayPal account.” and “In order to regain access to the game, you must re-purchase Guild Wars 2 again and apply a new, valid code to your account.” So as far as i understand i should be able to add new code to my existing account. Thing is i don’t see this option anywhere in account management. Am i looking for right thing, or should i register this code as new one, just insert my old account data? Thanks in advance!
