There’s a few different things that could be causing this error message but without any diagnostic information from you it will be a little more difficult to troubleshoot. We can still try a few things. To start, have you tried a DNS flush? If not then to do this, please try the steps below:
1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the R key. This should bring up the “Run” dialogue box.
2. In that box, type “cmd” without the quotes, and click the “OK” button. A DOS window should open.
3. Enter the following command below and press enter: ipconfig /flushdns
This should clear your DNS cache. You may need to perform this command a few times.
Hi Saika – Mobile connections aren’t really recommended for playing Guild Wars 2 as they can be unstable. While there’s nothing wrong with using them, you may encounter issues such as this.
Hi Colonel Autumn – Unfortunately for this particular issue there isn’t really the “one fix to fix them all” sort of thing we can do, as the resolution tends to vary. That being said I’d highly recommend creating a support ticket so that we can better assist you one on one because we may need to collect a bit of information from you that you may not wish to post on the forums.

I’m sorry to hear that. I know that sometimes we simply cannot offer the restoration. For instance, if we cannot view data that shows that someone outside the player’s location accessed the account, then we cannot establish that the account was compromised. In that case, a restoration isn’t possible. There are a few others situation that make a roll-back/restoration unfeasible, as well. If you have questions about the fact that you were declined a restoration, you’re welcome to discuss it with an agent in your existing ticket.
Hey guys this does appear to be a known issue with HD 7000 series cards that is currently being looked into. At this time there is no workaround currently available. Sorry for any inconvenience!
A team member generally will review the account within a few hours of the time the ticket comes in. There may be other things that the agent needs to examine, but generally folks are hearing back and getting back into the game within 24 hours. That’s not a hard-and-fast figure, but they generally do work quite quickly.

Which step are you on? Waiting for a “major overhaul” isn’t going to happen without more information. As I’ve mentioned before, I play all of the story steps with an equal level character (not downscaled) and haven’t run into any consistent issues, but if there are specific steps that are too difficult, I can look at adjusting them.
We’ve attempted numerous bug fixes for this issue, but unfortunately, none of them have solved the problem yet. We’re taking another look at now, though, in search of “the one fix to fix them all,” so to speak.

Hey everyone, I’m here to help clear up some of the confusion on this issue!
First, our apologies for the inaccurate response: your system clock does not affect your loot drops (sorry, conspiracy theorists). We’ve corrected this information for future responses.
If you’re not receiving loot from a champ/vet, it’s most likely because you’re not getting kill credit. We’re currently working on some improvements to this so that it will be easier to get rewards when you kill a creature.
She’s still going to heal while stealthed, I’m not removing that mechanic entirely – just making it less intense. I’d rather not go into the numbers, but you will still need to DPS. You will still need to do good spark runs or she will heal herself up and punish you for it. Groups not knowledgeable of the mechanic and not coordinating will still find this fight very difficult if not impossible because the mechanic still exists. It’s just not as brutal for those who learn it and know what they are doing, and can perform properly.
I think the threshold for a victorious fight should be knowledge and execution of mechanics. Difficulty should come from how flawless we want that execution to be (how forgiving it is to not be perfect), not how many times you should repeatedly execute it.
I’m not sure what I understand the issue. It says in the description ‘Town clothes cannot be worn in combat’ so it’s pretty clear that it’s not going to affect your normal attack skills.
Personally, I want more difficulty in dungeons, not easier dungeons that everyone can beat. And no, false difficulty from Agony in FotM doesn’t count. Fractals are no harder than any other dungeon, while some Fractals are arguably easier than some other dungeons.
I agree that more difficulty would be better, but a DPS check really isn’t difficulty in my opinion. It’s a mechanic, sure, but after you learn all her mechanics its just down to raw numbers, and I don’t agree that is as fun as running sparks and using tears to cleanse people. Right now Simin just forces you to bring high DPS with you, which I’m not a fan of. Its a tough fight for the wrong reason, and her core mechanics should be more emphasized, not her health bar.
Hey folks, sorry about not having posted in here for a while! But update time!
I took another look at Simin after the spark AI fix, and got more feedback concerning the difficulty. The sparks were a step in the right direction, but it wasn’t enough. I’m going to reduce her stealth healing this time around while I consider other possible changes. As it stands right now she has some nice mechanics with the tears and the spark running, which emphasizes the teamwork we like to see. However all that aside, her healing turns it from a fun mechanics fight to a more hard-nosed DPS check for even the most mechanically skilled groups.
Personally I would much rather see people having fun with mechanics than having meet a DPS check. Considering also there isn’t a visible meter to check your group DPS versus her healing, groups can spend hours doing this and reaching the same result, despite meeting the mechanical skill threshold.
I will eventually change her stealth mechanic so she doesn’t heal during it and instead does something else (like an enrage moment where she is invulnerable), but for now I’ll just take her healing down a peg to reduce the DPS needed to overcome the fight, so people can enjoy the mechanics of it.
Without knowing your class/traits/level there’s not much I can say, other than the generic tips:
- Make sure your gear is up to spec
- Durability is usually much more effective than sheer damage in story steps—bosses are almost always veteran level
- You will get levelled down to the story step level if you want to outlevel the step and try again, but new skills/traits/etc. that you’ve gained access to will help

The opening post asked specific questions, but the replies so far barely answered those and went into completely different directions.
That’s a great reference, nice catch! The back story on that is way back when Gene (Dixie’s owner) was still alive we used to take new hires from ArenaNet down to Dixie’s to meet the man. There were a lot of great stories that came out of those trips and the insanely crazy hot-sauce known as “the man”, along with Gene taunting everyone who would either eat, or not eat it. One trip even included an ambulance visit for one lucky Anet employee.
Sadly Gene passed away a few years ago and with it the tradition, but I hear Porter down in Tacoma is still carrying on in his dad’s footsteps.
I know these aren’t intended, but they definitely are jumping challenges.
1st was a pain to get too, involves a lot of jump shotting up and down cliff edges that meant death if you missed or overshot, and a tiny hole you have to jump through(ironically, I the charr made it through on the second try, but my human bud couldn’t do it to save a baby quaggan.)
2nd (3rd picture) wasn’t bad only two jumps were commonly fatal for about 6 deaths total. Took forever though, one jump you have to land on an invisible lip of an edge. But of course, it was definitely worth it. This is on top of Cathedral of Zephyrs I believe.
Both of these are in Malchors Leap and require jump shot(an engineer) or one of its bundle counter-parts from karma vendors.
That one never got finished. I’m sure it will be at some point. That’s another map I worked on midpoint. Hand placed about a trillion bits of grass and detritus all along the walls, hahaha! But Aaron added the JP in the polish pass, and I guess they never got around to scripting it.
No, it doesn’t give you more trait points, it just increaseses how many you can put into each tree. 50 pts at L60 is correct. (You start gaining them at L11.)

I have problems with my support account currently too. That means I cannot access it. But you can still open and process tickets, because you will receive the answers via mail. I am currently doing so.
I only have one email. I used to have three, but the other two were constantly being hacked, so I got rid of them. My current email is completely secure and has never been hacked, so I kept it.
And because of that, I can’t make a support account.
I have been banned for 72 hours for… some reason. I was just banned today. I tried to create a support account, but I was not allowed because I used the same e-mail address as I used to create my main account.
I shouldn’t have to make another email just to create a support account.
I only use my email for game registration purposes. I have never had nor found a need to use it for personal correspondence, since I own a phone and have FB. How can I find out -why- I was banned and what I was banned -for- without a support account?
This is frustrating, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

An account suspension is temporary, usually lasting no longer than 72 hours (although sometimes, for serious issues or for repeated violations, the suspension will last longer.)
Once an account is closed, the names are not freed up for reuse. So your friend would need to (1) purchase from a legitimate source, or using a valid credit card, and (2) use new character names.

Please use care in tossing in threats of legal action. At the point someone does that, the team may be unable to assist you and you may be referred solely to our legal counsel… who cannot assist you with your password issue. So if you are wise, despite your obvious and understandable frustration, you will forego the threats.
Check your time zone, then. It sounds like your clock is about 3 hours off. If it’s set to the wrong time zone, it will LOOK correct but cause weird things like the daily and forum display bugs.

Correct, they cannot see your email address — they will see your Display Name. If they say otherwise, I’d like to hear from them and see a screenshot. But we’ve been unable to determine that this is anything other than a client-side (your side, only) issue, meaning YOU see it but OTHERS do not.
Hey! So I have the same problem with my credit card (mastercad). I tried purchasing gems for 10€ first and I get error message “Card approval failed”. I put in everything right, so I really don’t know what could be wrong.
