We are encouraging the players who suspect to have seen cases of exploits or cheats to report those players through the in-game tools (there´s no “hacking” tab but you can select “botting” for the moment); or better, you can send a report (screenshots are welcome) to the following email address: exploits@arena. and the question will be studied by the security team.

Opening threads like this in the forums does not really help.

Well, we are already offering what you are asking for, in the Trading Post. We have a Self-Style Hair Kit for 250 gems and a Total Makeover Kit for 350 gems, which can be used to change the core visual characteristics for any of your characters. However, bear in mind that a name change is not offered yet.

The best way of reporting this kind of issues is by email: you just need to send a report (of course, it would be much better if you could attach pictures or even videos or links to videos) to the following email address: exploits@arena.net. This is nowadays the best manner you can help the security team.

Please stop discussing the moderation and speculating about reasons for infractions, it’s only of the concern of the user who got it. He could have asked the moderators/ CCs why he got infracted. The reason is described in the infraction, too!

“Kitten” is a word which the swear word filter uses to replace inappropriate words.
Before the discussion starts once again: It may happen that a word or part of a word is replaced even though doesn’t have an insulting context.
In this case, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

The swear word filter is neccessary to keep the forums a friendly place and to prevent users from being deterred by threads full of insults and inappropriate language.

Please don’t turn this thread into a discussion about which words are edited, or about how to circumvent the filter, or if the filter is neccessary and such, because it usually led to violations of the code of conduct.

Hi Zyntax – Sorry for the late reply. First, I’d like for you to browse to Documents\Guild Wars 2 and delete the local.dat file. Once you’ve done this, run a repair on the game client. You can do so by following the steps below:

1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.

2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”

3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Repair.”

4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”

5. Edit the “Target” line to include -repair at the end.

Note: Please make sure -repair is outside of the quotes

Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -repair
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -repair”

6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.

If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.

7. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Repair” to start the repair process.

Once completed, please try starting Guild Wars 2 again.
