Never tried the different keypad controllers. I’ve been using my Razer Naga for a few years now and it works great.

As for the talk about trackballs, I also have one. A logitech with a center ball, for when my right wrist start to hurt. After a while, using a trackball is second nature and easy to use.

My guess is that LS2 ends right before the holiday events start around October. We may get more map portions in that timeframe. After the holidays, we maybe February/March, we get LS3 and open up more.

As far as I remember reading, they write the future history of the world and game. Then the LS writers use that to create LS updates. There was a whole conversation a while back where Ree talked about a Knowledge base of the world that they are constantly updating as they grow the world.

I don’t want it to come off in a bad way, but go do something else. I regularly take breaks from GW2 to play other games. I always come back and have fun for a good amount of time in GW2.

The thing with GW2 is that its buy 2 play, your not holding a sub here and forced to stick around. If you like the content and are having fun, keep playing. If not, come back in a few weeks and see whats changed.

I was in at lvl 17, scaled to 80. I seemed to do fine, lots of bags and goodies.

Most of the skinning for pretty much anything in game is fairly simple to implement from what Anet has shown us in the past. They also have shown that they are willing to crete and dump content without care on design time.

This from an interview massively had:

That sounds more permanent and fits with their overall discussion, such as the tag line, “Nothing lasts forever.”

I’ve tried sitting in LFG for “a few hours” for a group to form, but by then, my few hours of game time are up and I have real life to take care of.

That must be new, I have been able to delete and remake characters within minutes on the same name. I think even last month was when I deleted my charr warrior and made a new human warrior.

The aggro table of a hostile NPC changes dynamically depending on a number of factors, in order of importance [citation needed] :

closest target to them
who is dealing damage
top damage dealers
who is using a shield / has more toughness and overall armor
others (see Tanking tactics below)

Are you running an screen overlay client? Something like Overwolf? That is the only cause I have seen for GW2 not running on Win 8.1

Its actually the only problem I have had at all on Win 8.1

Repeating (for the most part) Holiday content is just fine by me, there are alot of players in my guild who haven’t seen it yet. In that respect it will be all new content for them and a fun time for us older players.

I am hoping they do new skins and keep every years skins unique. Like they did in GW1 with holiday hats.

Don’t quote me, but I thought I read somewhere that the skins could be showing up in the gem store too.

My voice chat is full of Guildies. I think that’s the trend in games now, more voice chat, leading to less text chat.

Personally I turn off map chat unless I am looking to see what champions are running. If I group with a random pug, group and say chat are still up and running. If I see people in /say chat I will respond if its relevant.

I always think of this when I get problems with websites.

I don’t think they have ever had release notes until the release is out. The latest one being https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/clockwork-chaos-release-notes/

I would like to know more about the upcoming release too, but I don’t think they have ever done that until the day the update is released.

Also, they don’t have a public test server because they don’t want the public to know whats coming up next. Not sure how I feel about it….

Make it a Screensaver and I will turn on my screensaver function for the first time in 20 years.

I think the GW2 community will show that the mini games are something that GW2 people want. Personally, I want a fun place to go. I want to jump in and have some fun. The Living Story is great, but I really want to have a place where I can jump in and have some fun over lunch, then later, I can work on my dailies, or dungeons, or whatever.

Its more than just getting AV or anti-malware software. If you join fansites, or guild sites, or any number of other game related websites, you should be sure that you are not using the same account info that you use to play games with. There are alot of forums and sites out there that get hacked into on a regular basis. They take your username/password from that site and try to use it to log into games.

If any group ever asks for a gear check, just drop the group. That will be a horrible group everytime.

That is a watch made by Avalon, there are other companies that make similar pocket watches. The ones I’ve seen are not cheap.

Yep, Regina, I went to the official website, drilled down with the Learn More link, and sure enough there it was. To bad I almost always come directly to the Forums, where one would expect Everything to be easily found and or announced.

As for the Launcher, on my 20" wide screen monitor it is So Tiny that reading the resulting itty bitty text is just too hard. Is it possible for me to resize the Launcher to a larger area?

I am not sure what your settings are, but on my 27 inch display at 1920×1080, the launcher displays just fine. Completely readable text.

You have transmutation stones, 2 types. 1 is for moving skins on level 79 and below items, and the other is for level 80 items. I have never had to buy them from Gem store and have tons of both from just playing the game.

You double click the stone and it brings up a window where you can drop the 2 items and choose what you want to keep from each item, from the skin to the bonuses.

Swiping my credit card on the side of my monitor doesn’t seem to be working. I would easily spend gems on that content. I had a ton of fun playing GW1 BMP and the unique skins we got from them.
