You’re welcome. That video is almost a year old. You should check out some newer info. If you don’t want to commit to a founder pack you should at least register for the beta. I’m in alpha now.

The game is picking up major steam 7k viewers on Twitch now while still in alpha. Good news is it will be f2p with subscriber perks. I imagine it is going to lay this game to waste when people actually try it and see how much there is to do.

Logged in once on patch day to check it out and haven’t logged back in since. Got a humongous laugh out of it. When are these guys going to quit screwing around with existing features and trying to pass it off as content?

I don’t play MMO’s to collect dyes and every skin in game, just the ones I like. Meh….I’m not even going to get into anything else about it. I don’t care. I’m in AA alpha and WS beta. Both are far superior games. I’m happy.

So, I tried Wildstar this weekend and I felt like mehh… I went back to playing GW2 instead and played PVP and forgot about why I stopped playing Solo ranked and hit the Join button to queue. I also loved WvW raids more.

*GW2 has crispier graphics.
*Quests are better in GW2 imho
*Better PVP style for ranked and open world. Battle is three way and not between 2 factions.
*The telegraphs are ok but I liked how GW2 requires you to keep track of the opponent and see his status/buffs or the animation when to cast a skill or anticipate things given the circumstances. It makes dodging easy tho.
*Weapons are more flashy in GW2.
*Combo fields for sustain and damage seems like a funkier way to play open world combat.
*WS just simply looked like WoW with space/galactic theme.
*Finishers are awesome.

I felt like I am not ready to shell out or farm for 15$ to pay for the monthly sub.

Felt the exact opposite of this. I am pumped and pre-ordered the collectors edition. It has just about everything I love about GW2, but does it just a tad better. Housing, mounts, dueling, open world combat and PvP servers! I can’t wait till the next beta and release.

You said it. I love the game and support it, but I will never forget all the nerfs, bugs, and changes they have gone through since release when the time comes. I’m getting really tired of Anet.

Anyway I’m disgusted about this. Yesterday I got off work to come home and relax and play in the battle for LA only to get the 25% bug on the holo. Now tonight when I come home it’s a no loot bug. I do all the knights no reward. End up failing the platform part and it was an absolute waste of time.

I always run full zerker, but I hear you, man. People have been crying about this forever. You would think these guys could make it so it took into account how many times you struck the mob on whether you got a gold, silver, or copper reward instead of how much damage you did.

Did it on my second try with my necro. No quickness or anything. It’s just timing.

It felt pretty epic. Like that final scene from “Last of the Mohicans.” When the dad did a roll and kittened up Magua.

Bought the armor and finisher. I would have bought the ticket for convenience if it truly was a convenience. Running to the bank to swap it between toons kind of defeats the purpose.

I guess it would be alright if I only played one toon, but I don’t. I don’t think most people play only one either.

It’s pretty sad that most of the end game is about skins and they can’t even get that right. People invest a lot of time into getting legendary weapons and they should not feel let down by visual bugs.

Anet seem pretty half kitten about this though. I noticed they did stuff like this way back with the Mad King runes and the raven/hawks.

They should be changing the medium flame kissed too. It’s the same as the set people spend a lot of badges on in WvW. Now all the PvE noobs have it and with a flame added.

I saw the armor and it made me want to puke. Never has there been a more disgusting set. Hang your heads in shame Anet. Hang ’em!

I repeatedly get kicked out of groups for not playing a Guardian or Warrior, and sometimes even receive major hate for maining a ranger.

I woud kick you too from dungeon party if you dare play a ranger. Some times I tolerate rangers on eazy dungeons, just rare. And I love when I see in LFG two rangers looking for other members, no one join them ^^ once I did all my 3 paths and they where still there in the list looking… I wanted to enter in party and shout: MAKE A KITTEN WARRIOR but I leave them be… they deserve it ^^

Awesome! You deal with the reality that there are many different players and do things your own way. The same as they do.

You are missing the point completely.
No none is saying that Anet does not have to eat and no one is denying that the gemstore supports the game.

the gold you convert to gems- those gems where bought with real money by someone else and converted to gold.

Whether or not we can afford it is not the issue either.

The issue is adding an item in the store that gives an advantage that no in game item gives.
So it is no longer cosmetic or convenience.
The store is about cosmetics and convenience.

Although BLSK do give you a 100% chance of getting the rune back- they do not qualify as pay to win to me because I get them for the game.

Mystic Kits have such a high salvage rate in my experience that I rarely use my Black Lion kits

I don’t consider the item p2w. I fully understand your concern with p2w items coming to the gem store . I wouldn’t like it either, but I’m sorry to tell you that it’s already that way with the gem to gold exchange.

Anet has given everyone free permanent access to the sprockets anyway with the home instance node for completing LS.

The sprockets will be cheap enough for anyone to buy. The people yelling the loudest about this probably have stacks of the things they were waiting to sell after the LS.

Agree 100%. Why should I as a WvW/PvPer be forced to PVE to get BiS gear? Makes no freakin sense! Either make it attainable from WvW or keep it out of WvW!

Nerf them all into the ground!! I want pure cookie cutter classes that are all perfectly balanced and do the same exact thing. Just the class aesthetics are different to give the classes character. That way scrubby players can’t cry anymore!

You don’t earn anything for capturing those points. You get a buff. What is the incentive for players or teams for capturing and defending them? To get everybody else a buff to run around and get points while you sit there and get squat?

These guys really have no clue.

I noticed a lot of mobs missing. Sometimes they were a bother, other times a help if you could rally off one. They made the world seem more natural with them running around.

They should bring an item into the store that allows us to make soulbound items into account bound items. A one use stone maybe. Then we could move them around to the toons they look more appropriate with and Anet still profits.

Man, I didn’t even know about this. I just went to WvW right now and saw we have two of the buffs. This is just ignorant. I’m on TC and we aren’t having any real problems with FA or DB. It’s a fun match, but how is this supposed to make it any funner? It’s not fair to them.

I was just cracking up about this today. We are heading towards ascended armor next and still have green aqua breathers. I mean can we at least get some rares or greens with different stats?

His issue is that he has loads of karma, and nothing he deems worthy of spending it on. So I asked him what he thinks Anet should put in the game that would be worthy of spending his karma on, since at this point he sees it as pointless.

On the other hand, I do use my karma. I don’t have his issue where it ‘feels pointless’ since I use it for gear and such. I don’t have anywhere near as much as him, but that’s ok with me.

But that’s what we were discussing. For those that see karma as pointless, what do they want in the game that would make it not pointless for them. Like I said, I see lots of complaints about it, but never any suggested solutions.

Yeah, I was responding more to the “They nerfed it into the ground” comment.

Karma is far from useless in my opinion. I use it to gear alts and get gear for my builds. You need it for legendaries and now ascended. You could even turn it into gold if you found it so useless.

Maybe it won’t be that bad. When did they put the consumable jugs in? I may be mistaken, but I don’t recall them being in at launch.

These things are pretty ugly in my opinion. Like the Christmas skins. Both look like they came out of some middle school woodshop class.

None the less I am glad they are adding skins at a fairly high rate now. People have different opinions and it’s nice to have options. I’m happy some people like them.

They’re not saying it shouldn’t take them longer to gear 8 toons. Look at it this way:

What you’re saying is, if it takes 1 hour to gear 1 toon, then it should take 8 hours to gear 8 toons. That’s fine and I don’t think anyone has a problem with that. However, it’s not how this game works. If it takes 1 hour of gameplay to gear a toon, it takes far longer than 8 hours to gear 8 toons due to artificial time gating.

TL;DR: What people are complaining about isn’t that it takes longer to gear multiple toons. What people are complaining about is that they can’t sit and binge on the game for 24 hrs straight and do it all at once. According to Anet it takes 2 weeks to make an ascended weapon. People are mad that they can’t put in extra effort during that time to do one ascended weapon per alt every 2 weeks; instead, they have to wait 2 weeks for every… single… one.

I think that’s the first time I’ve seen a TL;DR that was longer than the reading part.
