12 views and no replies Do i really have an issue that no one can help with?

I’ve built a new PC and after loading the game, I can’t get any sound to play. I have sound in everything else, Chrome browser, YouTube, music players, Steam games but I have zero sound in the game.

I tried both options in the drop down under sound and restarted the client each time but none of the options are working.

Any suggestions?

I checked with Hobbs, he doesn’t have anything for me.

I bought the chest again and when I tried to open it, it says I have already opened it

I’ve opened a ticket on it but I’m not sure if I’m going to get a response or not.

it’s not present when I attempt to craft the experiment precusor weapon, it shows that I don’t have one

So I got my Chest of the end and I opened it, got the recipes for the precursors but no essence of the end. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Anet needs to update the information because everything in game talks about it at a character level, like the farming nodes.

Would it be possible to create a single home instance? I have things spread between characters like farming nodes and it would be nice to have them all in one place.

I think it would be easier to have the WvW server tied to the guild. The guild could pay to do the server transfer if they wanted to instead of “paying” people to transfer.

Now that the game is getting older, many guilds are dying off and people are moving to new guilds. I, for one, have been in this position of finding a new guild. Now that I have found it, it turns out the most of the people play on a different WvW server than me.

Why can’t the server you play on be tied to the guild you are representing? I think one of the biggest frustration is that you join a guild only to find out most of the members are not on your server. There is no way to know this ahead of time and most people are looking for a good group of players; trying find that AND on the WvW they are currently on is tough.

I think if Anet created an option to make you pick your server for WvW (no free changes, one shot) then the population would be much happier. True, Anet might lose some $$ from the charge to transfer servers but I think this would be a greater win for the community.

Guilds will continue to be shifting and I don’t think it’s right to ask a player to pay for several server transfers because he wants to enjoy WvW with the new guild he has found.

Ok………tried that. Now I’m getting the message “Request could not be created as:
Guild Wars 2 E-Mail Address (Account Log-in Name): is invalid”

Ummm……I know I’ve got my email address right.

Is this whole system breaking down now

I’ve tried to buy gems several times and I keep getting the message “Unfortunately an error has occurred. Please try again later” I’ve tried again later and still not able to. FYI – I’ve already called my bank and there is nothing wrong with my Visa card, they don’t even see the attempt coming in.

Is there an issue with the system at the moment?

I’ve been gone almost a year; so long that it appears I’ve missed the new WvW maps

Question – any videso or site suggestions on learning what all the new UI stuff is? I’m not even sure how to apply all of my stuff that has been reset

This will not matter once the new BL maps come out, unless they didnt’ address this on the new maps.

I run around and find dead AFK toons. I then proceed to rez them and let them die again…..over and over again…….

Everyone is already poo poo on the new BL map. Everyone needs to take a moment and RELAX. None of you have played it so making a snap judgement is very premature. I’m willing to play it and give a fair try before declaring that Anet has destroyed WvW.

I’m not saying don’t give the same level as current to those doing the “main” world boss but I think some kind of additional reward should be given to those that make that world boss event happen

I think there should be a way to reward people that take the time to do the pre-events, especially for the ones on the daily task list. It is sad to see all of the people just sitting around and moaning about the pre-event taking so long. They get to goof off and get the same rewards as those that take the time to get the event set into motion.

Tonight in WvW we had a “person” take each golem we were building up and systematically run them into the enemy and have them destroyed. This “person” obviously has issues but ideally we would have a way to prevent this type of griefing from happening if we could boot them out of the siege.

Thoughts?

Is there a way to see the actual number of accounts assigned per server? It would be interesting to know if it is actually a population issue with balance or just the fact that more people on a server seem to be active in WvW

Teon – Negative feedback on the idea is fine, that is the purpose of requesting thoughts on it. The idea it to draw out discussion on it so that an idea can be fully discussed. So far the dialog has been very interesting on this idea, save for the few people that were upset with the word “we” which I was surprised at……LOL. If you want to rile up the population, put the word “we” in your subject line

WE = The collective call to action on a topic of discussion.

I’m soliciting input to the idea, negative feedback attacking me is not constructive dialog.

I think it would add motivation to defense of keeps. Right now the only motivation might be right before a tick to get the points. Otherwise they get flipped on a regular basis because no one is there to defend.

If you have something worth defending you will.

For anyone that played Dark Age of Camelot (DAOC), this was the best part of its RvR (their version of WvW). Each world would contain two relics that would give a boast to the entire world. You could increase the boast by stealing the relics of the other worlds. You have to physically run it back to your keep and place it there.

So in summary.

1) Guard the relic: You have to completely take the Garrison to get the relic
2) Steal the relic: To steal an enemy world relic, you take over the garrison and then run (no porting) the relic back to your home world. You would some portal spot need your border entry but not in it so you can just hide there.
3) Storing enemy relics: It would be put in either the hills or bay keep (if you currently don’t have it, you don’t get to store it and have to defend it in the open until you do. Once it’s placed you get the bonus (TBD) until you lose the keep. Either the owning world could take it back or the other enemy world could still it from you.

I think this would add a new flavor to WvW both from an offensive and defensive side

This is war people, there is no “talking to each other” It is kill your enemy any way you can. Kick them in the groin, gouge their eyes…..do whatever it takes to win. If I wanted polite war I would play a MMO game…………………oh wait

I decided to give it a go in WvW and I must of looked silly on the wall of the keep next to the perm mortar tying to hit seige out in the field. I think somebody taped a sign on my back when I wasn’t looking………

Ok, this might seem petty but it is annoying. Each time I log back in my inventory screen is resize to some default setting that is driving me crazy. I like to have it so the bags are hidden and I don’t have to scroll to see all the squares. I will re-size, then when I close the game and log back in it will be back to something like four squares wide

Why doesn’t the window sizing on the Inventory page stay after you log out?

I know this might seem silly but has anyone had any success in using the mortar elite in WvW. I was thinking that during defense of keeps / towers that this might be viable to destroy enemy siege. All I’ve been able to find was very old videos (like 2012) of it’s use and nothing current.

Why are you being rude? I simply posed a couple of thoughts and you are telling me to do more research. If you don’t want to post anything helpful, then it would be best not to say anything at all.

I know this seems like an obvious question but I haven’t been able to find anything on the site showing which server belongs to which tier. If someone could direct me I would appreciate it.

Here are two more thoughts on the subject

1) Influence is mostly earned in PvE but mostly spent in WvW. So if I join an WvW only guild all of the influence I earn in PvE will not go to the WvW guild until I’m playing with them in WvW The relationship between these two is not a clear split and needs to be addressed. I would think that if I joined a WvW guild, they would be kittened if I’m not earning influence for them for WvW activities but perhaps I’m wrong. I’m curious, how much influence a typical guild member earns from PvE versus WvW.

2) How to find a WvW guild? If you go out into WvW, unless you catch it at the right time you will not find a guild active out there, just a bunch of PUG players from different guilds like me. We need WvW server based forums to allow us to post in. They should be tied to the account so there can be no cross spying. That way you can post you want to join a WvW guild, plan attacks but members from other servers can access the forums. It should be simple as ANET know our accounts and which server our account is tied to.

I think #2 could go a long way to addressing this gap but the missing Influence when in both a WvW and PvE guild will be an issue.

I have a question to the Devs.

Is this designed to get people to throw gems away?

Apparently the only way this will work is if we pick a server and all agree to transfer to it. This will cost 1800 gems…..each……regardless of which server we pick (yes,I just checked tonight and they were all listed as Very High Population and all cost 1800 gems).

So we can hang out and PvE together but if we want to WvW together we are screwed unless we pay like $25 for each person. Now I understand why certain worlds suck at WvW. You can form a strong guild but unless you pay up you can’t WvW together and thus it will always be pick up zergs.

Well there should be something to be done. I just changed guilds after the one I was in evaporated and now I learn that my new friends and I can’t WvW together?!? That is unacceptable. I understand the need to protect the WvW nature but don’t you agree that I should be able to WvW with my guildmates?

It just seems silly that you can PvE with a guild but can’t WvW. Why can’t a guild be “assigned to a world” so that when you join that guild you are part of that world to WvW with. WvW is a big part of the game and I should be able to enjoy with guildmates.

I joined a guild but appartently we are all on different servers. How can I play WvW with them? I thought we had this mega world and the all of the guilds could be together now?

Thank you for posting this. It is very refreshing to see that there was a logical explanation for this event. I agree that too many people assume that is some type of hacking or exploit going on when they can’t explain something. It kind of reminds me of when someone sees lights in the sky and thinks it’s aliens. Yes, it is a UFO (unidentified flying object) but that doesn’t make it alien. Same thing here. It is UGE (unexplained game event). That doesn’t make it cheating, just something that we don’t understand. I know there is some hacking/cheating but I would hold off jumping to that conclusion just because something happened that you can’t explain.

We should be careful naming people and possible damaging their reputation in the game with accusations.

I have tried this several times now, even once with only one piece of equipment on. Each time I get a completely broken piece of equipment and go have it fixed, I do not get credit for this. Currently this is what the screen says “A piece of your armor is broken, Until repaired, it will give you no benefit. Characters with [Repairs] after their name can help you”

I’m I doing this wrong or is this broken (pun intended). I would like to get the achievement for having all of the hints completely but this is stopping me.

This is very dangerous. I know it sucks to be locked out but you should know the risk prior to doing a transfer. This could open the door for some unsportsmanlike conduct in the tourney.

I’m at the guard at the Durmand Priory in Lornar’s Pass where my little green star is pointing me to. There is a gate and when I click on it, it says talk to the guard. I talk to the guard and he’s says it’s under construction.

How do I get in here to continue my personal story?

So basically, it cost right around $10USD (800 gems) to get the 100 gold for the gem. If you buy them now, you will be grandfathered in and have apply to all your accounts and not have to pay 300 gold

Will this mean we will see a onslaught of multi-colored Doritos running around? Will the collect pool of commander skill drop since almost anyone can buy this now?

1) If I have an activate personal story and an active season two episode, will they both be the green stars?

2) So to get credit during the two weeks, do I have to log in each of my six characters or just one of them?

I’ve read the news story a couple of times and I’m not quite following. This is my current understanding.

All past living stories events = season 1

New living stories events = season 2

What does this mean for my person story, is that like a prequel?
