So I’ve been with a sturdy ascended Rabid/Dire build since Pre-Hot and was trying to see whether or not to swap my stats to Trailblazer’s only issue is that I lose precision except for my trinkets. Anyone with Trailblazer’s see any differences?

I’ve been going Dire/Rabid well before Hot and it works if you’re going condion primarily followed with toughness to survive a few hits and some free vitality to help out. If you have the cash then try trailblazers which works like rabid/dire but throws in condition duration.

Remove all passives from the game. Doesn’t matter if everyone uses them or not, passives are bad for a game and they need to be removed completely. No exceptions.
What? Even the “below x HP” ones too? If any passives need toned down it’s Engineer I hear none other especially when Deathly Chill got the nerf bat.

Need some ideas for a condition build, thing is I’m low on gold atm so things like Viper and Sinister is going to a while to grind. I’ve been hoarding quite a few mats so crafting a set won’t be too tricky to work around. Ideas?

So I’ve been running Dire/Rabid gear with Nightmare runes well before pre-Hot and was kinda wondering if Trailblazers will make my conditions really last longer. Currently with toxic focusing crystals, rare veggie pizza and corruption sigil at +25 stacks in adding with lingering curse I’m looking at 70% duration on poison and bleeding which hits like a truck but doesn’t last long. Thoughts?

So finally unlocked berseker and going to craft some gear but with highly favorable sustain while piling on the Burns. Was thinking going Rabid/ Dire w/Nightmare or Krait runes. Thoughts?

This is a huge disappointment for people looking forward to the next expansion. Now what’s going to happen to the other legendary sets? (i;e Backpack, amour.) This seems like a huge step in the WRONG DIRECTION. I hope for the criticism coming your way that you have a reasonable answer to people that invested time because to some people it’s a huge slap in the face. So I ask you: what should we expect to look for next expack? Raids? New story? Again, a huge disappointment.

I’m guessing you haven’t played a condi/support and this coming from a complete novice at this class, yet I’m able to hold my own.

Forget about possible game breaking skills, bugs and exploits. Forget about QA testing to get the proper balance right, which takes months not days. These kitteners want their gratification because of changes they don’t like. If that kittenes you off so much go play another game.
3-4 month balance patches are already pushing it, monthly patches are just not possible.

Well they haven’t removed Wanderer’s or Rabid so as a condi necro I could care less about the QQ in this thread.

That’s all I’ve been seeing since the entire Leagues started. Now it’s not uncommon to have a Bunker for mid, a couple or three brusers and that one roamed, not it’s turned into Bunker Trap DH, Bunker Ele/Mes and maybe a Scrapper with a rare chance of a Thief or Warrior. If this is the way Anet wants to take their game mode in favor of “Espurz”, fine but please dont pull down the actual good players that love the game mode.

I need a vet of WvW and not kitten troll to tell me the state of WvW because my first time since the new maps dropped in the game and I’m not impressed one bit. I’ll create an overview post later but here is my first impressions. It was boring. The maps seem to be massvely under populated since you barely see anyone, never mind you the massive fights over keeps and things. But as I said an overview post later.

Even though it’s mainly power based I find myself taking it more than staff, which is debatable on which is better at gaining LF. It works pretty decently in pwr/condition builds though.

I went ahead and crafted the Gs, unfortunately not only did I not get credit but it didn’t show up in the collections tab as showing that I had it.

Well I can say with a full set of ascended rabid/dire set the toughness does help when all your teammates died now you have to solo something like Spider queen in AC, of course necros are naturally tanky so that helps

How plague sending functions is when the threshold of 3 conditions is met (let say staff 3 with bleed, chill and poison) it will trigger plague sending to the current target, so if you happen to switch targets between the beginning of the cast to the end it’s going to hit whatever target you have at the end of the cast.

I think your main problem is trying to get power dmg out of a mainly condition based weapon. Thats like trying to get conditions like torment, chill and blindness on axe. Cant get Orange juice out of Lemons.

Sounds like Resistance that puts (insert condition) on you when you clear conditions. There is one. Its called consume conditions. Now all you need to do is have someone whack you again.

Yeah, they should look at the techinal problems currently, especially with Hot around is very sure to be riddled with problems for the first week, not to mention huge lag spikes in WvW and PVE content.

I don’t think it’s going to be a huge jump like Unreal Engine 3 to 4 in terms of quality, but a slight tweak or 2 should prove efficient somewhat.

I think it’s less on the stacking, but more on cheap exploits (looking at you ice bow) and vacuum dps. I’m sure this fight will be longer than 25secs leaving that dps dropping like a stone. My hope is only it doesn’t turns into Meta groups and builds and nothing else.

Two problems I have with reaper:
1) It looks more damage based than condition based-Great sword and Rs is good getting close and personal. The chill is good but isn’t worth spec into that line where another useful line could be used and Greatsword does nothing for me Staff with soul mark can do better.
2)Rs can be kited/ LF loss is too great-Just to piggyback off the previous point, I’m fully condition based, not damage based meaning I have no reason to be in the middle of fight where I just melt to everything. That being said Rs is too predictable and easily kited out of it. It was said reaper was made for multiple group fights, yet when you get focus fired the LF drops dramatically and you die.

I’ve only used the passive only a few times for the Lf gain, nothing else. Putting it as an Elite would be useful for me, meaning I can take another weapon in place of staff which at this point is vital for LF gain as well as free up a utility slot that would be used for something else.

my characters just are no match to the pure damage a reaper is doing and I find the reaper being just a little bit too much over powered.

I noticed instead of the skill going past enemies, it now swirls towards the enemy and keeps inflicting damage. Like the title, is this a bug? If not, hopefully it won’t be turned into the new FGS.
