I’m waiting to test those shouts. I saw recently some changes I want to confirm if those are good or bad changes. I also want to try out some health leeching builds as well.

Why is there no Sinister Stats?
There’s a vendor in SW that gives you the recipe for insignias and a few ascended rings

Good for many things:
-It’s not the challenging group content (it would’ve been a copout if it was)
-More incentive besides fractal daily to go in there
-Better rewards (fingers crossed)
-Legendary Backpieces (I prefer legendary armour, but ok)
-Ascended salvage kits (about time I got rid of those rings I don’t need)
-Leaderboards (for the hardcore peeps)
Maybe I’ll give it a run in the future.
The
Will there be demos there? How about a surprise announcement? And I’m hearing the event will be streamed as well. Confirmation?
The
I honestly stopped caring. I know that’s a bit critical, but you can only hear “SOON” I’m surprised Anet hasn’t trademarked the kitten thing yet. There are betas for other games coming out starting next month out until about the end if the year. I’m going to play those instead of QQ in the forums.
The
Interrupt Mesmer incoming.
The
Talking to the NPC for Scarlet’s War would result in the game freezing. Restarted and it skipped the Cinematic entirely.
The
Necromancer
•Signet of Vampirism: Fixed a bug that caused this skill to heal for more than its listed value.
Giving zero meaning to a skill that is barely even useful, no nerf it because reasons.
•Chilling Darkness: This trait now activates on all targets that are blinded by a single area-of-effect blinding strike before it goes on cooldown.
Ok…..so it isn’t as useless….
•Spinal Shivers: Removed an incorrect unblockable skill fact from this skill. While this skill does remove aegis before striking, it is not unblockable.
Yeah, I guess that’s fair…
•Unholy Martyr: Reduced life-force generation from 10% to 7% when transferring a condition.
I’d argue that the LF gain was not enough to even recommend traiting this.
•Corruptions: Self-applied, nondamaging conditions from these skills no longer have their durations increased by condition duration stats.
Complete random change, If I could make a suggestion, maybe lowering the self damage as well. You can very well put yourself at about 50% health using this. The risk is too high, and the reward isn’t worth it.
The
Downstate necro all powerful.
The
I see what you’re doing anet. It’s all smoke and mirrors, but I see what’s going on. You want us (Reaper, Tempest, Warrior, Guardian, and Ranger) in a Shouting match!
“Save yourselves” as we “Rise” to the occasion. “Nothing can save you” now that Tempest now has shouts. “Feel the burn” he/she said as even the Guardian had to “Retreat!” to prevent the wrath of “Strength of the pack!” Even the Reapers are salty and “Chilled to the bone!” as yet another class gets shouts.
Hopefully anet “Receive the Light” and doesn’t give Thief or Revenant shouts.
We’re missing:
-“Just do it”
-“What are you waiting for?”
-“Stop giving up”
and
-“Don’t let your dreams be dreams”

Reasons I can see thief getting Rifle:
•Thieves always needed some kind of long ranged weapon outside of MH pistol
•Any kind of fresh game play is needed (Sorry, sword/Dagger thieves)
•Outside of Engineer the rifle is the least used weapon (Sadly Warriors barely use that kitten rifle)
Reasons while I can’t see thieves staff:
• You already have heavy competition for the “front lines” (Warrior, Gaurdian, D/D Elementalist, Revenant?) And soon to be reaper. Now unless thief gets some kind of sustainable utilities it’s not going to last a punch from a rampage warrior.
•We already have 5/9 using staff already (Druid makes 6). Getting another class to staff is kinda….meh.
The
?New legendaries (that should be a given)
?New ascended weapons/armour
?Something to give WvW a reason to play (ie; monthly objectives/events and not that joke Golem rush)
The
I was hoping it would it at least have a hint of DX11 support, but considering how old of a dinosaur the game engine is, that may be pushing it a bit. Then again the tech team have done some things that pushes the limits so why not.
The
Misconceptions people are getting:
•You’ll be stronger in an Elite spec. If you don’t have the expack purchased, you’re missing out.
•Weapons assigned to each elite spec can be used without the elite spec in your specialization bar.
Answer
No, Elite specs are only and will be only a glorified subclass. Not having this spec will NOT give you an insane power boost over the core class. You get a set of skills, utilities, a heal and an elite. That’s it. If you don’t have the expansion purchased, you’re not disadvantaged from someone who does.
Weapons that come with the elite spec can be used only when the elite spec is your elite spec specialization bar. You cannot use the weapon otherwise. Just like Necromancer can’t use GS without the Reaper spec and so on.

1) Data mined info is not gospel, Anet can change anything at anytime. (As seen with tempest)
2) Teef maybe getting rifle seems more themed with an infiltration type class.
The
It should be at least 25% lf at the start. That way you aren’t ganked at the start of a match. Revenant’s already start out with 50% so why not? Oh, and warriors can build 3 tiers of adrenaline faster than a Necro getting LF.
The
At the end of the PoI Rubi said we’d get a chance to test the Tempest soon. Her intonation suggested this was more than the soon™ we jest about, enough so that I won’t be surprised if this coming weekend is a beta including the elites revealed thus far.
No guarantee, of course, but I’m cautiously optimistic. I was surprised Twitch chat didn’t jump on the comment, though I think it was still caught up in some other flood of chatter at the time.
Nope a number of people did catch it, some suggesting in the range of about two to three weeks from now, maybe when we have at least one more of the elites covered for them to come out and say “ok, here’s over half of them, go wreck some faces”
The
My whole problem with Reaper is how blatant it exposes the kitten out of core DS.
The
Prepare to wait a while longer. They have yet to let us play test the current elite specs, reveal the unannounced elite specs, core Revenant and explain the kitten is “challenging group content”
The
I’m just looking for a beta weekend to try it out. The videos and speculation on “the numbers game” is little to no comfort at all. I know they have a beta weekend “Soon” but that’s about it.

Doesn’t Dulfy upload it on their own channel?
The
Aside from dailies and guild missions, I find myself playing less and less. I have full ascended and four legendaries, what now? PvE is more or less the same 6 months ago, WvW hasn’t changed (The golem event was a complete joke imo) and PvP….well broken rampage warriors and interrupt mesmers…yeah, no.
The
I can see this as one of those “pretty good ideas, bad implementation, never again, GG WvW” kind of ideas. That being said, never rig the golems again.
The
Are we going back to monthly server match ups like before?
The
•WvW is boring currently, nothing but gang fest zeros and conditions teefs everywhere
•PvP: Interrupt mesmers and broken rampage warrior tryhards. #nope
The
Well they way they are working on enemy AI, my hope is that they extend that to the current AI (Ranger pets, Minions) and not wait waaaay after HOT to address long standing issues like this.
The
I literally melt everything I touch. 2,300 condition damage is nothing to sneeze at. Too bad you have to be that high for the bleeds to really rek face.
The
I don’t mean to be critical here, but unless you speak Japanese, how does adding a voice pack in the game benefit?
The
We already have shrouded removal. I think it’s fair Fitg doesn’t have a Immobile break as well since reaper can laugh those off as it is now.
The
Yup, in agreementioned that necro is the most balanced class, being able to switch from power to conditions with a few stat changes. Though we get really kitten angry when another class something the class could benefit from (looking at you Rev) really can’t complain when I say necro is now the most diverse in terms of class combos (aka: Condimancer w/ lifesteal, power wellomancer, etc)
The
Depends on what you want to switch to. Zerker is easily the most expensive followed by assassin, sinister and rampager. I’m not sure where Celestial fits in since it got toned back a bit.
The
My thought is that talk is cheap. I might get excited if I see what this is actually going to be.
At least, more things to do is always better I suppose.
“Talk is cheap” fully agree with that OP. Problem is WE DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT EVEN MEANS. Anet is walking a fine line when it comes to this topic. They mess up, the results would be pretty bad (heavy understatement.) They have to present more than “here’s a boss, mobs, whatever” and all it takes is the typical stacking in a corner dps race we suffered for 3 years now. I’m kinda worried since they haven’t been talking about changes to AI (This includes ranger pets, Necro minions and boss/trash mobs) as we’d like but hey, we don’t know yet.
The
Players you’ll find in GW2:
•The newbie:New people, no money, no tomes. Help these guys out.
•The casual:The mass majority of GW2. Give them tips when you can. Don’t be kitten troll to them.
•The hardcore:The 1% that has all dungeon paths completed, legendaries completed, and numerous level 80 characters. The most knowledgeable when it comes to various questions.
•The Elitist:The 0.5% of that 1% that insist you run a certain build, run with certain gear (zerk, celestial) and dps, dps, dps. Highly delusional when it comes to having fun in game (the 20k dps uptime delusion rages on) , hates certain classes (BB rangers, Necro) because “reasons” kicks you out of pugs because you aren’t zerk, kicks you because you aren’t a certain AP threshold (subjective) blames you when you’re still alive when they get instantly one shotted and all around the most toxic group in the community. Avoid at all costs.Your elitist is a caricatured portrait of “The farmer”. The farmer is a part of the hardcore – as you said.
Highly efficient he enjoys earning rewards to buy new skins with and does everything in his power to get as much loot as possible.
Seeks out other players who want the same thing and excludes players that don’t since he doesn’t have time to mess around and since wasting time ruins his game experience.
Kicks certain classes because experience has shown they’re most of the times a liability (BB rangers) and kicks non-zerkers because he’s there for the fast farm not to role play or watch dungeon cutscenes.
Kicks you for being low AP because it’s not a teaching run and higher AP has a better chance of finding an experienced player. Not full proof but better.I do agree with you on the last part though – unless you are one avoid them at all costs since they’d like it better like that and you’d be doing everybody a huge favor.
Different people have fun by doing different things in a game. Nothing wrong with what any type of player does unless it’s being done to harass the other types of players. No one way of playing is inherently more fun or better. Attempting to besmirch the other styles of play isn’t at all productive.
+1
I’m not going to solo change the way people play whether it be fun or hardcore, as long as you don’t condemn other players and step on the toes of the ones you don’t agree with.

Doubt it, they have enough issues dealing with the balancing of the current weapons. In some alternative universe they do add weapons, it’s going to be way farther off than you think.
The
Hnnnng I’ve been waiting to give my impression’s and opinions on Reaper it’s killing me (pun fully intended.) When can we expect to get our hands on Reaper, Dragon hunter and Chronomancer? I know, completely subjective to give feedback on things that aren’t done, blah, blah, but yeah. Reaper. Play next beta please. All the “hnnnnngs” included.

The
Judging from FFXIV’S expack, which was about 10gb it’s should be more or less around that.
The
Don’t see how invulnerables will fix DS. Currently DS has a serious problem in focus fire situations. Soulution? Reaper, but it’s a while off and problem now is still a problem.
The
I need a good build that has good condi dmg. Any helpful builds?
The
AI is kitten garbage to say the least.
The
I’d prefer Lich or plague form would work like kinda like a transform that leeches off LF instead of a high CD. An example is like how Rev elites work.
The
All this qqing bout necro,“we need this, ths should change, axe is bad” and so on is really annoying. stop asking for fluff to change.
Hm, never thought constructive criticism sent to devs were “QQ” or complaining. We should evaluate ourselves! And axe sucks.
I main necro, and i have no problem being effective
Uh, you shouldn’t. it’s good to be effective. It’s not good to be lower in terms of usefulness or support especially when other classes can do it better.
so please go learn the class, traits and skills before you start crying like little girls who lost their teddy bears.
Already have, I have no teddy.
oh forgot to mention, NECRO ISNT DESIGNED FOR MOBILITY.
Been stated before necros were designed to be slow and able to keep other classes locked in fights. Your point being…? The only problem I see is active defense during these fights (blocks/reflects as well as LF generation during said fights. I get it. Reaper. But what about now?
The
I don’t want the Holy trinity of Tank, Dps and Healers. That being said I do like the suggestion of healing power being looked at a bit more. If you want that bigger burst of heals, you invest in some healing power, even if it is about 400 or more, not being full zerk and still have a massive heal, dmg mitigation and regeneration flying everywhere.
The
I’m sure you won’t be complaining when it’s finally patched in and all the skills have the proper balance tweaks.
The
Nope. Not gonna happen.
The
I thought they said somewhere that tomes will only work once per day on Rev because they didn’t want vets to blow through the content while newer players have to level grind.
The
Go, what are you waiting for?! DO IT!!!!

I rather they work on balance right now. Conditions are running rampant, Interrupt mesmers are pretty OP and Rampage Warriors are borderline broken. How about taking care of those headaches first?
The
Yeah Unholy Sanctuary is basically a slightly more creative version of the engineer trait backpack regenerator.
The reaper trait blighters boon looks like it could offer far more sustain, provided it doesn’t get an ICD.
Hopefully they don’t add an ICD to BB. In any case I can see US with regeneration plus BB and health siphoning with tank builds with clerics and yak runes being pretty powerful.
