Does it has to be absolutely drawn digitally or can I handraw it as long as I follow all of the other rules?

I hope so XD, I dont have access or the know how to make a good digital drawing, instead I printed the template, made my own light box, drew a design outline, and then scanned the outline of my design. I then cropped and rescaled the outline, printed it, went back to my makeshift lightbox, and fleshed out the finished product with my prismacolor pencils, scanned that and uploaded that file (I also uploaded the outline by accident, but as i am only doing 1 submission I just re uploaded it as a second submission)

If it being hand drawn is a disqualification I will be quite sad after all that effort…

Right now it is too slow to react with your offhand abilities due to the fact you have to attune twice essentially to use the abilities of other attunements.

My suggestion is reduce the CD of attunements you have just woven into.

example -

currently – If in fire and you attune to earth, you have to now wait 3-4 seconds then attune again to earth to use those skills.

after change- If in fire and you attune to earth, you have to now wait let’s say .25-.5 seconds to attune earth again and 3-4 seconds to attune back to water/fire/air.

This would allow you to weave with still some delay, but would be able to potentially react to fights with your offhand, while not making it so you can just spam all attunements.

Long story short, ran into a very clear scammer/match manipulator/idle player, sent multiple in game reports along with the reports my party member submitted, and when talking to other who encountered this player in the past, also said they reported.

That alone is not cause enough to suspect a broken system, devs could be hammered with new expansion, or may even be giving the guy warnings. So this is not me trying to bash the devs.

But as suggested by another player, I sent a support ticket via gw2 website, and within a couple of days got the standard “we will look into it but cannot discuss what we do to other player” that is all standard and good, but then they proceeded to tell me to, “In the future send the report in game as it is faster and sent directly to our team.” … so wait I already did this. So either this is a standard cut and paste, and they received my earlier report, there was an internal mixup/miscommunication and my earlier report was not communicated or lost, or the report system is broken.

This is not me trying to bash, and I am not saying anet is incompetent.. but if it is indeed bugged or broken, I feel this bug should have high priority. Considering they are gearing for a new expansion that will likely have its own bugs/exploits players may find, a working in game report feature would be really nice to have.

Highly recommend reading through some of the guides on qqmore, then check out metabattle if anything to see what people are likely to be running, so you will have a better idea on how to build your character in regards to the meta. Then when starting to play watch some good videos demonstrating how your build/class is played this can help alot!

Dueling is not bad, but be aware of what it will and will not teach you..

Also record your gameplay if possible and look over it from time to time, once you are not in the moment of an intense fight you will quickly start to see your bad habits, and what you did wrong and right. this can really help you improve.

Lastly try to have fun(it is a game) and find some people to play with, this game is alot better in terms of wvw/pvp if not done solo, especially if not the best of players yet.

I too have started fiddling with s/p teef roaming again. Great vid! I have some differences in my play-style and probably have a slightly diff build than yours, but doesn’t look like by much.

Have a few tips and tricks that might help you a bit.

I feel you were not utilizing shadow step fully on downs, you would break stun out of engi downed state cc instead of starting stomp avoiding it all together with shadow step and just finishing.

Also With the extra gap closer on sword may want to consider impact strike, is a personal taste thing but getting good at timing it so the last hit stomps them is oh so satisfying and will prevent a lot of rallies and unconverted downs.

Lastly trying to land pistol whips wind up animation is easier on unsuspecting foes and some classes but often you may find you take unnecessary damage winding up, you can land more pistol whips however if you start the wind up from safety and steal/shadow step into them right before the wind up is done you get the full benefit of pistol whip without some of the risk, also helps with classes with break-stun who try to run out of the pistol whip.

All in all though very good! Those are just more minor tips to play around with =)

So I like origami, sometimes have dabbled in miniature origami as well. This is a variant of anibal voyers horse done with a 2 inch square, llama is positioned in the classic llama dance finish or close too, did not really have a solid image to go off of at the time.

It stands on a penny, not my neatest of works but first I have tried a model of this complexity at this scale, with the foil side out(the foil grips your skin making it harder at times.) I have done it on a 3in square with the foil facing inward.

I see many discussing power-creep, or buff vs nerf. But that is not directly what fustrates me. Before HoT there were more off meta builds, and meta variants. But now it feels like you are locked into a very narrow set of traits and skills to be viable, not competitive but just viable.

To be fair this extends much beyond this last update. But lets look at warrior, it had probably some of the better build diversity prior to this patch in part because it had many elements that were very strong and probably deserved a nerf. So anet nerfed the aspects that made warrior sustain and some other powerful elements of warrior, this alone does not bug me, what anet has failed to do and failed to do again was bring up many unused skills and even entire trait lines that have been neglected.

In addition many classes are locked into 2 out of 3 specializations to be viable. Mesmer is a great example, if you want to have the ability to reliably clear condi you need inspiration, and if you do not take chrono it leaves you at a big disadvantage, this alone greatly hinders build diversity.

So in short Nerfs are fine, but stop neglecting entire skills and trait lines that currently have no role or purpose, its like Arms , Tactics, Critical Strikes, conjured weapons, spirit weapons, guardian signets, elementalists glyphs, engi’s wrench kit, many individual skills, etc have been out of meta or never in meta for so long anet has forgotten about them entirely. And change the over reliance on so many traits and skills, I am tired of having to have alchemy on engi for example, let Tools trait line be a viable substitute.

Ran client repair, still bugged, pvp build fully specced, but wants me to select preset, which does not clear the bug. I can click continue but doesn’t let me if i am solo or not the q starter of a party.

Thank you for the help, I have made to shortcuts for gw2 client with the client ports 80 and 443, and if i rotate between them it seems to make it much better, which leads me to suspect throttling of some sort.

In addition I had an application that came with the mobo that helped regulate and prioritize bandwidth for gaming via Ethernet port. It was good software, but as I am not currently using the Ethernet port, it may have contributed in the slowdown. It has been uninstalled for now(can always reinstall it via disc later.)

GW2 is very CPU intensive. had an i7 3.4 ghz that was old and was lucky to get 20fps in certain zones with medium graphics.

Granted that setup had other issues that probably contributed.

I am now on a better faster cpu (intel i7 4ghz unlocked) and works like a charm 60-90fps. Keep in mind I only have a nvidia gtx 750 atm(plan to upgrade it soon).

few things to try, make sure your cpu temps are staying cool while in game, as gw2 will use alot of cpu, and this could account for low fps and may damage your cpu.

adjust settings like LOD distance, character model limit, set shadows to none, and anything else that will cause the game to render lots of models. This will keep the game looking spiffy while lowering the strain on your cpu. If it still is a problem then set graphical details lower.

Hopefully that helps you out!

I live in Raleigh NC, and I have Time Warner as my ISP. At certain times (generally morning hours and mid afternoon) GW2 lags to the point of disconnects and just being unplayable, with up to 4k ping spikes. If I run a speed test with gw2 client closed I get 100+ mbps download and 8+ mbps upload. With gw2 open however it is less than 5 mbps download and less than 3 mbps upload.

This has been very consistent. Changing my settings in game does not help and my fps is generally 60-90 despite what I set my setting too.

Pros-

more balanced matchmaking, I know I am a much better warrior than I am a DH for example, so this will reflect that.

No more players switching and taking forever then coming in a minute later just to guarantee you lose skill rating(hate that feeling)

Cons-

Longer Q times

Rip you next time you have 3-5 teefs on your team, cause you better have some really good teefs.(not that it cannot be done..)

I still think there should be two separate leader-boards one for solo-duo q and one for team q.

If you want to solo/duo q leave the current matchmaking, but add a separate q and leader board for pre-mades

Yes Q times would be slightly longer for solo/duo, and prob much longer for team q but matches I think would be far more balanced and enjoyable.

If necro is as broken as you day – why is it the main target in every match?

I honestly dread when I have a necro on my team and rejoice when I see one on enemy team. Its funny

I see, you attack the weakest enemy first and ignore the 2-4 stronger and more dangerous enemys on the initial mid fight? I should copy that strategy….

I was always under the assumption it was cause necros start with 0% LF now. Necros were not always first targets until that change. Necros need LF as part of their damage mitigate so at the first team fight they are heavily focused, as that is when they are most vulnerable. I say let necros start the match with 25% LF as that is close to the standard for dueling arenas, and would give necros the ability to mitigate more of the initial focus and their team more room to support them. However after that initial engagement necro can still be pretty strong.

Though I have to agree I feel necro could use some love from anet, though not sure what I would want to see buffed other than starting LF. Maybe improved utility, some lowered cast times or something(I mean really we have the worst stability access in the game and some of the stupidest cast times on top of it…).

However I fear buffing necro damage too much may overbalance and lead to more nerfs later down due to QQ.

Why not swap the precision and healing stat.

This way you still get some healing, but will be more killable.

I dont understand why menders is a problem though. A druid after the nerfs will even out a fight in 1 vs 1 but it has to trait to win a fight and might not use menders. For instance the ancient seeds trait line if you want it to win 1 vs 1.

Also druid isnt a auto win 1 vs 1 class anymore, im not normally the persona to argue for the HOT specs but people get killed so fast by any sort of 2 vs 1 unless the 2 are not up to par.

We are at a point where this amulet is the only support amulet in the game. It helps ele and druid players support other classes as well as old shout guardians. I wouldnt want to see support be straight taken from the game.

If you want to see every class run shield, trait for invulnerable, etc etc etc even more then it is. Go ahead and kill the amulet.

The idea was not to kill the amulet or nerf druid, but to stray away from bunker’s. Heck that is why cleric got removed. At the same time having healimg power as a stat on a pvp amu is incredibly helpful for eles, druids, etc.

The idea here is to make menders more damage oriented while still providing some healing. I think it would prob buff mender’s honestly as more classes could use it without a major damage loss.

Currently recruiting. We are an NA guild.

About the guild,

We are a group of about 10+ friends who love to duel/PvP, we are looking for more like minded players.

We want a non-toxic, low salt environment, if you are quick to rage or like to trash talk the enemy this is not the guild for you. We believe in good sportsmanship and having fun. We understand PUGs can be very frustrating and hard to deal with and may complain within our own discord but we do not take our frustration out on other players, as it adds to the toxicity of the game. Also we do not troll.

We have a dueling server, and discord.

Also we have a no politics/religion rule for our guild, as in we don’t talk about it within the guild. I do not care and do not want to know. Also it makes for a nice change of pace from map chat lol.

So if you want a chill mature pvp guild where you can practice, improve, play and have fun, all while avoiding toxic players send me an in game mail.

I have had some issue with burst skills going off after I use one and then switch weapons could just be me. That and king of fires is bugged.

Here i thought it was my keys broken but others experiencing it too.

My best guess is it has to do with this..

“Most skills will now attempt to activate as soon and frequently as possible so long as their inputs are held down. This also applies to most ground-targeted skills when instant ground targeting is used”

I can consistently re-create this bug, it happens when you enter berserk mode on warrior and then proceed to cast the primal burst skill. If I hold down the skill for a split second too long it will bug out the burst skill, causing it to cast itself repeatedly even after a weapon swap, and certain skills are used.

Also I have had this bug after restarting the client and my PC. Also is anyone else noticing this? Noticed a distinct lack of mention of this bug on the forums.

If using the spear strictly to pull I believe every other tether is a pull(unless you wait a while between tethers) also renewed focus refreshes BOTH the spear and the pull.

“Reduced capture point size on waterfall”

If I am not mistaken waterfall is the home point for blue team, by making it smaller doesn’t it give 1 team an unfair advantage? For example if red is a team with lots of cleave they will have a huge advantage over blue, as they have more room to kite on their home point, and will be able to assault blue with ease.

I know it is a small advantage, but why would you change that in the first place?

However if they meant graveyard I could completely understand it, as the mid point is equally accessible by both teams and is rather large for a contest point.

Maybe I am missing something, but I assume they meant graveyard??

Was in wvw and the game crashes. I got the “gw2 has encountered a serious error pop up” and suddenly gw2 reopens on its own and I am back in wvw. Sword 2 was suddenly autocasting even though it wasn’t on autocast and giving alacrity. And all the ui text was gone, making it practically impossible to send a bug report via game.

What about utility skills? Aren’t there enough utility, heal and elite skills just lying on the ground never equipped by anyone anymore? Things that were maybe flavor of the month once but were either replaced or reduced to worthlessness by damage/effect or cooldown nerfs? The same could be said for traits as well. Even the respective pools of runes and sigils are bursting at the seams with wholly neglected assets (although, that’s probably a different issue than what’s discussed here).

This is actually a pretty good point.

We have seen flavor of the month build changes, but there are many weapon skill sets, traits, runes, sigils, etc. that have been horribly neglected, and I do feel in some ways HoT has not helped with this and in some instances created this. Due to the power creep with the elite specs you are forced into at least one trait line already(if 99% of the time it is more powerful why would you not.) However that alone I could live with, but now you have less options as only two trait lines are optional. Add in the neglected traits, and underused weapons, and build diversity goes way down.

For example let’s look at necro, necro is one of the few classes you may choose to not take the elite spec and still get by OK. However most people will take reaper. After that we pretty much need soul reaping. Now we have been already been locked into two out of the three lines, and within those lines we have worthless or sub-par traits like “fear of death.”

We could also Look at warrior traits the same way, or we could talk about things other than just traits like engineer’s rifle…

TLDR- We are forced into some trait lines, there are many outperformed/useless individual traits, and other weapon/utility skills that are subpar and outperformed.

If some of these were reworked and brought up there could be more build diversity.(at a minimum more options for the next flavor of the month build.)

. An SSD would also be a nice addition, since you’ll probably have the money for it.

Second this, however if tight on cash can always buy a smaller SSD 250gb or so, and just put your OS and GW2 on it, then get a larger HDD like 1-2tb and dump all other files/downloads/misc apps etc. on it. you will need to set up the 2 drives properly but once you have them all set up you will have the benefits of an SSD for gw2 and boot times on your pc, but will not hit the bank nearly as hard. Just my 2 cents.

My internet was fine, ping was good, same with FPS. What it seemed to be was a communication issue between client and server. Also only happened in the PvP match.

As a warrior you cannot carry orb in vengeance, however the announcer voice will say you did.

Lost a match due to this, it was a close match I downed the enemy orb carrier, causing orb to drop, enemy downs me so I used vengeance. The orb was right next to the point so while in vengeance I try to pick it up, and I hear “You have picked up an orb,” so I assume I had it, however when I get to our point nothing happens and I hear “It appears someone is stalling for time.” at this point I notice the orb is still on the ground, so with only a few seconds left I try to pick it up again out of curiosity and I hear, “You have picked up an orb” even though It is still on the ground and then vengeance wears off and I die.

Magic Carpet and Broomstick suggestion

As it is now the magic carpet and broomstick transformations break when you try to glide, canceling the animation of the carpet/broom and instead showing your glider. However it would be really awesome to glide on a carpet or broom. No need for new animations, just do not have transform animation replaced with glide animation on glide.

I think this would be a really easy change, however due to the trivial nature of the request I can see if other quality of life and balance fixes take priority.

On all other wells on necro the chrono rune #6(2 sec quickness on well cast) gives quickness on the end of well cast, but on the healing well it gives quickness before cast. Thus halving the cast time also it can be canceled to give 2sec quickness on a 4 sec CD.

So I like poetry/writing but I suck at singing and have no recording/editing software. However I did write up a parody of just dance by lady gaga, I have sung it to myself over the original lyrics and it seems to work quite nicely.

Basically is about solo-qing(pvp) and in particular legacy of foefire.

If anyone wants to make a video with actual singing/music, please do! Just give me credit for the lyrics in the description or somewhere in the video. If you feel some lyrics may need tweaking and you change things I will not be offended.

I will refrain from commenting on specific class balance in this post, as I want to discuss more specifically how the leagues were structured and designed. Basically there are three things that really did not sit well with me in how the leagues were implemented.

1st- MMR abuse

The way it was structured was highly vulnerable to MMR tanking. I think you should always be able to lose pips, even if that loss is capped at 1pip per loss, this would help immensely, if you want a division to be easier make it less pips or just give more pips for a win. However having absolutely no penalty for tanking your MMR is probably not the best idea.

2nd- Player Griefing/Trolling

With a public ladder system this is bound to get worse, a few things that might help is a way to hide your ladder division when in public maps. Also stronger penalties for people who consistently grief other players. The Report-Verbal abuse feature in the game doesn’t seem to do much, an example was someone who admitted that he was actively tanking his mmr and followed us around not participating in any fights and proceeded to tell us how much we sucked(with much more profanity) as we fought a 4v5. I then proceeded to encounter this player for a month after he was reported and just ended up blocking him.

3rd- Disabling ranked between leagues.

I understand taking away the ability to progress in the leader-boards/ladder and even the extra rewards, but by disabling the ranked queue completely causes conflict within the community. In general people who want to test new builds and classes play unranked, when they feel they are ready to test these builds and classes in a more competitive environment they go to ranked. That split is important by disabling the ranked queue it forces players who want to play competitively with players who want to play casually to play together and causes many conflicts of interests, and hostility within the community.

So first I get Skyhammer, then I get stomped at mid fight. Then to add insult to injury it spawns me underneath the map. Also our teammate DC’ed 3 times, making it a 3v5. Submitted a report in game as well.

Tried getting aggro on wurms so I could die by using underwater skills but no luck, as they were all invulnerable.
