Butt-capes….butt-capes everywhere! Anet can’t get enough of them butt-capes,. If you want skimpy, roll a light toon. Want long-coats and pants? roll medium. If you want to hide every inch of skin on your body, roll heavy. You get a few nice ones for medium, I.e. Strider’s, assassin’s, or sneakthief. I used to take issue with this, but how else are you supposed to visually represent “medium” armor?
Hey folks!
I just finished map exploration on my second toon in NA and received my gifts of exploration. I’m not sure what i’m going to go for, but i feel the itch coming on that a legendary is in my future. Any help with Mithril Ore, Elder Wood Logs, T6 mats or mystic curios would be much appreciated!

Easy…guy. No need to jump on me for misreading…what a shining example of the community.
No clue what you’re talking about — I wasn’t even addressing your post.
sorry, I think we posted at the same time. My statement was not directed at you,
Easy…guy. No need to jump on me for misreading…what a shining example of the community.
To get back on track, it wouldn’t surprise me if Anet started doing something like this. They’ve overhauled the black lion chests many times in the past. Maybe they’re finally hearing the community’s cries for obtaining outfits that have been “phased out”. For example, bringing back the Winter Solstice armor during the upcoming Wintersday, and giving players a chance to pull it out of the chest.
he’s not your guy, friend.
I’m not your friend, pal.
:D

this just links to the Slayer’s outfit, which is currently on the Gemstore for 700 gems

On election day? Anet, you clever, clever entity, you.
My music project, called Catalyst, is a solo effort. I’ve just finished, and would like to share, my take of the “Carol of the Bells”. Bring your headbanging wig!
Please enjoy and leave a comment!
So I logged in on my Chrono and tossed on the Flameseeker Prophecies. I wasn’t paying much attention, but I quickly noticed something new when I draw my shield! Then, to my surprise, strange footfalls were following me! My Chronomancer thanks you very much for this change. This has been my favorite legendary since release and deserves these effects!

has anyone typed up a list of changes or is there a stream capture somewhere with the details? or do we really not know that much?
Hope you are right, but I’m not holding my breath.
What i mean, is to add the option to sell items on the TP directly from the bank via right click, just as you would put them up for sale from your inventory.
I watched your video and then had to try it for myself. Took a couple of jumps, but i eventually made it alive. The irony…is that I work at a prison as a corrections officer in real life, XD
Currently inviting people to fill up the cell, join Kira Aihara in game to join in!

unfortunately, these forums can’t be used for public trading. The best thing to utilize is the in game trading post.
Cheers

A small quality of life improvement would be that I am able to sell items directly from my account bank instead of having to drag it into my inventory first. I’m not sure if this has been brought up before, but there you have it. This is nitpicking, but hey, when it it is something this small, I’d say that is a darn good sign. Keep up the good work ANET,

I’d prolly just go for it now. We have no idea what the new legendary crafting system has in store for us. It’ll likely make things easier, as is the trend with updates lately, but you never know. Right now, you know exactly what it will take to make a legendary. When HoT comes how, we may all be blindsided by some new, intense grind. Unlikely, but there you have it.
the in game message for ten minutes came up, so another 7 mins or so
yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is all

At the risk of sounding like a broken record; the Silverwastes is probably one of the better ways to make money in pve. Between the boss events and chest farms, you can rack up lots of rares and salvage all of your blues/greens for bookoo crafting materials and essences of luck. Not to mention plenty of dust/dragonite/empyrial fragments/obsidian shards to help in your crafting of ascended/legendary items. Lots of T6 as well. One round of chest running can net well over the 1-2 gold per hour you currently get running around in orr.
probably couldn’t hurt to go ahead and buy one. not very helpful, i know. but we don’t know enough about what will be included in HOT to make an accurate prediction. Personally, I went ahead and got another slot after getting all other profs to 80.
I’ve got it completed on several, I just don’t want to leave the rest high and dry. Your answer makes sense, though. Traditional MMO sense tells us that you need to complete the previous story line before moving on to the XPAC story line…..but GW2 isn’t traditional…is it,
In prep for HOT, and after playing GW2 officially for 882 days, i finally got my last toon to 80 to finish off every profession. That being said, most of them aren’t very far in their personal story. Will it be a requirement to finish your Personal Story before heading into HOT’s story?

I’m not saying it’s the end all/be all of pistol/shield builds. But it has been working great for me. It’s a lot more enjoyable for me than spamming nades. And i meant what i said about out dpsing ‘nades when it comes to large groups. Remember, i said nades do have the advantage against one to 3 mobs if you can get all three grenades to hit all the targets (not easy to do w/o auto target). I’ve taken this build into TA’s level 80 path and it performs wonderfully. World bosses do leave you a little wanting, but that is maybe 5-10% of the game at level 80. Single target mobs in open world go down pretty quick. Give it a try and you might be surprised .
yeah, Mod ammo is a lot better than i gave it credit for initially. We all know how good SD is. I initially wanted to use SD, but the alchemy line gives you a little more of a safety net if things start to go south in a dungeon/open world.
And that is strange your sigil won’t proc. As far as my experience goes, i’ve always gotten might on swap.
Actually, i like the modified ammunition idea. I’ll try that out.
As for bomb kit might stacking, i think the other benefits of Elixirs outweigh just stacking might. I don’t want to spend hardly any time in a kit except elixir gun for perma swiftness.
I actually JUST posted a pistol/shield build: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/engineer/Pistol-Shield-HGH-zerker/first#post3004415
It focuses on building some might with HGH and doing as much damage with the pistol as possible. A lot of peeps don’t like pistol in PvE, but I don’t base what I play on the opinions of others unless it is a class i’m totally unfamiliar with.
This is a build idea for those that want to show off their “The Flameseeker Prophecies” (or if you’d just like a pistol/shield build). I designed it for PVE and don’t know how well it will work in PVP or WvW. It is about eeking out as much damage from the Pistol as I can manage.
Weapons: Berserker’s Pistol/Shield – The reason this build exists. Don’t knock pistols for zerker builds until you try them out. Get a sigil of force and sigil of battle for increased damage and might respectively.
Pistol 1: Will crit for over 1k in level 80 zones, while stacking bleeds and doing lots of AOE damage. Coated Bullets is taken for piercing shots. The bullets will also often explode for 1k+ crits. I would argue that I can do more AOE damage with a pistol than with ‘nades. Nades will still have the advantage against a single target if you can get all 3 to land.
Pistol 2: When all the shots are taken, I’ve seen my total crit damage total over 5k. Also stacks poison.
Pistol 3: I use this every cooldown. This will also crit for 1k+. The confusion damage is just a bonus and will crit for about the same, maybe 950ish. It bounces 4 times, so if you have 4 mobs, that is four 1k crits and 8 stacks of confusion total.
Shield 4: Defensive skill. I don’t use it a lot against normal mobs (they die too quickly), but It shines during fights against ranged vets, champs, or bosses. It is also great if multiple mobs get too close and gives you a good knock-back.
Shield 5: Oh how I love this skill. Thrown shields will hit each mob in a line twice, once on the way out and once on the way back for about 1.2k crit damage.
Utilities: Elixir H, Elixir U, Elixir B, Elixir Gun, Elixir X
Elixer H – Heals, builds Might with HGH, and grants Protection, Regen, or Swiftness. 20 second recharge with Fast-Acting Elixirs. Gives you a throwable Elixir on your toolbelt which will build Might with HGH and randomly grant Protection, Regen, or Vigor.
Elixir U – Builds Might with HGH, grants Quickness and another random utility skill. (btw…did you know quickness affects gathering speed?). Gives you a throwable Elixir on your toolbelt which will build Might with HGH and create a random spell.
Elixer B – Builds Might with HGH, grants Fury, Might, Retaliation, and Swiftness. Gives you a throwable Elixir on your toolbelt which will build Might with HGH and randomly grant Fury, Might, Retaliation, or Swiftness.
Elixir Gun – I use this mainly underwater and to grant perma-Swiftness with the Speedy Kits trait. It also gives you Regen and a Stun-Breaker on your toolbelt. Elixirs on the Elixir gun will unfortunately NOT grant Might with HGH.
Elixir X – Because it’s fun. Use Supply Crate or whatever you want. It will build Might with HGH.
Traits: 0/30/0/30/10 (feel free to move things around if you don’t like my choices, they work for me so that’s why I’m recommending them). Thank you DesertRose for the Modified Ammunition suggestion.
Firearms – V. Precise Sights – 50% chance to cause Vulnerability on crit. A little extra damage will get through. VII. Coated Bullets – Love me some piercing bullets. Helps when fighting multiple mobs. XI. Modified Ammunition – More damage per condition type on a mob.
Alchemy – II. Fast-Acting Elixirs – 20% faster Elixir recharge lets you use your Elixirs more often. X. Cleansing Formula 409 – Say what you want, but conditions in PvE are still annoying, especially snares. XI. HGH – The backbone Might builder of the build. You’ll be stacking about 12-15 stacks for yourself. This is a good number because if you are running in a group, it’s likely you will also gain Might from other sources as well and Might beyond 25 stacks is just wasted.
Armor: Berserker’s with Ruby Orbs. Feel free to use Might runes if you would prefer.
Get yourself some Crit food and get out there and start chugging some Elixirs! Please feel free to critique and offer up some variations if you think there is a better way to run this build!

farm champs in frostgorge or run dungeons, then place buy orders on TP for unid dyes with the money that you earn. It will be much faster than trying to farm all the dyes individually because i don’t think there is a way to reliably “farm” unid dyes
you can think of it as free banking…until your order fills.
great work TTS, glad i could be a part of it!
I’ll take an invite, what time are you guys planning on organizing and on what server?
SoS used to be such a great server, -_-
Going for Flameseeker, Missing 100-150 of each of the T6 (except C Dust) and a few dungeon tokens. Unfortunately i’m pretty broke ATM.
put the tickets in your inventory, then talk to him, should open an extra dialogue option.
Same issues, playing on Sea of Sorrows
I get decent amounts of T5 from champ farming in frostgorge, i just use the forge to upgrade them later. T6 also drop frequently
Could you possibly let us bind/hotkey specific waypoints? maybe limit it to 4 or 6 or so?
Any server have this open? JQ is contested again.
2/3, best salvage was 3 Ectos, 3 Dark matter, and an inscription that sold for 6g. BLSK
I thought i was doing a nice amount of damage…3 nades all critting for over 1k…it was nice while it lasted
That makes sense, a guildie was confused about how it increased in points needed level from level and somehow attributed it to that.
Well, do we know if it is better to hoard your essences until you have the 4.2 mil points required for 300%? or can you use them as you get them and not lower your chances of finding essences? Worded differently…the higher your MF, the lower your chances are of finding some or all types of essences?
Card approval failed. I put in a ticket several days ago, but it was marked as duplicate. I couldn’t edit my previous ticket concerning the same issue because it was marked as closed.

Fractal Knights [FK] is a brand new guild. We plan to focus mainly on fractal completion. Any level (both char and fractal) is welcome. You don’t always have to rep us. Think of us more like a LFG channel.
I operate out of Sea of Sorrows but have members from other home worlds. We are new, so we don’t have all the perks yet, but we will work on that as the influence comes. Anyone can invite once they join, so bring your friends along.
That’s pretty much it. So join up and I hope this can easier facilitate finding groups for fractals. See you in game!

Character: Kira Aihara
extra bag slots per character is 400 gems.
If you don’t buy gems, you will have limited space and thus need bigger bags. If you want more space but don’t want to spend a bit of gold, you will need to spend the gems and use the cheaper bags. Where as if you don’t buy gems, you’ll need the 20 slotters to have reasonable storage per char.
