I could be wrong but stand your grand might be working as intended because it grants 5 stacks of stability at once which would be 10 seconds of quickness. Between that the shout elite feel my wrat, and the mantra cone quickness and heal skill traited it might be possible to up keep it on a party. Add in some boon duration and you have something.

The majority of that mobility wasn’t even from rifle it was rocket boots and it looks like tools gadgeteer trait which makes rocket boots insanely good for mobility that was the highlight of that vid for me anyway rifle 5 was used as an extra leap but it wasn’t the main source.

Personally hoped that the sword traited would maybe make it into a Firebrand or Guardian condi build but honestly it just feels weak and the cast time hurts far to much for the low damage it puts out. I honestly still think sword is bugged getting lower damage value numbers then what I used to before all the “fixes”

Hammer really didn’t do anything for me it lost it’s blast finisher potential and its random knockback/down 3 hit it used to do.

Shield was nothing but nerfed funny enough one of the spirit weapons that actually had a purpose now really has none.

Bow is prob imo the only one that made out ok but again it’s very slow, the base healing it can dish out if you remain in the small circle is great but I’m not sure if it cleanses conditions anymore?

Over all I feel like Spirit weapon “update” could have been much better and overall disappointing with it hope it’s looked at again and doesn’t take as long as it did before to do it.

Best condi dps on pretty much any raid boss that condi is preferred and very strong power dps on most raid bosses all while being pretty easy to play and brings great group break bar power in a raid setting.

Amazing in fractals for with team break bar power top tier damage and amazing self sustain power or condi with multiple viable builds that will push out above average dps. Plus its great at skipping very pug friendly and has great pug carry potential granted you know the mechs and are potted up all while being pretty easy to play in a fractal setting.

Open world pve can pretty much do whatever but its easily the quickest class in terms of getting around and again amazing self sustain only down side being in the lowest hp pol category which can easily be fixed through gear.

Spvp has multiple builds both power and condi with D/P dash daredevil being it’s strongest. While WvW thieves are known for roaming again multiple builds and ofc the ability to essentially reset or ditch a fight if things get to hectic. They also have zerg builds That involve staff and bound dodge bombing as well as shortbow choking gas spam with Impacting Disruption.

Spvp and Wvw imo are where things become more difficult in terms of playing on thief as you start using initiative outside of a set combo and it’s fairly easy to get blown up if you don’t have the right mind set and aren’t quick on escapes. I would say its moderate between hard.

Thief is possibly in the best shape it’s ever been in every single weapon set is seeing usage in various game modes except for I think sword pistol I personally don’t see that used someone could correct me about that though.

Still running core engie for wvw and pvp using the new gadgeteer. It has really helped the build. So I think this is an issue of not adapting. The new trait is obviously for other specs, like perma quickness scrapper. I’m really happy with the trait changes.

Now it’s time to fix some of our useless traits. (invention line anyone?)

No one is taking tools on a quickness scrapper let alone shooting off 5 tool belt skills just for 5-7 seconds of quickness. Also not sure why you would call inventions useless which makes me think you may just be trolling.

Lol scrap rifle really would be a massive upgrade rifle is simply left behind. I’m a bit surprised rifle got such minior changes when it finally got some attention blunderbuss more bleeding and 10% damage in all game modes which is good but then a nerf to jump shot for some reason initial leap damage cut by 56% lol while only buffing the landing zone by 28% lol.

Personally felt like rifle would have been the best candidate for at least using the new ammunition system on but guess not…..

Are you talking about Pvp? If so DE has some condi burst potential with marking and venom utility and the ranged immobilize traited, other wise it doesn’t have any actual upkeep.

Uhhhh Currently Condi rev hits 32k on a NON moving golem with a legend that honestly has no real synergy jails. Add in shortbow alone and we gain access to a condi (bleeding) we never had before outside of a sigil proc geomancy plus some more burning.

Gain access to a raw damage increase with Kalla’s Fevor which will undoubtedly be traited for pve 300% ferocity and 20% condition damage are you kidding me??? We have a trait that increases our bleeding by 25% when we have fury. Shortbow skills will pierce and inflict 25% more bleeding with heartpiercer.

Then we have the utility skills where they’re going to be perfectly fine in a pve setting because summoned Ai take massively reduced damage. Razorclaw’s Rage will effectively give 5 allies 10 bleed stacks.

While Icerazors fire will prob be used by power builds it actually does a healthy amount of damage. Then Darkrazor’s Daring which is 6 pulses of daze which in itself is decent cc 600 break bar damage over the course of 6 seconds so you can be doing other break bar damage with sb 5 which is 200 for a total.

Then ofc the elite skill which is just an outright damage boost because the damage portion has no icd. Plus its an energy drain type again which will proc Diabolic Inferno just more than once if energy permitting.

Meta Holosmith Build? Power or Condi?

It’s called Grieving and its on the wiki under four or more attributes, while condi eng uses prob the most power damage out of all condi builds I’m not entirely sure how it will work considering it needs a healthy amount of expertise to max out on duration. Who knows though may find a middle ground.

Pretty much every balanced update expected this trait to be nerfed it was especially brutal when choking gas was buffed and I think the main reason it got nerfed again. I’m not entirely sure why anet choose to leave it alone without an icd.

That’s why its called elite specialization it’s meant to be stronger and it always gives up something from a trait line no matter what even if the trait line wouldn’t benefit the build that a person is running its still not getting access to it because were locked to 3 traitlines.

It’s just going to be similar to warriors with berserk active ppl need to learn to back off and learn the key animations to look out for.

That goes for just about every other class tbh ppl learning others animations and when they’re juiced up.

Meta Holosmith Build? Power or Condi?

Sword obv for Holo is power based but Holosmith is going to be used by both condi and power builds for raids.

For condi its going to use Phonto forges 4 skill and 1 skill as a filler while kit moves are on cd. It’s traits are going to be Solar focusing lens, Crystal Configuration Storm, and Photonic Blasting Module. I’m not entirely sure if it will use the new elite but it leave a burning field above 50% heat.

Photon Blitz is pretty mcuh thief unload with 8 stacks of burning attached.

Solar focusing lens is pretty much an extra flamethrower tool kit skill.

Cyrstal Configuration Storm turns Forges 1 skill into explosives which will trigger Shrapnel.

Photonic Blast Module does a decent amount of damage applies a chunk of burning and grants us 15% with lasers edge. Which will also trigger the second portion of Solar Focusing lens for more burning because we overheat. It also stop the initial self explosion damage which would be a massive pain for druids/support to keep and eye on.

Imo at the very least I have a feeling it will replace the Tools trait line especially with the recent nerfs it saw. As for the Power build no idea tbh.

Anyone that actually cares about healing already knows druid isn’t wanted in pve raids and fractals for its healing its for special buffs being empower, spirits, and grace of the land. Tempests, Guardians, and Revs can all outshine druids in the healing department they just lack special buffs and because raiding honestly doesn’t require a massive amount of raw healing unless ppl miss a mech druids will remain the go to healer.

Support Revs, Guardians, and Tempests see far more usage in wvw large scale fights because they have more access not only to healing but boons and utility that are better suited for constant sustain and heavy incoming damage.

As someone else stated though Firebrand could potentially fill a role providing perma quickness perma might through staff and the quickness mantra, all while potentially having higher dps than a chrono tank. The issue remains what are you giving up, because as it stands currently ppl will always want warrior for banners, ppl will always want druids for spirits, empower, and gotl.

The big question remains though will Firebrands dps in a supportive role out pace a Chrono tank that gives alacrity and will it be easy enough access for the group to receive Firebrand buffs.

Not sure how to fix but things I noticed that felt horrible. The class itself needs quickness to even function properly which to me doesn’t feel right. Mantras 300 cone is also not a good idea while I realize they don’t want it to overshadow shouts a cone just doesn’t to well imo.

Don’t see this happening because it would cause more power creep. Power scourge is already super strong in a spvp environment solely because axe and dagger build so much life force so quickly even though scourges traitline really doesn’t have anything appealing to a power based build.

People realize that scourge unlike base necro and reaper are outright craving life force and condi simply doesn’t generate it as quickly as power weps do, been that way for a while doubt it will change especially considering how scourge is mostly likely going to beat reaper in condi damage.

Faster life force gain for condi would pretty much equal more dumhnfire procs all without the need for utility skills that specialize in giving lifeforce.

I personally just don’t use the actual legend in a pvp setting primarily because like others have stated the summons are susceptible to cc I found the trait line and the shortbow on the other hand to be amazing and exactly what condi rev needed in terms of a ranged option.

Im doing Menders amulet scourge 3,1,1 blood 1,1,1 and soul reaping 2,2,2. with axe and focus and staff 2 wells and w/e the armor utility is that gives life force on damage taken with the lynx rune Barrier for me personally was strong as ever between summoning a greater shade to place barrier on a friendly or myself and the f2 the heal skill and desert shroud was able to make some clutch saves with it. The well grand master made it pretty easy to heal off melee cleaves while rezzing also.

Torments base condi damage was increased to the level of bleeds in live for pve. Plus scourge has a grand master that increases torments damage by 33% and triggers burning every 3 secs when a target has torment. Plus duhnfire however its spell procs off your shades any time you use a f1 skill and f5 pulses it. They also got a massive increase to burning as a condi in their kitten nal period with torch.

I’ll Personally be surprised if scourge doesn’t beat condi reaper for damage in a pve environment and raiding one. As for Barrier its I really hope people aren’t using it outside of combat otherwise its just going to go poof, outside of doing that it’s very strong the biggest thing though is that it scales off of Vit and Healing power so that’s very important to take note of.

I think its intended there’s some other text at the bottom of the skill saying can grant it simultaneously or something which I think counts towards the stacks so 5 instances of stab gives 5 instances of quickness. It’s without a doubt insane though between that the Shout elite and the mantra plus heal skill granting quickness if traited the up time is insane.

It may not be out yet but im pretty sure condi rev is going to be ditching berserk runes and geomancy for either balth runes or nightmare/trapper rune combo and a malice sigil with the food changes its pretty hard for them to max out as they have no burning duration boosters in the trait lines along with torment only having a 20% duration increase. Poison on the other hand for them is easy to max out with it getting a whooping 50% from corruption traitline.

Overall having torment and confusion function like this in PvE is really nice for condi rev and condi mesmer as they should potentially drop out of the niche category and with the upcoming e specs definitely be top tier contenders

Will have to wait and see what the sword ambush skills are and if Phantasms even do them plus what its ambush skill is. As is honestly don’t need any more power boosters since we recently had superiority complex and phantasmal force added which made sword phants the clear winner.

All mirage needs to do for power is beat out domination which is 15% damage to illusions and like 12% damage we personally gain with max vul on a target and hopefully mirage’s ambush skills for sword are enough..

It’s a bit funny this is literally just crying at it’s best no one is forcing anyone to even par take in the new fractal. If you can’t beat it at level 25 then either practice or just move on to something else just like how people avoid raiding they can simple avoid shattered observatory if it’s the daily fractal then Tuff. I personally avoid Thermua nova whatever its called not because it’s insanely hard I just don’t care for it even when it is the daily.

The only thing from Shattered Observatory at level 25 that’s required is for ppl to not have utterly mindblowing low damage output and they need to know what Crowd control( CC) is. The other mechs especially ark will make more sense each time you die unless a great deal of people just fall into the category of ragging instead of trying to understand what exactly killed them. Is this fractal even a week old yet?!?!?

Are people sure btw that most of these mirage skills and traits cover phantasms I have a bad feeling it doesn’t. Reason I ask is doesn’t signet of illusions only apply the extra hp to Illusions and not phantasms? Wouldn’t that mean almost if not all the stuff stated in the traitline is only going to affect illusions aka clones only?

I can see scourge being a thing in newer raids possibly as support. Also can’t forget its going to be the new condi spec so theres that and prob stronger and less spin to win in ice field than the current condi reaper.

Personally I feel like this is going to buff the condi build for raiding at least. Will most likely go axe/torch and scepter/pistol. If phantasms use ambush skills will still be the same goal of placing 3 pistol phants on a boss they will just have more damage, while we cycle between scepter and axe AA and big moves.

The main thing will be having decent damage if we need to swap targets seeing how clones can actually deal nice damage with ambush skills. It won’t be hard to summon 3 clones in a short amount of time or 2 since we can just throw on torch phant.

I personally loved the fact that we did multiple things and didn’t stay on one story path the whole time I think it really showed just how chaotic things were and they handled delivering it.

I’m pretty sure though this living story episode was mean’t to build up a lot of major points were going to see in the future tbh, imo thats what a living story should do especially seeing how were going to have another expansion which will most likely have that same singular story similar to HoT but who knows I loved it all.

Its worth playing I think most ppl are simply disappointed with scrapper In the sense of how insanely strong it was at the start of HoT and actually used in pve and pvp. Then it received nerfs, possibly the most nerfs of any HoT specialization and ended up seeing next to no use in Pve namely raids while in Pvp it remained pretty much exactly the same even with the nerfs so it ended up just being less fun.

If S/D were to be nerfed the 3 main things I would look at are Potent poison Grandmaster trait in Deadly arts for some reason Anet felt they needed to buff this by added an additional stack to any Deadly art traits that apply poison. That in turn affects Panic Strike which poisons foes for 2 stacks of poison now when you immobilize them. Couple that with Sword 2# infiltrator strike which immbolizes a foe on the first chain.

Then in turn the immobilize causes foes to have to sit in Uncatchable while also having damage increased by Lotus training. Then ofc which was nerfed somewhat but still plenty strong thieves dodging(whirl finisher) inside of Choking gas from Shortbow 4 which dazes/intterupts targets when they hit 5 poison stacks and if a thief wants to be even more crazy they can opt to remove Escapist Absolution and take Impacting disruption which pretty much equals free random pulmonary impacts near anyone thats caught in choking gas/dodge combo and it’s still nice damage since most run carrion amulet which has a healthy amount of power.

Funny enough almost everything in the last 3 I think patches led up to this S/d condi build in terms of it being a thing.

Ontop of all this they have pretty decent condi cover and all around general consistent condi upkeep. Is it better than D/P dash thief prob not but it’s very very very strong.

Are you dodging backwards to avoid a shatter? If so that may be why it’s still hitting you. Another possibility is they the clones/phants were set in different positions and reached you at different times.

Because when you put on anything that’s not Zerk, Marauder, Destroyer or Viper, the Revenant will only do like 50 damage per hit. All it can do is knockback and try to stay alive. That’s what bunking is.

No that’s not what a bunker is….and if you honestly think all a support rev does is knock players off point with ventari elite you must either be trolling or have no idea about the build.

Why do ppl call them bunker revs when there is literally no amulet that gives toughness and healing power. I just find it odd I never see anyone say bunker druid or bunker tempest but I see bunker rev or bunker guard when all 4 of these builds are literally just support builds with a squishy amulet(Menders). There really are no bunker builds left in spvp It’s primarily protection that makes anything seem beefy. The only thing that might come close to an actual bunker is a paladin scrapper meta build.

All I know is that so far they’re following a theme even though anet has stated otherwise. I’m not sure if bolt is suppose to be the cool or silly looking wep and its 100% open to whatever interpretation but something tells me if its sword, hammer or greatsword were in for something silly/comical looking. Honestly the only legendary wep I can personally think of that don’t share the cool/silly thing is axe.
