“Playing GUild wars 2” now basically goes like this:
start mission,
move to NPC#1,
alt-tab to firefox, browse forums/etc., while NPC#1 finishes her kittentalking
alt-tab to guild wars 2, move to NPC#2
go afk, get a coffee
back to the game, kittening NPC#2 is finally done.
i now can finally actually play the mission.
it really shouldnt be like that. im drinking way too much coffee cuase of that aswell.
unskippable dialogue/cutscenes are some of the worst sins you can commit when making a game and should be illegal. pairing that up with achievements that can be failed and require you to restart the mission is even worse.

Why arenanet removed all consumables and sieges from Obsidian Sanctum?
There was so much fun! I spent a lot of time there with my friends. The only motivation to get the best armor was this zone, so I can kill people there more easily.
I played every day, because in Obsidian Sanctum was a lot of fun, but since arenanet “fixed” this place I and many of my friends gradually stopped to play Guild Wars 2.
Dunno about consumables, but the siege was pure cancer, especially in the beast arena. especially arrowcarts that can fire through the kittening roof.
and yes, it did affect wubwub, cause you have to get the supply somewhere.
if you can only have fun by griefing other ppl with siege, then you and your friends are not a loss for this game at all.

Cannot use glider anywhere outside of the new map. Can only use it for a short period of time and you do not get a selection of rare version to collect and rub in the face of the poor people.

PVT, clerics…I wish they would put in templates you can ping so I could more easily avoid such time wasters in PuGs.

it’s PvE, which is easy as hell. just use whatever you want or think is fun (as long as you manage to stay alive with that)
so much this. Why do Guardians constantly get buffs? they need to get hit with the nerfbat, hard and often; not buffed...It’s like ANet telling us: “For god’s sake just reroll a guard or warrior already”.
Mark of Blood. Removed 1 bleed in PvP only.
Signet of Spite: Removed one bleed.
The kitten? The first one hits Staff way too hard.
Spite 15 – Death into Life. Increased conversion from 5% to 7%
Healing power is kitten, especially for nec. This wont change anything
Curses VIII – Banshee’s Wail. Increase cooldown reduction from 15% to 20%.
The 15% and the extended duration was already good enough. pointless buff.
Curses IV – Weakening Shroud. Increase recharge from 15 to 25.
Welp. Nerfed into uselessness…
Death 5 – Reanimator. Decreased cooldown from 30s to 15s.
Oh kittenmit, now it’s pretty obvious that theyre mocking us…decreasing cooldown doesnt do anything as long as the horror itself is still so kittening useless…
Blood Magic 25 – Blood to Power. Decreased health threshold from 90% to 75%. Increase Power from 90 to 120.
Same here. Just remove it already and give us something fun and useful instead…

Getting Reward chests that are filled with literal crap is frustrating and kinda disgusting.

I like the charrs’ posture. It’s fresh, it’s something unique and a little bit more realistic. Why would you even play a beast race if a generic human figure with a furry head is what you really want?
You should pay TESO a visit. Khajiit and Argonians look just as generic and boring as you want charr to be.
I dont like this change at all. Feels like it’s just going to make the whole CC/stability thing more spammy.
Suddenly, one answer to stability is not to play around it, but to just spam more CC and eventually youll get through.
Also, i seriously hope they tone down those kittening mordrem teragriffs then. So the hitbox isnt that ridiculous and the charge has far less hits.
And at the risk of sounding cynical, ANet probably isn’t going to apply this to all the mobs. It’s likely going to be a mechanic only for bosses and mobs in the HoT maps, because if ANet was going to be consistent about mob and status mechanics they wouldn’t have made mobs who were immune to knock despite not having Defiance in the first place.
Also, they wouldnt have given mobs CC attacks that dont give a kitten about stability. Consistency is definitely not something Anet is capable of.

This is a biased viewpoint not only because you main Necromancer (as per your signature) but also because you conveniently decided to mention that nothing multiplies condition damage without mentioning that Weakness divides power damage.
if you want to make a list of the multipliers, at least try to make a complete one:
Power:
+Vulnerability
+Numerous traits that usually give a +5% to +20% boost (and that sigil)
-Protection
-Weakness
-Toughness
Conditions:
-Cleanses
(+-Condition duration)
MORE changes (as in ‘more frequently’) with the will to admit mistakes and revert them, if necessary.

And yet, the solution is so simple. It has been suggested thousands upon thousands of times, inspired by the original Guild Wars and its flawless implementation. And I am suggesting it again, after 9 months of suffering with no relief in sight:
Show us the list of open map copies. Tell us which map copy we are on. Allow us to select which map copy we want to go to.
You already have drop-down lists. You already have queues. You already have everything you need to make it happen. For the sake of Tyria, please, stop ignoring this outrageous problem. This is simply insane.
Yup, thats really all that needs to be said about this. It worked well in Guild Wars 1, theres no reason not to do it like that again.
imo the absurdly high crit damage didnt make sense at all. it was an oversight that an all-stat-combo had more crit damage than a set that focusses on crit damage.
maybe all of celestials stats need another buff, but im completely fine with the crit damage nerf.
Of course it makes sense to nerf Plague Form. It was a skill that could make you survive 30 people for 20 seconds, and did NOT prevent capturing of points. How the hell was that not broken?
If 30 people cant manage to kill you in plague form, these 30 people should probably just uninstall the game.

This isnt a simple “yes” or “no” question. Its more complicated by now.
If you mean the actuall buff: no, not really.
If you mean the mechanics around the buff and how you obtain it: yes.
basically what all the previous posters said:
Do i want a buff tied to objectives in the center of the borderlands: YES
Do i want this buff to give stats or other in-combat-advantages to players: hell no.
there were so many good suggestions for alternative bonuses:
-the point-on-stomp
-faster upgrades
-increased/faster supply-caravans
etc.
I sometimes dance/laugh on the corpses of guardians/thieves/warriors in WvW, when roaming. If people play one of these professions and still manage to die, they deserve it.

1 unit = 1 supply. so you would be at 11 supply then.
I recommend Supply mastery (not capacity) instead. It doesnt need many points, the boni are really good and the fourth level (chance to get supply back when you spend all of it) procs quite often.
dropping one or two points into build/repair mastery also helps a lot.
High weapon damage (not the skills, the weapon itself).
If you’re a power-oriented necro, its better to have a staff with high power/precision and switch to it when you activate DS to deal damage.
im fine with not being able to be healed by other people while in DS (even if it’s stupid and i think it should work at least as a reduced rate), but Lifesteal should work 100%. not as some major trait or anything like that. we already have enough vampiric traits, if more are added they should do something more original, not a near-obligatory thing that should be part of lifesteal by default.
imo it’s just bad design that a fairly big and rather unique part of the class is countered by its class mechanic.
(and technically, it’s not even healing in the first place. you dont heal your HP, you steal them, after all)

Male charr necro here and sadly i have to agree.
Most of the armor looks bad.
its stretched, tails clip through, many headpieces cut off the horns, the cultural armor is mostly bad too.
And you have to wear kittening skirts all the time; i only found 2 actual pants for light armor in the entire game, and they look rather bad on charr aswell.
you could try out a female tho.
Norn: you rarely see norn-necros, but when you see them, theyre usually awesome. plus, the tattos. and as one of the norn-necros i met so far said: “it fits. norn are huge, which means they have more blood for sacrifices and rituals and stuff”

typical thief-main-mentality…nothing new.Get your head out of your kitten there’s nothing unbalanced about being able to reset a fight. If you make a Thief run in PvP then you get the cap point, you won. If you make a Thief run in WvW, you get the supply camp/protect the dolyak/etc and you’ve won. A Thief doesn’t run because he can kill you, he runs because he attempted to kill you and you beat him to a pulp.
Seriously, it’s not hard to understand, and it’s people like you who feed the QQ-train.

this might be news to you, but when other professions lose a fight, they can actually die.
(assuming the thief isnt a moron or too greedy):
as a thief, when i duel a non-thief, i either win or get away.
as a nec, when i duel a thief, he either gets away or i die.

have a few different skins for skills aswell, like:
-necromancer minions, for example the gw1-flesh golem skin or some undead monkeys instead of bone minions.
-warrior standarts (they could show the guild emblem!)
-engineer turrets and weapon kits (some race-specific turret-skins would be awesome)
thats stuff i would totally spend my money on.
if thats too distracting or misleading in sPvp, then there should be an option to turn it off tho.

If it’s any consolation, Eles are seriously underwhelmed by their Elite specialization as well.
The warhorn and shouts might be good and it wouldnt matter.
Since Elementalists are at the very top of the chart, almost everything will be underwhelming to them.

Havent beaten the tower yet and it isnt the tower itself that annoys me so much.
its rather the stupid cutscene, that you have to wait for ages until you can try again and that i sometimes get teleported out to the beginning for no apparent reason (but that could be caused by my crappy internet connection aswell).
but its nice to see PvE-content that is actually challenging
a parasitic bond trait that is more like its GW1 counterpart
a spinal shivers that hurts people in an AoE when it removes boons. like Pain of Disenchantment.

Necro is a class with many issues since release. Still cant play a lifesteal centered necromancer for 2 years now.

Thieves have cleave with Dagger auto-attack, but their’s deals less damage.
They dont. Only their sword has cleave.

Weakening Shroud
This trait as it currently stands on live is a borderline grandmaster trait. It is near 100% AoE weakness uptime for a small investment. The new version is still probably worthy of master tier with almost 50% AoE weakness uptime. This line has a lot of powerful traits, but suffers from having only 1 choice at grandmaster tier.
in what world is 6s/25s = almost 50%?

i still play necro and i love it.
lately i started to play him in wvw and even a little bit sPvP again and have lots of fun. and i dont feel that weak either
what really bugs me are the kinda useless/boring/weak minor traits, the kittened up fear(-update) and the lack of a viable support-build with heal (thanks to horrible transfusion/deathly invigoration/vampire-stuff).
oh, and the “this necro is not necro, QQ, rename it plx and redo it completely”-kittentards here in the forum; hell, i hate that…
Again you need to stop switching around your numbers for Attack and Power. Attack is influenced by the weapon you have on but power isn’t. This is especially important for Necros to know the difference because DS skills are only affected by power. Your skills in DS are going to do the same amount of damage if you have your staff on or if you have your dagger on when going into DS.
Wrong. Go to the heart of the mists, use life blast
1.with a normal weapon
2.without any weapon (or a steady weapon)
and then compare the damage.
The weapon strength does matter, when it comes to damage while in death shroud.
If you put jump puzzles in sPvP I would quit the game. I hate jump puzzles. Like seriously, I really really hate them.

While I certainly would not complain about gaining the ability to use two swords, what actually makes more sense for thieves is single-wielding a dagger or a sword.
