3 months ago they have discovered a “bug” that doesn’t allow players to receive reward chests after transferring from NA to EU or the other way around. Well I transferred from EU to NA like 3 weeks ago and forgot about this issue and started playing free/paids only to realize I’m not getting anything. And also if I queue for paid then I disband I don’t get my tickets back. I have wasted 20 tickets because my team was disbanding and queuing again and another 10 tickets because I joined paids.
I have more than 200 tourny wins from EU servers and now they are telling me I have to win more than 200 tournies to start receiving rewards?
This is unacceptable and a complete joke 3 freaking months and no fix?!?! Until they fix this issue I simply can’t play so thx for screwing me and all the people like me

Yes you will not get any chests until your US region wins match your EU wins

I think a heavy condition build can eventually kill a bunker but it will take a lot of time depending on the class and skill of the bunker. I play bunker engi and no one can beat me 1on1 except for a very good condition thief and necro but still it would take them ALOT of time.
I laughed when I read about a warrior not getting anything done without quickness, cause that isn’t true at all.
Quickness needs to go, it just makes skills that are otherwise not an issue a problem. Re-balancing without it around would be simpler and allow for some more interesting and useful skills.

Yes I do not get what you want. Are you saying you want toughness only to keep you alive against burst? That’s not gonna happen. And really if you want endurance use elixir R and put 30 in the last trait line to get 50% more endurance regen and use elixir S against HB.
Anet has designed the game like this and you need to play it as it is and not as other games did, here you need to use utilties and skills to stay alive because toughness isn’t enough while in other game it might be.
Well when you use shield, you get 90 extra toughness but with flamethrower you get 200 extra toughness… eventhough i wanna agree with what you say, holding a shield doesnt give you enough protection; thats why I decided to go with flamethrower build, when the melee is on me i swith on the flamethrower which is more efficient than a shield but i get bursted down in 2 second, that’s unaccaptable with the toughness numbers that i have on imo..
You do not roll a certain weapon or utility just for the stats, but because of the tools it gives you, with the flamethrower you only get air blast to keep warriors away but with shield you get a protection against projectiles and a knock back with #4 and a stun or daze with #5 so shield > flamethrower for a tank build and to tell you the truth the flamethrower sucks I know alot of people like it but it just suck in spvp and if you want you could try the tool kit! except for its auto attack which is kinda useless, it gives you cripple, bleed, confusion, 3 second block, and a 1200 range pull!
P.S. toughness isn’t that good so an extra 200 won’t do anything (you need like 500 to see a difference)
So i guess you get my point this time, i am saying that toughness should be more efficient because thats the only stat you get defence from so considering this game doesn’t have any dedicated healers or tanks, every class should be able to tank or heal efficiently when geared accordingly, thats all i am saying
Again like the guy above said that the game isn’t about passive defense so you need to use what you have to help your Engi survive, use med kit and bomb heal trait with bomb kit + use the trait that gives you regeneration when using a kit so this way you’ll have almost constant regeneration. And as I have said you could go to an empty server with a friend and test various builds and use whatever suits you!

I know all of those Same m8, i didnt ask for help here; i am open for discussions and i agree that engineer has all kinds of utilities to get away but i said that i am on a tank build with 2000 tougness, i like to be able to hold my ground a little on a fight so i guess you missed the point there but overall as i said before even if you are the best kiter you will get caught eventually during a fight if most of your utilities are on cd so the idea of the post is about (sorry to say this but) either making toughness more efficient or nerfing the burst damage of some classes..
Well you can;t be a bunker and still use rifle, you gotta use pistol+shield and a full bunker build (i could give you my build it is really good) but if you want toughness and still want to kill you’ll have to go with condition and confusion build other than that you’ll have to roll a glass cannon with rifle.
Although I have posted a similar thread to this wanting them to remove quickness from the game I have come to the conclusion (based on the feedback I got and experience) that it is important for some professions like the warrior (warriors are basically useless without it) so I would suggest an improvement to the downside of using it:
-When using quickness, you get all 3 consequences (no health or endurance regen, take 50% more damage and the 3rd one i forgot what it was) so people will think twice before popping it and use it more carefully.
Weird warriors and guardian can never kill me in 1 on 1 while on my engi you wanna know why? Because Engis are the best CCers in this game, you only need to keep them away using your arsenal:
-Skills #2 and 4 with tifle (when traited you get 20% less CD so you could always use them after 8-15 seconds)
-Battering ram (warrior got close and personal? just launch your hidden ram and then cripple with the toolbelt skill)
-using flamethrower? Air blast (then by this time you can use #2 and 4 on rifle again)
-elixir gun has acid bomb to get away then criple with #2
-rocket boots and slick shoes
-warrior knocked you down and is about to use frenzy +HB? easy, elixir S.
-want more dodges? you can trait to get 50% more endurance regeneration and use elixir R (refills endurance and breaks out of stun so you can basically do 4 dodges in a row!)
You can always go on an empty server in pvp with a friend and test counters to warriors and thieves and I encourage you to do it and test all of your skills and utilities.
Happened to me too, ended up getting in the last minute with one teammate only. Also, once I reached final stage to find only 1 player against us (all his teammates were unable to join)
Yes it’s definitely changed, the view is not the same as before (more zoomed in giving disadvantage when using treb), and the camera seems fixed when I move the treb left or right, it used to move before with treb.
Ok I just got stuck in legacy of foefire loading screen after finishing forest of niflhel in 8v8.
Since the new patch finally removed the team color we are getting a bit confused on which team we are and which point to cap, so a simple solution would be a small symbol shown beside your team score to indicate you’re on that team.
I want to hop in and say that while this bug is proving near impossible to reproduce on our machines, we hope our fixes going out today will finally take care of it.
Are you, by any chance, using only (mostly) nVidia graphic cards? This idea came to me few days back, when 3 of my guild mates got the loading stuck bug one by one 3-4 times in a single round(while they were topically getting it once-twice in a tournament run) and I havnt experienced it at all (since it got reintroduced last month). The difference between my mates’ PCs and mine, are that Im using a nVidia card (gtx460 with the latest beta 310.64 driver), while they all have AMD Radeons (HD6970, HD6870 and HD7850, everyone with the latest 12.11 driver).
Nope. I am using nvidia 310m on my laptop with the latest update ankittenep getting the loading bug.
Just wait for a huge patch that will fix everything and introduce a 100 new bugs.

Was just thinking some more… Since the fight took place at trebuchet and that thief was using it before, is it possible that he damaged few players with aoe treb projectiles and when someone of those died it rallied thief?
Would that be working as intended or bug?
Yes I think that was it, happened with me once and I rallied.
The only thing Fractals dungeon has ruined is the LA map chat, other than that, stop the QQ drama queen.

It’s not a cheat nor a bug. It’s just clever use of the mechanics provided to them. They aren’t hacking or exploiting to do it. They are just using the skills they have together to stay in stealth. Might not of been intentional from Anet, but they aren’t breaking any rules by doing it.
As such, if you keep reporting them for doing nothing wrong, it could lead to you being banned instead.
Clever use? Any noob can perma stealth with theif there is nothing clever about it. But yeah, it isn’t cheating =/

I’ve said it before and ill say now, quickness needs to be nerfed or removed altogether from the game because 100% increase in dps is just crazy they should make it like 50% increase in speed with a lot of risk and not 100% with little or no risk at all.
I think when spectator mode is live the “pro” players will have more motivation to play the game so other can spectate them and they can show off or something thus motivating the people watching them to train harder and so on and I think it would be a great addition to the sPvP

Yup threw it at level 5 when I started the game cuz the “5 defense” was useless
still its pretty awesome considering you can trait it with Inertial Converter which doesnt have internal cooldown…
and how do you use it on yourself? do you cast it just before you get down or do you still have toolbelt even in your down state?
I started using it heavily in the new FotM dungeon specially at bosses when sometimes 3 of my friends get downed at the same time when hit by a boss so tossing it at them revives them and I feel like a savior :p I like to play my Engi as a support character so with the new longer CD I feel less supportive to my team..
Ok I get why toss elixir R got a longer CD in PvP because it’s really good to revive allies and also self revive but I don’t get why it has also received the long CD in PvE as well? I mean I equip it in dungeons so I can help my party members and now specially in the new FotM dungeon it’s really good but the long CD hurts the Engineer so bad in PvE being a support character so why not return the CD to 85 sec in PvE only and leave it 120 in PvP?
Agree with your second suggestion, better looking kits and turrets as you level up or by equipping rarer weapons.

Incorrect. The tool kit is great. You just have to know how to use it. Such as plant BoB then use the tool kit to pull them to you. With my condition build, the pry bar chained with static shot and concussion bomb, allow me to keep confusion up 100% of the time, with a minimum of 2 stack up to 5, depending on which ability is up in the rotation
I was talking about PvE and not PvP, the toolkit is useless in PvE but anyway this thread is about the flamethrower which is also kind of useless in PvE and PvP if you ask me.
you also forgot to mention that #2 is easily counterable because of the slow animation, when I down an Engi I proceed to stomp them until I see them moving their hand and charging then I dodge and stomp them again, on the other hand it’s trickier to dodge for example warrior’s or guardian’s #2 because of fast cast.
and I think warriors have the best downed because of vengeance.

So I think they should make imporovement for the kit in PvE only like what they did with grenades when they nerfed damage in PvP only.In that case, the problem is you want to use the skill in the way its not ment to be used and actually expect it to be changed to suite you.
But why would they create a skill that isn’t viable in PvE? I don’t play WvW and I want to be able to play with everything I have in PvE, my suggestion would be a modification or change of how the tool kit works in PvE only.
I always come to forums and think that the game is dying, but then I go to the game and see the complete opposite. Here after reading the forums you think no one will get ascended and everyone will stop playing but then you log in game and watch LA map chat and guild chat (big guilds) flood (maybe exaggerating a bit with flooding) with ascended equip links. Forums is only about 10% of the people who play the game.
I agree, I think after level 8 for example there should be no checkpoints to increase the challenge.

I think one of the main reasons of empty maps is easy leveling, I mean that you can level up to level 40 without even entering level 40s maps and by the time you are 60 you also haven’t gone to almost all 60s and 50s maps, that’s why orr for example has alot of players because its highest map in the game (in terms of lvl) and everyone end up there , and starter areas are full of people, so when you go to a new map just for map completion you barely see anyone there, and when you see someone they aren’t “training” but they are all also discovering the map, maybe Anet should do something to make players go to their current level maps and do something there.
