Have you tried the Ascalon performer pants you can get from the dungeon? Those are the only “true pants” in the game, but they eliminate all the skirts and extra stuff that clips. Here’s a little preview I made with those pants, and the exalted top and boots. No clipping.
I love this idea so much. I’d be perfectly okay with them being gem store. But I love racially themed clothes, and would love a theme based on the story choices.
While getting them for free with your story choice would be nice, having them available for any character of the race regardless of story choice I think is better.
I agree with OP. There are no actual pants for light female humans. The closest thing there is are the ascalon pants, which I have my norn ele wearing, but it still has some kind of skirt type of thing. Anyway, it’s the only thing that feels remotely like wearing actual pants.
Mesmers in gw1 got pants, why no light pants in gw2?
I really like it. My favorite glider skin released so far. First one I’ve bought.
I understand wanting to get a name just perfect. I have used a surname with my Sylvari, but it is the name of a tree, and I prefer that to titles. Like Seana Birch, or Seana Willow. But if you like titles more, I have a couple of ideas for you.
Seana Of The Wylde Flame
Seana The Flamesinger or Firesinger
Seana Of Dawn
SeanaThe Dawnsinger
Seana The Dawnseeker
Seana The Skyfinder
Anyway, I don’t know if that helps at all. Good luck on finding your perfect name!
You also can get them from the black lion boxes you get for daily login rewards. I have over a stack of them, and have mystic salvage kits on all my characters and have thrown them in the forge with rares and exotics just to see what pops out.
Anyway, I don’t see the need, just don’t use the mystic kits on everything, just rares and exotics like pp said.
Thanks all for the replies. as for bank slots should he just buy the account bump thing that comes with 2 bank slots and other goodies or just buy 2 bank slots alone?
That really just depends if he wants the extra goodies or not.
I do indeed use my pinkies and don’t think I could do it without it. I very much play the bells like a piano keyboard, except easier because each note gets it’s own fingers. So 1234 for the left hand and 6789 for the right hand. It takes some practice to get used to it and remember which finger goes with which note, so that it becomes more muscle memory. The first year was hard, now I barely think about it and pretty much don’t end a game with a score less than 580. I do still make mistakes every now and then, and then there’s the occasional lag.
Anyway, attached is a picture as you requested of where you need to hit the button. I took a screen shot at the same moment I pressed the key for the note. You pretty much can’t do it before it hits the white line, then you have from the white line (where I marked with a pink line in the pic) until about when it reaches your feet, more or less. I usually try and hit it just as it reaches the white line, I sometimes hit it too soon though.
I also find it helpful to have the sound on and be listening to the tunes, especially the harder ones, it helps with the timing when you have a lot of fast notes in a row. I find doing upper or middle easier for being able to hear the melody and timing that way, however they do have more notes. Lower can be easier just because the notes don’t usually come quite as quickly.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
Hes may concern is, if he buys them now, that later date they well go on sale or rather he will find out he didn’t need them in the long run.
Well there’s always the risk any time you buy something that it will go on sale next week. The bank slots don’t go on sale very often though.
Personally I think it’s worth it to get a few extra bank slots. Bag slots not so much. I think he’ll find having a few extra bank tabs handy in the long run. You can easily get by with the default amount of bag slots.
Well I think it’s quite clear from the post above that they will never just do armor skins instead of outfits. I think the real problem is that ever since they decided to make armor skins in game rewards and not have any in the gem store, we’ve gotten loads and loads of outfits and very very few armors.
I have no problem with the concept of outfits vs armors, each fills a role and are good for different things. However it’s just sad the number of outfits they produce vs adding new armors. A lot of the reaction I’m seeing is that people now would prefer they add more armor skins to the gem store if that means we actually get some new ones since they aren’t adding them in any reasonable amount in game.
I know I’m not the only one who was expecting a lot more armors added with HoT.
I would appear that the recipes for embroidered insignia have been updated recently, so that instead of just requiring cloth and thread, you also have to have leather to make these patches. Probably to make leather more valuable, to be on par with cloth.
The guide has obviously not been updated with the new recipes.
So there are lots of people who won’t buy outfits because you can’t mix or match, it’s all or nothing, and now they are bundling the new outfits and gliders with a bunch of random stuff, so you can only get all or nothing. That makes sense.
I would be interested in getting new glider skins, but no way will I be buying a bunch of other stuff I don’t want to get it.
Couldn’t agree more. It’s the main reason I don’t use the action cam. That tiny dot is just too hard to see.
I haven’t found any official word either, but based on past years, I’d guess it will go away on Tuesday morning sometime with the usual patch.
Well I main a Sylvari and she will get the first go through the new content. So I will definitely be playing pro Sylvari.
Now that we have all the elite spec images, it’d be great to see the final compilation image. Great work on putting it together!

This interview makes it sound like all the crafted precursors will be account bound
I was super excited to see this dye gift! I love it! It really couldn’t have been a better gift for me.
I don’t do them very often. They tend to take me out of my way from what I really want to do. In the old system I could generally get most of the daily just by playing whatever content I wanted, now it’s so specific that it’s not worth my time unless I have nothing else I’m wanting to do.
I think I’ll have to get this just because it’s different for reach race, it’s like 5 outfits in one. It’ll be nice to have something new and leafy for my Sylvari.
I have to admit the human female one looks weird because of the way the dress flares out with nothing holding it up. It just looks really unnatural, fabric doesn’t float like that.

This is her old look. The order of whispers did a great job of showing off her shoulder tattoos, but I got tired of it after a while.
Here’s my Norn Ele. It took me a while to settle on her look as well, but I really like what I came up with.
Karma is the cheapest/fastest, but if you really want to go for drops, the sepatatist cave across the bridge from bloodfin lake waypoint has lots of separatists that drop bags frequently that contain linen and cotton. They also respawn fairly quickly, and there’s an event that pops up that spawns lots more separatists in groups. It’s decent for drop rates, but gets boring fast.
Good luck.
How was the hero points and shards calculated?
Is it just the shards we can spend?
My warrior had over 1.1k skill but now only 384 hero points?
My guard had 7 and now has 215 hero ponits?
I’m confused as by this update.
Every lvl 80 character got 398 hero points by default just for leveling up. Then any more than that come from the skill point challenges in the world. Any skill points earned any other way were converted to shards
Nobody at lvl 80 is loosing anything. Nor are you having to spend more points than you already had. Now everyone gets 398 hero points just for leveling to 80, more than you had before. And that’s enough to unlock all your skills.
Yes you have to click to unlock some of them, but you are losing nothing. The points you spent before you essentially got refunded, plus some extras.
You can get another few hundred hero points from doing the old skill point challenges, any you have done will count to your hero point total.
Any other skill points earned any other way should be converted into spirit shards at a 1:1 rate. You do have to log into all characters for the conversion to take place for all skill points.

So I’m super excited that my character will have a voice again. I hated only getting to speak in text. And I love that different races get different dialog options.
so levelling is really boring now. Skill 7 used to unlock at level 5 and now not until 13? That’s a big difference.
It was what, about a year ago they said they’d have precursor crafting in 2013. But it still hasn’t happened. They haven’t even so much as mentioned it since they said it wouldn’t make it in 2013 after all. Meanwhile precursor prices continue to climb at a ridiculous rate.
Don’t forget the mystic forge
That explains why I’ve seen so many key hunters doing the human story line today
All I know is the cost of precursors on the tp are steadily climbing. As much as 1500 gold these days. And I don’t trust rng to roll in my favor with the mystic forge.
agree 100%
something needs to be done about the aqua breaters, their current state is kind of ridiculous, why is a standard headpiece so rare and hard to get? you can’t craft it like you can other types of armor, you can’t buy it from dungeon vendors, it drops only very rarely or you can get some from very select karma vendors, want an exotic with your preferred stats? too bad.
Rather than adding all that would be needed to the game to have aqua breathers as plentiful as regular head gear, your solution is much easier and more elegant.
That is so sad. The original longer hair styles have a lot of fun animation. Why leave it out of the new hair styles? Well I won’t be getting the ponytail then.
Dulfy does pictures, I haven’t found any videos.
I love the ax, my warrior may need it.
I like the multicolored glow effect, but I’m not a big fan of the weird lines underneath. I just don’t like the kind of jagged decaying texture and shapes. I’m more of a fan of clean lines on my weapons.
Something that makes or breaks a hairstyle for me is how it moves in game. For some reason I just love to see the hair on my characters streaming behind them and side to side when running and strafing.
I was wondering if in game the new human ponytail style moves at all. It’s completely stiff in the preview, whereas other nonexclusive hairstyles move as you turn the head in the preview window. I like the new ponytail style, but if it doesn’t move, than it’s a no go.
No, you aren’t missing anything. Brisband Wildlands is it. After that it’s shared with everyone else. There’s a Sylvari corner of Kessex Hills. Bloodtide Coast and Sparkfly Fen are also very jungly and might be considered a little more Asura and Sylvari themed.
She can still have her city clothes, and now she can even fight in them, depending on what they were. Some were switched to tonics, which means you can’t fight, but regardless they cost nothing to use or to switch to. She probably just needs to take her character and pick up the redone town clothes from the black lion armorsmith.
Any chance that with the watch work robot you selected the last option instead of the first? That was my problem. I thought I wasn’t fighting, but apparently it’s the first option that makes it go to sleep.
Yeah I tried this achievement 3 times before getting frustrated and searching the internet to discover that the 3rd option on the robot is still a combat option. Who knew? Really frustrating to think you’ve solved the puzzle when you haven’t.
@Brother Grimm
The following blog post did in fact say that there would be a specific way to build precursors in 2013:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/looking-ahead-guild-wars-2-in-2013/
The exact quote under “Legendary Gear and Precursors”
“We aren’t quite ready to go into all the details here, but what I can say is you will see a specific way to build precursor items on your way to a legendary. On top of this, you’ll also see new legendary weapons and new types of legendary gear in 2013. Building your precursor will require a large amount of the new crafting material rewards listed above, 500 in crafting, and likely a combination of other items earned for completing more specific content in the game.”
This obviously hasn’t happened yet, and in another forum post Anet stated that it wasn’t likely to happen this year after all. The second part of that section however has happened, as was necessary with the release of ascended weapons:
“In addition, we’ll also improve the functionality of legendaries, allowing you to set their stats when out of combat to any stat combo available, so you don’t need to transmute stat changes for legendaries. Legendary gear will remain with the same tier of stats as ascended gear and will not be made more powerful than other gear, it will simply be slightly more convenient since it will no longer need transmutations to change stats.”
Only one, if that, and I’ll take my sweet time getting there. I’ve managed one ascended weapon thus far, the armor I expect to take a very long time, I may not ever get around to it.
It’s still technically one action per button, the button is just a lot easier to “click” since you scroll it instead. Sorry I haven’t done it though so I can’t actually help you do it.
I like it, and would so love class restricted skins, not sure that will ever happen though, it would be a lot of work to make the new armor work for each class, race and gender (8×5×2) But I sure would love it!
I want pants for light armored females, something akin to the mesmer rogue armors in g1

I prefer the top picture. But I was really not into the super bright glow that came with the change in Oct. I prefer the more subtle shading. My example:
It’s because it’s dyed a dark color. She made it so brighter colors would glow brighter and darker colors would glow less, as a compromise for those who want bright glow can use bright colors and those who don’t want glow or subtle glow can use darker colors.
