I looks like a slight reskin of the acolyte armor you can get from crafting.

Unfortunately there is no way to get your town clothes back. You can’t even buy the orignals, once deleted they are gone forever. There is however a selection of town clothes in the gem store if you really want something. It’s not really worth it though, there is no need to ever be in your town clothes anyway.
The ambient noises, especially in Lonar’s Pass. It really sounds like a mountain forest, with the bird calls etc, I could listen all day.
Changing the spelling a bit or adding a surname. Really at this point your best bet is to just come up with a two word name that you like, it doesn’t even have to feel like a surname, for example: Wall Flower. Titles work as well, for example you could name a thief Lanara The Illusive. Or for an Ele, Lanara Flameheart. Anyway, hope that helps get the creative juices flowing. Best of luck.

You may find this site helpful. It has nice images of all the armors in game and where/how you get them and at what level.

I’ve only ever had 1, and I’ve been playing almost daily since launch
1) level does not matter at all as you get a new health bar, skills, items etc. It’s doesn’t even matter what class you are. Go with a toon that is easy for you to jump with.
2) a group makes it more fun, but it’s definitely soloable. They even have an easy mode version if jumping puzzles drive you insane. Also there are lots of people in Rata Sum looking for groups, so finding someone to go in with shouldn’t be a problem.
Good luck and have fun. You should definitely check it out.
I chose mesmer more or less at random in gw1, and eventually fell in love with it, once I learned to play it. Skip a few years, gw2 of course I had to try the mesmer first, did it in betas, loved it. I tried out other classes so I could get a sense of them, but mesmer was still my favorite. Now I’ve got her up to 80 and and ele up to 80 but mesmer is still by far my favorite. So that’s how I found my main.
Yeah I’ve been doing it too. It’s been a fun excuse to go try all the jp I haven’t done yet. Actually been having a blast doing it, and I can’t wait to try out the super adventure box.
Yep, that is the same skin as the AC dungeon weapons, which have a different look at night. So it must have been night in the mists but not in the Spirit watch map.
I just have to jump in and add my guilds nonsensical way of saying it:
Ori-LAK-rium yeah we just moved all the sounds around.
I just want to point out that if you are already strafing left or right when you press the dodge button you will dodge to the left or right (or forward if you are simply going forward at the time) so it’s possible to dodge to the side using V.
Any US servers have Dwayna open? It seems Yak’s Bend is bugged as well.
I swear it used to, but lately my stunbreakers haven’t been breaking immobilize. I feel like this is a very recent change . . . Why? It makes no sense. Of all the things a stunbreaker should break.
I really hope this nerf to shatters doesn’t completely ruin my shatter focused build. I currently never use a scepter and rarely the greatsword. I’m very very shatter focused, and have been for a while. I feel like if shatters are nerfed much I’ll have to completely learn an entire new play style which would make me very sad as I have a ton of fun with what I’m doing now.
To craft you essentially have to level up weaponsmithing to 400, then you can craft exotics. A crafting guide: http://www.guildwars2-crafting.com/crafting-guides/weaponsmith/
To buy from the trading post, press “O” or click the lion head at the top of your screen. Then click on the scale on the left side of the pop up labled “trading post” Then click “show filters” and put the level range 80-80 and and set rarity to “exotic” the type Cleric’s hammer in the search bar, you’ll find what you need.
I see you edited your post giving the stats you want while I was writing my response.
Well I checked the trading post for you and you can get 2 different skinned hammers for about 2.5 gold that have power, toughness and healing power. What you want is either “clerics pearl crusher” or the “Briney Deep”
There aren’t any exotic weapons for Karma, so dungeon tokens aside there are a few other ways to get exotic weapons.
Easiest and quickest way: Buy one from the trading post. It will have all the dropped exotics and all the crafted ones. Just filter for level 80, exotic and hammer and you’ll see pretty much all that is available. You should be able to get a decent hammer for around 3 gold or so, if you go for a specific skin or a more rare stat combo, it will definitely cost you more.
You could wait to get a random drop from a chest etc, that will take a while. You could craft one with weaponsmithing or using specific mystic forge recipes, these can all can be bought straight off the tp for gold though if you’d rather just spend the gold up front and not waste any time.
If you like the stats of the dungeon weapons and it’s only the skins you don’t like and have plenty of tokens and karma, but not a lot of gold , what you could do is get a dungeon hammer, and then find a cultural weapon skin you like (you can use any race’s cultural weapon, unlike armor) and then spend karma on the skin and transmute it onto the exotic dungeon hammer.
Hope that helps.
I know for me kiting the mobs away from H is best. Like others of said it’s very easy to pull mobs off of him as it just takes one hit for them to agro to you. As a mesmer I find it best to stand in front of the table (near the front burrow) and throw clones around to keep the mobs distracted and use my staff to pull anything that agros to H to me on the other side of the table. I keep my utilities full of stunbreakers/clone creators and I move constantly which keeps me alive and helps keep all the agro off of H.
So in short, don’t anyone get too close to H and use ranged to pull off any stray gravelings.
There is no ascended gear that you can only get from guild missions, you can get earrings, rings and amulets from laurels and ectos. The ascended back pieces are still fractals only. There are some certain of the newer stat combinations that can’t be infused yet, though they can still have an infusion added in the infusion slot. I assume that is a bug and will be fixed at some point.
One thing I’ve noticed with various cloth armors and dying them is that despite being all cloth, certain parts will simply always dye lighter and other darker and other more vibrant. What that means is that some armor sets make certain dyes just look terrible while the same dye looks really great on another set. Or even certain parts of the same set.
For example the hall of monuments female light armor. The outside of the skirt will always dye to nice rich colors, and look very nice, but the inside for some reason is supposed to be light I guess, but it really washes out all colors and applying something like midnight fire or midnight fushia just gives a very light washed out version of the color, so you simply can’t have a nice dark color for that part of the skirt no matter how much you want it.
Anyway, I’m sorry that some of your Orrian set is acting the same way. Abyss might even turn out to look grey if that particular part of the armor is just set to being dyed light.
Adding a picture to show what I mean. Notice that the outside of the skirt and the leggins/boots are dyed midnight fire, and the inside of the skirt is Abyss, and it doesn’t look at all black. So before you go buy abyss dye, definitely preview it on your armor to make sure it looks black and not gray.

Really I think it’s the male version that got kitten here. Yet another long coat as if every other set didn’t already have a long coat. I want male leather chest piece that stops at the waste please! My Charr engi’s legs need to be seen, they are strong and powerful, why must they be shrouded in ugly bulk!
Well to get any thing in gw2 you will have to buy the Eye of the North expansion and get to the hall of monuments in gw1. You can definitely get quite a few points and rewards with just prophecies (the first campaign) and Eye of the North, but you’ll be hard pressed to get up to 30. Keep in mind the rewards are all essentially just skins, so it’s only worth getting them if you happen to really, really like the skins offered.
Hope that helps.
Sadly the statement that all the NPC armor is available to players is just plain false. I too would like that chest piece for a leather wearing charr as I personally think all of the long coats look absolutely ridiculous on a charr with the way they stand and how the coat wraps around their back legs and clips with their tails.
I can’t give you a name of a color if that’s what you’re asking. I can tell you that if you are on the blue team you will be shades of blue, on the red team, shades of red, on the green team (wvw) shades of green. Sorry if that was completely useless, but I have no idea how to tell the exact shades that the team colors are.

- stats:)
That is awesome! Thanks so much for that. A very impressive gallery!
Can anyone tell me how one starts this event to take the Cathedral of Zephyrs and thereby unlock the karma vendor (temple of Dwayna)?
(edited by SuLor.2840)
FYI, there is a series of check boxes you can select at the top of your crafting page and you can select the level of quality to show only what you can make of that type. So simply select masterwork and deselect all others to see what is available for you to craft that counts toward the monthly.
There weren’t actually any new hairstyles, just new colors. You can only get these new colors by using the gem store hair style kit. So no new free colors, and no new hair styles. Hope that helps.
Once you hit 80 you can get some decent exotic gear from the temples in Orr for Karma, since you said you have lots of Karma. If you’re having trouble getting there with your gear being so underleveled, you can get lvl 80 (or really any level)masterwork items for pretty cheap on the tp and those can hold you over pretty well until you can get exotic.
You could also get exotics by running dungeons. (I would recommend getting at least masterwork up to your level of gear before doing so) Hop onto gw2lfg.com and find a group to run dungeons with. That will also help you with your being poor problem. Hope that helps. Best of luck.
Thanks! Honestly it’s probably nice for most of the races if they wanted some of these less natural colors, but for Sylvari, you can already have blue, purple, green and pink hair, and these shades don’t seem to be much of an improvement.
Mine is very similar to aznricepuff.
Weapons 1-5
Q heal, E elite
CVB for 789
shift for dodge X for weapon swap
I use A and D to strafe and have no need of turning keys as I just use my rbm for that. If you are used to using Q, and E for strafing, perhaps you can use A and D for skills instead.
Misconception – no gems appear in the in-game economy purchased for gold, they are all initially purchased for real money.
Please keep that in mind.Given how likely the people spending gold on gems is greater then the people spending money on gems, I find that extremely hard to believe.
And even if it were true, it does not change the fact that a majority of gem-store sales can be attributed purely players using in-game-earned gold to buy the gems rather then buying gems with real money.
So a rising demand for gems does not increase Arena Net’s profits by very much.
You have to understand, Arenanet is not selling gems for gold. Only other players are selling gems for gold. Where do these players get the gems to sell for gold? they buy them with real money. So every gem that is bought is bought with real money.
Basically there are some players who can play the game a lot, run a lot of dungeons etc, will spend gold to get gems and buy stuff from the gem store. Then there are players who are impatient or simply don’t have much time to play, so they essentially buy gold, they buy gems with the express purpose of then converting it into gold and those are the gems everyone else can buy with their gold. If there were no one buying gems and selling them for gold, there would not be any gems for anyone to buy with gold.
I really don’t understand why they don’t have something like this already. In gw1 you could save an unlimited amount of builds and load them up any time out of combat with just a couple of quick clicks. The simple ability of saving of just 2 builds and being able to switch between them really ought to be an included feature.
Since I always run dungeons and fractals with my small group of irl friends, and we all just picked our favorite class to level up for fun, our composition is:
2 Eles
Guardian
Necro
Mes
We’ve figured out how to work together and haven’t hit anything we can’t beat yet (though the dredge fractal came very close) We have fun together, and haven’t felt the need to dictate how anyone plays.
AC stands for Ascalonian Catacombs. It’s the first dungeon for lvl 30’s. After that, there’s a new dungeon every 10 lvls, not counting explorable paths. Best of luck to you.
Personally I love playing melee, prefer it on every class. Sure there are always a few situations where ranged is better, but I find the vast majority of content is way more fun in melee range. And the fact the the favorite dungeon teams are made up of melee warriors and guardians make me think that melee isn’t all that bad.
I assume you are talking about the armor skins you can buy and apply to armor you already own. The way they work is after you buy them, you double click and you get a window similar to a trasmutation stone window and you can put the armor piece of the similar type (light, chest for example) and apply the skin. After you do that, if you get new armor with better stats and you want to keep the skin, you’ll have to use a transmutation stone to carry it over. You only get to use the skin once, so only one set of armor will have that look at a time. If you were to sell, or salvage or destroy the armor that had the skin, it would be lost for good and the only way to obtain it again would be to buy it again.
If you are asking if the dropped exotics are equal to the dungeon and karma versions, the answer is yes. All exotics of the same level will have the same base stats (defense on armor, damage on weapons) the bonus stats (e.g. power vitality toughness) will differ depending on the prefix of course. If you are looking for a specific type of stat combination you may not be able to get it from drops. There are some types of stats that you get by crafting and some you get from dungeons or karma and some you get from drops. There is some overlap but there are some places you can’t get certain stats. For example you can get power/vit/toughness from dungeons or karma, but you can’t craft it.
Good luck, I hope you can get what you’re looking for. It will take you a while, exotics drop very rarely.
Since I’m collecting Badges of Honor at present, my "daily " is to run the boarderlands jp with my characters. Then I’ll generally run and get the actual daily with whatever alt I feel like playing that day. Other than that I will generally play with my friends, either do a little personal story or a dungeon or fractals. Occasionally we’ll run around WvW and help out with whatever is going on there.
Just as an FYI, the armor you buy from an armor vendor is the most basic white quality of armor and not really worth buying, and all has the same starter skin. There are various skins you can get for karma from completed heart vendors in various areas. There are also a couple of different skins that drop and the crafted armors have a new skin for every 15 levels starting at level 10. You can get both crafted and the random dropped armor skins on the trading post, which is where you want to buy armor if you haven’t gotten any good drops lately.
Attached are the pics of the crafted and karma armor. I didn’t put these together.

For server recommendations, check out this post from just a few days ago. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/New-Player-6
A fun moment for me was when I was doing the jumping puzzle in Mount Malestrom, the one where you have to kill the keeper of winds to get in, and I had just gotten the very last element and was trying to take a shortcut down and I fell to my death. I was despairing about having to wp and kill the keeper of winds again when I was in view of my final chest. Just then a friendly soul raised me and I offered my thanks. She accepted and added jokingly that I should do the same for her. We partied up and I spotted her as she made her way up and did indeed fall to her death as well. I was happy I got to repay the favor and get her back on her feet. Then she got the chest, we thanked each other and parted ways. But it was all the same a fun spontaneous moment of friendship.
As someone who has done the borderlands jp on a daily basis for the past month with a variety of characters I can tell you that the borderlands jp does not scale with level and you always get 3-6.
The eternal battlegrounds I’ve only done once with a lvl 80 so I can’t comment on level scaling for that one. (I think I got around 13 for that one)
I’m on Yak’s Bend and it’s a really good server. I’m in the starter areas quite a bit and people are always calling out the group events and there are always plenty of people to do them. We’re right in the middle of the wvw rankings which means we have a good time, we lose some we win some and there aren’t queues very often and when there are they are usually pretty short. I’ve generally found people to be friendly and helpful and have had lots of fun teaming up with random people to do things whether it’s a rez on a jumping puzzle or letting you know an event is about to pop or just running through the area together.
Please, we need some actual shirts with NOTHING hanging down below the waste, especially for the Charr, because while the long coats do get old on humans or norns, they are absolutely ridiculous on a Charr! Not to mention the awful tail clipping.
So as far as stats go, all the sPVP gear is the same, in that you can’t get any higher. They put all the stats that are spread out between armor, weapons and jewelry into just the amulets for pvp to simplify it a little. The pvp crafted gear is just for looks. The idea is, each tier you go up, you can get different skins as a way of showing at a glance what tier you are in, so you know if someone is wearing a particular set they’ve had to have played pvp so much to get it.
So essentially the answer is, no you can’t progress your stats, only your skill.
Well it turns out while I was using on level greens and one party member was wearing on level rares, some of the others had some gear as much as 20 levels lower than their current level. So I think it was in part, characters we had all played a lot less and were less effective, and a gear problem. We did it no problem with our mains today, lvl 80 with exotics. So there were definitely problems with the yesterday’s run and a gear check would probably actually have helped this situation.
