Issue self-resolved after a few hours.
Whenever I try to enter Tixx’s Infinirarium, I get an error box:
“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, please visit http://support.guildwars2.com. (Code=19:9:18:1614:101)”
This makes no sense. I’m logged in, I can play. I’ve tried logging out and back in, etc.
Why do you require 80 content for fun? What magical switch gets flipped that matters to you?
Don’t like jump puzzles, don’t do them.
Not sure if I understand but are they required?
Nope. Just another “Guys! Stop having fun!” post.
I want my armor to look like it does the job. Armor is not supposed to make you look sexy, it’s supposed to keep you safe.
I think they mean “it keeps our prices down” – meaning the prices to buy from spammers.
Report them. With a vengeance.
“I used to be an adventurer like you. Until I took an arrow….”
Whoops. Wrong game!
hmm…
“Pain for pain!”
(edited by draeath.8536)
Nope, no way to change it without modding and hence breaking rules and risking ban action.
Hmm, you use a gun and don’t like the noise? It’s a gun!
The Norn voice acting in story cinematic is terrible. Sounds like people trying to speak with a lower tone than they can pull off.
Hint: don’t do that. Record normally, then use a VST that can do a formant shift to deepen the voice.
TRAIT. You said “taint” like 5 times :P
Known problem. They are trying to figure out what is causing it.
You need to go where you pre-ordered and pick up the physical copy, and apply the contained S/N. Warnings about this have been on the ANet websites for DAYS.
Edit your post and remove those mail addresses. You are just asking for spam by putting them out there like that.
Is your block list full? Make sure he’s actually been added to the list.
They don’t save CVV2 codes. You don’t NEED CVV2 codes to process.
Ok, Enough is Enough, you need a Phone Support Number

The problem with phone support is you get people on the phone with stupid problems, demanding (and getting, because they are on the phone) priority.
Could be that it stops working properly if it finds something weird.
Try removing anything unusual (never heard of wpl myself…)
Keep in mind!
If you have high toughness but lower HP, an incoming heal will be more effective.
Is WPL supported at all?
You don’t.
This forum does not support the [ img ] tag.
The only way we get images to display is by actually attaching them as files – and that’s only a thumbnail.
This is not a suggestions forum.
Does anyone experience lag+increased map loading times?

Is it perhaps the datfile getting fragmented?
You’re wandering away from their patrol/sentry location during the fight. Stop doing that. It does it with land mobs, too – it’s just easier to do so without realizing it underwater.
Spamming covers it more accurately, if you want to be pedantic
Link for those of us who are confused?
The empty period between pieces playing. Put it to short and you’ll have less time between pieces, put it to long and you’ll have periods of no music between.
EDIT: I believe. I’m not 100% though.
… and make random duel challenges a reportable offense.
You want to duel me, you ask - not just throw down the glove at me.
This is the topic. See my screenshots for what it looks like. First one shows thread contents, second one shows forum index – showing post count etc.
EDIT: second screenshot seem difficult to pick out, here’s the direct link:

Pretty much.
Look, it’s really simple. If you don’t want punitive action, DO NOT BREAK THE RULES.
If you can talk like an adult, you can act like one. “It’s only a crime if you don’t get caught” is false and immature. Breaking rules in private company is still rule-breaking.
When you signed up, you accepted a contract with ArenaNet in a form: They provide you access to the game, and you follow the terms and conditions in the AUP/TOS. If you violate said “contract” by violating these terms and conditions, then don’t be surprised when ArenaNet terminates their end of the contract in turn, by booting you from the service.
There it is for you – a nice cold shower of reality.

because router is reconnecting time to time and my internet provider will change it.
There is your problem and who you need to talk to to fix it.
You need to do this, first. If they can’t fix this in a timely manner, go here and create a ticket asking to have IP verification turned off.
Note it won’t be a priority, which is why I say talk to your ISP first. Besides, this shouldn’t be happening. Something is wrong, and the sooner you get them to fix it the better.
Your character might be fighting but you’re not :P
You are busy moving to and looting. It’s a distraction.
That said, I do agree that it should be a different key function.
CPU Usage problem (its NOT about hardware at all...)

True enough, but bottlenecking won’t damage the computer. The OP above is complaining because the high utilization all night melted his computer.
We’re talking about things breaking, and not about things being optimal
You are allowed to store account numbers and track data. The caveat is you have to do so securely. It’s not terribly hard to do.
The CVV2 is needed for the initial transaction only.
If you’re stopping to loot you are not fighting.
Wait for battle to end.
Unfortunately, we’re still having problems identifying the root cause of this issue. If there are exact steps you can take to reproduce this bug, please let us know!
On that note, please be sure to keep this thread on topic and only with information related to the “siren” sound bug. If you have other audio bugs to report, please create a separate thread. Thanks, everyone!
WvW fights involving at least 10 people on each side. Generally doesn’t happen unless my FPS drops and stays below 15. Haven’t had it happen to me without the low FPS. Once it’s triggered, FPS no longer matters.
My advice? Grab a laptop or get a second monitor.
Like Pandemoniac says, you are all forgetting that your time is valuable. Both selling and buying.
Where your threshold lies is up to you, however.
Here’s an example of what FOV is before this discussion gets out of hand. Please see this animated picture before replying.

Please note the player is standing in the same spot in each screenshot. He didn’t walk backwards.
90 is about normal for humans playing PC games.
Right now in game it feels like 60 something.
That was true in the Quake 3 days. It’s usually between 85 and 70 these days, because of widescreen monitors.
I like the thought.
At that point, people will do 4 things:
1. Beg
2. Try to crawl away or escape
3. Give up
4. Fight with every shred of life left in them
We are supposed to be heroic characters – hence our falling to #4 above. Leave 1 through 3 for the mobs and other NPCs.
Getting error 7:11:3:189:101. Attached is the the diagnostic log.
I see some problems on the traceroutes. There are hops with 100% packet loss.
That’s not a problem. It only means those hosts’ firewalls are blocking ICMP.
Ah yes that makes sense as I see the subsequent hop. OK. Must be something else then.
Hey, it wasn’t a bad thought. I’ve called out experienced NOC techs for the same error
Thank you for serving. I’d have done so myself if an ear implant wouldn’t have prevented it. Plenty of family members and friends have, though, so let them stand in my place.
Hopefully you get a response soon.
Meanwhile, get your machine checked for trojans/rootkits etc. Once you know it is clean, I recommend you make passwords unique between sites/applications. Programs like Keepass (I use this both in a personal and professional environment) make this practical.
Do note though if your computer itself is compromised, it’s already game-over and they’ll just steal the password safe once you enter your passphrase (and/or keyfiles) to unlock it.
Huh…
I wonder if they direct Canadian visitors to EU, because of the whole French thing? Perhaps forgetting that Canada happens to be on the other side of the ocean
Thanks. The presets allow you to get close to the look you want, the sliders allow you to mold that face fairly precisely. I was pretty methodical about it, with the eye size, slant, pupil size, nose bridge and width, mouth width and fullness, chin and cheeks. I literally spent 45 minutes in character creation making her just the way I wanted her to look.
I actually could have rolled with the one preset with the double creased line that runs across the nose and all the way down the face, I could have made that look sharp too. =)
Though I think the blues clash with the leather/earthy dyes on the armor – try giving it some blue on the accents? I think “Teal Jeans” (one of the ones you start with) would fit.
I was actually going to try that, I’ve gotten a ton of dyes that I haven’t messed with yet. I’m having a hard time moving off hte brown, it gives my character a ‘rangery’ feel, I also could have gone with brown and green like Robin Hood.
You sound just like me! I do the same thing. My friends think it’s silly, but then they are always impressed with the results.
I know what you mean about the rangery look. You saw my own screenshots above, right? Though, even when I do use colors I still try to keep straps/belts etc leather toned. I usually only put flashy colors on the trim.
Well, then obviously it’s not your thing – you admit it yourself.
Myself and my own squad certainly are not going to let some weenie repair tax stop us.
Nisshoku has a point, too.

Sounds like Arena Net is going to have PCI Compliance issues. They regulate the credit card industry and the way that information is stored if at all. Fines start in the ten thousand dollar range if i remember correctly.
No, they won’t. Scroll up and read some of my post.
@Ituhata That actually looks nice. I’m impressed.
Agreed, a good job done.

Oh. Well. Sorry
But yes, you were on the money.
For the record: MasterCard has (recently – last few months) mandated that CVV2 codes be provided for card-not-present transactions. Merchants can still go without doing it, at the cost of downgrades – but if they keep doing it they are starting to get some nasty calls from their Merchant Services folks. I believe Visa has jumped on this boat as well. Discover too, but I’m less sure about them.
It’s always struck me as rather odd, that in games where you are capable of crafting some of the finest armor out there, you’re completely incapable of then repairing what you have made.
Tailors, Leatherworkers or Armorsmiths should really be able to do repairs on what they can make, although it should take some mats to do it.
As well, it should require a crafting station.
Even the most talented leatherworkers or armorsmiths need tools to do such work.
