Just as with getting kicked at the end of a run I’d report this. This behavior is just as toxic as the first.

Unless you exploited (not framing, just saying) in which case I’d refrain from reporting since you might not want to draw attention.

I did say “legitimately” in my post. We started duoing together for the challenge and fun. And we did report both groups that have done this – really nice that player info stays in chat after a kick now. One didn’t succeed in their attempt since they didn’t execute their plan very well (don’t want to state what they did wrong to give anyone else ideas) but last night was so odd. They merged with us and proceeded to bully and threaten to kick us if we didn’t allow for them to port over and fight the boss, for free. They staged it as a stick-up basically, which was hilarious because the money isn’t that important. They kicked my partner and told me I better play nice if I don’t want the same! I lol’d and left. It would be nice if they suffered some consequences but I heard it’s unlikely. It’s a risk to post but now we know what to do to prevent it in the future.

OP says he wants the other four players to carry him while he watches the “only 30 second” cutscenes. Only 30 seconds, sound ok, right? But wait, how many cutscenes are there per path? How long does it take to run an entire path? We’re actually talking about a significant proportion of time here.

All due respect, that seems like a pretty harsh view to take on someone wanting to watch the story cut scenes in a story mode dungeon. If you were specifically doing speed runs of explorable paths, then yes someone holding up a run to watch cut scenes unannounced is an “offense” but this isn’t a big deal.

As for the OP, getting kicked for something so silly sucks but the best lesson to learn here is always take a moment to share your intentions/status with the party if you haven’t already said so in your LFG post. People are less likely to get annoyed if they know you are new and/or plan to watch cut scenes, and the ones that have a bug up their butt about it can leave before the run starts.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this… but since the March 16th patch, every time I enter combat I hear music usually reserved for the Shadow Behemoth fight. Sometimes it stays permanently, sometimes it subsides.

Tried a repair of the client but the issue came back after a few minutes. Not sure if this change was intended or not…

If the daily is to do any fractal level, i think that’s when you get the daily reward after just the first part. If it’s a 10-19 daily for example, you need to finish the entire thing to get the daily reward. That’s been my experience.

I just came back to the game myself after about a year off. I’m enjoying it.

I am returning to GW2 after being away for around 6 months. I was a semi-hardcore player of this game for over a year before I left due to boredom. I enjoyed running dungeons and Fractals of the Mist back then. Reinstalling the game now and I’m terrified to find out how much I have to make up for (haha). I’m planning to get well back into this game, and I’m looking for an active, friendly, knowledgeable PvE guild to help me get back up to speed and then play end game content with. world completion is a time consuming one, good to get out of the way for sure. i saved the money for my precursor (don’t even bother with the toilet) and bought it when i was about 80% done the rest of the mats. make sure you put in a buy order instead of filling a sell order to save some gold. like others have said, mystic clovers are a good place to start once you finish map completion. along with the clover recipe, i bought some t6 mats with laurels.

I have a few nice items that make me look a lot richer than I really am haha, namely my Sunrise and Scythe. I tried flipping on the TP for a few days before I got tired of it. Otherwise I just do some farming, run dungeons and save gold, then blow it all, rinse, repeat. I’m currently almost broke because I couldn’t wait and got everything I needed for Volcanus last night… only to realize I need more cof tokens and it’ll be a couple more days. oh come on!

I’m usually doing one of the dungeons below and am happy to help someone learn rather than pick up a random pug.

Definitely path 3. Don’t get discouraged if your pug has trouble with the first boss(es). They are easy once you get the hang of it.

I would be pulling the skin off my face if I had that many characters not at 80 yet. I say level your guardian

it would be awesome if legendaries became accountbound on equip rather than soulbound on equip so we could transfer them between characters. they are such a huge undertaking to create, i don’t think it would be too much to ask?

Spellwork, tell us what you would find fun, and we can tell you if it’s possible in GW2. This game simply isn’t for everyone. Dungeons haven’t changed much since you were last in game, most people run past encounters if it’s possible. If you decide to come back and run dungeons, make LFG posts specifying you don’t want to skip.

I think the most important thing to enjoy this game is to find a guild that is right for you. The rest is more fun after that.

the rocks BuD is speaking of look different than the ones that fall, they are slightly larger and rounded. once you start looking for them you will see the path you’ll need to jump across.

I did it the other way around and crafted two vision crystals. I just checked the chest and it said vision crystal and since i didnt remember seeing a lesser version when crafting weapons or when i leveled armorsmith i falsely assumed every piece needed a Vision crystal.

I did the exact same thing, crafted 2 vision crystals by accident. I have basically committed myself to ascending one of my alts because of it, hah. :/

In my experience, CoE is best. Run each path once per day. Seems like every chest has a chance to drop charged cores. This is atypical but this past weekend I got really lucky and got 4 cores in just one path. Also like others have said you can use the gold reward to buy more cores/lodes.

I am currently leveling an alt but as a courtesy to the group, I use an 80 in the dungeon and switch at the last second while someone holds the cut scene for me in order to give my alt the experience. Yes, dungeons can be completed with characters at a low level but it makes things a lot less painful if you use a higher level character.

I like the change they made to legendaries. I think it’s great that we can change their stats. They take a lot of effort and gold to craft so it makes sense. It’s actually giving me an urge to craft another legendary.

He’s wearing human t3 cultural boots, they match the gloves now.

I don’t get it, I think your character looks fine. I’m a fan of the SE legs, though. The only thing that stuck out to me was the gloves, I would personally change to slightly larger gloves?

Nothing at the moment other than to write names down or take a screenshot. Seems like a simple fix to let you keep party chat after you leave or are removed from a group, it’s something a lot of people have asked for.

If I showed up to the bank and saw Rytlock Brimstone mumbling to himself while going through his collections, that would be awesome

I think the biggest issue was clawing our levels back for the leaderboard, then pulling the leaderboard. I haven’t played fractals in a while because I don’t have the time, but I wasn’t having any trouble filling parties 2 weeks ago. Granted these groups were for 30-40, can’t speak for 41-50 since I haven’t had the time to get that far yet.

Wouldnt that be a moderator decision and not a player? I didnt suggest anything so I would lean towards no. I stated the wants of what I feel is a majority of players who do dungeons by the responses I have read over the past week or so. I didnt suggest they add it, I just said this is what people want.

Glad to hear your response though, I respect some people do want more dungeons but I have a feeling it would be a big dissapointment as the other revamps/additions have been met with negative feedback, so this is a new chance for Anet rather than just have people be happy for 1 day and then hate the new content/additions.

I read your post as a suggestion since it was an idea for new content. Also since people don’t believe devs read this subforum anymore, I was thinking it might get noticed in suggestions. :P

I personally didn’t have an issue with the changes they made to AC, though I haven’t tried the new TA path. I’d like to see more level 80 dungeons more challenging than what we already have.

Can’t agree with the OP since I support making the reward level accountbound, even though I only run it with one character.

If I recall correctly, everyone needs to finish or skip the cutscene before they can get the end reward in dungeons (token and gold). So if your party leader left before you finished the cutscene, he probably didn’t get the reward either. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Just to be safe though, since everyone typically skips cutscenes, let your team know you want to watch it so they are aware.

It’s a shame the HDE track is limited. It’s not at all the same as agent of entropy, there is some effort involved here.

I would love a cast bar since I have a hard time seeing some tells with all the particle effects, even if I turn them down with the option we have.

I prefer Retreat over HTL. I always have it in my utility bar. In my opinion it typically will soak up more damage party-wide in dungeons or fractals than a few seconds of protection.

I soulbound and wore my capacitor back throughout each step of the upgrade process until I got my shiny and had no problems with the mystic turlet.

Guild Wars 2 isn’t for everyone, might not be for you, especially if you’d rather play in a holy trinity system. Have you tried pvp?

Great ideas, Gralo. Couldn’t agree more with all of them. Hard to even add to it. A new all underwater zone would be great if they implemented some of your suggestions. I would add another underwater breather skin though – a fishbowl like on Spongebob

this thread is making me nostalgic. they’ve already been mentioned but signet of capture and echo would be sweet. also hexes in general.

if you are into the thought of flipping on the TP, by all means that is the best way. If you’re like me and get bored with it, dungeons are a good source of income. I haven’t had great luck with champ trains personally, so at least the gold reward you get from dungeons is guaranteed.

I totally agree about most bosses not giving enough ore to be worth it. The low level events should give a minimum of 10-15 rather than up to 5 or whatever it is. I usually do the temple events, myself.

These days, for me it’s more about the friends I’ve made than the actual game that keeps me playing. I’m not really interested in the living story but if you are into that sort of thing, that’s one other reason… If you like a challenge, try to see how far you can get in fractals… For other people, wvw is endgame.

don’t spend it if you don’t need to, jfraser. you never know what you’ll need it for one day, especially since you don’t get it as fast anymore. They will be releasing new legendaries eventually. Jewelry boxes aren’t worth it in my opinion unless you want a stack of mini risen priests of balthazar you can’t do anything with.

There is some constructive criticism and friendly feedback as I said above, then there are some people who aren’t very constructive about it and are rather insulting. That’s what I was talking about. I think it certainly goes both ways.

When I read about the moderating changes etc. today I thought about this subforum. I honestly feel like it’s not a welcoming place for most players. Conversations can quickly become hostile here. Threads are created to mock players. While many give constructive feedback, I think others calling people terribads and telling people to learn to play isn’t very helpful.

But then again, I’m a sappy person so I may be blowing it out of proportion, hah.

I’m yelling at it ‘cause my server is inactive during the day and super active at night (daily reset time, which happens when I’m in bed). I just cannot get enough of it to finish the last 3 pieces of my ascended armor.

I recommend to guest to a server that’s more active during your play time for these events. There must be at least one?

i really don’t think this is worth complaining about. dragonite ore is easy, doesn’t take long to get if you use the right timer site and save your daily guests for this purpose.

It’s not about the difficulty, It’s the limited content providing dragonite ore.
Personally, I have no problem doing the open world meta events to get it (the fastest way imho).
But I understand the hardcore dungeon crowd who really dislike that part of the game.
Same goes for WvW-players. In WvW you can obtain dragonite ore, but the amount you get is ridiculously small given you need 500 for a single weapon or chest piece of armor for example.
It’s about playing the part of the game you like, not about difficulty.

One of the places where ascended gear really is necessary unlees you want to blow a shipload of gold is fractals. there’s absolutely no way to earn dragonite ore via fractals.

And yes, I’m aware that the opposite is also true. Empyreal fragments are hard to collect for people who dislike dungeons and fractals. Technically it’s the same problem there.

I prefer to spend my time in dungeons or fractals but I make time here and there to run a few world events to get my dragonite. In my opinion it’s just not that big of a deal since these events are fast and easy to do, and you can find events with great accuracy in quick succession using gw2stuff. Also you get free rares and other loot to salvage for MF. There are other things way more irritating about this game, haha.
