There are plenty of people out there that don’t mind running Arah with newbies to the dungeon as long as you let them know in advance. Also, what’s wrong with an all-newbie party, considering all the guides out there on how to complete each path? All it takes is for you to assume some leadership instead of relying on other people and read up, watch a video or two.

i always forget to vary my mail and get suppressed for sharing potions in dungeons. punishing good deeds, bah!

Patch notes say: “a new agony resist infusion slot has been added to all infused … backpacks”

It sounds to me that the new slot is only present for backpieces with (Infused) in the name, and this is in addition to the offensive or defensive slot already on the item. So

• Prototype Fractal Capacitor will not have the new slot.
• Beta Fractal Capacitor (Infused) will have it.
• Fractal Capacitor (Infused) will have it
• Quiver of Swift Flight will not have it.
• Quiver of Swift Flight (Infused) will have it
  etc.

So unless they also change the upgrade recipes you’ll still need a stack of ectos. Those of us already used the upgrade recipes start with a +5AR infusion slotted in so our AR is not reduced by the update. Upgrades performed after the patch will create items with an empty slot.

Tarnished Coast or Blackgate. All other servers besides those two are completely empty of all life and almost non-existent. I call it “severe population crisis” because that’s how bad a lot of the servers have gotten. Go big or go home.

Yak’s Bend was once an awesome PvE server but I have to agree – If it’s not NA prime time, I have a hard time getting the big events done on my server. I have been guesting to Blackgate and Tarnished Coast for boss events during off-peak hours since coming back to the game a couple of weeks ago.

Hah, I’m not surprised. I think the ascended staves (especially the white version) look better than Bifrost, but my top pick is the scythe skin. I’m contemplating transmuting it back onto my ascended staff.

I can quit any time I want! I did actually, but then I relapsed a few months later… but it’s mostly my friends that keep me coming back.

If the recipe with 250 ectos is still required to unlock this new infusion slot then we have nothing to complain about. If however it is no longer needed then I wasted 750 ectos on upgrading b4 i transmuted to backpiece skins I wanted. I wont be happy if thats the case.

I’ve been back to the game for about a week and a half I think, and I haven’t been able to do this event. Too bad because I’d like to experience the new Teq at least once!

Hobby Dungeon Explorers [HDE] is a new multi-server guild dedicated to dungeons and fractals. I started this guild because I tire of being in other guilds but always having to pug if I want to run fractals or a dungeon other than cof path 1. If you are like me, this guild is for you!

Veterans and newbies to dungeons/fractals are both welcome. The ideal veteran guild member would be up for any dungeon at any time, helpful, welcoming to new members and able to provide advice in a tactful manner. If you are new to dungeons, please have at least one character at lvl 80, be dedicated to a future of running dungeons and progressing in fractals (grow with us), do your homework (read guides or watch videos before trying a new path), listen to instruction and be willing to possibly change your skills if suggested to better synergize with the group.

As for fractals, the goal is to have a daily 48 fractals run with a dedicated group, with weekends as a time for alt progression. You don’t need to be at 48 to join, this is a long term goal if need be.

Mumble server is available for runs.

Guidelines for the guild:
- We ask that you represent our guild at least 50% of the time so we can get to know you and run with you regularly.
- Keep chat and mumble relatively clean
- Respect your fellow guild members. Treat them how you want to be treated. Arrogance and condescension aren’t welcome here.
- Respect anyone we PUG with while wearing the [HDE] tag. You never know when we might meet a potential recruit! Do not start arguments, be constructive and tactful. Let’s show the world we are an awesome bunch to play with.

Now that we are growing, there are officer positions open to active, mature, helpful dungeon/fractal vets. No major responsibilities involved since this guild runs itself. Represent the guild, help me show newbies the ropes, answer questions, resolve any disputes if I’m away, etc.

I have noticed quite a few postings in the subforum looking for dedicated dungeon/fractal guilds (mine included) and we’re not getting very much response – just the copy/paste pvx guild that keeps spamming us without reading the post. Might be time for a new guild.

I mostly farmed in the open world for money to buy t6 mats and charged cores, then turned those into lodestones in the toilet. I supplemented that with running coe a lot for more chance of getting cores and lodes. Bau Bau is right, make your clovers first. Another tip is to buy those tier 6 crafting bags with laurels. Keep what you need, sell what you don’t to buy more of what you need.

They do drop but the drop rate is low. If you have any globs you can turn them into vials in the mystic toilet.

Yat, I am in the same boat as you. I have been trying to find the right guild for a while that is dedicated to mostly dungeons and fractals and not having much luck. I’m also on the yak’s bend server. if you find a good group, please let me know about them! I’m almost wondering if I should start a new guild…

I’m assuming you refer to the dungeon reward changes and what that means for cof path 1… I’m looking forward to any change that makes other paths more profitable so I can’t complain. I do kind of miss open world farming, though.

Everything sounds pretty good, gives me a reason to stick around. I like the changes to dungeon rewards a lot. I have confidence they will include us players that already transmuted their legendaries… but I’m holding off on making any more until I see the new stuff!

I run coe almost every day, never have a problem filling up a group using the lfg site. if you keep having trouble finding a group feel free to add me and we can run it sometime!

i disagree with this expectation of other people to keep you alive considering we are supposed to be able to take care of ourselves in this system without a trinity. i say, wear berserker gear if you can take care of yourself through dodging and uses of blocks etc. If you find you need some additional survivability, add some defensive gear in little by little until you find a balance that works for you.

I was never going to make a guardian. Then one day I was running around Fireheart Rise with my thief and teamed up with a level 80 guardian. Watched how he was using the class and was impressed at how sustainable he was. The next day I created my guard and never really looked back. Now I have 4 level 80’s but my guardian is always my go to. I have almost 1k hours playing him.

I was also inspired by an awesome guardian in CM one night. Made my guardian and now barely touch the other characters.

Please send me a guild invite. My two favourite activities in game are dungeons and fractals so this seems like a good fit. I’m on Yak’s Bend right now but I’m open to a server transfer in the future. Thank you

the best thing to do is start your own dungeon groups on the lfg site. include “any class welcome” in your post and soon you’ll be surrounded by like-minded people. if anyone leaves after they see your class, well they probably wouldn’t be much fun to play with anyway.

i can only play human characters because the novelty runs out fast with the other races. i tried to roll a norn once but couldn’t hack it because her legs were too short.

Not much anymore. I used to log in daily for hours but once i finished my legendary I found myself barely interested in the game anymore. I’ll log in once in a couple times per week now to catch up with a couple of friends that are still playing, help them with farming a bit, maybe go for a pug fractals run on the weekend. That’s about it these days!

Why don’t you just join a guild that can teach you for free? if you don’t like guilds, post on the lfg site and state you are new and looking for some pointers. This isn’t something you should have to pay someone for. Plenty of helpful folks out there.
