In TL;DR’ing him, you apparently missed where he said “closer to the 3 month end of 2-3 month releases”.
In other words, folks were expecting later this month (April) because Anet’s so far maintained the 2 month releases (and SAB going on til then), but it’s going to be early/mid May instead by the current looks of things.
That said, as OriOri said, it’s technically not delayed since ArenaNet always promised 2-3 months, not 2 months. It’s just slower – but still within projected release time – than the other episodes.

Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
It is unfortunate that MMOs have so much RNG. This allows brand new players or someone who does something the first time to get the rare item while people who have been playing since start or have been doing something many times still do not get that item. Its a very unfair system. It would be much more fair to give some kind of token so that everyone has an equal chance.
But a large foundation of MMOs is the idea of “lottery”. They prey on peoples’ desire to get something for no work, or to get something great for a small investment. That’s why we have Black Lion Chests, the Mystic Toilet, Ecto gambling, etc. as well. As long as the majority of players fall for this type of thing, we won’t see a fair system in games.

I disagree. Everyone having a fair chance would be everyone getting a guaranteed token for each completion, then turn in X tokens for the prize.
As I said, RNG means I can do something over and over and never get the item while a new person can get the item the first try. That is not fair.
no that would mean theres no joy in getting anything, everything is farmed, nothing is unexpected, dull dull dull. Everyone has an equal change of getting something, and we all benefit from the pleasure of getting the unexpected loot – even if you don’t care about it, you still get pleasure from it.
Lets bear in mind there are a million different types of token already on GW2 and almost everything can be bought already. Some misunderstand the purpose of RNG and dont think this way, they see it as some kind of denial, and the root of that problem comes from games where loot = keeping up with the joneses, games where envious eyes look bitterly on the loot of others.
As above, i’ve never had any loot drop that was worth more than maybe 20 gold, but it doesn’t matter because im not disadvantaged, and i know any drop could mean something nice. Gratz to those who got that precurser drop i say, 1 day i hope it will be me.

One thing I’ve found useful in preventing this happening, in cases where the account bound thing is an actual item rather than a wardrobe unlock (e.g. the teleport items for Bitterfrost Frontier and Lake Doric) is to make sure I have the item in my inventory before I open any chests. That seems to consitently work, whereas if I leave the item in my bank, sometimes I get a duplicate instead of keys.
As a person who pugged 99% from 1 to 200 li i have some really important advice to make your life easier.
1) Start is gonna be really slow so be patient. Farming basically everything except Mat, Xera, Deimos, mb SAB. Basically you join w/e u can on lfg and hope for the best.Especially on weekends groups dont tend to ask for a lot of LI but a lot of groups will fail at clearing bosses cause…weekends.
2) If u can buy a tag and make your own groups. It makes a world of difference.
3) Learn to play Chrono tank like it is a second nature.It will net u entry not only in statics groups, but generally groups with higher Li than u got.
I totally disagree that the old system is needed. I think the new system is a lot better and a lot more beneficial for everyone, old players and new alike. We don’t get as many toys to mess around with, but that’s ultimately better because the less they have to balance, the more fun we can have with what’s available and the more viable those fewer builds become. It is a little frustrating with how limiting it can be, but ultimately it’s for the best.
People making this complaint has no concept of “group composition”, which is critical for speedruns/farms/etc.
Of course people are going to be toxic at you if you go on LFG and look to be “carried”. I have ele & necro fully geared for T4 fractals, and I only run fractal 40 w/ele.
There is enough “casual 40 farms” for this to be non-issue. You can enjoy your 5-minute runs, while groups with proper composition can do 3-minute runs or less.
While possible I do think there are enough farms which come close (and surpass) level 10 fractals as far as gold/hour goes. Even if not, the requirement to run level 40 fractal is so low especially now with the new maps making ascended trinkets even easier to get.
Personally I think you are just risking burning out on fractal content for low returns. Might as well wait a couple of days and run the 40 farm.
It wouldn’t be just for 24 hours, I hope? I won’t be able to get to my computer for a couple of days.
What you can try though is make a ticket to support before the sale ends and ask them if they can help you out. Explain that you can’t log on for a few days. Maybe they’ll allow you to buy it through a support ticket. If it doesn’t work then you’re no worse off.

I felt that I should pitch in on the multiple issues across this thread.
First off:
Thanks everyone for raising your concern about this issue, and I want to assure everyone that we do investigate player reports for every issue. Sometimes these investigations can take some time, and we may choose to action in bulk rather than individually.
Second:
Harassment of any type is NOT OK. If you believe someone is not playing fair, please use the report feature. It not only helps us track the issue, but also helps us identify possible hotspot issues. Even though the OP has been now been actioned multiple times for using 3rd party tools, there are better ways to handle this.

I had no intent on starting my own thread to name and shame this OP, or any of the other few potential sw botters I see.
The video is not mine, but I gathered possible evidence on the OP botting which I wasn’t entirely sure what to do with. I actually just installed xsplit a few days ago to record my own video.
I was actually looking for a screenshot of the bot tool when I came across this being discussed on the forums. I was shocked to see that one of the potential botters started his own post to defend himself. I decided to reply to his thread, that maybe he isn’t being so honest.
I take responsibility for what I have posted about the topic, and if I’m out of line the mods can give me an infraction and remove my post. I’m just a frustrated player who wishes the report feature didn’t feel so meaningless. (and not simply towards the OP)
One of the reasons that naming and shaming or in-game harassment isn’t allowed is because no one should be making judgments except Anet. If you report someone constantly and they aren’t banned, that seems to indicated that Anet can’t find anything wrong with what they are doing. Would you prefer Anet ban people simply based on reports so that people can get someone banned just because they don’t like them? I prefer Anet err on the side of caution and have proof that the person did someone wrong.

I don’t agree that mysteries have an expiry date. Wizard’s Tower is the sort of place that benefits from ongoing mystery. Once that mystery is gone, what makes the Tower so inviting, so interesting is gone and gone forever.
That is not something I would like to see happen and hopefully it can remain a permanent mystery where people can forever look up and wonder.
Some mysteries benefit from being resolved – this is not one of them imo.
I think a permanent SAB (or the addition of Worlds 3 and 4 and the conclusion of the ‘story’) would be like any other map/content added to the game. Within a couple of months, the forums would have posts like ‘been there, done that – 100 times…when do we get something new??’
It’s better as a Festival, in my opinion, and I have not even entered this year, as just a different color on the weapons hold little enticement for me.
As someone that started playing a necromancer lately I have a bit of feedback here. Please understand I am not excusing any AFK farming or whatnot that is actually going on, just pointing this out: I sometimes go AFK as I do with any of my characters for a few minutes to do something, and when I return this character is more likely than any of my others to have a message telling me I was reported for being a farmer. So it seems like people see a necro with a gaggle of minions AFK and immediately assume something nefarious is up. Not accusing anyone in this thread of doing the same, I just want to point out that some of the reports are based on false assumptions. Now this could be because necros are the primary offender and as such are more suspect, but still.
My SO and I run a 2-man guild [fate], and we have been working on this Super Adventure Box-style guild hall since the reintroduction of the festival last year and have been dumping our gold into obtaining lots and lots of decorations. We routinely break down our creations, so we wanted to showcase our jumping adventure before the SAB festival on Thursday. There’s lots more to our guild hall besides what’s shown in the video, including many hidden frogs that are waiting to be found.
We hope this inspires everybody to deck out their guild halls with decorations, especially the new SAB ones. Enjoy this decoration extravaganza!
It’s not impossible that this will happen, but like the requests for “DirectX 11 support”, it’s basically “replace the current engine with a newer one”, which is a huge development cost.
It /might/ happen, but it’s a big investment and has relatively limited returns. Especially changes like additional character customization are super-expensive because they require changes not only to the client, but to the server, the storage systems, the network protocol, and anything that interacts with the character model (eg: bones and animations, gear textures, etc.)
So … relatively speaking if you had to spend three months, would you choose something that was close to invisible (character customization) or something more visible (several maps, story, etc) to the players?
Yes I have bad habit of doing that (not stalking per se, but whenever I randomly find their grps on lfg), will admit it’s silly of me

It’s only a guess but I think this thread is getting closed/deleted as well soon like the other one. Maybe a moderator could invite the OP into a chat and have a short conversation with him to help him finding the right direction in the game because I don’t think we – as players – are able to do that.
At least to me it sounds that he is in the need for some help.
