For Serious Ranger, time HAS come

First I hope this thread will be spoted by an admin and developers who cares to see the game and its classes evolve.
Ranger class was at first one of the most powerfull around even overpowered if we look back before all the adjustement given to us (Ranger himself or pet nerf).
Each trait once had a purpose and a deep reason to be the way they were unfortunatly over time most of these trait remain the same but for exemple all of our pets are not as strong as they used to, leaving some or not nearly all trait pet related and some utility skill outdated, weakened or eventually useless/not working in the case of a dead pet.
I also believe most of the cooldown have to be reviewed to match our this weakness, compared to most of other classes which possess the same trait working regardless of a pet alive or not AND with a much faster cooldown and something better effect.
.
Matter of fact too many trait depend on the being alive factor, toughness and/or vitality of the pet, needless to say that we saw our pets health drasticly reduced in pvp/wvw and so were all of their attributes..

Remember to this day that our pet HAS NO WAY to dodge anything, the only thing we can do is press f3 and hope the pet react in time and get out of the HUGE area he might be in and i believe when f3 is being pressed a feature granting invulnerability or a decent dodge should be granted (add a timer between each of the avoidance if needed, i’m pretty sure putting a digital clock in the f3 icon isnt too hard).

Just to name a few traits which are today hard to get along with:

Beastmaster’s bond becomes useless if your pet takes a hit killing it while it has 51%hp, same deal if it dies over a 1 bad kitten hit killing it right away. 60sec CD not wasted if not triggered.

Shared Anguish (pet has to be alive for it to work) 90sec CD (OMG 1minute 30sec.. too random for the fact that our pet must be alive) (for exemple a similar trait hard to catch the thief has is only 30sec CD) (warrior is being granted balanced stance atleast for such a long CD..) (Elem is being granted a shocking aura each 25sec.) ok.. next..

Empathic Bond in my book is the worst (Pet has to be alive for it to work) Enough said, becomes useless asap the pet is gone.. atleast revamp it so 1 condition is still cleaned instead of 3 while pet is dead, it could remain the exact same if we get the f3 invul/dodge feature.

Signet of Renewal (Pet has to BE CLOSE TO YOU AND ALIVE for it to work) this is also boring to use this skill which sound awesome by the look of it but quickly can become useless if the pet is too far (yes too far from you when you activate it) or dead
NOTE: Actually all of our signet have pet active effect for which we only can enjoy the effect if we are traited with a grand master trait.

Some other trait forces your pet to be in combat for the ability to work which means your can’t press f2 right after you summon it but wait untill it hits or gets hit.

entangle (can’t be used if you are blinded, kitten ?!)

My point here is trully to show how much we depend on our pets and how some left over issues can affect our everyday game play, the pet needs in a way more survivability or we need more control over it or review some of these traits.

New idea should be brought up when it comes to the effect the pets are giving us and to the party, to this day there isnt a single pet granting auras, too many of them are granting too short boons, none does torment, no pet granting AoE stealth like other medium classes are able to (please dont mention the siamouth), i’m sure more idea can be brought up and added.

I had alot more to say and will post it on a next post, I’m pretty sure some serious player out there will be able to mention how some CD are incredibly high compared to other classes and i count on them also to give their feedback with the ranger.

Keep faith in your ranger and remember ranger also has melee weapons

How is a physical arrow going to knock someone down/back if it pierces right through them?

Momentum transfer is what knocks things down. If you have enough momentum you can pass through something and still have enough left over to keep on going…

But physics aside, I really do prefer the short bow to the longbow on my ranger. Outside of standing at the top/bottom of a wall in WvW, I just cannot find a space the LB feels comfortable to me. The auto-attack just pulses so slow (compared to SB) and its so reliant on a range that nothing interesting to fight is going to let me maintain.

Adry.7512

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO WITH THIS GAME? seriously, all we are seeing are minimal and a bunch of times meaningless content. this isnt a hate thread, i am asking a very serious question. stop beating around the bush and let your fans know what EXACTLY you guys are planning to do, and we expect to see big content SOON…..veryyyy soon.

Yes the bosses are harder, yes the dungeons are harder, yes we can have loads of fun customizing our characters, but we need to see actual and i mean actual content. try to understand that the small stuff can only get someone so far, we need big content as well.

and in PVP…..we like the new pvp mode you guys added, it was cool, but….what about wvw? you guys dont realize that as much as you add to it, wvw has NO actual technique….its just go and kill stuff with a zerg. i enjoy a lot of your content and the fact that you can go into a vast world and do free-for-all pvp is really nice, but you guys need to understand, you lack a lot of necessary things.

as weird as it sounds, players need to feel that what they are spending their time on is meaningful….and no its not from the rewards they get. try to think about it in a more in-depth psychological way. for example, when one plays a game, what do they want to accomplish? its a fantasy mmorpg with pvp…..wouldnt the main attraction be some kind of goal where a player can achieve a fantasy stature and feel grandiose. a player needs MORE individuality in this game. one needs to be able to stand out and feel accomplished, and to be honest leaderboards are just leaderboards….LOL. they are just things for recognition, but not individuality.

think more of the individual need instead of the basic things, look more into the core and stop scratching the surface of what it means to play a fantasy virtual world ^^.

Legendaries similar to GW1 GWAMM title

in Suggestions

Posted by: Ronah.2869

Ronah.2869

I think Legendaries should be “achievement based” not “crafting based”. It should be an “award” not a “product”. In hero panel they could add a new tab called “legendary” and it will feature all weapon types in a generic form. Every weapon is represented empty and it will fill up the more requirements for that weapon you fulfill
The requirements will be based on the achievements. Weapon master will be the one that will make the difference of which weapon is filled up faster.
This will be like bringing back the “GWAMM” title from GW1 in GW2.
You will need a certain number of achievements to get a Legendary weapon.
Legendaries will be than account bound and they can be claimed directly from Hero tab once filled.
In this way people will need to do different things to get them and not just buy materials in tradepost or buying directly the weapon itself

Meaningless Multiplayer
And this is the second and exceedingly jarring issue I have, how utterly meaningless and trivial multiplayer is in this game. Which as far as MMO’s goes I consider this to be a cardinal sin. If your multipler gameplay in a massively ‘multiplayer’ online game is poor, then you’ve kind of missed the bloody point haven’t you?

Which is exceedingly bazaar, since in many respects Anet actually did a wonderful job of making it easier then ever to actual play with people without silly little hurdles or contrivances getting in the way, which is fantastic. And yet when you actually do play together, nothing of note ever actually happens.

It’s like everyone is in a bubble roll-a-ball, you can see each other and occasionally bump into each other, but you can’t interact in any meaningful sense. You have no roles, you can’t rely on anyone to do anything specific, nor be relied upon.
You can’t effect anybody in any meaningful way.

Everyone is designed to only ever care about themselves and only themselves, screw everyone else around you. Even if you wanted to help others, you can’t. Not in any direct, or effective ways. At best you have entirely indirect, impersonally, and often trivial means.
The only direct help you can offer is rezzing their sorry backside. Which naturally takes no skill or effort whatsoever.

And what is maddening is that the game is so bloody close to actually pulling off a new and innovative way to have support/cooperative multiplayer interactions, in a way that could be tremendously fun. And yet it just doesn’t. It has everything it needs to work, the door is wide open, and yet it refuses to take the steps to go through.
It seems Anet are so scared of making mistakes that they instead opt to do nothing at all.

Overall I think multiplayer is a few steps forward, and a few steps to the side and off a cliff. You undermined the entire point of multiplayer, and that is bloody disgraceful.
I never thought you could screw it up this badly, but apparently I was mistaken in giving you entirely too much credit.

I’ve had a much more involved and enjoyable multiplayer experience in Dark Souls 2 kitten .

Farewell GW2

I figured it was high time I took the time to explain why I am no longer playing GW2, and I seriously don’t expect that I will be back anytime soon.
It’s the responsible thing to do I think, since most players that leave simple go silent without saying anything. So take this for what little it’s worth.

I used to be a tremendous fan of Arenanet’s, since Guild Wars built up a large amount of good will with me. Sure it had a few missteps and wasn’t a perfect game by any stretch, but it did good by it’s player base, and had a fair bit of depth to it’s mechanics.

-
And as excited by Guild Wars 2 as I was, and as good as it was at launch, it has since then just become a continuing source of disappointment. It squandered all of my good will, to the point where I simply just don’t bloody care anymore.

I could list off my considerable list of issues I have with the game, but I will restrain myself to only my two biggest bug bears.

-
Direction of Content Creation
First is how Anet go about their content creation, or rather how they don’t.
Anet seem far, far more preoccupied with polish and temporary content ala the Living Story then permanent content to the world or professions.

As small as the world is, is a small as it will continue to be. And your stuck with the same old content between LS content, which is take it or leave it at best. And any innovation or improvements to content, such as better telegraphing never makes it’s way to the rest of the game. It’s like an entirely different game that’s be cut off, it’s very odd.
And there is only so long you can play the same content before it’s no longer interesting, assuming it was interesting from the beginning.
The pace in which actual new permanent content is added to the game is lethargic at best.

-
What’s worse I for me is what has been done with professions, which is next to nothing. They occasional get tweaks and balance changes, which is expected, but half the time they when they fix something they break something else or don’t actually fix it.
Many bugs and dead skills/traits have been so for at least 6-12 months, sometimes longer. This might not have been as much of an issue if Anet continuously added content to the professions, since they did go out of their way to future proof it.
But of course they haven’t.

The amount of content that has been added to professions coming on two years now has been absolutely laughable…. if it wasn’t so pathetically sad.
And coming from Guild Wars which had a great deal of content to this poultry amount is jarring to say the least, I don’t even recognize them as the same company at this point.

Needless to say, but I’m going to say anyway, I am not a fan of this approach. It’s going nowhere fast, and I can’t expect it to improve. And no amount of polish is going to rectify this.

A warm welcome to all frequent and seldom forum goers! In this age of technology we are constantly being reminded that time is a valuable commodity and that it should be spent cautiously.
With that in mind I’ve taken on an ambitious project of compiling a list of commonly used GW2 phrases and their meanings. Instead of wasting your time reading walls of text or deciphering someone’s intent, with this marvelous dictionary, you’ll be able to sum up the entirety of a post in 2 seconds flat (feel free to comment the irony).

One thing to note before we start is that, although the language might be the same, the meaning behind some words/phrases may differ greatly depending if they were used by common forum goers or by developers. Therefore all entries for developer-speak are marked with an asterisk (*) in front of them. Enjoy.

New hairstyles?

StinVec.3621

I’ve not come across anything that points to additional hair styles being released soon.

Also, they are unlikely to release new hair styles so soon after releasing “new” faces to the total makeover kits. They would likely release both at the same time or have their releases span several weeks to months so the new styles would release after the initial makeover kit sales boost died down from the previous release.

They likely have at least a dozen finished styles of faces and hair ‘on the shelf’, but only release 3 of one at a time to stretch out the releases to maximize the boost to makeover kit sales, and thus a mostly reliable boost in gem sales.

Not directly related to your topic:

I really wish they would start adding in other exclusive makeover kit features like:

Charr:

  • Horns
  • Tails
  • Fur markings
  • Piercings/Horn decorations
  • Tail decorations/attachments

Norn:

  • Tattoos/scars
  • Piercings
  • Facial hair styles
(I don’t think new hairstyles have ever included new facial hair styles, have they?)

Asura:

  • Ears
  • Piercings
  • Skin patterns
  • Tattoos/scars

Sylvari:

  • Piercings/Ornamentation
  • Bark(?) markings/Patterns
  • Bark style (currently can choose between two types)
  • Glow Enhancements (always on; colors; styles like fading wave from toe to head instead of pulsating; other)
  • Bark etchings (tattoos :P)

Human:

  • Tattoos/scars
  • Piercings
  • Facial hair styles

Legendary Weapons instant bind

Ari.4023

Yep, not on use but instantly account bound. Legendary weapons are Legendary and so being able to sell them seems off. It would also lower the prices of precursors if people couldn’t sell legendaries anymore. You make one – its for your own use. Thats how it should be.

As for the currently listed legendaries? Allow them to stay, but once removed from the TP and picked up they’l instantly become account bound.

I highly suggest you stop working against yourself. part of GW has always been “status” even if a super rare weapon or armor piece looks like trash to you, if its super rare.. your going to show it.

well.. my examples of this in GW2 is Liadri mini, and for more of an example. even the Black Lion weapon skins.. stop releasing minis and items, giving us a date to get the stuff by, and then 4 months later make them available again. its a huge slap in the face for playing YOUR game. you did this in GW1 too and has upset many players. like the festival hats from early years that even a new player can now get? common! horrible. many people I know feel the same as me, and it means enuff for me to get angry at my monitor and get GW2 off the dang screen so I can come to the forums and throw a kitten fit about it.

STOP IT.

IMHO the biggest problem of the bows is that features that should have been bundled in the weapon for free are traits instead, like piercing arrows or read the wind.

Having to invest 6 points just to make a weapon viable while other classes get much more consistent buffs for similar investment is kinda jarring.

Also, the trais are boring and skill-less. instead of “you can now cleave like everyone else” “20% less cd” or “you can now hit moving stuff” we should have more fun stuff like:

-Splinter arrows: On crits arrows explode in splinters, homing in nearby targets and bleeding them
-Intercepting arrow: Arrows now have a chance to destroy enemy projectiles mid-flight if timed right. The closer you are to the enemy, the higher the chance.
-Piercing arrows: after each cleave the arrow gains 10% damage and a bleed on the next pierced target
-Spotter: No longer an aura, but applies the effect to all nearby teammates to the target hit (also makes more sense for its name)
-Broad head arrows: Allows to “charge” #1 by keeping it pressed, firing an arrow with a much higher arc on release, easier to dodge but with more damage – max charge gets a blast finisher.

What are Rangers for?

…you’re a bad ranger…
…you’re a bad ranger…

Stop it, immediately! The ranger is subpar to the warrior. Period. That doesn’t mean that the warrior always wins or that a selfclaimed proplayer is able to win the most fights as ranger vs. warriors. But it means that the warrior has to invest less skill and less effort to beat a ranger than a ranger has to invest to beat a warrior.

So your logic is “Warrior is easier to play than ranger therefore warrior is better than ranger.”, by that logic warrior is the best profession in the game because of how simple it is to play at a competent level. Got it.

Even a ranger played to its fullest potential can’t outshine the warrior who’s considered to have a cap you can’t go beyond statwise, because the warrior starts at higher levels statwise, with no flaws. The ranger on the other side starts way lower, further hindered by flaws such as relying on an AI wich ArenaNet repeatedly fails to fix.
And please don’t consider working against the flaws of a class as skillfull since you wont get anything just by compensating the lacks of the ranger.
If you invest a set amount of time to master one specific class, I can assure you, that you will be better with any other class than the ranger.

Parts of armour skins sets sold separately. They’d have to be more expensive per piece than if you bought the whole set of course, for example 250 gems per piece. Right now I don’t buy a lot of gem store skins because I only like one part of the set and I am not willing to spend 800 gems on five things I do not want.

I have tickets to buy them from the trader and gold to snag from the TP, but I will not be.

I like the design of several of them (greatsword, bows), but I’m tired of them throwing orange/red flames on everything.

Had the flames been purple, or green, or (here’s an idea) dyeable…maybe then.

And it doesn’t help that every item they release with flames on it has completely different flame appearance and effects and flame behavior. You cannot even throw all your flame armor and weapons on since all of the flames are different. Total lack of vision and sense of consistency by the designers.

This game is full of disappointments. Not much experience was expected.

The learning curve for skills and builds is long and complex despite what is advertised.

The time commitment for the game is huge for top gears and WvW coverage, not sure if it is for casual gamers.

Thought one can play it anytime one chooses; no, it’s more important to schedule life around events to be productive.

Dev said the update patch would encourage players to use full set of runes, but the “Superior Rune of Lyssa” lost all boons with all conditions removal after the update.

Thought “Hall of monuments” stuffs would be cool before GW2 was released, no one cares them now because “Legendries” have fancy foot prints.

Thought “Festival of the Four Winds” would be fun, but this time it has No Loot.

Somehow the PR for game always misleads and always deceptive.

So i was having a bright moment earlier today and started thinking:

" Wouldn’t it be cool if instead of using a shield, we like the look of, in the normal way there was an option to —--> turn it into a backpiece.

Shields are probably 1 of the weapons hardly used by most professions. On the other side a lot of the shields have some pretty awesome skins, but is that nice skin worth loosing ur 2 handed weapon?? No it’s not.

I was thinking it would be awesome if we could be able to choose on USAGE, to either use the shield as a shield or as a backpiece.

Now the big question is:

Are there any other people that think this would be a good idea to eventually get implemented by AN? Let’s get the discussion under way and here the Pros/Cons.

I have made a thread before about customization and showing weapons in different poses on the character selection, but your backpieces aren’t even shown? They count as armor, why would they not?

I am kinda a noob, and I just got the gas tank backpiece skin for my Charr Engineer, and it looks really cool, but when I logged out to change characters I was disappointed it was not shown. I hoped to have every character decked out with awesome armor and a backpiece to match (sylvari ele with TA armor and the yellow flower, Necro wearing Arah with Karka backpiece) and while it is minor, it would still be cool if you could see those things at the main menu, as at times they add or even make the outfit.

  • Pet variation usefulness, at the end of the day we only toss between a few species.

Item Prestige: Not being respected?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Malediktus.9250

Malediktus.9250

I don’t think these items can be called prestige. Prestige is something positive. I think when someone sees a Legendary/Ascended, they either think “that guy has too much money” or “that guy has no life”.

Prestige items are linked to achivement, which is linked to ability or skill to excell at something that others do not. Spending 18 hours a day in front of the computer is not a skill. At best, it is a lifestyle.

I disagree, what you are suggesting is that a clock from Rolex, a Ferrari, a Bugatti, a private jet, a yacht, etc has no prestige in real life. You can get all that stuff in real life without being skilled, just by exploiting your employes, winning the lottery or inheriting it. Yet people still consider that stuff prestige.

I don’t give a skritt.

If somebody who only joined the game in February need the fervid censer or molten gloves to complete their outfit idea, the best of luck to them.

I’d rather see more cool, thoughtful outfits out there than feel like a special little snowflake showing off my “I was there” items.

Item Prestige: Not being respected?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Conski Deshan.2057

Conski Deshan.2057

I feel the need to post this given the re-release of nearly all LS rewards, I find that the prestige of items is not being respected within the game both by players and by the developers (mainly in response to small groups of players pressuring) and I would like to hear peoples thoughts.

What is item prestige
It is an unwritten statement that having a certain item gives, this can be something simple like “I was there” for most LS items to more specific statements such as “I have gotten to high level fractals” (backpiece and weapons) and “I’m rich” for legendaries and high value items.

Types of prestige
There are several types of prestige,

-“I was there prestige”: These are attendance rewards usually with some also having to be earned, they show you played back then or that you participated in a limited time event. Most living story skins used to fall into this category. Is destroyed by re-releasing the item by any means as the statement is no longer valid.

-“Skill prestige”: These would be items such as the tribulation mode weapons and Liadri they not only require you to play a certain activity but to do it to a high level of skill. Care has to be taken with these as power creep or an exploit can wipe out all their value in an instant.

- “Investment prestige”: These are items that take a large amount of resources be it time or money to complete and make a general statement about your playtime and choice of activity. Is wrecked by deflation/inflation or awarding of a previously high investment item for a low investment activity.

Why is prestige important?
Personally I believe prestige items to be important because they are the main thing I work towards in any MMO. They are the main source of enjoyment for me, attempting to collect as many of them as possible under the conditions imposed by the game. They act as badges of honor cataloging your deeds and accomplishments in a visual manner.

So how is it not being respected?
Lets start with the simplest one, the living story skins, these were a simple prestige that is easy to get right but have now been re-released not only re-released but made available for a direct gold conversion ( z boxes -> tokens) this devalues a year and a halves worth of attendance and achievement completion to under 100 gold, which is an infuriating thing.

For skill based skins, the issue arises with people (who haven’t completed the content) demanding access or asking for them to be trade-able. This takes away the items prestige and would again just convert it to monetary value. A small example of this would be run selling which allowed people access to skins without putting in the work in the correct content (Irrelevant now after the PvP merge).

Why is this happening?
I believe that this is occurring due to player entitlement and an excessively gold based economy. Player entitlement being that players who couldn’t/wouldn’t attend or complete the content (this includes limited time frame events) demanding access regardless while this entitlement is encountered in many games it appears to be amplified here due to people interpreting the design philosophy as “I can have anything I want”.
For example, if you were not at the molten alliance event, due to not owning the game, not playing , being out of the country etc or did not complete the meta, you miss out on the fused gauntlets that item becomes the reward given during that event and you move on your “ideal look” does not entitle you to access to that item.

On the gold based economy: In many MMO’s gold is a “beginner currency” of sorts or is only a partial requirement to gain prestige class items. (For examples: FFXIV all high level items/gear is bound on acquire so you must do the work yourself)
In GW2 most items can be bought with gold or real world cash which eliminates any prestige an item might otherwise carry (example being if legendaries were account bound on acquire they would hold more prestige even if only due to the map completion requirement). A single currency is also far more at risk to exploitation as it will permeate every area of the game.

I just know my loot has gone down so I am getting much less awesome than I used to. This makes me a sad Asura. I can’t afford the chaos gun I want. That sucks.

Keep at it. Several things can happen:

You’ll save up enough money to get one.
The market will shift and the price will drop to what you have already set aside.
New precursors/Legendaries will be introduced and the old ones will drop in price due to decreased demand.
An alternate method of obtaining a precursor will be introduced, depending on the specifics you may reach that goal quickly just because you have been playing the game.
You’ll get a precursor as a random drop, and if it’s not the one you want, you can sell it to buy the chaos gun.

Dusk dropped for me randomly last year, so I know that it can happen. Personally, I don’t care at all about Legendaries, the added graphics annoy me and the skins themselves are not that impressive. And I couldn’t care less whether or not people get jealous or are impressed when I walk by them and leave glowing footprints or shoot unicorns past their heads or whatever.

So I sold it and used the gold to gear up several alts and get the things I did want. I have sixteen toons and not one of them has anything more valuable than Tier 2 cultural armor, because I only buy the gear I like.

I know I can wait and all that. I have 2 legendaries as it is and over the course of my playtime have had 6 precursors drop. I know. The issue is that in the same amount of playtime, I’m just not getting anything. Could be rng. But it’s like… I hit a group of mobs. I kill all 10. By myself. And I get a trophy junk item. Now I know that it’s rng and my 300% mf isn’t going to rain precursors down on me, but I don’t see any reason to believe that these prices will go down or that whatever new method they come up with for precursor acquisition will actually be less time consuming. I just.. have to let it go, you know? That’s how I feel. My enjoyment of the game is somewhat contingent on whether I get some loot or not. If i don’t think I’m going to get anything I might as well stay in DR RPing. Which I do.

What happened ? I just don’t find any real reason to play

Seriously, what happened to this game? I remember a few years ago when Arenanet insisted that Guild Wars 2 would be a game with no grind, everyone could enjoy everything and people would be able to play the way they wanted.

And now, almost 2 years after launch here we are, no real content added to the game since launch, the same boring grind everyday for what ? To get skins ? So people leave the game (like I did) and then come back and see that instead of the usual thing you see in MMO’s, you know “lfg gg” you see the “5k+ only” and when you try to join a group you get kicked. It’s like you are punished for not doing the same boring thing everyday, or for not finishing the achievements of the LS. And when you finally manage to get back into the game you notice that nothing has changed, your character can’t really progress and you’re stuck doing the same thing you’ve done for almost 2 years.

I just don’t find any real reason to play, I want to find something worth doing but nothing is really interesting or new… Just wondering if I’m the only one feeling this way…

Pets are irrelevant in open field pvp.

Take the teleporting condi theif. he stealths. the pet stops and starts scratching himself. He teleports back and forth. The pet runs back and forth like its a game of fetch. The theif runs away, the pet misses his lunge.

Extreme example, but every class with the exception of maybe necros have the ability to keep your pet running in circles doing jack squat to help you.

Pets ARE Irrelevant.

Building a Longbow Ranger for PvP is Lunatic mode difficulty. Your weapon dmg is already penalized, and your pet adds nothing. You have to figure out a way to get around this double penalty.

Why Is luck an Item?

What’s the point of it being an item?..
It’s account bound, for an account wide bonus, it’s used for one thing and one thing only… Why not instead just put luck straight into the account’s luck meter upon salvage?..

new faces....where?

when they announced new faces i was hoping for some new faces to try out, what really happened is disappointing and that is an understatement.

i checked all the faces of all races, tried every different points of view but i can’t call this “new” faces but recycled faces with a paint job.
asura: just 1 face with different patterns
sylvari: reused the previous new face with a new pattern
human: same face as release face but with different make-up and such
norn: same face as released face with different make-up and such

the only single race that has actual new faces is the charr, not that they look pretty in the slightest but that could be me.

so to warn anyone, don’t buy in to this, they reused old faces and simply edited it with photoshop.
it’s a cheap and lazy money making strategy, a real low blow IMO.

we want actual new faces with new face structures and new face expressions, we want new options to make our characters look exactly the way we want it to look and we want the new stuff to actually be new.
i know that Anet is getting more and more greedy but advertising this cheap crap really makes my blood boil, both as a player and as a game designer it’s a disappointment to see Anet go so low as to simply edit an existing face and sell it at the full price.
