Kinda hard to do Dwarves as they were all but wiped out fighting the great destroyer
Although im for adding alliances back i dont see how its "destroying bonds " if they dont get added . It’s not like you cant have a facebook page or forums to stay in touch .
Another thing to think about is 5 full guilds in Guild wars 1 is the equivalent to 1 full guild in Guild Wars 2 so a merger of several smaller guilds from GW1 may be a better option in GW2 rather than allying .
Pistol Engineer for skill 3 you can tag things left and right with static shot .
Another good one is fire attuned ele again for its tagging ability
Lore doesn’t support Elves so your gonna have to stick with Sylvari
you only get a Mini rytlock once so if you lost your first your S.O.L
Its a gold sink and if your in an area like that you should have easily made it back shouldn’t you?
tbh there are really only a hand full of early ones where you need to be at level for regardless of class . once you get to the orders stuff though it gets a little trickier
Engineers can usually get away with being under-leveled for story by quite a few levels. Generally speaking however taking your time with the game by exploring doing hearts etc will usually leave you better equipped .
Like, a player’s weapon skill set changes to five different “moves” while /dance’ing, that can be improved/adquired via the Cash Shop. And also changed based on the player’s preferences.
Something like:
1- Twist
2- Shout
3- Spin
4- Jump
5- (Change to a different move list)So, my dear reader….what do you think? Leave your thoughts right below, and help this suggestion flow.
“lets twist again like we did last summer . Lets twist again like we did last yeeear.”
Does that tell you my stance?
Well there is at least one reason for this (not the only one of course) but fans of GW, as a whole, who are 30 now would have been 23 when GW1 came out.
not necessarily . do to a lot of mechanics being changed some GW1 players could actually be very disappointed it .
in my 30s and like it .
they do have “traveling merchants” so we’ll see if they actually do anything with them
you may want to remove number 25 its likely to get this thread reported and is quite frankly tasteless .
YES! Not enough games use crossbows in my opinion . I could see it on the Engineer and Thief and maybe Warrior . Some things i could see for it
Theif
Immobilize ,Poison and blind
Engineer
Burn, Bleed ,Vulnerability and a Knockback
Warrior
Stun,Vulnerability, a Pull and Bleed
thanks for info . I didn’t even think to look at facton armors . looks like it’ll be a while till i get it .
Gifts are Account Bound so yes your crafting has to maxed .
As for Magic Find no chests are not affected since chests aren’t drops .
This is from the Wiki
“Magic find is an attribute that increases a player’s chance to receive rare loot from drops”
Honestly if Trahearne wasn’t monotone he would probably be more likable but he says dire things and cheerful things in the same tone . This unfortunately makes people yaaaaaaaawn through the zzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Huh oh sorry Trahearne was talking and i dozed off
Is there a Corinthian style helmet in the game ? I really want one for my warrior I’m making but from the pictures I’ve seen so far i cant find one .
This is what i mean for those wondering
http://www.swordsandarmor.com/images/H237_Corinthian_Helmet.JPG
http://www.thehistorybunker.co.uk/acatalog/BlackCorinthiansHelmet300.jpg
No because there are far better kits and turrets in the following tiers that you are better off saving those skill points for .
then you were playing the wrong game . sure you COULD solo if you couldn’t find a party but you were always better off with one especially in the beginning when it was just proph .
I never liked the henchmen model and am very glad to see t gone. Even though you do see elements of it left in your personal stories.
I liked the Hench far more than Heros . The thing about the henchmen is that they were so bad they made you WANT to play with other players . Remember Alisia always running up mid combat with renew life trying to rez ya or Cynn always dropping firestorm at exactly the wrong time ? ahhhh now those were fun times .
Yes because you are not only endorsing somthing tha destroys game economies but also saying “i want to play a Massively Sigleplayer Online Game”
Sam if you compared the voice acting from GW 1 to GW 2 GW 1 would be Star Wars :Epidode I and GW 2 would be Star Wars : Episode IV . Sure IV had a whiny Luke but over all the movie was great
Isn’t it obvious ? Because you cant go running around calling people Two Legs without Zhed gear . I mean it doesn’t get much simpler than that now does it
The only way to get back armor is through personal story or guild armorer so its not a bug . The only back piece that doesn’t have a level requirement is the starter one for engineer . As for aqua-breathers i have no idea
agreed a /resign would be nice although a /stuck would be nicer . Ive gotten stuck quite a few times jumping into or out of combat
They effect starting gear ,personal story lines and your starting personality .
A side note on gear . The Engineer is the only profession that can start with a back piece . This in my opinion makes it the best choice as it counts as a piece of armor and you wont get another till late in your personal story .
But as an additional money sink it’ll do its job.
We have quite a few of those already . Heck T3 cultural is something like 120 Gold then of course you have trait books ,crafting, repairs and waypointing
Meh, I am in History major (future unemployed).
The fun for me in MMOs is to make some brawny recreations of historical figures. Like my big bad Warrior named Winston Charrchill :Z
And well, I do not think that this:
“No real people. No fantasy characters owned by others. No slurs. No a lot of stuff, go read the EULA and TOS.”
is the case. This refers to real people that could claim ownership of the name, not dead people (nor conserved mummies like Lenin).
John Wilks Booth and Adolf Hitler are dead too but i certainly wouldn’t want to see someone running around with those names . Historical names are banned for a reason
this has been brought up a few times and as much as i love the D&D bard i dont see it happening .
You have to think of the “rifle” skills more as smooth-bore musket skills on the Engineer cause that’s really what they are .
Then it wouldn’t be cultural would it ?
You CAN’T have payed 60 clams for fishing….at least i hope not . Besides since fishing is simply killing a fish and munching on it wouldn’t a Spear,Trident or Speargun work just fine for doing the job ? I say add fish recipes and let us kill fish for the meat the same way we can kill moas for poultry
They are pretty much "look at me im rich " cosmetic armors
There’s so many examples in many different MMO’s where a class gets nerfed because of PvP reasons, making them useless in PvE, or the other way around.
Why can’t you simply make it so when you enter a PvP area, the mists, a battleground or WvWvW the abilities you want to nerf gets nerfed in those areas only? Surely there must be a way for you to nerf abilities in PvP without making them useless in PvE where they were fine or even underpowered?
I don’t PvP and I’m getting a bit fed up with getting kittened because of a area of the game I rarely touch.
I’m honestly not sure why they didn’t do this to begin with . They had this system in GW1 (given it took a while to implement ) so i don’t see why it couldn’t be done for GW2 .
Thief = Sin not only do to the skill names but do to the shadow step ability and the dual strike skills . All of that plus the fact its a medium armor class adds up to Assassin replacement
To convert Coin into Gems early (it will likely have a horrible conversion rate several months down the road )
If you want a specific dye now instead of getting lucky
To Sell excess mats or buy needed ones .
thats just a few reasons
They seem to have wanted to make back armor rare ( why i dont know ) . the Engineer is the only character that can actually start with it .
I honestly dont see why a Leatherworker or a Tailor couldn’t make a back piece even if you weren’t able to make it till higher levels
The thief skill "roll for initiative " is likely a reference to D20 RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons
Icevine Dale seems to pay homage to the game IceWind Dale
As i said before its the FoW of guild wars 2 . Fow cost 800K+ worth of Mats where as any other end game armor was nowhere near that
@Kain Francois you’re half right T3 is representative not of 15K but of FoW from GW1 which was the most expensive armor in the game by FAR .
T3 Cultural is a pure money sink and status symbol even more so .That is the only reason for its existence at all
I think i will never be happy with customization being a simmer so i’ll settle for what i have .
Like i said, the idea was great, but in practise it does not work.
The only reason it "doesn’t work " is because of the mentality people are bringing into it . A Thief cant just stand in front of an Ogre champ only using their heal and expect to live while wailing on the guy , nor could a Guardian for that matter . Positioning and TEAM support is just as important . Ive been in boss fights where everyone’s had to rez a million times and then there have been those times where ive fought that same boss and very few if any rezes were needed .
Of the ones in GW2 right now Tengu or Kodan . With that said however id love to play as a Seer.
I’ll pass. This dance is a bigger fad than the pet rock
Not the place for this debate
If you played GW1 you would know numerous scams that came from direct trading . The TP removes any chance of that.
I assume they will have a pink day in LA at some point but who knows
