Something is odd though, I did this achievement this weekend with a chicken that gave feathers, and it took me well over 10 kicks to get it (at least 30). Finally got it by repeatedly kicking him into a wall as quickly as I could.

Everyone I know including me all needed exactly 10 kicks, so it’d be strange if it was anything else. Maybe you kicked them too fast and 2 out of 3 kicks didn’t get registered?

shield-mode golem in Chaos Fractal and the Raving Asura in Uncategorized? There’s no need for auto/tab-targetting to target a creature that can’t take damage anyway

Its no good. That lower body protection sit a little too high to protect against a decently powered kick.

I don’t think it was made to be functionally defensive anyway.. ice breaks pretty easily

It’s truly a nice outfit, but I have to voice that I find the helmet very ugly. I’d much rather use my HoM hard-earned Icecrown or the blue-eyes fromt Glint’s Gaze as they give a much better icy feel.
I take it there is no update yet on using skins combined with outfits? This was never an issue in GW1, but here in GW2 people have been begging to release at least the helmet or shoulders
of outfits so they can use a normal/better helmet or nightfury/wintersday presence on the shoulders.

that’s because it’s an item skin, and all item skins are hidden when you use an outfit. it’s an outrage that people have complained about since day 1 but anet has yet to even give their stance on the matter.

Popular consensus: Make effects auras that can be equiped in a seperate slot.

TL;DR
When you enter the Dragon Stand you usually end up on an abandoned copy of the map. Use LFG to find a map with high population.
Don’t come too late, good maps fill up fast. check GW2 Timer (on the wiki) to see when new maps start

1. Block, and report for selling gold. It’s illegal.
2. No, not all. Check the meta achievements for which specific details you need. I think it was 2 profession achievements.
3. Check map rewards for which map offers the T6 you want and do events there. You can also buy bags with 3 T6 mats for 1 laurel each.

I thought charr romance was mostly limited to displays of skill and wanted to breed the best of both parents.
A charr wants to find a capable mate to have capable offspring with. So the charr with the most achievements or skills is most likely to find the most mates.

The TP is a supply / demand driven economy.
MCs are currently 90s and there are 11000 for sale.
This morning the price spiked at 1G 10s for a short while as the supply fell down to approx 7000.
The prices fluctuate all the time , so if items are too expensive for you either wait a while or put in a buy order.
The TP is not a shop where cheap prices are guaranteed all the time.

The issue is not the price. That much we already know. The issue is the supply.

Every “active” acount (that is to say every acount that logs in every day) generates 30 mystic coins a month. Now we know that the ‘active’ acount is less than 10% of the total of acounts that log in at least once a week, so for arguments sake, let’s say on average 15 coins enter the game per acount per month.
Most of the people who get their coins use them or store them. Then there’s a few people who sell their coins on the trading post.
As a result, a limited but stagnant supply exists, and this supply keeps decreasing because more and more people realize the supply is stagnant. More people hoard their coins, increasing the value/rarity, and thus more people start hoarding their coins. It’s a vicious cycle that enhances itself.
At some point, no one will dare to sell their mystic coins ever again out of fear of never being able to get more

This was a disaster last year, but it appears no extra servers/instances are being rolled this year.. whelp
at least I got the presence done last year so its not much stress for me.. still a shame, though

Did anything ever happen to the sword you ‘loot’ in the ascalonian catacombs just so Logan and uncle Trombone can be buddies again?
Rytlock still caries around Sohothin, but whatever happened to Magdaer?

IIRC Eir send to sword to Beigarth to have it fixed, but I haven’t heard from it yet. Apparantly when one has both swords they can cleanse the Searing in Ascalon?
Maybe that’s why Rytlock’s fix didn’t work, he only had Sohothin?

I think necromancy is the way to go. but elementalists can go halfway as well

Considering I used an offensive Water Ele in GW1 PvP (all elements could be made into a DPS build) and was sad to see it 100% support in GW2 I’d love the idea. It’s disappointing when games shoehorn the water element into a healing only magic when it’s actually the most versatile and destructive element on Earth. City Of Heroes did it right with their full Control+DPS nuking Water power. :>

And just to be clear, I’m really talking about ice: freezing people in their tracks, piercing them with lances, etc. No more healing, no support, just a straight old lance through the chest.

Sword: Short ranged weapon
1) Glaive: swings the blade, the motion is trailed by razor sharp hail.
2) Thrust: gains power (up to 5 stacks) for every previously cast Glaives, the thrust blows all the hail in a straight line to the enemy, piercing through and hitting other enemies along the way.
3) Bitfrost: Chill your enemy, deals extra damage like torment.
4) Pulse spikes out of the ground in a small circle around the targets location, causing cripple and bleeding, and explodes after for a chilling cloud.
5) Hail: create an AoE of hail

Elite spec skills:
6) Bloodshard: Freeze the opponents blood, healing you for every strike you deal
7-9) Hexes based on the element (change like signet, storm and elemental)
0) King Frozenwind’s Blessing: hex: the hexed foe is surrounded by a chilling cloud that does damage for chill. the cloud follows the target and inflicts chill on nearby enemies

So far ice/water elementalists have always been on the supporting side.
Even in offensive form the damage is mediocre compared to earth and fire.

So my request is, since ice attacks can be really cool (badum*tsss) for an elite spec on the elementalist that puts emphasis on the use of ice making it a viable element to wield.

So far the only way you’re accepted in group content with ice-related skills is the ice bow..

What poison? whenever I run through the silverwastes it’s pretty easy for me. At best I run into a few crippling devourers..

480 8GB is a better buy then a 6GB 1060 now. They’re basically the same at 1080P but 480s are better at 1440P should you choose to go that route.

Especially if you have a freesync monitor, go for a 480 over a 1060.

Exactly, at 1440p 480 is better, but the 1060 is much more reliable, especially since no one games at 1440p yet

I´m very satisfied with my GTX1060 if that helps. but as others said, you don´t need a cannon for the gunfight that is GW2. instead make sure the CPU is proper.

As for the comments that 480 is better than 1060, that´s purely circumstancial.
I doubt many people here play the games that make the difference clear, and tbh, I have much better experiences with nvidia

They waypoints unlock as you fight through the meta, so yea, if you warp in, you get on a dead map and all waypoints are contested

If you still need winter´s presence, that one won´t be lowered. But you don´t need to do the 10K drinks during wintersday, you can continue drinking after the holidays.

If they do have new collections for this year, I do hope it´s not as tedious.

PLEASE, it’s been four years and disconnects are still game overs. Are still a kick in the skritt. Why is it so hard to allow people to reconnect? do you hate your playerbase, anet? Do you have some sort of spite against us?

It really varries from request to request.
Some requests are just not in the game yet, and then ‘go play another game’ isn’t really an argument.
But in the case GW2 does something differently intentionally and somoene doesn’t like it, well, then it’s the game and they should go play something else if it really bothers them. Like mounts. Anet specifically made the waypoint system to not need mounts and because GW1 also didn’t have mounts. Now people who want mounts come with the suggestion to remove the waypoints to make the mounts viable. But thats a clear case of ‘go play another game, if you want mounts so badly’

We already got nevermore. Unlikely to see a third staff before all the others are done. They might skip the aquatic weapons, though

Autotarget will prioritze event mobs or the highest grade mob. Even if theyre not even on your screen. Autotarget is truly unreliable at the best of times

But on topic: its a lv 80 merchant, even if the exotics are worthless for you, there’s no reason why 79- exotics should drop.
and secondly.. it’s gambling through gambling.
you give up 33% of your gamble for a chance in a fourth gamble.. how does that make sense?

It’s not hyperbole: BL chests are exactly like lotto tickets; they drop garbage with a teenie tiny chance of something tremendous.

Regarding the exotic drops from the Jotun: they are apparently exactly the same as what you might get from the Mystic Forge, if you tossed in four exotics, with an average level of 74+.

For reasons that (sort of) made sense at the time, they changed that particular combination to offer up both L80 weapons and L75-79 weapons with other skins. The week they made the change, it increased the output value (since the skins were rare at the time, and so the items were expensive). These days, with the cheap rares spit out during AB/ML and the super cheap exotics spitting out from BL chests, the L75-79 skins aren’t worth much.

On the other hand, you can just sell the tokens for 50 silver, which is a fairly nice piece of junk from the BL chests, that used to drop little you could sell.
