I didn’t say HoD was at their peak although the way I worded the sentence may have seemed so.

DH was at their peak coming in to that match. Just prior they beat Mag and DB. While FA would have still won by a lot, it wouldn’t have been as big a landslide if it weren’t for a dead server being in the match.

Similarly, the new Mag is beating YB by as much as they are because there is a dead server in the match.

Comparing DB vs YB and Mag vs YB doesn’t make any sense considering one of those matches had a dead server in them.

If there is a dead server in the match, the winning server will look far stronger than they actually are.

We aren’t recruiting to fight CD, lol. We are looking ahead.

Any score updates? Mos hasn’t updated in over four hours.

^Did any go to Mag? The ones that went to Kain can be accused of bandwagoning, but not the ones that went to FA. Our server spent 9 weeks in T3 and did not come in 1st place during any of those weeks. There was no mass server transfers to FA until those former IoJ guilds decided to come to FA as a group. They came to FA because they respected our server, not because we had any hope of going up the ranks.

They should have had guesting and paid transfers from the start. They didn’t and we criticized them for it. Now they are correcting their mistake so I won’t criticize them further in this regard.

Well, KH did transfer to TC, lol.

Mag will beat us so bad, we will drop below T8. Hopefully it circles around and we end up in T2/T3.

I think it’s kinda nice that this thread isn’t entirely consisted of “DB’s only winning because they nightcap and get carried by asians and their NA crew sucks” like previous WvW threads were.

It’s funny that you guys get a new experience in-game and on the forums! I can only imagine you guys destroying T4, getting excited about your new opponents, fighting hard on the battlefield, then going on the forums to read on what people are saying about the match only to see its CD and FA arguing about stuff that happened before the match.

According to mos, the rating between you guys is 13 points. DB will have to make a big push throughout the day before NA primetime when CD seems to have an advantage over them.

Just got done playing for today. A lot of good fights in DB BL. All three servers are filling the maps right now so the potential points are more even. FA and CD keep on swapping the lead.

Unless DB makes a bigger push against CD throughout the week, I don’t think they will be in T3 next match. They will probably come in 2nd place, but they will need to pull ahead to surpass CD in rating. Will be interesting to watch as the week unfolds.

Since I’m off, I hope someone else posts score updates.

Amazing battle between FA and DB for Hills in DB BL. Was really tough but we took it.

CD made a comeback lol. They have 285, FA has 250, DB has 160. CD took SMC from DB to boost their points.

I think they already decided against CD, the OP has another thread going asking whether FA or Mag will be in Tier 2, so I would assume they are going for one of those two.

When I saw his name on the other thread, I was wondering why I thought I’ve seen it before. Now I know, lol.

That would be funny if he bases his decision on whether FA or Mag would win in a fight. Then again, he did state he wanted a server that would get them back to T2.

You should join Fort Aspenwood. We are in T3, but we are not a full server. We have no alliances since the server is the alliance. Guilds are friendly with one another and ready to coordinate. There is a community teamspeak that has many of the guilds in it.

You got bandwagon transfers (not the level of Mag or Kain of course) once CD started winning. There was discussion on it in one of the threads. Not going to bother digging there as we already know. Servers only give up when they are outnumbered. They don’t just mysteriously stop playing after a couple of weeks of close matches.

We’ve been travelling a lot through from tier 4 all the way to tier 2, Looks like we are caught in a spider web at the moment at the top of Tier 3, because we can’t cover 24 hours with full power. We could use more oceanic and Asian players, because we are not even +300 on potentials at that time, but other times we are +500. If we had some more guilds come with players at Asia or around times we lack of people, we could push ahead into tier 2 and finally get away from servers we are farly stronger than.

It was already announced on the FA forum when this topic was created. I didn’t want to say anything about it on these forums because I thought it would be funny for CD to get confused why there were IoJ guild tags next to Fort Aspenwood Invader. Someone just had to mention it in the match thread later in the day though.

Yep, we’re the biggest thread of the week. Next up is T2. Their first thread got closed a couple of hours after reset, lol. Third is T5 (the Kaineng tier).

Classic Prisoner’s Dilemma. Why should DB trust CD to not attack them while they focus on FA? If DB did that, CD has more to gain by attacking DB. It looks like they already don’t trust you guys, lol.

The goal of sending FA to T4 is probably more valued by CD players than DB players anyway. They just want to stay in the tier and they already have a good chance to do that.

I just noticed DB is only 4 rating points below CD.

Perhaps, but the turnaround happens at 8am EST which is 2pm (or 1400 if you prefer) in Europe. It is very late in Asia now so maybe DB has stronger Asian and European populations.

I wonder how the weekdays will affect scoring. In the past few days (including today), DB is relatively strong compared to FA/CD starting 8am EST. On Saturday, FA took the potential point lead back right before 4pm EST. On Sunday, 12pm EST.

FA hasn’t taken it back yet and the fact that our NA players can’t play all day like on the weekends won’t help. This seems to be the only span of time DB is able to make gains against FA. Who is playing right now? Asians? Europeans?

It will even out. Blowouts are happening because of deserted servers being in higher tiers and bandwagoned servers being in lower tiers. The latter cause will start to be fixed by next week when the 10 strongest servers will take up the top 11 spots. After that it will take a few weeks for those servers to settle in the right tiers. The dead servers moving down may take a longer time. IoJ is headed for T8 and will be in T5 next week so it won’t take too long, but SBI will continue to be in T2 when they should now be in T6-T8.

Since Mag will be green next week, an FA victory would send our rating up. If the projected ratings as of the latest scores holds for the rest of the week, SBI and FA are around 55 points away. SBI will be red though so they might not lose as much rating unless there is another blowout (which there may be). Most of Mag thinks FA will win because Mag lacks Oceanic coverage. If true, FA will win.

Mag and Kain are big questions though. They haven’t gone up against another top 10 server (SoS/JQ/BG/SoR/TC/CD/FA/DB/Mag/Kain listed by current ranking) yet. As large as their victories are, their opponents do not have anywhere near the same population and coverage as the superservers. YB is probably going to be ranked 11th after the tiers stabilize. DB beat them by a landslide with EB there to balance the score a bit. Mag winning by more than DB did can be attributed to having a dead server in the match so we can’t assume Mag is even stronger than DB yet until the next match happens.

It will be exciting to see where each server will end up in. If I had to guess, T3 will be TC, Mag, and DB in a month.

If Mag doesn’t have many Oceanics as they say they don’t, this won’t be much of a match score-wise. I am still excited to fight Old Mag and see their crazy tactics.

Fort Aspenwood has a lot of guilds that do that kind of stuff. We have a very active WvW community as well.

It’s not the best place for PvE, but you can guest on another NA server anyway.

Our of curiosity. Is most of IOJ xfers done or are they still moving over to FA? Right now FA is big enough to handle both CD/DB. Hopefully that will balance out with the guilds xfering over to DB. I estimated we had about 1.5k+ trying to transfer to us from reset day. Either way, the match is not yet over. We still have the weekdays to see how things turn out. This match can still be taken by any server.

There are probably some players from former IoJ guilds who haven’t got the memo yet, but for the most part, I think the IoJ transfers are done. FA isn’t a full server so there are no problems getting in. That said, we are still expecting more transfers. We received a couple from DH and one from JQ. There are still more guilds interested in joining our community so we will continue to welcome them.

Fort Aspenwood would be a great choice for your guild.

This is a really good match. DB still has a shot at staying in this tier without having to beat FA. I want to see FA/Mag/DB rematch!

We definitely won’t underestimate T2 if we make it there. But this is our 10th week in a row in T3 and are 7th week in a row fighting CD. We just need a breath of fresh air right now.

As for SBI, I hope you land in a tier you will be competitive soon. HoD is now having a blast in T7. Good luck!

Score and map update? I want to see how well everybody is doing. And I can’t remember, but…don’t we usually get taken to last on the weekend only to rush back up to 1st during the week?

Looking at the mos site, this doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ll look at our matches with IoJ.

Week 1: CD came out of the weekend in the lead. IoJ took the lead on Tuesday and kept it. CD came in third. Many players from CD have stated this week isn’t representative of their server since it was the holidays.

Week 2: CD started with the lead. IoJ took the lead mid-Sunday. CD took back the lead mid-Wednesday and kept it.

Week 3: CD started with a big lead, but the gap decreased and all three servers were very close from mid-Sunday to the end of Tuesday. IoJ and FA were fighting for second at that point allowing CD to gain.

Week 4: CD had a large lead the entire time. The gap between CD and FA decreased in the last day due to the transfers.

Based on the previous results, I don’t think we can predict how CD will perform throughout the week. We will just have to see.

Now look at tier 3. FA is another T1 material server that has so much more manpower it aren’t funny. Yet CD and DB are still holding their own.

Wow, people have high expectations of FA! All T3 servers have comparable populations. FA is probably the biggest of the three now I admit. Not sure if we all made it to T1 yet. All three have benefited from transfers. CD got transfers when they were winning in T4 and then a few more in T3. CD was outnumbering us until we got the IoJ transfers to catch up and bypass them. DB got many transfers through their victories in T4/T5.

My guess is that we have all bypassed TC since they are relatively weak in Oceanic time. Not sure how we compare to SoS/JQ/BG/SoR. Next few weeks will be interesting. Especially when Mag and Kaineng take on other superservers so we can accurately determine their strength.

You may have to ask those guilds. I think they went to SoS and SoR. If I had to guess based on what I’ve read, they were nervous about how IoJ’s recruitment efforts (both getting new guilds to come and getting PvE people to WvW) haven’t paid off and paid transfers were coming. Whatever one may think of them, they also stuck through IoJ and all the losses they endured. Bandwagoners left IoJ way before the exodus as there was no reason for a bandwagoner to stay on IoJ for so long. After dropping back to T2 after their brief visit to T1, they’ve only one once (the week they dropped to T3) and lost right after.

FA honestly hasn’t surprised me. I expected them to out do CD with their new transfers and they have (up till now). It’s a great fight and there is no clear winner yet which is very exciting. I must say its hard to adjust from just rolling over everything to actually having resistance. I’ve had to dust off my tactics book a few times.

Yeah T3 and T4 are a world apart. We got into T3 by winning in a huge landslide against Darkhaven at their prime. This is our 10th week being stuck here and we are hoping to make this win our first victory, lol.

Thanks. Glad to see FA do well at this time. In the past, our population always vanished at 11pm EST. Last night didn’t give me much hope that our West Coast troubles would change, but this is relief. It’s really tough for us on the East Coast to take towers/keeps and start upgrading them only for the enemy to PvDoor them down the moment we go to bed. Then our Oceanics get on and have to take back everything.
