A bunch of randoms did it after 4 attempts during their first try. C’mon.
William S. Burroughs
Moreover, thanks for the LFG system, without the possibility to quickly replace leaving players it would be completely pointless even to enter the thing.

I like everything about this kitten path. Except a few weird bugs/kinks, which still have to be weeded out (try fighting the clockheart when half of the floor is constantly electrified :>), it’s a very well done, challenging, varied dungeon, which DOES NOT ALLOW SPEEDRUNS, HUZZAH. It’s a bit sad that F/U had to die and that lower levels can only look at the new content and sob over their keyboards, but other than that it restored some of my faith after the Tequatl massacre, one of the worst events that hit the poor ole’ Tyria.

F/U was not ‘tedious’, but heavily bugged towards the end.
William S. Burroughs
And do you get the TA currency for this? You mention fragments, if you mean empyreal, I’ve got them in abundance… :P
William S. Burroughs
In time, when people get their achievements, the place will get completely deserted.
William S. Burroughs
No. :*
:)

Actually, nvm, it seems that the survey’s creator neglected to update it for the last 7 hours since the original post. We’ll have to wait for the reliable results. However, keep in mind that the number of people who are already sick of zergfests (teamspeak ones included) is significant and for some, large amounts of teq-like content would mean the death of their fav game. Me included.
William S. Burroughs
I just wished they focused on colourful and rich content, like the Bazaar. A really beautiful area, achievements that demanded doing a dozen different things, absolutely no need to zerg…

Looks like it only includes the bosses they revamped in the patch. A wild guess, but, for example, doing the Flame Shaman did not work.
William S. Burroughs
I bump this for greater good. Also attached, the elemental pre-event without the chaotic materials marked on the minimap.
William S. Burroughs
Just want to see how many people do not see the point in doing this event anymore. I am certainly done with it, without even trying too much. For me it’s just another zergfest, but with a twist, a teamspeak twist.
Yeah, it’s (probably) great that an event of this kind has been implemented, I get it that some people love this kind of stuff, but I see that these people are loudly demanding more such content (being a minority, according to the surveys) and I’d hate to see more and more of this game turning into a massive, coordinated raid-like events.
Some of us really prefer small-to-moderately sized groups and just do not feel well running around with a huge bunch of people, spamming the same combinations of keys for over 10 minutes and waiting for a bar to go down. Some most likely do not even have the machines for zerging. Others hate VOIP communication. I just want to make sure that Tequatl won’t set a trend for a game that has a perfectly balanced, relaxed gameplay for a non-hardcore player like me.
Just to be clear – I don’t want it nerfed, the event will never be a thing for me. I just hope that Splintered Coast will be the last area that I have to avoid ’til Kingdom Come.
William S. Burroughs
Yup, the whole event is dead for me, my 2 main characters are pure condition damage…
William S. Burroughs
You might add ‘not until condition damage is fixed’ to the list… :P
William S. Burroughs
According to one survey on this forum, over 90% of people do not want to even get close to this event anymore. Not everyone shares your sentiment, then.
William S. Burroughs
Same thing on Piken.
William S. Burroughs
Maybe it’s the goldsink we were promised?
William S. Burroughs
10%? Pics or did not happen.
William S. Burroughs
Well, about Zhaitan – the Crown Pavillon alone had enough power to change this pseudo-cthulhu into a rotten pile of pulp.
William S. Burroughs
Turret trolls. It’s a thing now.
William S. Burroughs
I’m missing quite a lot of event indicators on one of my characters. While the red/orange circle displays just fine, there’s often no crossed swords marking mission objectives and no symbols for pirates/alliance during the invasions. Ticket already sent, to no avail, this is the third time I ask for help on this forum… Reinstalling the client atm, but as this happens for only one out of five chars, it may not solve the problem. Any ideas? :)
William S. Burroughs
Hey, did you find out any solution for this? One of my characters got bugged in pretty much the same way…
William S. Burroughs
Piken Square, 5 attempts, not even close. Easy mode like Gendarran and Lornar’s included. Commanders just called pirate farming and that was it. :P
William S. Burroughs
If so, then this thread is full of misguided people:

William S. Burroughs
So, you’re telling me that the gossip about them being perm content is just that?
William S. Burroughs
(edited by Asmodeus.5782)
yeah, Aspect was mighty fun, too bad it’s gone. Maybe because the matches were too short and easy to complete…
William S. Burroughs
…like giving people ANY incentive to finish the kitten things, because in the current form they’ll be failed on purpose ’til teh Kingdom come, and considering they are permanent content, it might just be the case. ;D Balancing the number of pirate champions would be a great start… Maybe something like an infinite achievement, which gives +1 for each Scarlet killed?
William S. Burroughs
Only that they won’t go away completely, it’s permanent content, they will still happen from time to time, randomly sucking the population from the rest of the world.
William S. Burroughs
And a refund for those who bought like 5 sets of these?
William S. Burroughs
No moar grindfests, pretty plz…
William S. Burroughs
Was going to buy more gems tomorrow, on hold until I see the new LS… :/
William S. Burroughs
Two of the original GW founders left? Great, I already put hundreds of dollars into the game and now I learn that the company may turn it into yet another interwebz grindfest?
William S. Burroughs
Yeah, sad times. I thought the company is generally against such mindless grind in their game. Maybe it’s to do with economy changes, they wanted to prepare the market for this?
William S. Burroughs
A one week of vanilla game between the releases is all I ask. More time for polishing and testing (kitten , that one is necessary), more people in the actual, original, beautiful world.
William S. Burroughs
Sorry, but bump, this thing is really bugging me.
To be precise, I’m missing these icons:

One of my characters, an engineer, is missing some event objective tags during the clockwork invasions, namely the aethers’ and molten red circles (icons in the middle/overhead, not the whole map rings). The crossed swords for minions display just fine, but I have no indication if an event is a pirate or an alliance one and if the kitten captains weren’t so big, I’d have no chance to find them in the crowd.
I’ve already asked this question in a dozen or so overflows, but so far the only answer I got was to file an ingame bug report. First I wanted to ask for help here, maybe I missed some option that turns the kitten things on… However, my elementalist sees them just fine, so it just might be a kitten glitch…
