Maining an engineer, so legendaries are not even an issue for me. :P And after 2000 hours you should have more than enough gold to buy a prec.
William S. Burroughs
The event is blocked for a few days already. Just doesn’t start.
William S. Burroughs
Jeez, it’s enough to do a few lousy events with veterans in them to complete this. Check out the meaning of ‘achievement’.
William S. Burroughs
Taking the advice in this thread, I tried to clear out a waypoint. I had catapults pinning me from either side, mobs that respawned constantly, NPCs that died as soon as I rezzed them, and a 5 minute run back every time I died.
I get the feeling the game is tuned to have about ten times more people running around than it has. I can’t imagine I’m supposed to be doing this alone.
Sounds like the bridge in Malchor’s Leap. Not sure if it is tagged as group, but i have no clue how to solo it. The catapults will bounce you around if you try to revive the pact engineers. And if you break a catapult some risen will instantly run over to rebuild it.
Huh, I soloed it with my flamethrower engi and 2xaxe warrior quite a few times, with relative ease… You have to clear out some Risen, true… But they do not respawn that often.
So it is another case of a DPS check…
Dunno, my chars are heavily vit-toughness oriented.
William S. Burroughs
imo, Teq is not a good example, as in fighting it the individual skill is less important than the zerg coordination. I don’t want my achievements to be earned by dozens of other players, it’s hardly an achievement. Unless you call “camping the Splitered Coast all day” one, this might actually count.
William S. Burroughs
Well, that’s why I consider the Bazaar to be the best release since summer. Some achievs sent you on a series of jumping puzzles, another forced you to win a really competitive race… And all this with absolutely no zerg to help you out. Had loads of fun back then.

Well, it’s only for these materials, which can’t be sold anyway. Trains will still be fine for gold grind.
William S. Burroughs
Well, the ascended materials are a way to make people go back to doing them, got any other ideas to make trains any less popular in comparison to normal questing?
Most of the champs in Queensdale Train are also events. No, i don’t think that making DE’s more valuable will make it any less popular.
That’s why I proposed diminishing returns, to make the champ event farming inefficient in comparison to roaming the world.
William S. Burroughs
Can anyone confirm this?
William S. Burroughs
Krait actually enjoy building towers reaching high above the water, these debris structures are practically everywhere you meet them.
William S. Burroughs
I approve of this message. An option is to introduce diminishing returns for farming a single map instead of simply removing the rewards from certain events, it should make the trains inefficient anyway.
William S. Burroughs
I heard you can customize your own playlists for different situations.

William S. Burroughs
Soon they are going to introduce new ascended materials, more than likely available from the DE events. This might send some people that way, but the majority will just keep farming the champion trains (these are series of dynamic events too, after all) and we’ll miss the rare chance to revitalize the system.
The solution is simple: diminishing returns on the ascended materials for farming a single zone for more than about 6-7 events.
William S. Burroughs
The sad state of DE (one of the most interesting aspects of GW2, but nevertheless a dead one) may improve after introducing the new ascended mats as rewards, but only with some serious diminishing returns on farming one zone over and over again.
Otherwise, trains are just going to train ’til the Kingdom come…
William S. Burroughs
I hope that they will make the new ascended mats for armor available from DE with some severe diminishing returns on farming a single zone over and over again. So many hilarious, interesting events are going to waste right now…
William S. Burroughs
Eh, about the dynamic events system gathering dust – even if they introduce some new materials as rewards from DE, people will just stay on the trains anyway, unless some kind of severe diminishing returns for grinding a single zone is implemented.
William S. Burroughs
Just you wait until the 6 ascended armor pieces start eating up your materials.
William S. Burroughs
Well, I bought 6 full sets. And I would like to switch some Halloween pickaxes with the Molten ones, as the Halloween one would be a much better choice for my necro, for example… So yeah, I approve of the idea.
William S. Burroughs
This has probably been brought up countless times before, but here it goes.
For many people shift is the best key for dodging. It’s also impossible to unbind the paste-in functionality from it. In the heat of the battle, a poor soul often ends up spamming the chat with some random skill and then dies, sometimes leading to a party wipe.
Why isn’t the paste-in/ping option in the controls customization menu? It can’t be that different from all the other bindings…
William S. Burroughs
The best update since July.
William S. Burroughs
+1 for the cleaver. Also, a chainsaw for the Halloween infinite wood chopping axe. :P
William S. Burroughs
Mebbe it was to encourage people to do wvw and events.
William S. Burroughs
As many people above stated, besides being kitten powerful, warriors are largely lag-proof. A full set of signet passives and you’re all set for today’s wvw environment.
William S. Burroughs
Feedback him as a mesmer, hilarious.
William S. Burroughs
Sir… that song is awesome. Thank you for introducing me to that band
o7 Rock on!

Heyyy, the daily is here again. Maybe it’s permanent, like gatherer?
William S. Burroughs
I will always turn it down in its current state, mate. No matter the rewards. I actually prefer to do some of my RL work and pay for gold/items with real money than to waste life camping and zerging this boring event. One just does not feel that he’s doing anything in the zerg, maybe on the turrets, but it’s only 6 people out of the whole bunch…

I would never encourage the developers to introduce more content of this kind by joining such an initiative, but hf.
William S. Burroughs
It’s just that so many people hate zerging, and teamspeak coordinated zerging is even more frustrating for some…
William S. Burroughs
Well, I guess they can fix this class by class, omitting the guardians, if they are indeed fine already (the only class I haven’t played, actually).
William S. Burroughs
It was kind of amusing to see this daily after the rollover. It the Splintered Coast such a desert already? During my one and only visit during the last 3 weeks the poor scaly zombie was indeed all alone…
William S. Burroughs
But they are okay with the full-berserker meta and killing everything before its mechanics even start to work properly? Eh. :P I am writing this as en engi, wanting to have some fun with the elixir gun/healing turret support.
William S. Burroughs
Oy, are there any upcoming fixes to the terrible state in which the healing power currently is? I see that at least the necros got something, but will it get buffed in general? Any anet comments on this? My quick google search showed nothing, nada, nil. Would be nice to see some change from the ever-present silly dps stacking.
William S. Burroughs
Sure.
:)
William S. Burroughs
Try going to the Chantry of Secrets and revisiting as many different maps as possible.
William S. Burroughs
It’s still a problem, dear devs.
William S. Burroughs
Now I’d like to play it, too. :P
William S. Burroughs
No help from anet (goodbye, sweet ticket, on your way to oblivion), no help from players. Not even a single educated guess in these few threads I made. Cute.
William S. Burroughs
Yeah, check out EVE’s Goonswarm. They’re willing to pay real money just to see others rage.
William S. Burroughs
Some people are so bent on glitching that they hug the wall during the spider queen fight in the very same dung, wiping the team more often than when fighting her in a straightforward way. :P
William S. Burroughs
Just one thing, you don’t need glitches to win most dungeon fights, it’s just that most people are lazy and prefer it over normal coordinated fights. Glitching Colossus Rumblus in AC P3 is the saddest example of that. This fight is so easy done properly, come on. :>
William S. Burroughs
Every single lfg I make is labelled “no speedruns, no glitching, no excessive skipping”. As an engineer/necro I never join groups created by others (too many kick-happy elitist dimwits around). Luckily there is more than enough people who like to play the game without grinding it as fast as humanly possible, because, frankly, all those full zerker warrior/guardian/mesmer teams are just boring as hell. Also, I’m more than happy to drag a 35 with <1000 ap through the catacombs, it’s kitten satisfying when you find out they’re actually better players and much more pleasant people than the whole ‘durr, berzerk’, crowd.
Just make your own groups, luckily there’s plenty of people who enjoy doing dungeons in a non-cookie cutter way.

Well, in pvp it’s a monster, that’s for sure.
William S. Burroughs
Mine is currently 10/25/5/30/0, with a lot of toughness in items. Will probably make it 10/30/0, in order to get this 33% scepter cond bonus. :P
William S. Burroughs
Here’s hoping. Ty, guys.
